Peche was easily one of the highlights of my trip to New Orleans! The fish collar was absolutely incredible! so meaty, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The oysters were fresh and delicious, exactly what I was hoping for. I also had the chance to try a few of the sides, and they did not disappoint. The corn and Brussels sprouts were both packed with flavor. From the fresh seafood to the amazing sides, everything was on point. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in New Orleans!

Peche might be one of, if not the one, best restaurant I've ever been to! I visited New Orleans back in early May and I'm literally still thinking about all the yummy food I had at Peche. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was also really cool to be seated at the oyster bar and get to watch all the appetizers being made.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The snapper kinilaw with coconut was like a crudo, carpaccio, or ceviche and it was amazinggggg. The mix of the coconut milk, the chili oil, the fish, and the greens was such a good combo - it was so flavorful yet bright and light. I could have had so many plates of this. The crawfish croquettes were also fantastic! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and you could really taste the crawfish and the spices. Again, so much flavor! The baked drum with leek was probably my least favorite dish of the night, just because I like my fish more soft and smooth, but it was still good! Finally, I was swayed to get the carrot sticky toffee pudding after seeing so many of them being made at the bar. It was like a deconstructed carrot cake, with cream cheese flavor ice cream and a warm, sticky molten carrot cake and graham cracker crumbles. Absolutely divine. I would go back to New Orleans just for Peche!

It wasn't too busy and I was easily able to get a table. Our servers were very friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave good suggestions. The timing of the appetizers, main dishes and desserts were on point. I throughly enjoyed the overall dining experience here. Tuna crudo - was alright, had a fishiness and was tangy Oysters - fresh and melted in my mouth. The crackers add a nice crunch and also paired well with the tuna crudo. Cobia - the char on the fish had a burnt taste to it. Other than that, the fish had a crispy and had a nice chew to it. There was a hint of freshness from the zucchini and the salad+orzo. Brussel sprouts - This was good. The vinegar was not overpowering and it was cooked just right where the Brussel sprouts had a sweet taste and still had a slight bite to it. Carrot toffee pudding - great! It is a sweet dessert. The hot and cold factor gave a nice mix. key lime pie - it was sweet and light, but could have a stronger zest Service 10/10 [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance 10/10[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food 7/10

Having worked a few Essence Festivals, I'd seen this place a few times but finally got to dine here. Our server were great, personable and had an extensive knowledge of the menu, which is always appreciated because so many things on the menu sounded great and I only have one stomach. There was a minor hiccup with our food, which took a very long time to come out as the server and manager had come out to tell us that our food had been delivered to the wrong table, including the steak that we ordered for the table. Everything else up to that point had been great and we were given two small plates of spicy ground shrimp with noodles as an apology, which was good. I think the food just takes a long time in general because it took a while for us to get our appetizers in general but to be honest, we were chatting and I had a glass of Pinot so I wasn't really clock watching but you can tell (and taste) that the food is made well. I really enjoyed the smoked tuna dip. I don't know why I thought it was going to come out hot but it came out cold and the saltine crackers made it. I loved every bite of it. The fried bread was SO GOOD. It tasted like I was eating pizza dough? Can't explain it but it was delicious. The one meh small plate I had was the fish sticks. The sauce was good but the batter didn't have any flavor to me. Fish was cooked well so no concerns there. The ribeye for the table was amazing and so tender! Definitely a highlight for us. All in all, I would return. For the fried bread and rib eye alone.

I was in New Orleans for a work conference, and Peche came highly recommended. It absolutely lived up to the hype. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is beautiful, the service was warm and attentive, and every dish showcased just how incredible the seafood is.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We started with the tuna crudo, which was incredibly fresh. We also shared the spicy ground shrimp over pasta, and it was unlike anything I've had before. Oddly enough, it reminded me of Cincinnati chili in the best possible way. rRch, comforting, and packed with flavor. For the main dish, we had the baked drum, which was cooked perfectly and served with stewed okra. The fish was outstanding, and the flavors throughout the dish were balanced and delicious. We also shared the grilled zucchini. It was a bit overcooked, which made it soft, but the flavor was still excellent. Overall, this was an exceptional dining experience from start to finish. Beautiful restaurant, outstanding service, and memorable food. I would absolutely come back the next time I'm in New Orleans and highly recommend it.

This place was everything we hoped for and more. We heard about this establishment from a local and he couldn't recommend this place more. It's NOLA and there are obviously a plethora of restaurant options to choose from however, this place was outstanding. The service was good, the food took sometime to arrive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interiors were classy with character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the oysters to start with, I got a Bloody Mary and some chicken skewers. I got the fish they recommended and my husband got the grilled shrimp. We finished it with the carrot toffee cake which kicked it out of the park! The oysters : 10/10, very fresh. The chicken: 10/10, perfectly cooked. The fish: 100/10! Definitely the star! Grilled shrimp: 9/10, slightly fishy. The carrot toffee cake: 1000000/10, I dream of this dessert. Can't wait to revisit.

We had the most fantastic dinner on Saturday with Joey and Robert serving us. From the time we walked in, the service was great from everyone we encountered. Their awesome customer service actually started before we stepped into the place. A tropical storm was coming the night of our original reservations and their staff accommodated us for another night. They were very understanding then and even when we had to again change plans due to the weather. We went from a party of eight to five. Every single one of us thought the meal and service were outstanding. I have a gluten allergy and Joey handled it very well, making adjustments where he could so that I could still enjoy the dishes. The table split the Seafood Platter which came with a Smoked Tuna Dip, Smoked Drum Dip, Gulf Shrimp, Seafood Salad, and Raw Oysters. We also split the Steak Tartare. Supplemental crackers and toast hit the table. I was so pleasantly surprised that they provided me with cucumber slices to transport the tartare and dips to my mouth! The fish dips, Seafood Salad, and Steak Tartare were outstanding. We were recommended the Steak Tartare by friends and we definitely agree it's a winner. For cocktails, we started with Old Fashions and I had the Mother of Pearl made with both gin and vodka and dill. I was reluctant at first because I don't like gin but I'm glad I decided it give it a try because it was refreshing. I later switched to a Dirty Martini. For entrees, we tried to split the daily special Cobia Fish dish but unfortunately they sold out so they replaced it with another fish. We also had the Grilled Tuna. For sides we got the Seafood Gumbo, Fried Oysters made gluten free, Fried Okra which was gluten free and made with cornmeal and then also the Brussel Sprouts. Both sides were so good especially the Brussel Sprouts with the Chili Sauce. The Asian fusion on all the dishes were not over powering and was a true highlight. We loved the Fried Oysters so much, we had a second order. Thank you for making them gluten free! I can't remember what desserts we got but everyone enjoyed them. The pictures look pretty. I think it was Key Lime Pie, Sticky Toffee Pudding with Cream Cheese Ice Cream, and Ice Cream. I only tasted the ice creams and they were yummy. We're so happy we finally had a chance to enjoy a meal at Peche. We've heard for years that we had to have dinner here. Joey made the meal extra special. Overall service is great from them picking up dirty dishes, refilling glasses, to bringing us little wipes after eating the seafood with our fingers.

We had a great meal experience here. We chose it because my husband wanted to try it and they had ahi tuna. We had two servers who were fantastic. One of them brought us fried bread balls by mistake instead of fish dip. Those fried bread balls were so darned delicious. Our fish dip was wonderful. We upgraded for cucumbers on the side. We had ahi Tuna and hanger steak. My steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and my husband was very impressed with his ahi tuna. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has a super cool vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We shared a great bottle of Chardonnay. We look forward to coming back to the city for another great experience. The entire staff were so friendly and welcoming.

Came to Peche for a birthday party after years of hearing about the place. It was three of us so we did a family style meal of ordering the whole fish, roasted in their wood oven and covered in their chimichurri sauce. The fish was excellent though its size is good for two and not three. We made up for the lack of fish with extra side dishes. The sides are seasonal and on this day we had the pumpkin side dish which was the best pumpkin dish I ever ate. Honestly all of the sides were excellent and made up for the lack of fish. Peche is a great spot and I highly recommend for a great seafood dinner.

Love, love, love Peche! The ingredients were fresh and high-quality, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. We had a reservation one evening and loved it so much that we went back again the next night. I highly recommend the fried okra -- the best I've ever had -- along with the creamed corn appetizer, crab noodles, spicy shrimp noodles, and baked drum. This is definitely one of those places where you want to try everything on the menu, which is exactly why we had to dine there two nights in a row!

I hadn't been here in a while and was reminded of how delicious it was. We brought family in town on my birthday and the waiters even brought us a dessert with a candle in it! The fried okra were so delicious and crispy but not too heavy of a batter. All our fish dishes were so good! The food never disappoints here.

A great night at Peche. Such a vibrant atmosphere--everyone enjoying themselves, and the wonderful food. The fish sticks were perfect as were the Brussels, the congee rice (a must), and the catfish. The peche old fashioned is seriously good. Service, again, over the top, so friendly. And the Alabama oysters with the ginger sauce, more please. Only downer were the hush puppies--way too heavy and not whipped light. Don't turn them into hockey pucks!

Yes, this place lives up to the stellar reviews. Reservations are highly recommended. You can eat at the bar which is first come, first served but on this Monday night, it was still packed at 7:45p. Once seated, we ordered a dozen raw oysters then small plate crawfish capellini, seared tuna. Everything was delicious. I was so inspired by the meals I ordered the sticky toffee pudding to share. We did eat pretty late though...8:15p reservation. However I was continually amazed that people were still coming in after us....wow! Truly a popular place. This restaurant made us feel like long lost friends and not tourists. The restaurant is housed in an old building which is deceivingly small from the outside but, upon entering, quite spacious and not overwhelming. I love this town for its food and hospitality!

    Gluten free options?

No none of that concept exists here

    Is this place walker accessible?

    Yes.

Is there outdoor dining? If so, is it possible to reserve that option?

    No outdoor seating

    Do you need reservations?

    Yes!

On the description it says vegan options, but I don't see any listed on the menu. Does anyone know how to order vegan here?

Yes, vegan specials vary daily. If you wanna know what's served for the day I'd call in first.

Is there happy hour? If so, what is on the happy hour menu?

    Call them

Are jeans acceptable attire? Or should one lean towards something a little nice for dinner here?

Not sure what some of these folks are talking about. Jeans are absolutely ok. It's an extremely casual place. Yes, it doesn't hurt to "dress up" but you can say that about nearly every sitdown restaurant. There's absolutely nothing unacceptable…

Is the grilled fish offered daily? Trying to come in for dinner around 7 pm on A sunday

Yes, they always have at least one type of grilled fish daily.

How is parking? Hard to find a spot, say on a Friday around 11:15 am?

There is street parking and a pay lot just about a block from there on Magazine Street. Street parking is just luck- be sure you pay for full time though because they love to give parking tickets in that area.

The food overall was outstanding, and it was a great spot to take out-of-town guests. To kick things off, we started with a dozen of their legendary Charbroiled Oysters. To be completely honest, we were a little disappointed with them this time. Normally, Drago's oysters are swimming in that famous, rich garlic-butter sauce, but this batch was not as juicy and lacked that extra sauce we are used to getting. They weren't completely dry, but definitely missing that signature butteriness. On the bright side, the rest of the meal was flawless! My sister-in-law ordered a bottle of Kendall-Jackson Vintner's Reserve Chardonnay for her, her friend, and me to share, which was beautifully chilled and paired perfectly with everything. For entrees, my husband and I both ordered the Boneless Beef Short Rib. It was incredibly tender--true melt-in-your-mouth perfection--served over creamy mashed potatoes with rich gravy and topped with fresh sautéed spinach. My sister-in-law got the Seafood Pasta, which was completely decadent with a rich cream sauce over angel hair and a very generous mound of sweet lump crabmeat right on top. Her friend ordered Mama Ruth's Seafood Gumbo and loved that authentic, deep New Orleans dark roux flavor. Our daughter went with the Filet Mignon, which was cooked perfectly and came with a massive plate of hot, crispy French fries that the whole table ended up happily snacking on. Despite the oysters being a bit of a letdown, the entrees, wine, and atmosphere made for a memorable night with family. We will definitely give them another try!

OMG!!!! This place was sooo freaking good!!! The seasoning and sauce was perfect for what we asked…read morefor. I came with a friend who had never had a seafood boil. I've never had crawfish and seeing it was crawfish season we were destined to be here. We built out our own seafood boil, which included, 1lb shrimp head off, 2 soft shell crab clusters, 1lb crawfish, corn, potato, and sausage. Let's just say we left with a pretty big leftovers box We ordered the hot house flavor and do not regret it one bit! Our server was so kind to show us how to peel and eat the crawfish and honestly it was so fun!! I will definitely be back next time in New Orleans!! One quick note I will say that I learned from a local that I wish I knew before this feast (And you should double check with staff if this info is correct). Most seafood boil places in the area when they have headless shrimp it is farmed and brought in from outside retailers where if you get head-on it's from local ships in the area/fresh caught. Apparently they've been struggling and if you want to support New Orleans local fisherman then go for the head-on shrimp. Again double check with staff if their head-on shrimp is local cuz I learned this information after visiting.

Ordered fried alligator bites and popcorn shrimp as appetizers...these alone were probably 4 stars…read morebut it went down hill after that. Took 30 min into the meal to receive the gumbo we ordered. Server would disappear for 20/30 min increments. As our meal we ordered snow crab slam - the shell was seasoned but meat was bland. Also tried the jumbo shrimp plate with fried rice, rice was very dry! Overall disappointing for 1st time in New Orleans. Ps. Restrooms were filthy!!!!
