They had to move the set downstairs with pristine white carpet and they were very respectful and cautious- which we appreciated since it was not our house. They also put on shoes cover. OH my, I'm so happy I found Pat! I texted at least 10 delivery services advertised on Craigslist, and only 3 responded. One was very rude and expensive, the second was affordable, but seemed sketchy and when I asked for ID, he said I should look elsewhere if I have trust issues. LOL! Finally, Pat. He was available, affordable, and really kept me in the loop the whole time. He constantly updated me on location, ETA, etc. WOW! When he got here, he was careful with my furniture (which was wrapped in moving blankets - thank you!) and took my old sofa to the dump. Had an opportunity to use P&j delivery service yesterday to transfer a piano that I bought from a private owner. I had a great experience overall... I found them on Craigslist and texted them for a quote yesterday morning and they responded right away. I let them know that I might have a job for them later in the day and they told me to just let them know when I was ready, not pushy at all. When I texted them again later in the day and let them know that I was ready with the transfer, they were very accommodating, was able to arrive the location in less than 1.5 hrs. They arrived on time, wrap my piano nicely and was very careful with the moving process. Then they helped to unpacked everything and everything was done in less than an hour!!! I needed to book a last minute company to move (what I was told) a thousand pound fireplace unit. Looked on Craigslist. Reviewed several companies. Received the quote and promptness I was looking for with Patrick's company. On top of this, I needed the right truck. Patrick's truck had the girth, length and power-lift gate to handle this unique transport. He also surprisingly came with two additional crew to handle the assignment. He kept me posted of his ETA and was right on time. Met me at the warehouse. Loaded the unit, beat me driving back home and finished unloading and dollying my unit at its destination within 10 minutes. No hitches, no delays, no nonsense. He is a straight-shooter. Job finished-up under what he quoted. Made my day. I would highly recommend his crew. Call them first. You'll save yourselves a lot of time and headache. 3/5/18 - I Had the guys come out again for another job. Again, they were easy to get a hold of, we agreed on a price and the guys were right on time for the PU. This time the pick-up was at a storage unit. I had a sectional couch that I needed transporting and moved to the second floor of my home. Since these sectionals were motor-recliners, they actually ended-up being quite heavy, on top of being rather wide. I crossed my fingers that they could get them through the front doorway. Based on their experience, they found a way. The biggest challenge, however, turned out to be lifting them up a half-turn stairway. The guys literally had to press these couches over their heads to maneuver them up the stairs. Trust, your husband could not do this. It was scary heavy. I have moved a few times in the past and have only used movers one time before this. And every move, nothing is broken afterwards. However, this move, I had 2 vases broken, 2 cups broken, 2 plates broken, and a piece off my bed broken. And after breaking down my bed and bringing it to the new place, they wouldn't put it back together for me - the last movers I had did. The movers who came to my house were nice, but complained and made comments the whole time they were moving things. I know moving is a pain, but if that's your job and you're getting paid to do it, keep those things to yourself. They also seemed rushed. Now I know that they want to move things fast, which I appreciate, but they almost seemed like they were in a hurry to get things done and move on to the next client or go home, whichever. And because of this, I think this is how my stuff got broken. They just seemed careless. Also, when I went to pay, I was told they only take cash, when they're website says they take credit cards, so I had to run to the bank and pull cash out. Again, not a huge deal, but not what I was planning on doing since they accept cards. They're cheaper than most movers I called on, and they get the job done, but I wouldn't recommend them to any of my friends. read more

Last weekend I was in a charity shop and I bought an old 1960s organ on a whim. After paying for it, I realized it would be impossible to get home without hiring a mover. I called the guy we usually use for this kind of thing and he told me he doesn't have the kind of equipment you would need to move a 200-pound organ. He referred me to P & J's Delivery Service. I called them and arranged for them to meet me at the shop the next day. My wife dropped me there but had to go back to work. The guys, Patrick and Nathan kindly agreed to let me ride back with them in their truck. They covered and wrapped the organ and moved it carefully on a dolly. Inside the truck they secured it with cords so it couldn't roll around. When we got back to my place they brought it in and put it where I wanted it. The whole thing took about half an hour and cost $140 which was a lot less than other quotes I had got. I'm very happy with the service and would use them again. read more

Just purchased our first family home and we're very excited so we had purchased be bedroom set! They came to deliver our bedroom set while my mother was home and I come home to find my brand new installed flooring now has multiple deep and un-removable scratches. When my mother told then about it, they said the scratches were already there. Not only that the furniture was broken and if my mother didn't point it out they would have left it there for us to deal with! Highly unprofessional, the apprentice was very polite but the one who seemed to be in charge was by no means professional. Do not recommend! If there was a zero star option we would be on it. If you're looking for someone to move your PRICELESS or high end furnishings, ask for Nate as the lead guy. You cannot find a more meticulous individual that will move your possessions as if it was his own. Speed, precision and professionalism is what you get.
