I'm pleasantly surprised. I generally try to avoid national chains, but when my favorite relative suggested Outback of course I said yes. (We all have that person that we never say no to!) We arrived early for lunch, just after 11am, and were promptly seated. Our server, Miss Luna, greeted us with waters and was just too sweet. She was present and easily available, but never made us feel rushed as we caught up and dragged out our meal. We both ordered from the lunch menu- for me, a 6 Oz center cut sirloin medium rare ($15); for my dining partner, a quesadilla (i think it was called Alice chicken quesadilla?) ($12); we got French fries with both. As I don't have much confidence in chains anymore, I was expecting the cook to be overdone and the meat to be tough, but I was surprised because it was neither. It was perfect, melt-in-your-mouth steak. There was no steak sauce on the table but that wasn't even an issue as the seasonings were so good. I tried a bit of the quesadilla and that eas great too! It came with honey mustard instead of salsa, which was kind of weird, but it just wasn't used. The chicken had a sort of smokiness to it that I'm not sure how i could re-create (personal hobby is re-creating recipes I enjoy just to see if I can). Restaurant wasn't too loud, and the bathroom was clean. Also, if relevant to you, there was complimentary bread brought out before the meal. Took my son to outback for lunch to celebrate high school graduation Saturday May 30th. Chef must have been having a bad day cuz the medium rare 8oz steak was almost impossible to cut! At first, didn't know if it was a dull knife, but when we exchange the knife, the meat was still too hard to cut. Son put some muscle into it, plate almost slipped off the damn table! The waitress (also having a bad day) offered to send back both my daughter and my son's piece of meats back, but they said that once the meat was cut, the flavor was good and for fear of somebody getting offended and messing with their food, they were afraid to send it back. Arrived waited 10 minutes for server to approach us, after taking our order waited like 10 more for drinks, 15 minutes later got our kids good and after 20 minutes of not being checked on, plates not being picked up or even an update decided to leave. We didn't get our food and we have to call after our waiter because she was basically serving the whole place, obviously not her fault but extremely frustrating. At least let us know the food is taking longer or check on our table. After almost an hour and a half we left without eating but at least the kids got their meal. read more

My experience today at the new Outback was amazing. The service was unbelievably amazing and the food was even better. When I walked in I was immediately seated, and shortly after a waitress came to our table to take our order. I ordered a Filet Mignon with a side of Mac & Cheese and Caesar Salad. The Caesar salad came first, amazing flavor, may be the best Caesar salad I've had in a restaurant before. After that, I got my Filet Mignon. Perfectly seasoned and cooked at medium temperature, just how I like it. The Mac and cheese was great as well, very cheesy and very flavorful. I had also ordered a lobster tail that arrived lastly but the waitress forgot to pick it up. Haven't had lobster that often before but felt like trying it again. I was surprised on how good the lobster was that I will most definitely order it again the next time I come here. Overall, this place is definitely better than the other place that used to be located a mile away from here at Flagler Park Plaza. (It closed down due to this location opening) The service is definitely better, better ambiance, and most definitely better food. For the people that haven't tried Outback yet and are planning to, I really can't recommend this location enough. read more

I've been going to Outback steak for a really long time, but I won't be going back after the experience I had tonight. Plus, read the poor reviews, cause they are accurate. I called ahead and actually made a reservation which I don't normally do, for the new Flagler location because I had never been to this location and wanted to have a nice night with my family. It was a small celebration of sorts and it was the worst experience I have had in a long time. Despite the restaurant being mostly empty when we got there at around 7:20 pm, for some reason, they put us in the far back room. There were some tables of people so I was cool. I noticed that all of the tables had children and I started to wonder why with a mostly empty restaurant were the tables with kids in the back room off to the side? When I asked about this later on in the night, the manager actually said it was the party room but he called it, "The VIP room" because it was quiet. I didn't ask for quiet. I made a reservation to get a good table and I didn't want to sit in a party room. But because there were other tables of people with kids I let it go. But as the tables emptied and the room never got filled with anyone else, most of the meal was us siting alone, chasing down our waitress for something because there were no other tables in that room that she was covering and we were all alone. I always liked Outback. The location on South Beach when it was open was like a second home. I went there all the time, could sit alone at the bar if I wanted, and it was clean, bustling and run by a passionate woman owner. In this location nothing went right. The room was empty, the soup came out tepid. The $32 lobster and steak was ridiculously small and horribly presented. A filet mignon that was less than 1" thick looked much more like sirloin to me (I am sure it was NOT filet). We sent back the soup and the surf & turf because it was so bad and they made us a new one. But that of course meant two of us ate while the third waited for his new dish, and then two of us waited while the third, ate. I hate when this happens. Get it right the first time, guys. Don't make me keep sending food back to the kitchen twice and this just completely ruined our meal and dining experience. (We got a new soup, new lobster and steak, free brownie and a coupon card for a Blooming Onion). Upon leaving, we passed thru the main room which by that time (9pm when our meal started at 7:30 because of all the waiting) it had become a bustling environment and where we should have been sat all along. That's the Outback experience I wanted, I have known for years and I expected. Here's the bottom line: Restaurants don't always get ir right and sometimes they have a bad night. I get that. But in this case all I kept asking to myself was, "If you don't like kids and you decide to put them in the back, don't be in the restaurant business.". "If you serve a 1" steak and call it Filet Mignon, then you obviously can't get steak right, and you are either ripping off your customers, the chef should be fired or you should NOT be in the steak business". And "how could a chain restaurant serve cold soup? The owners should be there. The manager should not have told us that the kids section was the VIP section because it was NOT. The chef should be replaced, and they deserve this really horrible review on YELP!" Needless to say this was the worst Outback experience and maybe the worst chain restaurant experience I've ever had. There are plenty of better restaurants with better food at better prices. Note: I did give the waitress a big tip cause I felt bad, and the manager did try to fix things. But overall this experience was a zero star experience. ZERO. They ruined my night which was supposed to be celebratory. If you are looking for alternatives, I suggest it. Go to PF CHANG, OLIVE GARDEN, ANOTHER OUTBACK, EXPLORE SOME OF THE GREAT PLACES MIAMI HAS TO OFFER, OR ANYWHERE BUT HERE, especially if you are going with a child. Because if you end up at this Outback, you might end up eating tepid and mediocre food in an empty kids section OUT in the BACK. Keep your free Blooming Onion coupon card. If i wasn't out here for business & Outback wasn't a name I'm familiar with I'd never order from this particular location. I've been to maybe 60 outback locations in 14 different states & this by far is the worst. They're too good to bring the orders out, you have to call and the store, and get transferred to take away. And even then you'll still have to wait another 7 minutes. Have you ever ordered from a restaurant and the the service was so good it made you want to go back? This place is the opposite of that. You leave this outback feeling dirty, violated & taken advantage of. If you've ever had trauma in your life avoid this place because it'll trigger your emotions. The employees here hate you & they'll give you the opportunity to show you if you order from them. I ordered 2x today & they forgot the straws twice, the bread once and the sides to my entree. First time dining in at this location (often do curbside)-- food was good and the service was friendly. Love the French onion soup here. Aussie cheese fries portion is absolutely gigantic and could easily feed 4+ people. My only complaints were that the food wasn't phased. We got our fries, soup, and entrees within minutes of each other. By the time I finished the app and soup, the pasta was cold and dry and I had to take it home. The waiter kindly gave a bit of extra sauce when I asked, so I could use when reheating the dish later. Portions were great, and the new Tasmanian pasta had a nice amount of shrimp and scallops, though I'd pick the Queensland shrimp pasta over this (wish it came with a shrimp and scallop option!) read more

We went for dinner and the ambiance was really. Our hostess sat us right away. Our server was very nice and attentive. She brought water while we looked at the menu. We ordered our drinks and appetizer- the Aussie cheese fries and they were very tasty. For my entree I ordered the barrel cut filet mignon with asparagus and a baked potato and it was delicious! Never had a worse experience eating anywhere. Don't expect the best anyway since it's Outback but at the very least some customer service. Our server, Vladimir, took our order and we never saw him again until we finally got his attention to ask for the check. Never came back to ask for refills, never cleared our tables, took an extra 20 minutes to bring us the bill as if we didn't wait enough already. I'll never go back to this location and hope no one does. Have never had such a horrible experience at a restaurant like today. We ate our entrees with our salad plates and appetizer plates still on the table. Didn't see a manager once. Server said he was "too busy" to tend to us but saw him plenty of times laughing with other servers.... Not too busy at all. Never even saw a manager walking up to tables. So much better than a few years ago! The food was very good. They have a gluten free menu! Just ask. The prices are reasonable. The ambience was nice and the bathrooms were clean. The worst experience!!! The manager and all the staff were un respectfully!!! They lauded to my family to get out of the restaurant without any education and the only reason was because we went with my service dog and fed him inside the stroller. I ordered and paid for the pecan blue cheese chopped salad. As you can see, I received a salad comprised of wilted salad and very little pecans or blue cheese. I also paid for extra garlic butter, to find the lid melted and off - with butter soaking into my mashed potato cup - not the food. I also ordered to be delivered to a hotel. Visited the new location, the Ambience is good though music is little loud but the ambience in general is good. The service was great, since you walk in, hostess is nice and our server Jose was awsome, explain all we asked however the food was ok but very seasoned. They said the cook was new, but the steak had way to much season that bother, the fries had tons of salt and zhe salad tons of dressing. I reccomend they put less and let customer decide if to put more. I will come back but will order with no season or salt at all. Dessert was very good. read more

Came in for dinner with wifey and the kids. Was about a 20 min wait which was not bad considering a Saturday Night. Was greeted by Carmelita our waiter, the sweetest waitress by far. Bummed we didn't get our bread and butter but we did start with the appetizer (loaded ausy fries) kids loved and the ranch was amazing. We ordered our entrees, got my steak medium cooked to perfection make sure to get the garlic butter topping on the steak, it's makes the meal. Ordered the blue cheese and pecan salad which was sweet, crunchy and savory so good. Got the mac and cheese was sub par a little on the dry side. But nonetheless dinner was great, the manager Vivian made the night for us and gifted us a complimentary desert. We will come back just because of the experience we had tonight. We came to have lunch at Outback because we had a few gift cards. Not really impressed with the food here today but the service was good. We hadn't been here in probably 4 years because we normally don't do chain restaurants. I had the chicken and shrimp pasta. It was very bland. I added salt and pepper to it but still didn't taste that great. My partner had a NY Strip but it was mostly fat. My little one had the Mac & cheese with French fries which she enjoyed. The side salad was good though! I don't think we'll be coming back to Outback anytime soon. read more

Outback, great steak and service, but OK everything else. I typically go to the Longhorn on 49th Street in Hialeah but today this Outback was much closer. This location was somewhat hidden within the multitude of stores in the mall and the sign was only half lit-up. This is a testament to this place feeling run down, although the inside decor seems modern, the seats and menu all seem pretty worn. I came with my parents and all had the ribeye cut which was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of the baked potato, it was rather plain and I can even go as far as saying that one from Wendy's tastes better. Also, the service was pretty good, I can't really complain there but the entire experience really felt lackluster. read more

It's been a while since we have been to outback but with the encouragement of a holiday gift card and a hankering for some quality steak we made the journey. For shame on me for forgetting how very good this place is. The streak was cooked perfectly. And seasoned with just the right amount of spice. Our server Justine treated us like old friends and with frequent check ins by Oneida the manager we were assured an excellent experience overall. Headed to Outback as saw steak & lobster advertised all over town and tv for $24.99. When we got the and after ordering watered down drinks... we were told that steak and lobster was "not available in this location". Okay so fine! We will have the ribs and a burger! The ribs tasted like old frozen ribs pulled from the freezer and cooked in a hurry. Strong old taste! The burger was cold, super thin and on a cold bun. I give this place only 1 star for it's blooming onion that was 100% good. Conclusion: This used to be one of my favorite places to eat as a child. Went on Super Bowl Sunday because I had a gift card. Upon entering the restaurant, I noticed a very strong foul odor. After mentioning it to the host, they simply brushed off the comment and walked us to our table. They must've just washed their floors because the smell permeated all the way across the restaurant to the booth. It was pretty disturbing but I stayed because I had the gift card. I would have requested outdoor seating if it was an option! Our server was really nice and gave us recommendations from the menu. I played it safe and ordered the wings, but I probably should've got something else bc the taste was pretty bland. The Blue Mon onion is obviously what they're known for so I got that as my appetizer. It was pretty quiet (as expected) on Super Bowl Sunday. Overall, I probably wouldn't return. read more
