I hate to do this as I used to work here. I don't know what happened to this place. The past few times I have ordered, it has been terrible, along with their customer service. Tonight I ordered food for takeout on DoorDash. My chicken wings were completely burnt. They were black. I did try to eat them at one point, but they were so hard you couldn't bite them. I also requested ranch but got bleu cheese in there, we have somebody who is allergic to blue cheese so that is not what I requested. I'm not sure what happened to the location, it is just terrible. Ok, so, I want to be as nice as I can. But I was totally disappointed. The hostess was the best part. Very nice, we got seated right away. Our server came off as arrogant and not caring. We seemed to be a bother. We had ordered drinks when she came with the menus. And I guess that slipped her mind. So we reordered the drinks, along with our food. Very disappointed in this Outback location. I have been to several Outback's across Michigan and have always been very pleased with the consistent food quality from location to location. Today was a disappointment, I ordered the Alice's Chicken and my friend had chicken and shrimp on the Barbie. My Alice's chicken was so over done on top that the cheese was almost completely burned off and the bacon was also burned and the chicken dry as a bone. I came to this location after the horrible experience I had with the Roseville restaurant. And honestly the 20 minute drive was well worth it. I was immediately greeting with a smile by the hostess. She sat me down at the booths seats by the bar area. Within 10 seconds of being seated Bryan (the bartender) came over with the most infectious positive energy. He got us our drinks in a timely fashion. (They were strong)) He got us WARM fresh bread, gave us ample time to make a decision on our lunch and made sure to check in on us regularly. I am not a fan of mushrooms and unbeknownst to me my quesadilla had mushrooms in it. Once my partner made a comment that i had been eating mushrooms I immediately spit out the food. Being as though I had such a horrible experience at Roseville I didn't want to cause a scene. Fortunately Bryan, being the attentive waiter he is and taking pride in his job, came over and asked if anything was wrong. I kinda went back and forth with my partner because i didn't want to send the food back but Bryan continued to reassure me that it wasn't a problem for him to refire the quesadilla. OK, my wife and I went to outback on 14 mile in Madison Hts for our 46th wedding anniversary. This was also father's day. We did the call ahead seating and when we got there were seated in 10 minutes. Not a bad start. Well, let;s make this short and sweet. A waiter took our order moments after we were seated, I was feeling really good about this! Oh, I forgot to mention 21 days earlier I had total knee replacement, so I am only good for about an hour after that it is really hard for me to be seated in 1 place. Well after a few minutes my salad arrives, GREAT! This will be awesome. That is where the the good ends. After my salad, it was close to an HOUR before I got my meal! a 6 oz medium stake and lobester tail, my wife also ordered a small steak medium, and mac and cheese. Well it took about 5 minutes from when we were seated to get our order taken, then 10 minutes to get my salad, then an HOUR to get our meals! So we were sitting there an hour and 15 minutes just to get food! I was not doing well at this point. So I wolfed down a meal that was meant to be relaxing. We even told the waiter we had been waiting too long and would not be able to wait even longer to cash out so we cashed out before we got our food. I was about 1 minute from telling them to refund my CC and leaving without our meal. But the food came, so we went ahead and ate it in a hurry so we could just get out of there. I contacted corp headquarters, and it has been days and they have not replied or even acknowledged my email to them so they clearly don't give a crap. I MAY go back there to eat again, but if I do, (BIG IF), I will be the most demanding customer they have ever seen, and I will have a timer to clock ticket time, and will make it WELL KNOWN to them what I expect. The food, once it finally arrived, was good, but I would have had a MUCH better dining expedrience at burger king than I had there. Will have to think long and hard if I ever want to go there again. Absolutely worst place Ive been. Ruined all outback locations for me because I fear they will be like this one. It was almost comical how horrible the service was. We waited a ridiculous amount of time for our food and the manager (I'm assuming) came and asked how we were doing, after we told him we were waiting over an hour for our food he went to check on it and we had to reorder because it was not even put in. When it finally came out my medium steak was rare and my girlfriend's rare steak was blue. The meal went alright but I had to ask 3 separate people if I could have a refill on my drink. The photos are from us waiting for the bill and drink refill which took about another hour for anyone to come out of the kitchen, I even had to ask the hostess if someone could give us our bill! Seriously should have just walked out because they totally forgot we even existed and I don't even think they gave us a waitress. Serena and I had drinks, a BIG appetizer (blooming onion, cheese and bacon fries, and cheese balls). Our meal (nicely seasoned steak, caesar salad; with mac & cheese and loaded baked potato. While I have never understood the appeal of Outback, this is probably the best location I have found (my friends and family like it, so I am there somewhat regularly). The staff is nice and helpful, and the food is consistant in its quality. I think they use their seasoning a bit heavy, but that's an Outback thing, and part of what those who like it come for. I get that. I would think a place that is always crowded like this could take steps to accommodate those waiting. Waiting outside is fine in the summer, but in winter. However the customer service is top notch. If you must eat at Outback, this is a good one. Note, that while not my favorite, I do always find something I like well enough. read more

The four of us were in the mood for a good steak. We had been to this Outback location two years ago and had a great experience then so we wanted to return. We were greeted promptly by a friendly hostess and seated right away. Our fantastic server, Summer, arrived at our table quickly. Besides the excellent food, she made our time there very enjoyable. She was just-right attentive. We ordered an appetizer and drinks and everything arrived quickly and just as we ordered. Summer paced our meals to arrive perfectly, allowing us time to eat the appetizer and have some fun conversation. All four of our steaks were perfectly cooked. Every part of each of our meals was just right. This was a birthday celebration dinner and it could not have gone more smooth or more tasty! The manager stopped by to check on us and was so friendly. We LOVE going to Outback, and we usually go to this location. The past few times, maybe 3 times- it has been bad, especially the costumer service. I called and made reservations 4 hours prior to when I wanted to come in. It was time for us to go, so we went in and our table STILL wasn't ready. They said "You can wait in your car for about 10-15 minutes and we will text you when your booth is ready." I agreed and said okay. 15 minutes went by in the car. I decided to wait another 10 minutes. Still- no text. I went inside, they said "Sorry, about 5 more minutes." 5 minutes went by and they finally sat us. The staff has been a little bad too- not friendly, takes 20+ minutes to get napkins, or extra plates, or a side of ranch, etc. It also seems as if the chef has changed, too. read more

I called to complain and just get my money back for them and I was told by the manager that he didn't know how to do a refund & I'd get a call back the next day by someone else. Never got my call. We went there last night to celebrate our daughter's birthday. She had a choice of any restaurant she wanted and she wanted this Outback location. It did not disappoint. Our waitress Sierra was very attentive without being overbearing. The restaurant was very busy and had several large groups, but we were seated immediately. Sierra came by shortly after and took our drink and appetizer order. Of course we wanted the Blooming Onion and it was great. Our drinks were perfect and we loved having them served in mason jars! They were even attractive to look at. A warm loaf of bread was also brought to our table. My daughter and I ordered the Bernaise Crab Topped Victoria filet. This came with two sides and we both chose the Steakhouse Mac & Cheese and steamed broccoli (that was huge). Both our steaks were perfectly cooked and everything was delicious. My husband had the center cut sirloin with grilled shrimp and it was excellent. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. The menu items are a bit pricey but well worth it. Everyone was very friendly and it was nice to see this location so full of happy people. We definitely plan on returning. read more

I just had the best lunch at The Outback. Michelle P., the server, is the best. Seriously. I ordered my lunch and told her she doesn't have to rush anything. I have all the time and am not in a rush. She brought out my Tortilla Soup. Hot and quite delicious. Fresh lime wedge with it. She followed up with a Caesar salad. She brought it about two minutes after I was finished with my soup. The Caesar salad was fresh, crispy, and green. Not one brown spot on the romaine. That's impressive if you eat a lot of Caesar salads as I do. Lol. I enjoyed some sips of my Cabernet Sauvignon after finishing my caesar salad. She brought my Bone-in Ribeye(I ordered off the dinner menu), a 4oz Lobster Tail, and Mac&Cheese. I'm not kidding. I called in a lunch order today (couldn't figure website out) My order was taken promptly & correctly by a very nice employee & about 20 minutes later my Bloomin burger & salad (instead of fries) was brought to my car door again by a polite & very nice Outback employee. The burger was cooked perfectly,my extra sauce on the side wasn't forgotten. The salad was huge, blue cheese dressing perfect & they even included the bread loaf & butter your usually served at the table.
