Came here for Veterans Day and I was NOT disappointed. Outback did a great job serving veterans like me and my wife. They initially had an hour wait, but we were seated within half an hour on this busy day with no reservation. It was late about 7:30pm to 8:00pm and even though it was busy for the holiday they treated us nice. I really wish I could remember the server's name she said she arrived at 10am and was working until 10pm and she had the best attitude with everyone. The food was quick, and very tastey. I was surprised that they gave us the whole meal, including drink without cost. I should have ordered a appetizer or something, because there was no bill to give a tip. Luckily, we had cash. Booth and table seating. They also had small booths by the bar and seating at the bar. average sound. and great time. Yesterday I door dashed a ribeye steak, baked sweet potato and an additional baked potato for $50. What a waste of money! They will never see another dollar of my money! My flip flop has more taste than the steak as well being chewy and overcooked. The only surprise was the sweet potato, it was yummy, the baked potato was cold, hard and the condiments were chinsey. I went there yesterday with a group of friends. This was my first visit to an Outback in many years. We were surprised how few patrons were there at lunch time but that certainly resulted in good service by our waitress, Erica. She was a blast! I was planning on steak for dinner so I only ordered their standard hamburger with fries which I would say were good. The meat was done to my wellness request, a frequent disappointment at other places. The opening bread was tasty and refilled quickly. Our drinks were quickly topped off. The rest of the group who frequented OS regularly were happy with their meals except for the onion soup. I noticed that one sirloin steak meal looked properly cooked (medium rare) as ordered. The blooming onion was tasty and properly oily! The establishment was clean and the ambiance was fine with so few customers. It may have deserved another star. Went on an early dinner date with the hubs. The hostess was wonderful and had us seated right away. We sat there for 10 minutes and no server greeted us. The hostess noticed that we didn't have water or bread and quickly brought us some. The server finally comes over and asks what we want to drink from the bar. Not hi, sorry for the wait, my name is.... Nothing. So we told her the drink order. Then I asked for the manager and recounted our dining experience thus far. He apologized for the experience. I told him that we didn't want a bill credit we just wanted service. The server and manager tag-teamed our service. We ordered wings for app. My hubby had the chimichurri steak with sweet potato and I had the $14.99 special with house salad, grilled shrimp and sweet potatoes. Upgraded the dessert to the chocolate thunder down under. The food was delicious Everything came out hot, well seasoned, and exactly as pictured! We did tip 18% (usually we do 25-30%) but I don't think we'll be dining there again anytime soon. We try this place every couple of years, hoping things improve...they don't. My steak and mushrooms were literally a soup. The kitchen didn't even bother to drain the grease. The sides were served on a separate plate. The shrimp were pathetic. Shriveled. Embarrassing really. On top of that, the servers yell "corner!" at the top of their lungs every 3 seconds. It'll drive you crazy. I mean I get that they are trying to prevent a collision as servers enter/exit the kitchen, but they couldn't think of a more civilized way to do that?! im not a review writer, but I feel the need to respond to this experience. Staff seated us after 30 minutes of waiting outside to the patio that was open the entirety of our time waiting. Server did not approach us for an additional 10 minutes. Order Ramon, 1 sushi roll, 1 Sapporo and a Saki. Ramon came out in 2 minutes, drinks came out 10 minutes later, and then the sushi rolls were delivered momentarily after, laid onto a piece of foil looking like a casserole. No silverware or napkins delivered at this point. I went inside to get that on my own. The Ramon was decent but delivered with BROWN boiled eggs ; sushi roll was less Than Fry's rolls BY FAR. The service was non existent. I will say when AJ was assigned to our table, he did a phenomenal, Toilets had TP sitting on top of holders, trash on the floors inside the restaurant and bathroom. read more

Outback is one of my favorite places so much so I'd eat my favorite dish(Queensland chicken and pasta )10times or more a month my son orders a steak sometimes my husband orders salmon so our bill is anywhere from $70-$110 or more on top of that we tip generously. How much money is that from one customer. They must have changed the Alfredo sauce to a cheaper product. Outback claims to make sauce from scratch. I can tell you they don't. I've complained about the sauce being different it is now extremely oily to where I lift my fork and oil drips from it and my mouth is coated with oil. If they made from scratch they would fix the oil issue that didn't use to be. I love the dish so much I keep ordering it because I'm hoping each time it will be back to normal. Nope apparently they don't care and can afford to lose $700.00to$1,010.00 from one customer plus take money out of their employees pockets. Normal I wouldn't do this but,this is unacceptable and management couldn't care less .These are the napkins from one night I had to soak up the oil from the bottom of my bowl. If you love oil order the Queensland chicken and pasta with Alfredo sauce. Used to be 5 stars giving one star now is being generous. I can tell you,all the ladies in take out Amanda,Jessica,Eva and Emily Have been extremely nice and helpful. They are all rock stars but, they don't work in the kitchen. Outback steakhouse is one of my favorite go to places when I'm in the mood for filet mignon. I stopped by recently and picked up an online order to go, and it was ready when I arrived, and prepared to order. I always ask for no seasoning on my steak and the temperature medium rare, and they nailed it. One of my favorite things about Outback is their house salad with ranch dressing. The salads are almost always fresh and the ranch has a little bit of kick to it with a bit of cayenne seasoning mixed in. I was surprised to see that fresh brown bread was also packaged up with honey butter, and that was a nice surprise that I didn't expect. SURPRISINGLY GOOD! Chain establishments can be hit or miss, but this was DE-LISH! Bread was pretty good, I wish it was warmer! It was already a bit room temperature by the time I got to it. I had the Bloomin Chicken, which is a chicken breast made with the Bloomin onion batter, seasoning, and sauce! It was really good, next time I'd get an extra side of the sauce as they only put a small drizzle on top. For my sides I got a Caesar salad and the Mac and cheese. Caesar salad was typical and good, lots of croutons, cheese, and dressing. The Mac and cheese was ONE OF THE BEST that I've had!!! It had a kick to it, and was super creamy at the bottom with breadcrumbs on top. One neat thing is that they give you a "saddle" if you sit at the bar, so that you have more room to eat your plate on. This is because the bar is oddly shaped without much room for plates. Okay so im using loyds voice from dumb and dumber when i say , "you totally redeemed yourself " !! My first review was now that i read it a little harsh but im not afraid to type in and say these mates sure did step up the game ! My salad was so fresh and cold , just enough ranch where i didnt have to ask for more ; a good portion ! I ordered a rack of ribs , i never really do that but i was feeling crazy today and im glad i did , they were really good and not fatty , not too much bbq sauce to be too saucy , they were really good . My fries were okay , great portion . My loaded mash potato's are pretty damn good just wish gravy came with them , i ordered the loaded tho so not sure if thats why but they were still really good ! And once again a good portion . And service most importantly was spot freaking on with Denise she was amazing and quick , people need to train off her and see how fast a condiment or a refill should come . The food and Service were really good. I just don't see how 2 people at Outback is almost $50 on the bill. I think the prices have crept up a bit from what I remember. Still, great place, just or prepared for about $25 a person. Update: from 4 to 2 stars 1-17-20 Well I think the Service is what saved the night. We started off ordering the clam chowder. This is what kept us coming in and from going to another Steak House. It wasn't good. They say they made it from scratch, but added Cayenne, who puts cayenne in clam chowder? My wife and I both couldn't eat it. And we paid an up charge for this, come on. We ordered the blooming onion, which came out a little more cooked than I think it should of been. It had a bit of a burnt taste to it. My steak was also a little dry as well, and I ordered medium. I had to ask for a little butter to add to help. At the end of the day we had to wait 37 minutes food to come out. Again, the service was great, was just OK food and paying over $50, it should be pretty good. My husband and I decided to travel to Tucson to eat at the Outback on Grant Rd. We had one in our town that closed down. The local paper said the Outback said it was because the community didn't support it. We would frequently go, but there were several issues with the one in our community. 1. The wait for someone to greet you when came in the door was always long. 2. Then when they did come to greet you their would be no one in the restaurant and they would have to look at a paper to decide where to sit you. Always acting like you are a surprise and taking to long to find you a place to sit. 3. Food was always good. Service very slow. Now to the review on the Outback in Tucson. Again no one to greet you at the door. Waited about 3 minutes which doesn't sound to long. Again seemed puzzled as where to seat. Here is the good part. Service was quick, server was excellent and the food was very good. I ordered the chicken and it was accompanied by barbecue which I didn't order and when given the bill I noticed they charged an extra one dollar for it. No problem I paid it. Didn't say anything because I could tell the waitress was having a problem with the man at the table next to us. What is a dollar! She was an excellent waitress and yes we would go back. I'm going to begin by saying chain restaurants are not my first choice, but we were catching a movie at Roadhouse, and Outback is right there. The restaurant was busy for a Monday but not crazy busy, and we were greeted and seated right away. Our server took our drink order and left menus for perusal. It was our lucky day! Outback was featuring their lobster combos - and my friend and I are lobster lovers. We ordered the 5 ounce center-cut top sirloin and steamed lobster tail that comes with one side. I chose the blue cheese chopped salad. Love those candied pecan toppers! My friend ordered the broccoli and cheese. It came in a big bowl with lots of cheesy sauce and was good to the last drop! The five-ounce steak is not very thick, and worried that it might be cooked past my medium-rare request, I cut into it immediately. No worries needed; it was a perfect medium rare. The lobster tail was perfectly cooked as well: soft but firm, and sweet. I'm not sure what exactly the butter sauce was. It was too thick to be just clarified butter, but it tasted great. These combos are $16.99, which is a fair price for our very tasty small meal. But since we had to save room for popcorn at the movie, it was perfect. For bigger appetites and more money, larger sirloins, ribeyes, and even wagyu beef are available with lobster. And if you want to try something new and different, opt for the crispy lobster and shrimp bites with your steak. read more

My rating for this restaurant is a strong 4 stars. We had lunch at this Outback and the lunch scene had not become very busy at the time of our arrival. I ordered a lunch salad with ranch dressing, and the Alice Springs Chicken with fries. We also had the gluten-free Chocolate Thunder Down Under for dessert. My salad was basic, but well-presented and all of the ingredients were fresh. They were a bit too generous with the ranch dressing, but I love ranch so no problem there. Oh, I also shared a starter version of the Shrimp on the Barbie, which was seasoned nicely, cooked correctly, and was overall very tasty. My Alice Springs Chicken was juicy and delicious. The chicken was cooked perfectly and how can you go wrong with chicken topped with mushrooms, bacon, cheese, and a honey mustard sauce? Yum! The fries were hot and fresh. Our dessert was rather fabulous, too. The brownie was rather light and not dense. The ice cream and whipped cream went with it perfectly. Finally, the service was good throughout.
