I want to acknowledge some excellent dinning and exceptional service at the Factoria, Bellevue Outback Steakhouse. We love this restaurant yes for the food which is always delicious, but above that is the amazing staff. We have had the pleasure of getting to know Managing Partner Arturo Garcia since he started at this location. I can't say enough about him (he always brightens my day and my dining experience). He is so friendly and caring about his customers and staff. Speaking of his staff they are so professional, friendly and just all around Awesome! Shout out to Carrie, Caleb, Jared and Phillips. I wish I could give this place 3.5 stars, because it truly rates 3.5 stars. But because there are no half-star options, I'll round down. But when my kids and I came here a few days ago, we truly had a good meal and our service was fantastic! I was here once, 15 years ago or so, and had a lousy steak in a smoke-filled restaurant and vowed never to return. But return I did, 15 years later, with kids in tow, lured in by the aroma of steak wafting through the parking lot. And boy, it smelled good! Our hostess was cheery, and our waiter, William, a native Aussie, was phenomenal. He had my kids laughing (and they're teenagers who see little humor in most things!) and was really attentive and prompt with our orders. Kids split a salad and I had a steak. The food was okay. Not great but better than average. My steak was well seasoned but was quite fatty. It was cooked medium rare as I had requested and the baked potato was good. The 9 oz glass of St. Michelle riesling I had was priced less than in any other restaurant I'd been to (bonus!), and the steak was reasonably priced for what you got. The place was super clean and you can tell it's a popular spot, as it was hopping and every table was occupied. We would definitely come back. read more

First off, I don't really see anything that's particularly Australian about this place. It's like your regular run of the mill steakhouse or American restaurant. We only went there because one of our group liked it. The restaurant was clean and the tables well spaced. The waitstaff were adequate, not overly friendly but reasonable in manner. We went early so there weren't a lot of people and on a weekday. We started off with that fried onion thing. I never liked it that much because it was very oily, and it was as oily as I remembered it from the past. I could only stomach a few pieces but it was polished off by the rest of my group. I found the menu to be very spare. Of course it was steak house so there weren't that many other choices. I used to get pork chops there but they didn't have that. They didn't even have fish and chips! I ended up getting a shrimp item. The bread and the salad were pretty good. My own shrimp was ok. Can't really complain but can't rave about it either. I would say my meal was overall average. Honestly, I think it was better before and I'd probably pick a different restaurant next time. read more

Outback Steakhouse reminds me of the time when we went to Australia - the hubby's cousin picked us up from the airport and we were asking him what are some good places to eat there. I'm a big fan of Outback because the one in Guam (service & food) always kicks ass. Anyway I've been disappointed 3 times in a row by the Seattle location, so I decided to give this one a shot (I wonder why it took so long because I live in Bellevue). Anyway, the steaks we all ordered were cooked/cut to order (rib eye, sirloin, prime ribs), delicious as always (better than Black Angus, but of course not as good as Daniel's Broiler). The cheese fries are always a favorite (seriously it's almost a reason to visit Outback by itself). Our service at this location was much better than Seattle's. Our wait time was about 25 minutes on a friday evening, but we sat in the bar with some tall Fosters which worked well to kill the time. I'm quite satisfied with this Outback location, and would happily give it 5 stars. My only real complaint is that I noticed the prices have gone up maybe about 10%. Anyway if you're in the mood for a decently priced and tasting steak, and/or want some kick ass cheese fries...definitely visit this Outback Bellevue location. ~G p.s. Three stars for food. Zero stars for customer service. So overall I'll give it one star. The server seemed to have forgotten we were there. Beverages never refilled, didn't bother checking on us until we were long passed finished and ready to pay, and came across entitled. In addition, he used the stupid computer that was on the table to input our food order, then took it with him. I didn't realize until after my food was delivered that he had rang me in for the larger portion of the Aussie Chicken. Needless to say he received a crap tip. I was hungry so I went to Outback after walking into the new Ramen shop but they told us they opened tomorrow. Outback was good. Bar not so crowded and had Lobster tail with steak along with a loaded baked potato and salad. I remember last time and I was in and a customer ordered the lobster tail and that was the smallest lobster tail I had ever seen-almost no meat. That was my concern but it was good. Food was exactly what you would expect from a franchise restaurant. Out of our party of 12 no one was unhappy with their choice. My salad was a bit over dressed, but tasty. So I have been to an Outback or two in my time and I generally know what to expect, and am rarely surprised one way or the other. I was actually shocked to see that one had opened practically within walking/biking distance of my house and excited to think of the possibilities. The venue is relatively new and looks slick from the outside and does not disappoint when you walk through the doors; this is an Outback, no question. Why 2 stars, you ask? I looked at the menu before I went and was fully intending to take advantage of a nearby happy hour that promised some pretty solid dishes and drinks at the right price, and I was right to assume that where would be a large HD screen showing MNF at 5:30 PST. My main target was the extremely well-priced prime rib sandwich, and this is where we started going downhill. Expectation: 1-2 thin slices of juicy prime rib. Yes, I know it's a happy hour sandwich so I did not expect the finest cut in the house, but I also did not expect what I received, which looked like the worst parts of the tip of a chuck roast thrown through a blender then laid out on dry bread. To the credit of the bartender, he didn't even blink when I sent it straight back, which tells me this was not his first experience with this complaint. I also have to say that the Blooming Onion was mildly underwhelming, probably overcooked. Nuff said on the food. I don't enjoy giving a 2 star to a place where the service was strong and the happy hour value is decent, at least as far as the drinks go. That said, there is plenty of room for improvement, and I expect a brand like Outback's will bounce back eventually, especially considering this is a relatively new location. Side note: I do not know if this location has free wifi, but I was recently at another Outback location (in Florida) where wifi was not offered, and I only have one thing to say about that. Went there tonight (Friday September 14th) went to eat at the bar, got a menu from the waitress (nice gal) exchanged pleasantries and placed my order. Since it was my first time there I kept the menu and was browsing through it...next thing I know a hyper male bartender is on me, asking if I was ready to order: before I could I answer, I put my hand to my ear and he starts barking orders at me. Can't remember exactly what he said but it was super loud and meant to make me wrong. when he is informed I have already ordered he grabs the menu and wants to argue. Away we go. His normal voice was too loud and too hyper for me but now he's aggravated at me. His argument was that when I placed my hand on my ear it was his green light to use his outdoor voice to straighten me out. Remember the "soup nazi"? This guy is the "outback bar nazi". Well that was my first and last visit to the Outback Steakhouse. And don't want to get caught breaking any of this guys routine again. PS this guy wouldn't let it drop at one bad encounter. After we finished round #1. He came back and confronted me a second time to prove to me I was wrong. He was right I was wrong for going into his lair. It won't happen again. read more

Your typical American dine in with quality slightly better than Applebee's. There aren't too much options in Eastgate for food although you can just go down the hill to Factoria and find tons of options. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at Outback, but if I'm sitting in one, there isn't anything to complain about. Food is food. There just isn't anything significant about my experience with the food here to be worth remembering. The portions here are a generous size considering there are a lot of steaks/ribs dishes. I ordered some chicken sandwich dish that came with fries and share it was another person, it was the perfect size to share that got me full, but not in a food coma. I haven't been to Outback for many years due to other steak restaurants where the quality of the dinner is better. I do have to say that it wasn't bad this time even though we initially came here to try their advertised tv special, but once we got to the restaurant our waiter informed us that the deal has already expired. The restaurant was totally packed, but luckily a booth in the bar area opened up and we were seated immediately otherwise we would have had a long waiting time for the dining room section. My gf and I had both ordered the top sirloin steak and they were cooked as ordered. I enjoyed the spices they put on the steak to make it more flavorful otherwise I would have added ketchup. LOL. The baked potato was kind of small, but adequate since I was not very hungry due to the salad I had with the meal. Our waiter was very nice and friendly during our entire meal and made sure that we were pleased with all that we had gotten. The price was on point for what we had ordered and would choose to eat here next time instead of Applebee's for one of their steak dinners. read more

I used to love Outback Steakhouse. I always order the cheese fries and a ribeye. In the past it was always pretty good with fresh steak and flavorful sides. Somewhere around the time they started offering Wood fired grilled" steaks the quality started declining a bit. The flavor of the steak had a definite artificial smoke flavor to it. I stopped going for awhile after that. Recently I had a craving for cheese fries (I have an addiction for those things I think) and decided to stop by on the way home and wait for bad traffic to subside. I was very bummed by what I got. I ordered my usual and my salad and cheese fries came out about 5 minutes after I ordered which was cool. I was hungry! Unfortunately, the cheese fries were great tasting, but the fries had a cardboard-like texture that I couldn't get past. But they were still edible. Within about 10 minutes of ordering my ribeye came out which seemed quick to me for a steak. When I cut into it it was tough, dry, and frankly tasted terrible. My first thought was that the place had become about the same quality as an average Western Sizzler. I was quite let down. The worst part of all of this was the bill. For a little more than I paid here, I could have gone into Bellevue and gotten exponentially better food, atmosphere, and service. I think the next time I'm craving cheese fries, I think I will think twice about this place. :( read more

Lets just say receiving frozen shrimp wasnt the worst thing that happened there that night...but back to this location. The service was...okay, very slow but otherwise alright. The food...horrible. I actually had never had the onion appetizer so I ordered it. I've heard people rave about this thing...but my god, thinking about it actually makes my stomach sick. The oil it was fried in HAD to be circa 1962 and there was so much salt my tongue went dry. It was one of the most disgusting things I've ever had. My boyfriends dinner was steak and it too was covered in salt. I'm not anti-salt or anything, but theres a point when it becomes unedible--and everything served to us way past that point. It was also a terrible cut and super oily for some reason. Do your stomach a favor and hit up the diner on the other side of the freeway for a steak dinner. You wont get a bloomin onion or the yummy bread...but you also wont injure your insides. I like their bread, thats the only reason for 2 stars. read more

I feel like if you need to read a review about this place to decide whether or not to come here then your life is probably a mess and you need help with a lot more than just deciding where to go for dinner. But I write reviews about almost everywhere I go and some poor misled relative gave me a gift card to this soul-sucking pit of mediocrity, so what the hell I guess. Great waiter but: My potato soup was actually cold. My sons steak was way over done for asking for medium. My husbands steak was super rare and he asked for medium-rare My other son asked for grilled chicken strips and he got breaded and burned chicken strips. Gotta say - I eat at outback on stephanie in Henderson, nV and on Las Vegas blvd in Las Vegas approx 4-5 times per month and have never had a unsatisfactory meal, however,this location was more than unsatisfactory. My filet was well done when I ordered medium and lacking of unflavored , my daughters prime rib was tasteless. We had to ask for a second round of wine, although glasses were empty. Manager standing nearby and inattentive. Back/side door was opened and for no apparent reason when it was less than 45 degrees outside. Granddaughters root beers were served when you could see through the sodas and took 15 minutes to replace. Horrible experience. Very disappointed. read more

I made a reservation for 530. Guy at the host stand said it would be another for 20 minutes or so to get a table. I said for a reservation? Pretty much every restaurant ever been to blocks the table for a certain part of time, apparently not this restaurant. So all these people were coming in that did not have reservations and they were getting seated before us. It was about 20 minutes before we had a waiter come to us, we ordered a blooming onion and he claimed another server took it so another 25 minutes later we got another one. Then 40 minutes after that we finally got our food. But he couldn't get anything right, we had to keep asking for things that were supposed to be included with our meal. We have two young kids that were starving and it turned out to be just an absolute awful experience. The only reason why we went was because we got a gift card. But we will not be back read more

Amazing service! Our waitress was very friendly and very helpful. Food came out quickly as my steak was the perfect medium rare. Although, when we first got there they ran out of menus and we didn't get silverware with our salad. Overall though, it was a good experience and I would come again. The two stars is for the toughness of the steak, but I guess you get what you pay for (although, in our case, we didn't). We live close by this Outback and had been several times over the years and each time, we say never again. For the money, we can find better. But got an e-mail with their Wing-it special and they have that 4-course $15 special going on, so we thought, let's give it a try. Not their fault but the soup of the day was potato soup. Yawn. Honey was expecting a chicken noodle, as pictured in the ad. Salad was very good; could've used more dressing. I'm not a fan of wheat or brown bread, but their bread is awesome. The NY sirloin, however, was not. So very tough, I had a hard time cutting it. So we asked for a box to take it home to our four-legged boy. Waitress (who was very good and very attentive) asked if something was wrong with the steak - she noticed we hardly ate from them, so we told her how tough they were. She shared that with Matt, the MOD, who came over and apologized. I showed him how their steak knives couldn't barely cut through it - he offered to get us another cut from the kitchen - a better grade steak. We thanked him but no thanks. We waited for our deserts - cheesecake came out on filthy plates. That was totally it for us - got Matt to show him the plates and asked him to box up the cheesecake; we'd take them home. The waitress brought my credit card back - when I asked where the slip was to sign, she said, oh, no worries - Matt comped the dinner since we didn't enjoy it. We insisted they give us the check - we did enjoy the salads & the bread - that was not our intent. But, no, they wouldn't let us pay So I wish we could rate separately for food and service. The star of the meal sucked, but kudos to them trying to make it right. Based on just that, we'll be back to give them another try. Some day. read more

Went here for lunch w/ my two brothers and dad. I dine out at least 3 times/ week. Our service here though, was very sub-par. The waitress forgot things, and it took for-ever for food to come. We probably sat down for 90 + mins to have a lunch meal. Need less to say I won't be coming back, the food was - however quite tasty. Waitress appeared to bc very clearly high on some kind of drugs. Knocked things off our table and was so frantic it caused all of us anxiety. She was very nice but got way too in people's personal space and was definitely high on something serious. Food was ok, steak came out still completely raw when I asked for medium. The service was passable, the place is clean and quiet enough. I wonder why every table needs a tablet taking up so much space? They add no value. But the real problem is their weak steak game. I ordered a $23 ribeye steak, and they brought out a piece of steak so thin it would have had a hard time passing for a McDonald's burger patty. I had them replace it with an $8 crab cake (the stake was so underwhelming, I lost my appetite), which was also barely edible. If you want to pay steakhouse prices for fast food quality, this Outback will meet your needs well. If you want to go to a real restaurant, there are plenty of other options in the area. read more

For my 30th birthday, I took my wife, baby and good friend to Outback. It's always been a fun place to go and I've had several good experiences over the years. However, this wasn't one of them. All of our meals were very 'average' and my steak wasn't well done as I had asked. I started feeling sick before we left and promptly threw up once I got home. Not the kind of birthday I had in mind. In positive news, the server was very friendly and accomodating to our situation with a small baby and we all liked her. Also, I spoke with the owner Christian and he's sending me a gift card to make it up for me. He was very friendly and apologetic over the phone. It must be a sign. Whenever my ex and I try to get to Jak's Grill to check it out, we always end up at Outback instead. This location doesn't have the full menu, so you can't get items like French Onion soup. A bummer, as I have a standard Outback routine and it goes like this: Iced tea. French Onion soup. Rib-eye, medium rare, with steamed veggies. And sometimes dessert. Instead, at this location, I end up with the potato soup (which, as one young host commented once, "...sounds gross, but really isn't." We didn't see him this weekend, so perhaps his honesty cost him his job...anyway). The rib-eye steaks aren't always as good as they could be, but they'll do. There's nothing really exciting, stimulating or outstanding about this location. And maybe that's why it's my fall back. My ex and I aren't destined to eat in a good steak place that neither of us has been to before. We will always end up with the safe and dull: Outback in Bellevue. read more

When my son asked to try the Outback Steakhouse for his birthday I happily agreed. I had been there oh ...15 or so years ago and had fond memories of the chain's heyday. I was actually looking forward to trying it again. This location is in a run-down strip mall, but hey! Sometimes you find a gem, right? When we got there tonight we were seated right away by a friendly hostess. It wasn't busy and our server came pretty quickly. She took our drink order and brought our beverages promptly. So far, so good. We proceeded to order the coconut shrimp and place our dinner order. Then we waited...and we waited some more. When the appetizer arrived the server apologized that there were only 6 shrimp instead of the 10 she had said we would receive. Ok. Not a super big deal. Apparently the amount of shrimp you actually get varies from location to location, according to her and she was new at this location. We ate the shrimp and enjoyed them. They were cooked perfectly and the flavor was good. I would order these again. I won't describe in detail the amount of time it took between when the appetizer was served and when our dinner actually arrived. I will just say that our kids had gotten to the point of fighting over who had more coasters to build a coaster tower with. I am a very patient person, but even I was getting antsy.... and I am a mother of 3! When our dinner finally arrived, it looked good. Again, I was hopeful. Then I tried a fry. It was like when you take home extra fries after going out to eat and then trying to reheat them in the oven the next day. Why, you may ask, would one do this? Because one has kids who like to bring home their leftover fries. But I digress.... Bottom line: My bloomin' onion burger was ok. Not great, but palatable. The fries were soggy and not worth trying to eat out of politeness. On the up side, my two youngest enjoyed their mac and cheese. Since it was my son's birthday, the server (who tried to be very nice and helpful) brought him a sundae. This means a huge scoop of ice cream with chocolate syrup and canned whipped cream. I have to say that after even touching it with the spoon, I was surprised that it had passed though quality control! When it arrived the ice cream was filled with ice crystals and was grainy. Like months old ice cream that has been melted and re-frozen several times. You know it's bad when you get free ice cream and you end up leaving with it still sitting on the table.....three children left it sitting on the table after the first bite.....yikes! Needless to say we were all disappointed. It took WAY too long, especially with the amount of servers and the lack of customers, and the food was not up to snuff. I really hope that the management is able to turn this place around with quality food, quicker food turn around and atmosphere. On the up side, my son now knows what this place is all about. My previous review of this particular Outback Steakhouse described a legendarily bad experience we had with our waiter, the food, and the manager. We vowed to never return. However, we were invited to a "business" dinner here, so it turns out we gave it another try. A polar opposite experience this time around. The service was excellent. Based on our hosts advice, I ordered a caesar salad, a fillet with broccoli on the side. All were excellent. The steak was delicious, as was the seasoned broccoli. Our company was delightful, so what more could I possibly ask. The one downside: I left rather hungry. The steak should come with more than one side. read more
