on May 1, 2021, me and wife went for dinner at the Outback, shortly after our arrival after having ordered our aperitifs and meals, my wife became unwell and lost consciousness. the manager of the place arrived immediately and called 911 and gave the first orders with an outstanding professionalist. luckily, everything turned out well for us. and in plys, he didn't want us to pay for our drinks and meals. we often go to Outbacks, we are never disappointed. Never again! Every time we go there they're out of products, I mean it was only 2:00pm to be out of a Blooming onion?? The food was mediocre. The blooming chicken sandwich was horrible. Horrible experience. Waited over 1 hour 15 mins. for our entrees to come out and they were cold. One small silver lining was that the blooming onion was good and they comped our blooming onion and drinks. My parents refuse to dine here too as they've experienced the same poor service. read more

A surprising and great early dinner! The ribeye was prepared with the right amount of seasoning and grilled to perfection! The only thing that fell short was their mixed drinks, which were watered down to nothing resembling the flavors and alcohol they were advertised to contain. Oh well. This may be what you get from a restaurant chain. But, don't let the drinks keep you away. Try the ribeye! read more

This will be my absolute LAST visit at the Outback Steakhouse of Clifton Park. First off, I used the call ahead seating which then I proceeded to reserved a table for 7:30 and ended up waiting 40 minutes in my vehicle. I watched countless parties walk out and we still had not received a text message that our table was ready and we could be seated. I ended up having to get out of my vehicle to ask how much longer I was going to have to wait before being seated and explained how multiple parties came out of the facility and a party that arrived after mine was allowed in before us. One of my party members asked to use the restroom when we arrived and walked by the table we were seated at which had NOBODY sitting at it the entire time we waited in our vehicle. We finally were seated with a good waitress who refilled our drinks, brought condiments to our table, had good mannerisms, and she would check in here and there. We all ordered filets and got the Blooming Onion as an appetizer. The Blooming Onion came out burnt and was un enjoyable to eat. Some of my party got salads and to be frank, that was probably the best thing we ate the entire night. Our main course came out and we were shocked and absolutely disgusted when a filet we ordered was blue. It was taken off the bill while the manager and our waitress disregarded apologizing about the filet. It took them about 12 minutes to get the new filet out where it looked the best out of every other "filet" on the table. We quickly realized when we were first handed our meals that our so called filets were SIRLOINS which is a total different cut from a filet. The manager proceeded to tell us it was a filet and he absolutely knew it was so we shook our heads and acted as if we were agreeing. We also had to ask multiple times to get an order of fries which we threw in the box of raw "filet" to take home because at that point we just wanted to head home. After this experience at Outback Steakhouse of Clifton Park, I 100% do not recommended dining here and please take yourselves elsewhere to get a decent cut of meat read more

I don't care how you feel about a chain restaurant, Outback makes a good steak. For a daily caloric intake busting meal, for not a lot of money and zero, well, cheezy, atmosphere this Outback is a solid choice. Complimentary sweet brown bread with soft whipped butter...go ahead have two...you can have more. We had a bloomin' onion and it was delicous in all it's fried, sweet glory. We each had the outback special. For $10.95 a tender sirloin and two generous sides are coming your way. Our steaks were prepared to specifications. His was medium rare and mine was medium well. They got it right! The baked sweet potato is always hot and fresh out of the oven smothered in brown sugar and butter. The vegetables are NOT frozen. Yes, my friends, they serve a generous portion of real, fresh steamed vegetables! Outback nails the standard chain business. The food is consistant, the service is good. I've been to the Outback in several states and in several cities around NY and I've never had a complaint at any of them. This Clifton Park location had fast, friendly service and the restaurant was clean. We both enjoyed our meals and we will be back for another affordable steak. I will start my review by saying that I used to be a huge Outback fan. I literally would eat at this restaurant on an average of 2 x a week. I remember the good old days when you could expect great service and great food. I have noticed over the last few years the quality of the meat go down and the service go way down. I was very disappointed today when Our Family went to Outback today for Fathers Day. My Daughter ordered the new item on the menu called "Flights" they are pieces of Filet Mignon served over little potato pancakes with sauce on top..the waitress looked a few times at the plate I noticed when serving. I quickly noticed what she was looking at, the potato pancakes were so burned that they were black! Come on! When he check came I quickly realized that we were charged for 3 things that actually came with the meal. My Husband and I have come to the conclusion that we will only go to Outback for their great appetizers and drinks. No exaggerating when I say the last 5 times we tried ordering steaks the came out cooked wrong or the quality was so bad we could not eat it. Eh. Ok, not great. Service was friendly and fair. Food tasted good. Veggies done perfectly, but the steak was way over cooked, and this is a steak house. The cup for tea had food in it still, but once we pointed that out it was remedied. The water came substantially after the appetizer, (which to their credit came very quickly )and I couldn't eat it because I was so thirsty after the first couple of bites. On the plus side, even though we didn't have sufficient time to send it back, they took it off our bill. They tried, but they need to get their act together before they can have a truly good restaurant. read more

I came her today and I want to first say that I feel bad about getting an entire order of pasta and having it for free and also I think we might've have my family said something wrong. Now on to the food, I got the steak, ribs and one side. My ribs were a little over cooked, the middle was tender and the outside was dry and hard but the crust was crunchy, my steak was a little bit over cooked which caused it to be hard and chewy, the steak season was a little off, too much pepper and my mash potatoes were okay, I tasted celery in the mash and little chunks which is good. My barbecue was a little too sweet, no tanginess to it, over all a decent effort. As far as Outback Restaurants go, this location is an absolute standout for both food and service. I go out of my way to come here, passing another Outback and countless steakhouses because it's always a 10/10. Angela is one of the best servers I have ever had the pleasure of having. I've dined at fine restaurants, chefs' tables everywhere from NYC and around the world. Angela goes above and beyond, thinking of everything, all the details, checking for an accurate order, promptly refilling drinks and remembering my requests from previous visits. The same old run of the mill Outback. The Blooming Onion was "meh" at best and the prime rib lacked flavor...even when soaked "au jus." The waitress was adequate/par, but certainly not above average. The brunette hostess was the only pleasant experience of the night! The margarita was nice also, but lacked a bit of salt. The wait time. Don't bother putting your name on the call ahead list. It's going to be 20-30 minutes no matter what. We placed ourselves online for a "spot on their call ahead list" (because the website specifically says this is not to be put on the waiting list) for 6:15, we showed up at 6:10, annnnnnd were seated at 6:45, even with two empty booths open the whole time. Dinner for myself: a blooming onion, 12oz prime rib, wedge salad (which was actually REALLY good), and margarita was $45. I've come to this location multiple times and only once have I had a good experience. The problems seem to come from chef inexperience or they just don't care. It's not hard to cook a steak the way someone wants it. I'm pretty easy always ordering my steak medium well. My son is even easier because he likes it well done. My steak always comes out raw and my sons always comes out medium. I've given this location multiples times thinking I just came on bad nights but it's too many now to be considered coincidence. My wife ordered her ribeye medium well, and it comes out well done. This is our last time giving this place a chance. read more

I'm very pleased with the service we received tonight! My husband and I decided late that Outback was our destination. We arrived about an hour before close and tried to do our best not to doddle just order eat and be on our way but Conner our waiter assured us that we had plenty of time to enjoy our meal so we didn't feel rushed. I also ordered a glass of wine I was not familiar with, unfortunately it was definitely NOT my taste. Conner took the glass of wine back without a problem and worked with me to find something to better fit my taste. The next try was a hit and I'm just very happy with how completely comfortable we were there. Even another waiter stopped by our table to check on us and started conversating with my husband as we finish up our desert which was the boomerang and was absolutely fabulous to end a great meal and special night out! Went here on a Friday night expecting a wait but it wasn't too bad..15 minutes for a table. It probably wasn't too busy because it was a nice day and people were home barbecuing outside. I ordered their biggest Foster's beer on tap before we got sited and for 7.50 it was worth it. As we were waiting on my wife to show up we ordered a app. Their Augie fries, (basically cheese fries with bacon on them) also a hit in my book, plus my wife loves them so I figured they would be waiting for her when she arrived, which they were. For our entree we all ordered their 3 course meal which consist of a house salad, their 6 ounce strip with baked potato and for dessert 2 apple beignets with ice cream. All of that for 11.99, well worth the price, and it doesn't leave you starving because it is just the right amount of food. The salads were good, they are more like a chopped salad. I love their "house" dressing, pair that with their famous honey bread delicious. I wish they sold it in the bottle, but they don't. The entree was good, my father and mine steak was cooked perfect, but my wife's wasn't. I alerted the manager and he quickly fixed her steak, without hesitation. By the time dessert came out we were all full but we managed to eat it. I only think I can said that was kind of a pain was waiting for dessert. It took way too long to come out and our waiter kept saying it will be right out, but it wasn't. In fact we only received 2 desserts, he said the other one will be right out. My wife said don't worry about it, she didn't want hers. The waiter should have asked her if she would like it to go because she would have opted for that, but he never asked. Outback is a hit or miss for cooking steak properly but what would you expect from a chain restaurant. It also seems like every time I dine at any of the Outback restaurants in the area it takes forever, at least 3 hours. That's a bit too long for this type of restaurant if you ask me. read more

I been to many Outback Restaurant few different states. I like that you get diff steak selection. Probably from a handful time I've went I never had bad meal but who ever Im with they had to return because their steak is not properly cooked most of them are the Med rare it must be hard to get it right? My kids couldn't eat the Mac n cheese it wasn't that great, Ribeye was good to me but I like Med and My husband Porterhouse was not cook properly and so was my son that's the one they couldn't get right. Anyways I do wish they have a better lunch selection because I would only go here for dinner but I don't know what else they can have though just saying. Clifton Park rest. is not bad, clean place, friendly but every time I come here it's not that busy. Some people doesn't know it's back here until I tell them. Just been to the Outback Steakhouse, I had a medium/well rib eye steak and the wife had ribs. It arrived and the waitress said it looked more like well done, to be fair it was, so I agreed with her but said it would be fine, then, I assume, the manager came and apologised and asked if I would like another steak, I said no it's fine and it was absolutely delicious.
