What can I add about a chain restaurant that has been around for ages? Not too much. Although there are more interesting places to dine in the area, a friend had a coupon for a free steak & wanted to dine here. It had been several years since I have had dinner at Outback & I was used to it being very crowded. For lunch today, it was practically empty. The dark restaurant during the day was a little sad looking. Considering that there were so few customers, the service was pretty weak. We had to flag our server down to take our order, for drink refills, etc. There are lunch special pairs for about $8.00 on the menu which can leave one full on the cheap if very hungry (soup or salad & a variety of dishes (burgers, quesadillas, etc. ). My son had the French Onion Soup (flavorful, not too salty), which he could barely finish & a cheeseburger (pretty big & tasty). My 10 year old had a kid's meal: big cheeseburger & fries for $4.99. We also shared some apps: wings (eh) & those over glorified onion rings: the bloomin onion. Husband liked his ribs and our friend just adored his ribeye. I started with the special salad with blue cheese, nuts, etc. Forgot to ask for the dressing on the side & it was way over dressed. I was brought the wrong tilapia dish (instead of plain grilled, it had crab stuffing, mushrooms, & a butter sauce). Not wanting to wait longer. I kept it and it was good. Just what I was expecting from Outback! No surprises as far as food but the service needs to be better. read more

Horrible experience. Sat down waited 15mins to get our drink orders. Then we put in our order prime rib medium rare. This should not take long it's already cooked. I was sitting for an hour and all I got was a salad and no bread. I called the manager he said he will see what's going on. 10 minutes later my food finally comes and it was a prime rib dried out and full of fat after I even told them to trim the fat off. I called the manager again and he says that looks really bad and not appetizing at all. It might have been the last of the prime rib he says. So he offered to make me something else. I said I'm not waiting around another minute. He did do his part and gave me a gift card but that's not the point. Sometimes I come here and it's awesome but other times it's the worst. Whomever was the chef/cook tonight was bombbbbb. I haven't been here in a while, hubby and I decided last minute to dine here since we were already in the area. He had the half rack ribs with fries and Mac n cheese. I had the 6 oz steak with lobster and loaded baked potato. My steak was juicyyyyyyyy, my lobster was juicyyyyy and my loaded baked potato was done to perfection with nice crisp real bacon, my plate came with a nice buttery dip for my lobster and boy it was juicy. I did not need A1 sauce for my steak, it was nicely seasoned with the perfect flavor and chew. I ordered my steak medium and it was done beautifully. We also had our 17 mth old son with us and usually he gets bored really quick but he was entertained with the coloring and daddy's fries. He realllllly loved the fries. Usually he'll eat one or two fries anywhere we go but then start nit picking which wasn't the case here. He really enjoyed the food! For our drinks I had ordered a 9oz Pinot Grigio, it was nicely chilled and plentiful to the glass. My hubby had rum and coke light on the ice, he said to his surprised it was very strong and satisfying. I also wanted to mention, we were sat by the back, where the chefs are cooking out back, they had the music blasted to throwback 90s, which I loveeeeeee and appreciated. Sounded like my "mase" station on pandora loll. Could be the reason why the food came out so good! I'm already planning our next dine date to come back here. Been awhile since I'd been there (about 5 years). Food was just ok, not as good as outback used to be. But what concerns me is that it appears that the windows and window sills have not been cleaned since the last time I was there. We sat in a booth along the windows and we could see the dirt, grime, and dead bugs. Not a very appetizing experience. We really won't be going back anytime soon. read more

Not giving this location a 1 due to the dining in service is good but the take out service sucks no matter if it's in the middle of the week or if it's on the weekend forget it. Expect to be on hold for about 15 min listening to the stupid Aussie recording before you even talk to someone to take your order. Also if you even get the order in don't expect it to be waiting on you once you get there in the time they tell you it will be done. Once you receive your order get ready to baby sit the person checking you out to make sure they put everything you ordered in there plus the usual stuff that goes out with take out orders. I have talked to a few managers there which all managers are super professional and are trying there best to get to go department corrected but it's been to many mess ups for me not to write this. read more

Just leaving from here and the reason for 5 stars is my server was an absolute angel. She came up about 15 minutes after we order and was nice enough to let us know that should did make a mistake on the POS and that there would be a little bit of an extra wait on the food. That's not really something a lot of servers would do and I can't stress enough how much I appreciated that. She got us a soup in the mean time and was very attentive the whole time. My first time at outback and I must say that the service at this location was outstanding. They opened the front door when we arrived and when we left. Our server was super attentive and quick with our order. He made a small mistake with the dressing, but otherwise the entire evening was nice. We ordered the blooming onion, since I had never eaten it and probably will never eat it again because of the immensely high calorie content. Their martini is delicious and priced well. The shrimp appetizer is fairly big, too and is enough for a dinner portion, if you add a side of veggies or salad with it. read more

We've been going to this Outback for several years and never had any issues. Lately, they can't seem to get things right. The orders come back incorrect and / or the bill is never right. Maybe the servers need more training. Not sure what the problem is. My husband always orders the lamb chops. They have gotten smaller and they don't seem to know what it means to lollypop them, which means to split them, then cook. We've been quite disappointed and may look elsewhere. We had a great evening at the Plantation Outback. Our Server, Maria N. Was amazing. She was professional and fun. She helped us with all the questions we had and gave us plenty of time to decide on what we wanted...And we definately struggled with making a selection, everything looked so good. We hit all then spots on the menu, Ribye, filet, lobster, and the new Bloomin' Chicken. Adult beverages, appetizers and dessert. We all had our meals crafted perfectly. They arrived at the table, steaming hot and each portion too large to finish in one sitting. The Manager came at the end of the meal and thanked us for our patronage and made us feel not only welcome but appreciated. After visiting this restaurant a few times with an issue every time I visited, I decided with my wife to give it one more chance. With reasonably low expectations we were not dissapointed when again the service was a dismal failure. After ordering appetizers and drinks, we waited an hour for our food with nothing served. We called the waitress to check on our food and told her that if it was not ready, to cancel the order. She brought us the bill. Other issues were: Burnt appetizers Appetizer arriving after the main course Not being seated for 20 minutes with the restaurant only 25% full. As you can see, the issues were ongoing. The manager did her best to resolve the situation but how can you fix something that seems to be ongoing and ingrained. Clearly, this place needs a complete overhaul or close down, whichever will fix the problems they have. I gave one star because the hostess opened the door for us. read more

I ordered delivery from here 4 times after enrolling in their Dine In rewards program. Unfortunately 2 out of 4 times my order was missing salad and or vegetable. The Thunder down under was uneatable they offer it as you finish ordering and the ice cream was literally milk. The driver was over an hour later than time given in confirmation email. The server Dena was very nice. However, a lady at a nearby table had bread served to her when she said she was gluten intolerant. She had a salad given to her 3 times because there was a fly in the first one, and onions in the second which she said she couldn't have. A mini plate of onion petals was $5.49 and was maybe 1/4 of a full onion blossom-should be like $2 for what you get. It also came out way before our salad which we asked for first, and they immediately brought our entrees and we had stated we wanted our salads before the meal. It takes a minute to throw a salad together? Our steak also came out medium instead of medium well and was chewy for a filet. The Mac and cheese was The kitchen was very bad/disorganized and needs to be improved or they are going to lose customers. 6/28 another visit very disappointing. Don't go here on a Friday night. Unless you like to wait. I generally like Outback, but I don't care to wait 30 to 45 minutes for a seat. Their food is not that good. On the bright side, they passed out food samples and took drink orders while you waited. My husband thought their Bloody Mary was very good, and he is very picky when it comes to a Bloody Mary. They also have a plenty of seating inside and outside so you aren't packed in like sardines. One of the samples they passed out was the Alice Springs Chicken Quesadilla. I love a quesadilla. Chicken, melty cheese, tortilla, what's not to love? Anyway, the quesadilla itself was good, but the dipping sauce included in the cup was honey mustard. Honey mustard sauce with a quesadilla? No. Just no. I'd love to know who thought that was a good idea. After about 35 minutes we were finally seated, and the waiter brought out the standard bread. I didn't remember it being so bland, but my son loved it. The waiter was great, by the way. One thing i will give Outback, even when it is really crowded, the service is always excellent. My husband and I had Caesar Salads. Huge portions, but I needed more croutons. I had a NY Strip, very well cooked, but under seasoned. I added salt. The fries were unremarkable. I knew the fries weren't great because my five-year-old son didn't care for them. And let me tell you, he would eat a sweat sock if it was deep fried and served with ketchup. My husband had a Porterhouse. The steak was huge, and he enjoyed it. The green beans he had were good but he thought they were a little overcooked. We shared a huge scoop of ice cream with Oreo crumbs for dessert, and it was no different than what I could make it home. Would I return? Probably not. I feel like their quality has declined a good bit over the years. Or maybe I am just outgrowing them. There are plenty of other restaurants to visit where you don't have a 35 minute wait, that have way better food. read more

NO NO NO, I will never go there again. This is not a one time disappointment this is multiple times. The staff could not care less about your order. The food is never cooked to your order. The last time one of our parties order was lost. The waitress did not bring bread or drinks or check up to see if we needed anything. The French onion soup came at the same time as the meal. We called ahead and was given a pager and waited 90 minutes! The food is not good. I have been to other Outbacks and had great food and service so this is not an attack on the company just this location. First things first, the service is poor. I suggest not to order anything too complicated for the server's to accomplish. Secondly, the quality of the food has slowly decreased through time. Even the ratings on this specific outback has gone downhill. Also the food takes forever to be given to the customer as well as the checks. Though with these negatives their are also some positives, for example the restaurant is pretty clean and nicely organized. I want to write because of the service I received from this store location. The food was good, as it always is, but the service was even better. From the gentleman on the phone to the staff on site, I commend your attitude to provide good service with a smile. I had a problem ordering online. The order would not take, so I just ordered by phone for take out. When I went to pick it up (by the way, they were precisely on time) there was a discrepancy from the price online with the final order. I know what I saw online and I made it clear I was sure of the meal cost. Problem. Seems I was not booking from the Outback website. The site I had visited bore a different price. Nevertheless, the server made the minor adjustment. Nice. Real nice. I was wrong. Sorry, and yet, this young man brought back the kind of service from the 'good old days' when we were taught that the customer is always right (even when I was clearly wrong.) I walked into your Take Away and placed an order. I waited over half an hour and still nothing. Then the girl in Take Away brought out a cold bag and the main course was missing altogether. By the time Mike fixed the order problem, it was over an hour since I had ordered. I don't know how your restaurant operates, but this incident is unforgivable. To add insult to injury, almost everyone of your staff is completely indifferent. The only exceptions were Mike and a young server who asked me if I needed anything. I thought I was invisible. I truly regret having spent almost sixty bucks at your restaurant. I say this about the staff in general because I had to walk into the kitchen to look for Mike. Needless to say, the girl at the Take Away register is utterly, completely incompetent and needs retraining from the very start. We have been dining here for years and have left reviews on how great the food,management and of course service from our favorite server Alan is. But in February 2020 covid happened and Alan was no longer there. For months we asked if he was coming back and no one seemed to know. Then in October we seen knew partitions in the lounge, We asked about the knew partitions and where told Alan and Management installed them the day before. I cannot tell you how happy we was when we seen Alan come to our table. He is truly the best. The way he takes care of us and the other costumers at other tables is truly a blessing. And the fact that he takes time on his own the come in and installed the partitions so that we can feel safer during this pandemic speaks of his kindness and how much he cares for us. I know that this location will no longer be around and a new store is being built soon. I have asked Alan if he will be going to the new store and he has said he isn't sure yet. So whomever is in the corporate management office reading this review I am begging you please make sure Allen is at the new location so we can feel at home in the new store. This used to be a first choice for a steakhouse.Our server was very slow. It took over 15 min to get him to ask us for drinks at all. Then we gave our order. Wasn't served our dinner for 45 min. Leaving the restaurant I mistakenly left my phone the table.The hostess said no one turned in a phone and took my number . I was not satisfied as I hadn't been gone but a mere 5 min. I walked to our table which had just been bussed. It was all gone. No new customers were there . My gut was that whoever bussed it saw it and took it. I know I can't prove that, but just FYI, the manager and all of their staff were in no way concerned or trying to help. I was appalled that the manager was so non chalant about it. His words to calm me down were, "Someone else left their wallet with $1000. dollars in it and it was taken too". I told him that's cause he has dishonest employees. Will never ever go back there. I've been to this Outback location before and the employees are always pleasant, food is good, and the restaurant is clean. What was different this time was our amazing server, Deena.
