Absolutely worst service I have ever had. We had a small party and we called ahead of time to reserve our table and explained we were paying four different ways. From the time we ordered to the time the food hit our table it was over one hour. Everyone's food and plates were cold. The manager seemed not to care and only offered a small discount. Then when the bill came the manager refused to split the check between the four of us that were paying. Absolutely worst service and experience I have had. We were craving the Original (old) Outback Sangria. I could literally taste it before we got there. They changed it, it's not even close to the way it was years ago. We sat at the bar. The bartender was honestly a tool, he didn't even try to converse with us and had a slight attitude when we did ask questions. My family decided to go to Outback to celebrate my grandmother's birthday. The service here was unmatched ! My aunt is a "little" obsessed with the brown bread from here, and Rob made sure we had more than enough of it !! After we ordered, we received our food in a timely manner, and were overall pleased with our meals. We did have one hiccup, but Ray and Rob both addressed it and took care of the issue. Throughout the dinner service, we were met with kindness and jokes from all of the staff, which was well received. We already love Outback, and this experience guaranteed another visit. I was looking forward to a nice family dinner here on New Years Eve. I put a reservation in for 5:45. We checked in at 5:41 and were told we would receive a text when our table was ready. After an hour of watching other people get seated who arrived after us, I politely asked why this was happening. There were a few other customers asking the hostesses why this was happening to them and we all got told that we needed to "back off" and "calm down." Meanwhile, we all had smiles on our faces and we were all being very polite. This location was obviously very overwhelmed. Unfortunately, my family and I did not get to enjoy our dinner here. We ended up finding a table elsewhere with much better customer service. I understand that they were backed up and short staffed but I wish they could have communicated that with us. read more

I haven't been to Outback for about a decade because I had multiple bad dinners. Today I was meeting someone for lunch who wanted steak. We were somewhat locationally limited because of a bridal shower happening at the 'other' steakhouse. I requested an end cut of prime rib. The waitress said that she wasn't sure if prime rib was ready yet (it was only 1:00). She asked if I would be okay with a ribeye if prime rib was not ready and I said that would be fine. The waitress came out with my meal and said I "lucked out" and was given a prime rib end cut. As soon as I saw it I noticed the meat looked gray, not red. I thought that maybe it was just because it was an end cut, which I haven't had in quite awhile. When I started cutting through it it seemed tougher than I expected. The waitress came over about two minutes after serving me and asked "how are things tasting so far". I replied in a slightly sarcastic tone "so far so good", given that I had not tasted anything except some mashed potatoes that should have been warmer. I took my first bite and it was pretty darn dry and pretty tough. The meat was not looking juicy red, not juicy at all. But, I was there for a conversation and not so much for the food. So I ate just a little bit of it and just gave up on the meat. In hindsight I should have realized that if the prime rib was "new", which it should have been because I was either going to be handed a ribeye or the 'just ready to be served' fresh batch. Now I realize I was very likely given the very last of the previous batch of prime rib. It's been about 4 hours since I ate the little bit that I did and my stomach is jumpy. I don't think it's just coincidental but I hope I'm wrong. I will never, ever eat at another Outback again in my life. This OB location has been going downhill for some time. Last Thursday it not only reached the bottom of that hill but started digging. We waited 30 minutes for our salads to arrive. When our meals arrived the babyback ribs were cold and dried out and the chicken in my ceasar salad was as well. My wife also received the wrong potato order. I rarely write such critical reviews. Yesterday was Mother's Day, 5/10/2020. The local Outback Steak House in Clifton Park, NY was accepting take out orders online. We put our order in at 9:30 am on Sunday morning for pickup at 5:40 pm. When we arrived at the parking lot at 5:30 pm, we were told that they were over whelmed with orders and they were running approximately 1.5 hours behind. We went home and came back after 1.5 hours, still no food. ( The whole operation was very disorganized. It seems that they continued to take & take orders, with no concept of being able to fill the orders or limit to the number of orders. The servers were bringing out some food but did not know where to deliver it. ( For each online order, the individuals put in their car make and model but the servers did NOT seem to have this information)). After being 2 hours overdue, we left disappointed. We could NOT cancel our order because no one at the Outback was picking up the phone. I have always enjoy this local restaurant but was upset and disappointed. C'Mon, you can not just take orders and be 2 hours behind at the start of the shift. I understand that there was a lot of demand but it is simple, you all need to limit how many orders you take and then fill them. read more

Clifton Park is such an ideal place to eat before a movie, because almost everything imaginable is within a 2 minute drive. Seems a lot of chain places aren't concerned if you're trying to make it on time for anything. Tonight was no different. I've usually had good experiences with Outback, both this and the Wolf Rd, but this time was a let-down. We sat at the bar rather than do a 45-minute wait (a bus had just dropped off a school team). I had blackberry sangria, and companion just had his usual diet cola. I ordered the small cheese fries for a starter, and prime rib cooked as little as possible, while J ordered a strip steak. While the service was friendly enough, it was slooooooow. She finally realized after a while that I still had no cheese fries, and came back with them; they were good, about what you'd expect. Not Iron Chef material, and not bad, not burned. Just good. Likewise, the meals were good...by the time they came. One of my two sides was squash. It was actually a medley of squash, zucchini and carrots, and I asked if I could just have squash. Gotta give them credit, they obliged! A third of the plate was squash! Again, good, not great. Not much flavor. The sweet potato was good, but isnt' anything with enough butter? And the prime rib was cooked as I requested. Not super seasoned, but tender and the right temp. Again, decent food, could be better for the price, but certainly not bad. Just way too long in coming, especially when trying to make a movie. And one final note...the ladies' room was absolutely disgusting, which surprised me, because they are usually on top of that stuff. read more

We went a few weeks ago and sat at the bar. the bartender was not only short with customers she argued with the weight staff right in front of customers. The waitress actually looked at us and apologized for the bartenders rude behavior. We decided to give them another try last night. We went in for a light meal and a couple of drinks. We decided to sit at the bar again. We enjoy talking with other customers so we enjoy sitting at the bar. We each got a beer and were delivered menus. We let the bartender know we would be ordering but not for a little bit. This wasn't an issue at all. When we were ready to order we ordered the wedge and the 8oz steak with asparagus and grilled shrimp. We ordered the steak medium. They actually have pictures on the menu of what your steak will look like cooked. Perfect! Since I am not a big eater and hate wasting food we planned on sharing, again there was no issue. The wedge came out and my husband patiently waited for the bread (he loves pumpernickel). We had to ask for the bread. Just like we had to ask for another beer with the bartender standing directly in front of us. The wedge was a descent size for the price and very flavorful. When the steak arrived and my husband cut into it the steak was clearly well done. The bartender was quick to order us another one. The new steak came out fairly quick. It was larger then the first which is a nice thing to see but it had a thick bark on it the first steak did not have. The bark was extremely spicy and not asked for. It literally ruined the flavor of the steak. My husband said the baked potato was good, the asparagus lacked any flavor and was stringy. There were a total of four shrimp on the plate but they were delicious. We asked for a to go container for the potato, asparagus and well done steak (our lab was getting a treat). We were handed this small dessert container to stuff it into. At $6 a pop for domestic bottled beer and almost $30 for a steak dinner too over seasoned I can't say we will be back any time soon. Ordered a 6 oz sirloin with shrimp on the Barbie with a sweet potato side. I was impressed with this cut of sirloin because it did not seem to have any fat on it. This happened multiple times so they cant blame it on a holiday. Tell me how your poor time management is my problem? You would think as a manager you should actually manage and fixure out a solution instead of telling someone who is doing their job to quit?? I visited this Outback two nights ago since the steak and unlimited shrimp returned. Little did the kitchen staff know they were in for hell. ATMOSPHERE: This Outback is spacious with nice booths and a casual feeling. It's not too loud either. SERVICE: Tatyana was a good server and always on the ball. I give her props for bringing me 14 servings of shrimp (126 individual total). FOOD: I was pleased with the food. Warm bread is always served as a starter, and I was satisfied with the temperature of my sirloin. I asked for medium rare and got exactly that. I'd like to point out that a previous review complained about steaks not being cooked well or medium well as ordered and how that should be easy. Let me explain why that's wrong. It's actually harder to cook a steak well or medium well without overcooking it because then it becomes dry and unpalatable. The crux of the matter is this: When you order steak cook past medium it will lose all the defining qualities that piece of beef once had. Now, it's your prerogative and your custom to order a steak well done, but you're wasting your money and might as well get the cheapest cut of beef available...or not eat at a steakhouse. VALUE: Typically, I don't eat at Outback because it is pricey compared to other casual dining establishments, so I only eat here if there is a coupon or really good deal. The steak and unlimited shrimp is obviously why I came this time. They also offer unlimited soup and salad lunch buffets, and on Wednesdays you can get a full rack of ribs with a salad and dessert for $20. Overall, this Outback is a nice place to eat with good service. read more

I'm really surprised that I'm giving an Outback Steakhouse 4 stars. I stopped there because it was late, I was hungry, and it was across the street from my motel. I wasn't expecting much. I had a very, very good dinner, especially for the price. The ribeye steak wasn't prime beef, but it wasn't priced like prime. And it was excellent. Extremely tender, cooked exactly correctly, and well seasoned. The bread was excellent - hot from the oven. Garlic mashed potatoes were solid too. The martinis were only $4! In all, I got a very high quality steak, garlic mashed, fresh bread, a caesar salad and a martini for $24. I was very pleasantly surprised. read more

This the the first review I have written, however could not let my experience go without sharing with my Clifton Park friends. My background is a successful business owner with through understanding of customer service. Normally eat at Delmonicos's but was short on time so off to Outback at 9pm. Place was empty, few people at bar and 4 tables full. Sat at bar, ordered a drink and chicken dish. Took a while for the unmotivated male bartender to take the order, zero personality. Thirty minutes in I asked the bartender how my food was coming. He looked bothered by my question. He returned after going to the kitchen and said it would be up shortly. Ten minutes later and no food I asked for the manager. A female claiming to be in charge came over and said it shouldn't be much longer. (No management skills). Approx. 5 minutes later the bartender came over with a piece of burnt chicken on a plate, said they burnt my order. He said they were remaking my order. One hour later bartender walks over and sets a to go order on the chair and walks away. He says no charge, as if that was any part of my issue. I told him I was not happy and he told me to leave and that he would hold the door open for me. In my 55 years on earth I have never been so disrespected at a restaurant. In closing, this my third attempt to enjoy this restaurant, always has issues. Wife and I eat at Outbacks across the country and love them. This location was actually a lot more modern than others I've gone to. They have call ahead seating which is nice because they usually have a long wait so instead of waiting 45 mins you only have to wait like 15 mins. The food is just as bad as all the other locations though. I'm don't like steak so there are only a couple things on the menu I can eat. The main reason I even go is for the bloomin' onion. This time I figured I would try one of their burgers. It wasn't bad and they actually cooked it correctly but it wasn't very big and their fries are always terrible; very salty and taste like they just sit under a heat lamp all night. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed my experience at the Clifton Park Outback Steakhouse. I hadn't been to an Outback location in years and decided to try this place since it was close to my hotel. Our server was extremely pleasant and easy to talk with and our meals were perfect. I ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs with fries and my wife got a grilled chicken breast with veggies. The service was quick and meals perfectly prepared and portioned. The only issue is the price....outback needs to cool it with the $15/plate average before drinks/gratuity for LUNCH.
