On Saturday, November 25 I went to outback as we have done many times before for dinner we were a party of four and got seated at a booth near the kitchen. The people behind us had a screaming, baby that was so loud we could even have a conversation at our table, we asked to be moved and they moved us to the other side of the dining area. after we ordered our drinks and a appetizer which barely fit on the table. When the waitress brought our meal, she knocked my cocktail over on my lap and apologized she said "oh I'm sorry maybe I can get the manager to getyou a free dessert." I did get the drink replaced but as far as a free dessert I never got that so I finished my meal as I sat with wet pants on and then we paid check and left. This dining experience was not what we expected. We have been to this restaurant numerous times, but we're hesitant about returning. read more

Let me preface this review by saying that outback is/was one of my favorite places to eat and close to my house as well. I called in an order for curbside pickup (Ribeye steak dinner, a prime rib dinner and to try something new a Kingsland steak and shrimp pasta dinner which is where the problem started). I pride myself in being able to read from a very young age, and while looking at their menu the pasta dinner clearly states that it comes with two sides except pasta. The person on the phone kept insisting that it did not an I'd have to pay extra for them. The person had a heavy accent and I tried for over ten minutes of being put on hold to point it out to them on their website where it said they came with the meal. I finally asked if I was speaking to the restaurant or a call center at which time I was transferred to the restaurant itself. After waiting on hold for a bit I was able to speak to someone and explain the situation. I was informed that the dinner did not come with the two sides unless I paid separately for them. I said I'm looking at your website and your menu which says it does and offered to send a screenshot of it. The girl said it might be an old menu and that she'd worked there for two years and never had that dinner come with sides. At that point I canceled the entire order and called my friend who was already outside waiting to pick up the order and explained the situation. She offered to go inside and speak to the manager and show them the evidence, but by this time I was done. Don't want someone angry about being proven wrong making your food anyway. No more Outback and no more recommending them to friends and family. Rant over. read more

I haven't been to Outback steak house in more than 10 years and when I finally decided to bring my kids for the first time, we left with disappointment with the service. Food was great. Restaurant ambiance was great. But for a restaurant that was pretty empty on a Thursday night, service was ridiculously slow . It took 15 min to finally take our order and at the end, My daughter had to wave her hands to get our waiters attention and was still ignored to get the last dessert course. Another 20 went by and I stood up and walked to the front to get someone to wait on us. I believe the manager came and ended up giving us 2 cheesecakes. We came in for a family dinner. I ordered the 22 oz sirloin steak with double servings of their aussie fries. The steak was a little too peppery for my taste and my medium rare steak was a little more on the well done than what it should have been. It was edible enough and I didn't want to complain about it. On the otherhand, they undercooked my aunt's steak. While my portion size was decent enough, the petite steak filets were dinky small. The aussie fries were okay and certainly not on par with fries from McDonald's. The place was jam packed, so we had to wait about 30 minutes before being seated. The staff was nice and attentive enough. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it didn't really stand out. If it weren't for the family function, I wouldn't make this restaurant a place that I frequent. read more

I went to Outback yesterday and had a terrible experience. The server Melissa was very rude. She stood behind me to take my order. She was rushing and very inattentive. The food came and my salad was gross and tasted like an old bag salad and was saturated in dressing. The only good part about my birthday dinner was the bread and bloomin onion. I ordered the Kingsland Steak and Shrimp pasta, with medium rare Steak, and what I got was disrespectful. I asked for the steak to be medium rare and instead got a charred, dry-ass well done steak. On top of that, my pasta came with NO sauce, it was just dry pasta with cut pieces of steak and sorry, sad-ass looking shrimp plastered on the side of it. When I asked for sauce they brought me a bowl of alfredo sauce with the consistency of water. My mom on the other hand ordered the Tri-tip sandwich. Both the meat in the sandwich, and her fries were over cooked, and she too was disappointed with the order. Also, why are they always out of clam chowder? The quality of this restaurant has gone down over the years and I don't plan on coming back, and will tell others to avoid this place too. The food here is quality and delicious and the the staff is very helpful. In my latest dealings with Outback, I ordered two meals to go through DoorDash on Christmas Eve. Being that it was Xmas Eve, DoorDash was late but the staff was very patient explaining the whole situation and how DoorDash worked. I've been here enough times to know if I'm craving a Blooming Onion, I really must have a deep carnal urge, an urge that is so strong I will consciously brave the lackluster servers that infest this place. Nothing new tonight... the same experiences as before: decent food, over cooked broccoli, and inattentive servers. When you pay for a meal, even if it's a chain like Outback, you expect some minimum service points: Meal suggestions. Any specials? Drink refills. Is it too much work to see if we'd like another adult beverage? Ask about the meal and if anything is needed. Process the check so you don't have to take it to a manager so you can leave. Our server tonight was pretty typical of what I've experienced in the past. For example: if a one-star rating was the attentiveness of a rock and five-stars was the attentiveness of the Most Interesting Man In The World, our server was a solid two-stars. Just above being waited on by a rock, and closer to Seinfeld's Soup Nazi; no service for you! The last time I visited, the manager gave us a $25 card for future use, but I politely declined and handed it back to him. It's a nice gesture, but I'm being upfront to solicit a colossal change in server behavior and not to "get" anything else. Happy customers, treated appropriately, will order more items and tip more. I hope I don't have any Blooming Onion cravings anytime soon! read more

Had a late lunch here today about 3:00 pm Monday, July 22, 2019. Never been here before but I'm aware of The Outback as a restaurant chain. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. I like that you can order off their lunch menu up until 4 PM. My chicken sandwich was delicious. French fries that came with it are exactly the type that I like (flavorfully blended seasonings), not just plain salted french fries like In-N-Out Burger's fries. Others with me really enjoyed their lunch as well and agreed that The Outback has really good food. Service was great also but then again, it was 3:00 PM on a Monday afternoon and we were practically the only ones in the restaurant. Our server was attentive to us. The parking lot is HUGE/spacious. I love it. Excellent! This is the type of parking every restaurant should have. PS... if you are a restaurant and you have bad parking, I will NOT come to your restaurant. If you have valet parking only, I will NOT come to your restaurant. If I have to compete for a parking spot, I will NOT come to your restaurant. If I have to park on the street, feed a parking meter or... pay to park, I will NOT come to your restaurant. In other words... you had better make it extremely convenient for me or I ain't coming to your restaurant :) Today's overall experience was great. I'm not one to write negative reviews because I know what that does to a business. But we checked in here at 6 for our party, was told it'd be a 30 min wait, turned out to be over an hour! They let another party in front of us by accident which caused the delay. They put me down for a party of 2 when I clearly said 7, a party of 8 made it in before us that came in 10 min later than us somehow. By now we have very fussy and cranky kids. What was supposed to be an evening out with the family turned out to be a very uncomfortable, quiet outing. It's very unfortunate how mismanagement in this area can really ruin an outing. We decided to have dinner here tonight since we wanted to introduce a member of our family to this restaurant. The food was good, but the service was not to my satisfaction. We walked in at 8:15pm which was close to closing time at 9pm. I came with a party of 5, we were taken to a table, and waited over 10 min to have a server greet our table. I had to ask someone passing by to call our server. We finally had someone come over. To be considerate of closing time we decided to order drinks and food all at once. As we were still eating, cleaning started happening around us. Chairs were placed on tables all around us, the floor was wet because they started mopping, and servers disappeared. I had to literally get up from my table and call out by the bar and the kitchen when we were ready to leave to get a bag for our leftovers. UNACCEPTABLE!! Who wants to be literally kicked out and dismissed after spending over $200 on meals? I make it a point to spend my hard earned money on a place where I am going to receive acceptable customer service. My first time guest wasn't pleased nor impressed with the kind of service we received. If you can't handle a party of 5 , forty five minutes before you close, then don't take that party in. Very disappointed tonight! Some customer service refresher courses may be necessary and word of advice, MANAGEMENT, please make yourself present and visible. I have nothing but good to say about our experience at Outback today. The food was wonderful and Matt, our server, was excellent. He was on top of things during our entire stay. We wanted for nothing and never had to look for him when we needed him. He was always available. The food was really good, even the leftovers hours later at home.
