The reason I docked a star is because of the long wait and 2 out of 2 items I ordered were incorrect. My margarita had salt and my baked potato had chives. No big deal though! The food was still delicious as well as my marg! I ordered the top shelf rita and the 6oz filet medium well. This seems to be the go to spot on Sunday night when I'm OC. Not that there is anything wrong with an Outback it's just not the type of place that we ever eat at when at home. But I suppose when on Holiday you go to places you normally overlook and do things you normally wouldn't do. We were seated no problem although like most Outback locations this one is on the smaller side and by the time we left there were waits of 30-40 minutes which is insane to me considering that it's in the offseason, but I digress. The service overall was acceptable although our server spent as much time telling us that she would be right back & apologizing for no longer having bussers to clear things as she did actually servicing our table. The food in terms of quality was not bad. The adult surf & turf was great as was the Alice Springs Chicken along with the kid's meals. But, of course there is a catch and that catch would be that you need to either have a really large wallet for apps/dessert or make sure you don't come hungry because the portion sizes are small. The kid's meal chicken fingers were fine it's just that there were only two of them. The kid's meal sirloin medallions were fine it's just that there were only three little nubby pieces. The Alice Springs Chicken tasted great but maybe the breast size tops was six ounces and most definitely forget about the menu description of crisp bacon as I think it oinked "Thank You" back at me as I brushed it off of the chicken. Back to front the whole meal took maybe seventy-five minutes and that wasn't bad considering it was a Saturday. Would we come back? Meh, decent quality stuff but we're not into the whole Kate Moss eating thing nor are we in the 39.6% tax bracket either so unless we're looking to keep it light in the future, maybe but only as a fallback to the fallback to the fallback dinner option. read more

I haven't been to an outback in years but Phillip, our server, and the kitchen may have very well changed our minds and won back our service. Phillip was hands down the most amazing server I have ever encountered in my life. From start to finish he continued to wow us with his kindness and service. He is a real gem and Outback should be so proud to have a gentleman like him working for them. I guarantee you ask any person who has had the pleasure of meeting him would surely agree! Second, the food. we ordered the steak queso for an appetizer and it was a 10/10 then perfect seasoning, the perfect quality. The price was also spot on. we ordered a few kids meals which the kids finished entirely, and two adult chicken/steak combos. I am a super picky steak eater but this steak was so tender, and cooked perfectly. Every items we ate was all amazing. The portions were large and I had enough for another meal in leftovers. Normally I get a meal somewhere and there is always something on your plate that wasnt the best but honestly Everything was done perfectly throughout this meal. And all of that for a family of 4 including sodas and liquor for only about $100 was a win win. read more

The bread is always a plus in my opinion. Dine in for two, The steak was not seasoned and very tough. I myself had a salad with steak in it...the salad was good (how can you mess that up right?) but the steak in my salad was also...not seasoned. Asked for well done, it still had pink. Coconut shrimp were awesome as usual, the rest of the meal was blah. Ordered a house salad with ranch for one of my sides. First time I was given a caeser salad. Asked for a house salad with ranch. 2nd time given a house salad with blue cheese. Asked again for a house salad with ranch. It was delivered after my meal arrived. Filet was bland, no usual Outback spice. Same with the baked potato, no salty outside. The service was very slow for a Wednesday night, time between appetizers and salad was long. Avocado and marinated crab meat topped with minced tomato basil and a drizzle of wasabi vinaigrette. Served with white corn tortilla chips. It was awesome and an being at the beach we got something with crab in it. Main course was the Niemann's Black Forest Steak house Blaine. New York Strip with a lobster tail. And two side dish. I ordered curbside bc I didn't want to eat in the restaurant. When I pulled up, there was someone standing at the door so I thought... cool! They're going in to get my order. They didn't come out so I went in even though it's called curbside not go in and pick it up. So I'm really not sure why I had to describe my car when they clearly weren't looking out for it. I stood INSIDE for about 5mins and the person at the carry out register never even turned around (guess they weren't the person who saw me pulling up). They just continued working on what I assumed was my ticket (back completely to the door) with the cash register open. Not safe at all. When I realized they probably weren't going to turn around, I interrupted them. they weren't particularly pleasant. It was an... "Oh. Someone's here." greeting and funny enough... they offered to take my order to my car. Isn't that what you were supposed to do in the first place? The order looked sad and dry. Disappointing visually but edible (mostly because I was hungry and didn't want to go back out) I'm here in OC for a conference and when I come back I will not be ordering curbside to find out if they can do better. I saw a commercial on television recently that promoted a 6 ounce steak and fries for 10 dollars, so I decided to give it a try. I mean, seriously, where can you get a steak dinner for 10 bucks? The fries were very good, and the steak was prepared exactly as I ordered it. It was juicy and tender, but it did have a small streak of gristle on it, but I still enjoyed it. We got to the restaurant about an hour and a half before closing. The website said there was not a waiting time but when we got there they actually had a 15-20 minute wait period which was a little annoying as we would have called ahead had we known. The hostess wasn't very friendly. The food was good ( but please put more than two croutons on house salad) and our server was great! I wish I could remember her name (tall, blonde). She was patient when one of my daughter's couldn't decide on what she wanted and she ensured we had refills and were taken care of. I have gone to Outback steak houses all over the U.S, and the quality has always been the same - excellent. But this one was the worst one I have ever been in. The bartender, Stephanie, was great, but the food was slow in coming, and when it finally did arrive it was over cooked. I ordered the Victoria's Filet Mignon. Called "The most tender and juicy thick cut seasoned and seared." The on-line menu says the price is 21.99, mine was 25.99. It was very thin, and if it was a filet mignon, it was the worst of the batch. I received another one that was better cooked, but it still not what I would call a filet mignon. As I was leaving I told the bartender it was not a good experience, she said she would get the manager. She was gone for several minutes and finally came back saying the manager would be right out. I waited a few more minutes and I had had enough. I'll give another Outback a try, but not this one. read more

I will no longer consider all chain restaurants to be the same...After avoiding these for many years, considering them all to have inferior food, we ventured into Carrabas and were blown away with how good it was. So, after that nice surprise, we decided to give Outback a try, and once again we were shocked at how good it turned out to be: from the welcoming host to the terrific waiter (Phillip E) to the cozy environment, and to the delicious food. I don't think I've ever encountered a more generous restaurant. Refills and additional bread were brought without request. (and what wonderful warm bread they serve- with both regular and honey butter) Phillip kept bringing us things before we even realized we needed them. We felt very appreciated and cared for as patrons. As to the food, the salad is one of the best anywhere, the steak and ribs were wonderful, the baked potatoes were perfectly cooked. But the star-the shock-of the lunch was the chili. We have searched high and low for YEARS on the East Coast for REAL chili and we finally found it at Outback! (no disgusting beans, no cheap ground beef, no watery consistency) It was off the charts great. We would go back just to get a big crock of this deliciousness!!! The reason I have not given 5 stars is because they were not quite ready to be open. Lunch on weekends is at 11:00 and we arrived at 11:15. They did not have their potato soup which I was really looking forward to. They no longer offer onion petals, and they were out of some draft beers. But these are minor issues when compared to the extremely positive experience we had. I am sure the dinner service is much more prepared, but then we just happen to be lunch kinda folks, so we will be plenty happy going back as often as we can... read more

We came in at 7:39pm on a Saturday night and the service was excellent. Kaitlin was our server and she was really attentive, bubbly, and personable. The only downfall were the ridiculous customers across from us that another poor server got. Amazing is not a word I often use for restaurant that is part of a national chain. However, for this Outback I will. The servers and bartenders here make us feel like locals. Jeff is great. He has waited on us at the bar and at tables on a couple occasions. Tonight the manager, Jerry was on top of things. We observed him handling a particularly high maintenance table with patience and class. The food is also great. This is the only place that always cooks my steak right! read more

Dined here for the 1st time with neighbors on New Years Eve. My wife and I were there 1st and sat at the bar for a couple of drinks. Bartender was very pleasant and the drinks were good. Our neighbors arrived and the 6 of us were seated. Server greeted us right away and gave us some bread and said she'd be back with more which she forgot. No big deal the place was busy. She finally took our orders which were slow coming out and they had obviously forgotten my sirloin and my wife's lobster tails. About 10 min later we were served ours. My 11oz sirloin was ordered medium but was medium rare which is ok except it was cold and tough as leather. My wife's lobster tails were cold and over cooked. If it had been the 2 of us I would have sent back both dishes but our neighbors seemed happy so we just went with the flow. Been here done that but I'll stick with Ruth's even if it is twice the price, at least the steaks will be hot and delicious and eatable. read more
