The wife and I went here on Friday night and really enjoyed ourselves. The drinks were great, the service was great, and the food was great... The Pot Stickers (Pan Fried) are to die for. The wonton soup was with pork dumplings, shrimp, chicken, mushrooms, spinach, and water chestnuts and hit the spot. The lettuce wraps were great. She loved her Kung Pao chicken. The only issue I had was my Orange Chicken dinner wasn't quite what I am use to for orange chicken. I know every place cooks the orange chicken differently, but most places are fairly consistent with heat and sauce, and this place didn't have any spice to the sauce, and the chicken wasn't breaded how I'm use to it. That's not a knock on it, because it was still good, and the wife loved it, especially the actual oranges that melted in your mouth, but orange chicken/beef is what I want when I do Chinese food, so I wasn't expecting it to be different in that manner. The food was not that good. Sushi rice is normally moist that it stays together. This rice was so damn dry. The serving person came and dropped on my table. The rice came off the Spicy Tuna roll. It's 8:30pm, would not accept us because our large group of 5 (yes five) would not be seated before closing at 10pm. Why? They were not busy but claimed a whole section not being used for "maintenance reasons"and the rest of the place was barely half full. Plenty of open tables mostly dirty and they were seating nobody? Covid relief $ related? Maybe they can't get enough people to work but had they said that instead of the rude excuse that they just are not seating people anywhere is unacceptable. Not one thing was terrible... But nothing was good. Staff seems to have given up. Trash on the floor that all wait staff and hostesses walked by for 30 mins. I finally picked it up and handed to the hostess, explained that everyone including her just kept walking by the trash (not just this) on the floor. Other diners got in the game and began asking their server to pick up the chopsticks, paper, fortune cookies. Our server was slow and unorganized. Kept telling us that it was 'no problem' that our food/drinks/service was slow and uninspired. Ask no multiple times for the beer ordered 10 mins earlier... Finally arrived. No apology... Instead he said to our muted 'thanks' ... 'no problem'. Really just sad... No value, no fun. On this night, it was a terrible dining experience. BTW: PF Chang's management... It's complicated... The food was OK. Not great but edible. It's a place to go to drop the name Monday morning at work about what you did over the weekend. It's a faux-high-end pedestrian quality Chinese restaurant that gives folks tickly tummies when they are offered valet parking and 90 minute waits among the beautiful people. That said my wife and her friends like it. :/ And when my sister found out we went she was all excited about our big night. Whatever. I love my wife and will gladly go here again for her. My neighbors love it too so the same goes. Salt and Pepper Calamari was too salty so the salt and pepper was wasted. Orange Peel prawns were mushy. Scallops were over sauced. I love PF Chang's. And I love it even more because it's the only Asian restaurant my "I-don't-eat-Asian-food-or-rice" husband will eat at with me! My favorite appetizers are the northern style ribs and the lettuce wraps, in that order. The ribs are dry and come with this yummy concoction of sugar, cinnamon, and other random spices that you sprinkle on before devouring. I don't like eating meat off of a bone, but I'll have me some of these. The lettuce wraps are cool and fresh, and all of the flavors with the lettuce mix together so well. Our go-to meal is the Mongolian Beef. Yes, Keri B.. I think they put crack in there. Order it with extra sauce so you don't run out. Top that delicious beef on some brown rice (or white rice if you're weird), and it makes for a heaven on a fork. We also get the Orange Peel Chicken, and while delicious, it pales in comparison to the Mongolian Beef I've also tried their wonton soup, which is pretty tasty, although I've had better soup elsewhere. The desserts are pretty good - my husband likes their ginormous Great Wall of Chocolate (cake), but it's sitting in raspberry sauce which I don't like. I just had a beer (draft Shiner, I believe), but I did order take-out for the light of my life. It was rather slow in coming out, but he didn't charge me for my beer, so I was happy! OK i love that they have a gluten free menu. I give them 4 stars for this. But they get two stars for their To Go service. It's HORRID, and not just one time, everytime. I guess I'm the idiot for continuing to order carryout from there, but I keep thinking a big company with a giant kitchen will get it down eventually. They've only been doing this for years. EVERY time, they get my order wrong, and it takes twice the time they quote over the phone, even with a small order. I want to give more stars for Tony, Eugene, and Chantal (sp?), these are the bartenders that we don't mind giving stars or 40% tips to... but not Pedro and this semi heavy blonde (we called her Dorothy, she never introduced herself, so)...My friends and I were excited to take a break for their Happy Hr, but after the rude service from Pedro (I am not kidding, this guy never smiled and he looked like he's being force to work there), we learned not to have our happy time when he's bartending. Now, that's pretty ridiculous, right? Evidently, he was working on a day that we thought we wouldn't run into him, well, we did! I couldn't shut my mouth anymore so I complained to the manager, a wonderful lady named Jessica!! She took care of us the entire evening and we paid her more than 40% tips but we learned that she doesn't get the tips, Pedro does and all the bartenders then split the tips! We also learned that they transferred Jessica to the PF Cheng down south of Austin, Urgh!! When my friends said let's give it a try once more, we got Eugene who greeted us, he was friendly and attentive. When he was busy making drinks, I asked Dorothy (who ever that semi heavy blonde was), to answer one quick question on the menu... omg, her response just had me boiling! She basically pointed her finger to Eugene and said she's busy cleaning the counter. I was less than 3 ft from her... I was so disgusted with her lack of appropriate customer service experience that I had to say something. I merely told her, "Your attitude is above and beyond inappropriate, this is not a way to treat your customers, we waited long time too to be seated at the bar, we came here to eat and enjoy ourselves and you managed to ruin it for us." I got take out from here recently and I've been a few times. Kung Pao Chicken. It's a little more chicken than Pei Wei, but it has nothing in it but chicken. So it's boring. Swordfish dish was great. MY BIGGEST ISSUE with this place and outside of the food, because it's decent, is the waiter will stand and watch what you are tipping him. Like literally stand right next to you while you sign off on the credit card receipt. I tip well for take-out. I tip 10%, although I see no differential in a cook putting it onto a plate or in a container, I still tip 10% to the waiter. However, if you're going to stand next to me to try to intimidate me for a tip, I'm giving you zero dude. I'm not playing that game. I hand it to him and he says nothing. Authentic Chinese...not so much...but there are a few things on the menu that are A-OK. It has been some time since I visited good old PF Chang's and its forever full parking lot...but the husband and I received t a gift certificate - and we decided tonight was the night to use it. I got a split of Mumm Napa Cuvée M for $9 - that's always a little joy for me. We got two appetizers - Northern Style Spare Ribs & Crab Wontons. Those were pretty tasty. 2 entrees - Mongolian Beef & Combination Lo Mein. Nothing outrageous with the entrees but satisfactory. The beef seemed to have perhaps a touch too much cornstarch in the making - because you could feel like the sauce had a residue/powder that coated your teeth a little bit. That's the only way I can think to explain it - sounds weird - but it's an ever so slight thing...that I don't notice in my preferred Asian food places. We also had the Banana Spring Rolls for dessert...the bananas part was kind of meh - but the coconut/pineapple ice cream, strawberries, and caramel sauce were yummy. Our service was quite cheerful and efficient. The price was fair for all we ordered/received, too. By no means on the top of my list - but this place definitely has its moments and merits. read more

I am surprised but I had never been to PF Chang's until I went to the one by work with some coworkers. Their service was prompt and friendly, but the place gave off a weird vibe. Here is my opinion for the food that I tried. Chicken Noodle Soup was delicious. Probably the best thing on the table. We ate 2 bowls of this alone. I did not care for the lime vinaigrette that comes with the salad but it was the complimentary side salad so I don't care about that. Beef and Broccoli was good but I didn't like the flavor of the sauce, I never pegged what was in it that I didn't like but it had a bit of a bitter after taste. Shrimp in Lobster sauce was the best entree by far. Shrimp was well cooked and not rubbery and the sauce tasted like a good thick sauce and not a butter sauce which is what generally happens with this dish. I would go again. read more

Reliably good Chinese food except on Christmas Eve. Ordered at 5:30 pm and website promised 7:15 pm pick up. Arrived at 7:15 to a ton of cars in line to pick up food (and otherwise pretty full lot), called restaurant and was told a to-go staff would be out shortly. Called again twice but no answer. At 8:15, I called and waited til Alexis answered. The kitchen hadn't even started cooking my order for my family of 4 and who knows when it will be ready. Ok, cool, cancel my order -- I can tell you guys are swamped. Just refund the charges (which they promptly did - thanks). All good, tho exhausted I waited in a parking lot for an hour plus for nothing. Arrive home and, at 8:45 pm, I get a call from a to-go person whose got my order in hand but can't find me in the lot. Yikes, you guys! Such disorganization... you guys must be really exhausted. I hope your corporate folks will get you booking/online ordering systems that sync up with what you can actually deliver. New tradition at our house: we'll be picking up BBQ or a dinner from Central Market to have on hand to heat up on Christmas Eve. read more

You gotta hand it to PF, whoever that is. They've managed to take what is notoriously un-chainable (American Chinese food) and chained it up! What's even more impressive is that while it won't win any awards for culinary originality, the food is consistently good no matter which one you visit. At least this has been my experience. We generally only eat here once a year - on Christmas Eve. It's been our family tradition for many years and PF Chang's never disappoints, even on what has become a very busy restaurant night (when we started years ago, eating out on Christmas Eve didn't seem to be as popular). For an appetizer, I recommend the Salt & Pepper Calamari. Sure it's salty and peppery, but they're on the side so you can make it how you like it and when you're done and nobody's looking you can lick your finger and go for some high-octane salty goodness. Shhh! I must say that I'm a hot & sour soup fiend. I know it's not authentic, but who cares. When done properly, i.e. it's both hot AND sour, it's hard to beat. The problem is that most American Chinese places make neither HOT nor SOUR hot & sour soup. Chang's does it right enough, although I admit I add some of their pepper sauce to give it a bit more kick. Sides? Let's face it. We only order those so it looks like we're TRYING to eat healthy. I've never had anything bad, but then again, I'm not walking into PF Chang's thinking to myself, "Oh man if I don't get some Spicy Green Beans in my belly right now there's going to be trouble!" Meats. This is why we go to American Chinese restaurants - because we want our meats tender, juicy, possibly fried and slathered with vibrantly colored corn starchy sauces. If that's not for you, enjoy your Spicy Green Beans. Try the Orange Peel Chicken and the Crispy Honey Chicken if you like your chicken on the sweet side. The VIP Duck is good, but if you've had real Peking/Cantonese duck before it will seem lacking. If you're a beef fanatic, then the Mongolian Beef is for you - no questions asked. This year they've added some desert shots to their menu. At first, I though, "EEeeeewww... how very Applebee's!" But we tried 'em out and it was good ending - some really potent sweet flavors, but not too much. After all, I'm not going to PF's for the desert! Nice touch. So you really can't go wrong here if you're looking for an upscale Chinese meal. If you're just looking for a cheap pig-out spot, look to a buffet, this is not for you. Extra kudo's to the folks at PF Chang's corporate. Not many restaurants can be replicated nationwide and maintain this level of quality and service OVERALL. read more

PF Changs is pretty good normally, although not real Chinese food. Today the Chang's combination fried rice was dry and kinda bland. It is usually more flavorful and smells of ginger and soy. Today, not so much. The different pork, beef and shrimp was cooked well, but it just lacked some flavor. The crispy honey chicken was good! I love the sweet and tart flavor, with the smooth texture of the sauce and the crisp chicken. I still like PF Changs, when you need a place when you know what to expect, are with picky eaters or just want some really Americanized Chinese food. read more

I went back to PF Chang's after two years. My sister in law, mother in law and daughter acccompanied me for dinner. Since it was April 15th, tax day, we automatically received a 15% discount (excluding happy hour specials). I ordered the mongolian beef, my SIL ordered the orange peel chicken with noodles (extra $2 for noodles) and my MIL had the chicken fried rice. I got my daughter the child's portion of chicken fried rice and it comes w/out veggies. At the end of dinner, my SIL ordered the chocolate cake. I have to say that everything was pretty tasty. The service was a little slow, but even that wasn't horrible. The chocolate cake seemed to have six layers and was just delicious! My tab for 1 adult entree and a child's plate, with water to drink came out to be close to $20 including the 15% discount. Will I go back...yep. I ate here last week with coworkers, I had never been to a PF Changs outside of the Seattle area until now. The decor is nice and the service was quite good. Really my only gripe is the menu seems to have been trimmed way back and doesn't offer as much selection as it once did - especially the lunch menu. Those items that are left are super Americanized - so of course I had to get the over ordered sweet&sour chicken which was pretty decent but the portion size was on the small side. Great Chinese places in Austin are few and far between, while this is a decent lunch spot for business people I don't think i'd go out of my way to frequent this place. I recall really liking the Bellevue, WA PFC, not sure why I can't explain it but I just didn't have the same experience here for some reason. Pork and Pineapple - the meat was awesome the pineapple was a little lacking. Needed bigger chunks. Overall a solid dish to go with. Sangria - the drink of the hour. We opted to go to this place last night. We get there and there was a 45 minute wait. It was almost 8:30pm. I had to laugh because in the parking lot, they had a valet parking. Are you really that lazy that you cant walk across the parking lot to your car? The lot really is not that big. We did not have to wait very long as the buzzer they gave us went off and we were immediately seated. We opted for the "two can dine". The service was amazing. It was pretty much the best we have ever had. Servers were very attentive. I was amazed at how fast our food came out. We were barely half way done with our lettuce wraps when they brought our soup and then finally our entrees. The food is really good. It is a tad bit over priced for Chinese food. They make up for it in the service. The spicy beef I had order was way spicy. The server brought me milk, which she did not have to do. I do not usually drink whole milk. When she brought dessert, she brought me vanilla ice cream at no charge, which was a nice touch. When we were ready to go. The server bagged up our food and even wrote what it was on the container. I really enjoy the vegetarian lettuce wraps, green tea noodles and the blackberry jasmine iced tea. Their Crispy Honey Shrimp is also very good but too pricey for me. They are kind enough to make a Mu Shu Tofu with the same kind of firm tofu that they use in the lettuce wraps. The Great Wall of Chocolate Cake is excellent and they have little shot glasses of many desserts, I like the Cheesecake one. read more

I had lunch here on 12/10/15 and I must say that everything I ordered, including the service, was great. I had the chicken lettuce wraps as an appetizer and they were wonderful. Next I ordered off their "new" menu and chose the Sichuan Chili Garlic Chicken. WOW was it tasty. The spices and flavors tingled in your mouth. Beware that this is a large plate, so it's perfect for sharing, which I did. My server, Jessica, was attentive, courteous and polite. Couldn't have been better. PF's is consistently great. I'll preface this review with what I believe the two primary jobs of the server are. First it is to listen second is to inform. So to that my sever failed misserably. We came in, surprising there was not a wait despite the parking lot being packed. So we get our table. Server is already rather cold. We order our food. I explicitly start my order asking for coke. After my girlfriend orders. So she comes back with a drink for her and water for me. Asking us for our order I again state clearly before my entree order that I want a coke then ten or so minutes later after two groups that came before us received their food. That is when our food arrived and surprise no coke again. Now sure it is just a coke but it is that fact that she didn't even bother to clarify what drink I would want. She just gave me a water and flat out ignored me or she simply is not a good listener which then being a server is not the job for you. The food was also mediocre compared to past experiences at PF Chang's. There are plenty of Asian resteraunts out here. I would suggest you try someplace else. read more

Talk about delicious. Yes I know this is a chain, and yes I know some people say that their food isn't ~authentic~ but the food is just too good. To start we got the pan fried pork dumplings which has an amazing sauce on it. They also had a promotional deal going on where you buy one entree get one free-talk about a deal. We got the kung pao chicken and the Mongolian beef, both were superb! Lastly the service was great. Zane was very attentive to us- always refilling our waters and checking up on us. We eat a P.F. Chang's every so often for the take out. But the other night we stopped to dine in. We were seated quickly and the staff was friendly and efficient. My friend and I ordered the egg-rolls which were hot and wonderful. I had the Crispy Honey Chicken. The sweet chicken with the spicy mustard and rice noodles is really fun to eat. My friend ordered the Sesame Chicken done the old way (It's spicier). The meal were delicious and timely. All in all a great place to stop in when you just want to relax and eat. read more

I came here for the first time on Sunday night with my girlfriend and our 4 children. We were pretty ready to sit down and have a glass of wine, but the place was packed and there was a long wait. We went to the bar and tried to get the attention of a bartender, but when the manager saw us, he knew exactly how to make two exhausted moms happy. We had a glass of wine immediately and were sitting in a booth in no time. The food was fantastic that was for sure, but the way the manager treated us, there are no words to describe how happy, grateful, at ease...?? I came here for lunch for my 21st birthday last year and it was amazing!!!! It was the 2nd time I'd ever been. The best part was the service. We had a male server, who paid for all my drinks and our desserts!!! If you go here you must try the KEY LIME MARTINI!!!!!! Its rimmed with graham cracker crust!!!!
