I was fortunate enough to have this place recommended to me by one of my colleagues. On a rainy day, I walk in, hoping that I was going to be able to get a table. But I was welcomed in to the bar with one open seat. The staff was very welcoming with a bit of sarcasm, which is probably something that I look forward to everywhere. I asked for recommendations, having looked at the menu and they handed me another special menu of the day stating obviously I hadn't read the whole thing yet. I started with the snapper appetizer and I have Tse with the coconut lime broth. It was absolutely delicious, followed by the crawfish capellini. I was surprised by the amount of crawfish in the dish and the chili flavor, which was absolutely delicious. I have been hearing about the hush puppies for a while so I had to try some, especially because my colleague raved about it at dinner the night before. Lastly, I had the baked drum which was delicious light and flaky. The flavors were incredible. I personally thought that the bread was a little overly grilled and chard, but overall the dishes still pretty good. I cannot say more about the dessert. It's absolutely one of the best desserts I've had in a long time. The sticky carrot cake toffee cake with cream cheese ice cream was just on the next level. All restaurants have off days or times, and from our experience at Peche, this may have been one of them. After trying a few times to get a reservation at this restaurant because of the reviews, we were unable to secure a walk-up with an hour wait. The front of house was not very inviting, and we should have taken that as a warning. When we were seated at 1:30, the staff seemed ready for a break. We were greeted, and then it took 15 mins for them to get back to us for drinks and answer any questions We ordered two cocktails, Gintilly and The Head and the Heart, which were not memorable compared to other options we sampled in our week-long tour of NOLA. For apps, we ordered Tuna Crudo and Smoked Tuna dip, which were both mediocre in size and taste. It also took a while for them to bring them to our table, and we had to remind them. ( 20 minutes to deliver raw fish). We split a mixed green salad, which was good with a tangy dressing. For entrees, we ordered Capellini /Crawfish and Fish sticks with a side of crispy spinach. The fish sticks arrived cold, and they had to refire it. The manager apologized. Overall, they were good. We finished the meal with a salted Peanut Pie, which was the highlight at a fish restaurant. Overall, the staff was waiting around and almost ignoring us. With hiccups, there were no adjustments, but a simple here is your newly cooked dish with no apology. My wife and I are foodies and had high expectations for Peche but they fell short of the hype in service and execution for $ 175 with tip on this late lunch. read more

Yes, this place lives up to the stellar reviews. Reservations are highly recommended. You can eat at the bar which is first come, first served but on this Monday night, it was still packed at 7:45p. Once seated, we ordered a dozen raw oysters then small plate crawfish capellini, seared tuna. Everything was delicious. I was so inspired by the meals I ordered the sticky toffee pudding to share. We did eat pretty late though...8:15p reservation. However I was continually amazed that people were still coming in after us....wow! Truly a popular place. This restaurant made us feel like long lost friends and not tourists. The restaurant is housed in an old building which is deceivingly small from the outside but, upon entering, quite spacious and not overwhelming. Let me start by saying that Peche is AMAZING with great prices! My husband and I had an early dinner reservation at 4:45. We got done early with an appointment and decided to head over. They sat us about 15 minutes earlier than our reservation, which was so nice of them. We started off with fried oysters with kimchi and gulf shrimp as appetizers... definitely a 10/10. My husband got the baked drum that came with peas, in an delicious broth and a piece of bread. I got the hanger steak with salsa verde that came with potatoes and we shared the brussels in chili vinegar. We ended with key lime pie for dessert. We LOVED our food and the service was again, AMAZING. Food came out fast and the ambiance was super chill and professional. Would definitely come back for more! read more

Pêche Seafood Grill gets busy during peak hours, so definitely make a reservation or join the waitlist ahead of time. They're known for their grilled whole fish, and honestly, I regret not ordering it. I was worried it would be too much for one person, but when it arrived at the table next to me, it smelled incredible and instantly gave me food envy. The oysters were ice-cold and very fresh, the gumbo was flavorful, and the crudo was well-executed and enjoyable. My drink was also excellent and complemented everything nicely. One of my favorite places in Nola. We weren't able to get a reservation but we were happy we got two seats at the bar at 5pm. We met a fun couple sitting next to us and sipped some Fortaleza together, yummy! The snapper ceviche and steak tartare were my favorite appetizers. I'm so glad I saw the recipe on the back wall but I'm not sure I can master this perfection. Then the whole grilled fish can with our sides and amazing! I don't know what ingredients were included but the carrots were so delicious. I thought they were sweet potatoes. Very flavorful and great spice. Similar to the massaman curry that I often cook with. We ordered key lime pie and I forgot to take a picture. It too was a favorite! I took the rest home with me to savor it. The ladies restroom was very nice, loved the cute changing table for babies. And I enjoyed reading the articles about the chef in the hallway. The restaurant was packed and I loved all the wood beams. I noticed a fish collar on the way back to my seat. It looked amazing and I would like to come back and try that too. Wow, by far our favorite spot we dined at when we visted NOLA over Easter weekend. My husband remembered really loving Peche when his bachelor party came to NOLA four years ago and he was not disappointed with his second meal here. The kinilaw and the steak tartare were our favorite dishes during a stellar night and are must orders, but everything we tried was great - even the salted peanut butter pie for this chocolate disliker :) All the seafood was incredibly fresh and all the dishes were super balanced and flavorful. Sad this spot is far from us so we can't try the rest of the menu easily, but we would absolutely visit again the next time we're in the city! read more

Sometimes Michelin spots can be a bit of hit or miss but Peche lives to the name. I would probably put this closer at 4.5, but good enough to round up to 5 stars. We sat at the bar so the staff was quite hard to get a hold of but was attentive when we did get attention. And the bar did a great job creating a mocktail that hits the spot on a hot day. I asked for Tabasco on the side with more lemon to enjoy them with. It comes with a side of crackers. - Hushpuppies 1.7/5 Our waitress said these were her favorite. Our hushpuppies came out lukewarm and dry. The best part of this was the butter. After many years of missed reservations (blame all the day drinking for that) I FINALLY fulfilled my bucket list of dining at Pêche! Every dish was everything I had hoped for and more. We ordered the smoke tuna dip, special tuna crudo, crawfish capellini, fried bread, shrimp toast, the whole fish with salsa verde, potatoes and Brussels sprouts. BUT the star of the night was the daily Snapper Collar! As soon as we were seated I quickly scanned for it on the daily special and boy was I so excited. Our daughter told us this was a place we had to dine in so reservations were made weeks in advance. We were not disappointed! It served dishes unique to Nola which for foodies like us, is very important. We've never even heard of drum fish! It is soft & sweet. The portions were just right for family style dining so we could sample five that struck our curiousity. Kinilaw is a traditional Pilipino cooking style similar to ceviche. Seeing it on the menu done to snapper was a pleasant surprise & it was delicious. The crab rice with harisa gave the sweet & fresh crab more flavor with a slight "bite". Dining at Peche Seafood Grill was easily the best meal I had in New Orleans. The red snapper ceviche-style special in coconut milk was exceptional--fresh, bright, and perfectly balanced. The catfish was cooked flawlessly; we ended up ordering multiple servings, it was that good. Came here for the New Year's Eve set menu on our first trip to New Orleans after hearing so many great things about Peche. The regular menu and reputation set our expectations pretty high, even though the NYE menu leaned more Asian-influenced than what the restaurant is known for. Unfortunately, this ended up being the most disappointing meal of our trip. While the service was genuinely good and the drinks were well done, the food itself felt uninspired and poorly executed. Much of it reminded us of mediocre catered Japanese food that had been sitting out too long before being served. For example, the gyoza/dumplings arrived almost cold, with hardened skin (exactly what happens when dumplings are left out too long). The miso-glazed fish collar was very one-dimensional, and the glaze looked like it had been under a heat lamp for a while rather than freshly prepared. For a restaurant of Peche's caliber, especially on a prix fixe NYE menu, we expected much better. It's totally fine to experiment with a different cuisine for a special occasion, but the execution here really missed the mark. read more

My friend told us we had to come eat here when I visited from Houston and this place did not disappoint! We couldn't get reservations because they were fully booked so we opted to just show up & sit at the bar. There was a little wait to get an open seat but we were able to get drinks while we waited & the bar tenders were just amazing!!! We met some people while waiting & an older gentleman gave us his seat so it was just a superb experience. Then, we sat & ordered the crawfish croquettes & they were amazing. Pêche was high on our list of places to dine and they were every bit as good as we hoped. We started with the oysters which were very good. I ordered the grilled chicken which comes with a seasoned congee, and they were amazing. The chicken was dark with a crispy skin which was very well seasoned and had chili crisp on top. The congee also had some chili crisp and garlic. My wife ordered the jumbo shrimp which was also seasoned very well, and very good. For dessert we shared the salty peanut pie which I highly recommend. Ours took a little time to come out, they had some issues in the kitchen, but they proactively came and told us it was going to be on the house. Pêche was one of my favorite meals in New Orleans. I ordered the whole grilled fish and the kinilaw from the menu of the day, and both were outstanding. The kinilaw was especially good because it was bright and citrusy like ceviche, but had this subtle coconut richness that made each bite feel layered and almost tropical. The whole grilled fish was cooked perfectly: beautifully charred on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned just enough to highlight the fish rather than overwhelm it. There's something so satisfying about a dish that's simple on paper but executed flawlessly, and Pêche really nails that. The space has that lively-but-relaxed New Orleans energy, and the service was EXCELLENT without hovering. When I tell you that they came around frequently but not overbearingly, service was perfection. The place is popular and it's packed. I know why after finishing my meal. The food and s excellent. I had an appetizer of fish sticks that elevated this typically bland item to something special. The fish and the bread crumb crust didn't fall apart and that worked well with the side of dipping sauce. The tuna was smooth with the slightest hint of smoky flavor that just melted in my mouth. This is hands down my number one favorite restaurant in New Orleans. I make it a point to come here every single time I'm in the city. The service is always excellent. I've had dinner both at a table and at the bar, and no matter where you sit, the experience is consistently great. After checking in at the host stand, you're usually seated pretty quickly (reservations are definitely recommended). If you sit at the bar, the bartenders are super friendly, and the drinks are always on point. They have a great cocktail list and a really solid wine selection. The servers are also very knowledgeable about the menu and incredibly helpful. As for the food, I've had almost everything on the menu, and honestly, it's all amazing. One thing I always order no matter what is the crab capellini. If it's on the menu, it's non-negotiable and my absolute favorite. Right now, they also have crab claws, which I really love. The menu changes from time to time, but there's truly nothing on it that I wouldn't order. I recommend Peche to everyone, and I'm always excited to go back. I genuinely love this place. read more

Pêche is in the Warehouse District in New Orleans. This restaurant is amazing! My wife and I started off with a few drinks at the bar and were well taken care of by Amanda and Sam. The place was packed and we were offered a seat at the oyster bar when they also had five empty tables so we decided just to stay at the bar where we felt welcome by these two lovely people. We were pleased to meet Jonathan , the Mayor of Pêche. He was kind enough to guide us through the menu and suggested all of the things we chose to eat, except for our dessert. He recommended Keylime pie, but we decided not to have that. However, the folks next to us did order it and said it was absolutely incredible. We enjoyed all of the dishes that we had, including a couple of different crab dishes, some shrimp dishes, and incredible fish sticks. The menu here is very fun and creative. This place is a real treat. We just walked by and saw it. It was packed late on a Sunday night, so we figured it must be good. It was excellent. We may well go back for dinner tomorrow. read more

Late dinner date at Peche! After hearing about how great this restaurant was, we finally decided to try it tonight. Overall, we absolutely enjoyed our experience here! Seafood isn't my first option for cuisine, but Peche definitely takes one of my top spots for more upscale casual restaurants to dine at! The service was great and our waiter check on us multiple times throughout the evening to make sure we were content. We got the Steak tartare (100/10), fried fish sticks (10/10), roasted Brussels sprouts (9/10), Whole grilled fish (7.5/10), and sticky toffee cake (100/10). Again, these are not items that we usually lean towards, but I'm very happy that we chose them! The steak tartare was definitely an item I've never had, but was absolutely delicious! Not too salty, and very enjoyable - A very nice appetizer to start the night with! Next, Brussel sprouts are always a must for me. These may have been a tad too oily, but were still very good! Fried fish sticks were much better than I expected. The tartar sauce that came along with it was the perfect balance to the slightly saltier fried item. The whole grilled fish was smaller than I expected and also slightly saltier than I expected. Last, but not least, the sticky toffee cake was the best way to end our night. We couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off our family trip! We visited Pêche on a Thursday night, and despite the restaurant being completely full, the energy was electric. It's easy to see why this place is such a hotspot. Walking into Pêche feels like stepping onto the set of a rom-com movie! It has a wonderful, infectious vibe, somehow perfectly balancing an elevated, chic atmosphere with a completely unpretentious feel. It's the kind of place where you feel special the moment you sit down. The meal was, in a word, spectacular. The seafood was incredibly fresh, showcasing the best of the Gulf, and every dish was a hit. We ordered the whole fish, seafood platter, broccoli and cauliflower sides, steak tartare, salty peanut pie, sticky toffee pudding, etc. We paired our meal with some of the smoothest drinks we've had in a long time, and our fave was the cucumber drink! It was amazing from the first bite to the last. The true highlight of our night was meeting Chef Nikki Cabrera Mills. She was so incredibly hospitable and warm, taking the time to make us feel welcome. She even visited our table and chatted with us! I found out that we attended the same college. :) Her kindness added a personal layer to the meal that turned a great dinner into a lifelong memory. New Orleans is blessed to have a chef and restaurant like her. If only we could have this in SF! This wasn't just a dinner, it was a perfect first night in New Orleans and an amazing setup for our family vacation. This experience is definitely going straight into our family memory book. What a delight to eat here. I went with two friends so we had a variety of menu items, mostly fish, of course. They obviously take their time in making the most interesting, well-cooked flavor combinations. We started with tuna tartare - amazing, melt-in-your-mouth with a great sauce. We each really enjoyed our meals, with a great portion size, nice balance of protein to carb to veg, and again, each very unique in flavor profile. Not pictured here was the crab capellini and the drum fish which was a special. We also got a variety of fun and unique drinks. The vibe of this restaurant is awesome. It's not too loud despite being busy, and the decor is very cool. Big windows open out onto the street for nice airflow. Bathrooms were clean and easily accessible. Our waiter was amazing. We were in a rush and he was super attentive and helped us pick food that would be ready quickly but not compromise on flavor. My first time at Pêche and definitely not my last. I went for a friend's birthday lunch and the service was great from start to finish. I started with the Mai Tai, which was absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the shrimp and the gumbo. Both were really good, and as someone who loves okra, I appreciated that the gumbo was made with it. First trip to Nola and we first tried Cochon which was a Michelin, 2025 restaurant. We also came across here Pesche which was also a Michelin recipient of a star in 2025. First and foremost this restaurant did not disappoint. The only available reservation spot. We had one day before was at 3:45 PM for a late lunch. Inside it was bus and everyone looked happy to be there including the staff. Not a fancy interior but it was a relaxed classy seafood place. We tried a couple of different dishes, including crawfish croquettes with Fontina, hush puppies, catfish with greens, kale salad, smoked drum with olives, and crawfish cappellini with chili oil. All the dishes were incredibly unique and flavorful. If you are Filipino, then the catfish with greens is very similar to the dish sinigang. The flavors were amazing and this is not your average seafood restaurant. Definitely worth a visit when coming to Nola. read more

Pêche is a delightful seafood restaurant in downtown New Orleans about 12 minutes (walking distance) from the French quarter. On a recent visit with my partner, we decided to try Pêche at the recommendation of a friend who is from NOLA. The menu is relatively extensive, with a shorter specials menu that I assume changes weekly. We tried the snapper kinilaw ceviche special - which was outstanding - as well as the crawfish croquettes, which were equally delicious. For our mains I had the tuna with broccoli and my partner had the jumbo shrimp with coconut sticky rice - he didn't love the sticky rice, but I actually thought it was quite tasty. My tuna was good, if not a bit basic, but I liked the sauce - although, at this price point a little more broccoli would have been appreciated (see photo). Overall though, excellent food, cool industrial space, and service was decent. However, on the topic of service, we showed up without a reservation, and it was a very busy Saturday, however they kindly agreed to accommodate us at the oyster bar which was at the time empty, but they said it would be ten minutes and they put our name on the list. Unfortunately, they forgot about us and 25 minutes later of sitting in the heat and humidity, I had to remind them and then we were able to finally be seated. I liked the oyster bar though, it was kind of cool, you could watch the staff shuck oysters, too bad I don't eat them. Highly recommend Pêche, but do make reservations in advance if possible - especially on a weekend. read more

This was the best meal we had in NOLA (and we had a few terrific ones). The food was delicate, intricate and absolutely delicious. The service was spot on (like a michelin star restaurant but less stuffy and more friendly). One person in our party had celiac - and when we asked the waitress which items were gluten free - the took out a pen and crossed off each item that our friend couldn't eat (even on the specials). This was above and beyond what other places do and really reflects the knowledge base and also the customer service of the employees. The water was refilled without asking, the dirty dishes were taken away promptly and the table was cleared whenever there was space between the courses. This was the last meal on our trip and we definitely saved the best for last. I highly recommend making a reservation and signing up for an alert if something isn't available (that's how I got our reservation) read more

The space blends natural wood beams and accents with an industrial style that feels warm and modern. The service was excellent from the moment we sat down. This was my first time visiting Peche and it was wonderful! I hate that the public parking by the building is actually a paid lot (~$15/ hour?) I was able to get street parking though. I also wasn't a fan of this fly that was inside and bothering my friend and I. This was our first time meeting in years and she's visiting Nola so my choice of restaurant with a fly buzzing around wasn't so great. I think it's because they leave the door cracked open the whole day. Despite those minor grievances, the real show was the food. I opted for the fish sticks and crawfish croquettes. I loved both! I really recommend the croquettes for Nola visitors. I got the kimchi grilled oysters as well ($19) which it was okay. It's not bad but for the concept and price, I've had better grilled oysters elsewhere. Lastly for dessert I got the carrot cake toffee pudding and it was phenomenal. Please try it. The cocktails were also good (strawberry daiquiri and angry pirate), nothing disgustingly strong. As for the service. They were great, polite. It's nice that they pack your food to go for you.
