I have been going to PF Chang's FOREVER to focus on writing and work. I love sitting at the bar have a glass of wine and edamame beans. But today I go and they are out of 14 Hands Chardonnay. OK cool but the next glass is a bit more expensive so I ask if they can discount it a bit since they are out of what I want. Well, I am told "No, that is not the way it works". I explained that I have been coming in for years and yes it can work that way. The young lady was very unhelpful, would not ask if she could actually do it and still a HARD NO from her. I totally get that times have changed and I do not like to rant but the inability to be flexible when you as a business did not do your job and "order" what is on your menu (the bartender is the one that said this) then you should make an exception for your clients. I did not ask for it free (which I see people return food all of the time and get it for free). I just asked for a small discount. Makes me sad and I will not be back! read more

An Asian enjoying the Chang? Is it really blasphemous? Pshh Whatevs. I really had a great time here last night with the mother and sister. Sometimes it's nice to have some Asian food at a place with a clean bathroom. :) Why am I rating this particular place? Their service is pretty fast. They had us in and out in less than 40 mins. We had a movie to catch so we were rushing a bit. :) Their food can be a bit Americanized but it still tastes good so no complaints there. I adore their brown rice. It is always consistently AWESOME! Soft and fluffy. Omigosh .. nom nom nom Their stir fried noodles are great. Their veggie curry is just ok. Wow. Just wow. Just got back from my first experience at this P.F. Chang's location and I'm absolutely blown away. Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of Americanized Chinese food, but P.F. Chang's will always be an exception. Environment: Extremely clean location with an adequate parking lot. Can get filled on weekends or during peak hours. The place is pretty organized and has very unique, yet dim lighting. I really loved how clean the restaurant was. The tables weren't sticky and every mess was cleaned up immediately after the table left. Napkins were clean, plates were white and stainless. Plastic chopsticks are provided by the host, all individually wrapped (not your crappy wooden disposables!). Service: The service here had already left an amazing impression on me from the moment I walked into the restaurant. The waitress was extremely friendly and asked if it was our first time there. Kindly walked us to our table and we were greeted by our waitress in less than 3 minutes. Waitress acknowledged our visit and thanked us for coming in for the first time today. More than willing to explain the menu to us and share with us a few of her favorites. After a few minutes, the store owner (I believe, but not definite) came by and personally thanked my boyfriend and I for coming in to dine at P.F. Chang's. To follow up on this, he also gave us a thank you card that enclosed a friendly gesture: $10 gift card. Super friendly and quick service from every employee who came and interacted with us. Food: The great food followed the great service. I noticed that dishes here usually come with large spoons, so family style is encouraged. My boyfriend and I ordered the dinner for two. Started off with two soups: egg drop soup and hot/sour soup. I usually order egg drop soup from restaurants, but it didn't taste as good here. I felt that the soup had a bit of a chicken stock taste that was slightly sweet, which wasn't what I was used to at all. My boyfriend's hot and sour soup was really good though. Not too sour/salty to the point where it tasted like a bowl of MSG. Will be getting hot and sour soup on my next visit. We had the Chang's lettuce wraps for our small dish. Our waitress told us that they were created by P.F. Chang's and about 85% of all their customers will order the lettuce wraps. Out of all the places that I've had lettuce wraps, this place has the best, hands down. Tender pieces of chicken and crisp water chestnuts wrapped in ice cold lettuce. The mix is soy sauce based and lays on a top of some white stringy crunchies. Absolutely love the extra crunch thrown in from the water chestnuts. To follow up on the appetizer, we ordered the Moo Goo Gai Pan and the Mongolian Beef. Moo Goo was good, but not the best that I've had. I have to admit that they didn't skimp on the ingredients and the shrimp was beautifully butterflied and not overcooked. I was very impressed by the quality and the way it was cooked. But the Mongolian beef... my boyfriend ordered this and did his usual, "wow this is good". I didn't have a full grasp on it until I ate some myself. Amazing. Have never tasted a blend of flavors like that on meat that was so nicely cut against the grain. We decided that the next time we came back to P.F. Chang's, we would probably just order 2 plates of the Mongolian beef because it was absolutely amazing. These dishes come with your choice of white or brown rice (we chose white). Rice was low quality, but that didn't bother me because I don't each much rice anyway. We had the option to upgrade the basic dessert for $3.99. Great deal, but we were already stuffed from the main course. We just got the two raspberry chocolate wontons. Definitely a different flavor, and I honestly didn't enjoy it much. But it was very unique. Warm wonton filled with melted chocolate on a bed of raspberry. Overall, quality ingredients and service was top notch. Edamame was good but my plus one didn't like the spring rolls too much, so she picked out the chicken and ate that only. Entrees- We ordered the Crispy honey chicken and that was mouth watering delicious! Also ordered the shaking beef which was a little disappointing. Not what we were expecting at all because the beef was way too dry. These dishes are a hit or miss! So make sure you consult with the server and ask for their opinion. Dessert- Banana spring rolls is a must when coming upon this place! It's amazing! Banana wrapped in wonton paper and fried, comes with their Pina Colada ice cream and it is such a perfect combination! Seating: Booths are very comfy and spacious, as well as regular tables! If you eat at the Fort Worth location, I recommend you eating at the patio if it's not too hot because the breeze and swifts of cars just makes everything perfect. Environment: Kept squeaky clean! It's a good Chinese restaurant if you just feel like going to a nice clean one. My favorite is the hot & sour soup, it's cheaper if you buy the bowl and take the rest home. Chang's spicy chicken is recommended, not spicy as you think it is. Nicely battered with a sweet and spicy glazing on top. The Ooloong Sea Bass is a must order if you're a fish fan. Think slices of sea bass nicely baked with spinach layered on the bottom with a sauce. To top everything off is the Banana spring rolls for dessert. I love the coconut ice cream served with fresh berries and the fried banana in rice paper, very good. read more

This was my first time dining here and an overall great experience. I was treated to the chicken lettuce wraps on the house since it was my first time. For the appetizer I ordered the dynamite shrimp. They were excellent and I recommend everyone who goes to try them. I also ordered egg drop and hot & sour soups which were average. For the entrees, I tried the beef and broccoli and the honey glazed shrimp (I believe that was the name). I was stuffed by this time from the two appetizers and soup but tested the entrees out before getting them boxed to go. The were also VERY tasty. For dessert, which I didn't eat until the following day, I had the chocolate peanut butter crunch and the salted caramel cake. Both were great even the day after! All in all is was a good experience and plan to go back if for nothing else but the Dynamite Shrimp and chicken lettuce wraps! The only con which really isn't a big deal was that it was EXTREMELY cold inside. This could have been because it was near closing on a Sunday night. I had a carry out of the Singaporean Street Noodles. When I got home and opened the meal, the noodles were not fully-cooked. It was almost indigestible because they were hard. Yeah, I am a fan, but this visit...one critical error happened. Came on a busy Saturday night (3/14) and thank goodness for reservations. The wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we were both in the mood for our American Chinese fix. We had 9:00pm dinner reservations, and arrived at 8:40pm. Ordered a drink at the bar and within 5 minutes, our table was ready. We were seated at a two top and our waitress arrived, wishing us a happy anniversary. When I made the reservation, I put that in the notes, so that was a nice touch. Whenever I come to Changs, I always, 100% get the same thing. If it's not broken, no need to fix it. Well, because we arrived after a movie, and ate way to much popcorn, I did not order my usual, but we decided to do the dinner for two, for $39.95. Now, my wife and I have two different palates. She, nothing spicy, me hotter the better. So as we looked at the choices, I started with the hot and sour soup, and she had the egg drop soup. Both were great and we were enjoying our soup and then.....our lettuce wraps arrived. Now we are on a smaller table, finishing our soup, and starting our sharing of the lettuce wraps, when.... our two entrees arrived, with our sides of rice. I had the Kung Pao Shrimp, the wife had the Moo Goo Gai Pan, we were still finishing our other stuff and we were out of room. Dumped the rice on the entrees, and that created a bit more space. Our entrees were excellent, and we boxed up the rest to go. The widdle dessert wontons are very widdle. Take my advice, order a real dessert. The critical error, was we were celebrating our anniversary and with all of the dishes coming out at the same time, we felt so rushed. I hate feeling rushed, especially on a celebration. Writing my first review made me crave some Egg Drop Soup so we went back we of course got the dumping (we always get the pork but I think next time I'm going to get the shrimp), I also got the Egg Rolls wasn't a fan, They were to fat I prefer medium size Egg Rolls because of them being so big there wasn't enough wonton wrapper to veggie ratio (I'm big on ratio when it comes to my food) and the were supposed to be pork but I didn't notice any meat. I got the bowl (feeds 6) of Egg Drop Soup because it was why I was there. It was great as usual. I actually really like it here , it's only loosing a star because it is quite pricey. My favorite item here is the coconut pineapple ice cream and banana spring roll desert . I crave that ice cream out of nowhere . Their mojitos are also quite good . It is a little tight in there because the tables are closer together than usual but it's not that bad . This place was so awful. My husband and I came for lunch today and we ordered a handful of stuff to try them. Ordered chicken lettuce wraps, 2 spring rolls, wonton soup, and chicken fried rice. Lettuce wraps were ok. Dripping in grease but we were hungry. The spring rolls were egg rolls with vegetables inside it. I was expecting what i guess are also called "fresh spring rolls," the ones that are wrapped in spring roll wrappers (the clear ones?). The gentleman who brought our food (not the person who took our order-more on that later) had no clue when I mentioned the difference. Either way, they were tasteless. Wonton soup was sloppy. Tasted alright but the presentation was awful. It had about a cup's worth of what was supposed to be basil but I think it was just spinach because it was tasteless. Once I grabbed the chunk of greens I was able to get to the soup. The wontons were tasty but there were random chunks of meat in my bowl and it was just a really sad soup :( The chicken fried rice was so bad we had to send it back. :(( it was also tasteless and, although we had a gift card, I didn't feel like wasting 13 dollars on a huge mound of lame rice I would just toss at home and not even touch for left overs. We asked the waitress to give us lettuce wraps to go instead. Now to the waitress: I haven't met a more unenthusiastic waitress. Ever. Never smiled. Never made eye contact when she walked by, which made it challenging to get her help for better food. :( We eventually got the attention of anther waitress who flagged down our waitress who was completely unsympathetic and unapologetic for our poor experience. Needless to say, we will only get takeout and only to finish that gift card...and probably only for the wonton soup and I'll ask them to hold the garden. Don't spend your hard earned money here folks. I am.on the fence here. I love PF Changs but this location is very inconsistent. Some days it is so good I want to go back the next day, others, like last weekend it was awful. The food portions were off and smaller than normal. Our pad tai was missing chicken and was only tofu. This was 5pm on a Saturday, so no reason for it to suck so bad. Came here for lunch today - lots of parking and it's located in the Highlands where there's a lot to do! We were politely greeted, and I would rate the service here as excellent. I ordered the tuna takanti (not sure on the spelling) under the sushi menu, which was described as seared ahi-tuna with a seaweed salad. However, I was disappointed with my order. The tuna wasn't well seasoned and all I could taste was the spice from the peppers. I tried dipping it in the soy sauce but then that make it only spicy. The small seaweed salad was good though. Overall, I might come here again as the decor and service is great, but the order I got just didn't meet my expectations. read more

Today's review will actually be a 2 in 1 type of thing because my best friend Iris brought me to PF Chang's. For our appetizers, she ordered the Kung Pao sushi roll and i got Cecilia's Dumplings with shrimp. The sushi was very fresh, my dumplings came drenched in a chili oil that wasn't even spicy, i assume its more for decoration than flavor profile. The shrimp in the dumplings were very juicy and springy, the dumplings had a nice crisp on the bottom due to being pan-seared. For our main entree, she got the Crispy Honey Chicken Bowl with white rice. The chicken was cooked well, the rice was cooked well also, and the flavors worked well. I got the Chicken and Shrimp Pad Thai, it was amazing I would highly recommend. What a horrible experience! My daughter and I walked in on Sunday afternoon around 4:45 for an early dinner. The place was 85% empty but people were sitting and standing around waiting for a table. When the rude hostess finally spoke to me, she told us it would be about a 5-10 minute wait. I looked around the empty restaurant and back at her. She turned and walked away. We were finally seated after 7 minutes where we waited another 9 minutes for waitstaff to acknowledge our existence. My daughter went to the restroom where the rude hostess was leaning against the wall inside on her cell phone. When our order FINALLY got to our table it was wrong. Next time, I'll take the extra time to drive to FW to get decent service. What a poorly run establishment. read more

This was my first time at PF Changs. I've been to Pei Wei and was not impressed at all. I was told this place was good so we tried it. We came with a party of six on a sat night. The wait was not long, about 25 mins, and the bartender gave is free tea while we waited. Nice guy. The atmosphere was fancy and nice with dimmed lights and candles, very good dining ambience. Almost romantic. Our waitress Cara was talkative, informative, funny, and social. She had patience with the large and special orders and all the questions about the drinks and entrees and suggested good choices. She knew her menu and the food and drinks. She laughed and joked with us and built great rapport. Everyone got at least 1 mixed drink. I got a Moscow Mule. I tend to get mules everywhere and while this one was a bit strong, the slice of fresh ginger really was a nice touch. The suggested best seller, the Moscato and Grapes was the best thing I ever tasted. Get one. Most of us enjoyed our drinks. We got lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were really good. The vegetarian one had tofu but it was cooked and seasoned so well I swore it was chicken. I got the crispy honey chicken and it was wonderful. Reminded me of the breaded chicken style of Chinese I used to get back home. It was sticky sweet with a really nice crisp. Everyone was satisfied with our meals. The cooks did well and the seasoning and taste really sets this place apart from any other Chinese place in DFW. At one point our waitress spilled a whole drink on one of our party members. As it happen we all froze then laughed. She mentioned she could be clumsy and sure enough, but things like this happen. It wasn't a big deal and we all laughed about it. As we were finishing drinks they randomly came and served us two dessert wonton plates and a plate that said "I'm sorry" in raspberry sauce. (I attached a picture lol!)Really nice touch and a definite way to make up for an accident. Above and beyond service. The dessert wontons were freaking delicious btw. Overall the quality of service, the food presentation, the taste, and the atmosphere are all 5 stars across the board. Worst unorganized place ever! I went on my birthday and there were dirty dishes waiting at the table for us. I should have Ieft when I got the chance. I spoke with the manager and she just picked up the dirty dishes and said sorry. She then attempted to fix the problem with a miniature bottle of bubbly for two glasses. But,the problems just persisted with the waiter who behaved as if we were invisible after bringing the food. My dinner date was shocked when I went full Karen on them. I was ready to leave after waiting an entire hour just to get a table,which was suppose to be only 40 minutes. The waiter kept walking by our table like were invisible,yet again. Pissed me off!! We ate here tonight for dinner as a party of 5. Got there at 7 and was told it would be an hour to an hour and half wait. We waited an hour and I decided to ask if my name had been called by any chance. The hostess replied she's getting a tabled cleaned now. The table only seated 4 and provided 3 menus and a kids menu. Luckily my 6 year old was the 5th person and she is tiny so we pulled up a chair and shared that side of the table. 30 mins later I get a call and text that our actual table is ready lol Now we order the Chang's Spicy Chicken as a "family" platter. I asked the server if it was too much food for 2 people and he assured me it would be plenty and that we would have leftovers. So this $25 platter came out and barely had any food on it lol. So we finished it and ordered more food. After 30 minutes of not receiving the sushi roll we ordered, our server comes by and gives us the checks and asks if we could pay as soon as possible because they're shutting down the systems for 10 mins. We made sure our sushi was still coming before we paid and he said he doesn't know if it is because it's taking a long time but did not charge us for it. We paid and waited an additional 30 mins and were told that it was taking awhile and the server didn't know when it would be done because the chef had like four other rolls to make ahead of us. So we were about to leave and it finally came. The food is good (sushi not so much) but please order to go to avoid this awful service!! read more
