So much so, that I had it again, both in Myrtle Beach (SC) and Atlantic City (NJ)! (I asked for lighter garlic, after the first visit - wow do they go heavy on it!). As this was not part of the regular menu, the waitress should have brought over the special menu. She did not when we were seated. I had to ask her what about the special and she said oh let me get that for you. I ordered a Cosmo and while it was tasty, it was served without a garnishment. They should've done better for a $15 cocktail. When our soup arrived, it was barely warm and had to be sent back. The waitress apologized and returned five minutes later with two hot soups, and then the appetizer arrived with no time in between. But the time the appetizer came out, our entrées followed almost immediately. This timing and spacing of our meal was awful. The waitress blamed the soup having to be returned as the reason. Came here in the middle of the week around 8 PM. There were a fair amount of patrons in the restaurant, but was seated almost immediately. Ordered the dynamite shrimp and the fire braised short ribs with pineapple fried rice. Shrimp was crunchy, and the spicy sauce was a nice accompaniment. I was pleasantly surprised that the short ribs were actually tender and juicy. Pineapple fried rice was cooked well- just needed a bit more flavor IMO. Our waitress was absolutely wonderful. She came to our table at just the right times, and the right amount of times. She was pleasant and energetic. In a time where customer service is lacking in restaurants dues to shortages, this was a pleasant surprise. I will be back! read more

ALL the food we had recently was so heavily sugared that we left portions on our plates. It was dessert-sweet, like corn syrup was used for the sauces. Ick. The service was very good. Can't say anything else in this P.F. Chang's favor. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Just one more thing about the ambiance. There used to be a beautiful mural over the bar of a Chinese-style painting of running horses. It is, at present, some sort of kung fu movie poster of a woman waving a sword. The restaurant was almost empty, only about 3 tables sitting down and the floor was absolutely disgusting- super dirty with food everywhere. We sat down and the waiter took forever to come, to the point we were about to leave. It seems like she was the only one working. We ordered appetizers, shrimp fried rice, which was super greasy and the shrimp tasted weird, and honey chicken that was in huge chunks (unnecessarily big). Went here for my girlfriends birthday dinner and it was delicious! I made a reservation online and we got seated right away. I even got a text when my table was ready. We were going out after, so we didn't get any drinks or dessert. We decided to split the crispy green beans. My friend recommended them since I had never tried them. Delicious!! I'm not sure what the sauce is but it was perfect with them and we finished the whole thing so fast! My entree was the ginger chicken and broccoli and I got no rice in the side. It was a big portion and delicious! I have gotten it before for takeout and it was even better in person! Lots of flavor! Only issue is I wish some of the pieces of broccoli were smaller! My friend said the chicken fried rice was smaller than she remembered but still good. I got to try it and it was yummy! I don't normally go to chain restaurants, but we ended up at P F Chang's at 5:30 pm on a Saturday night. Almost an hour wait for a table but you can call ahead and get on the list. I also had been boycotting P F Chang's ever since I spilled my lettuce wrap on my shirt and tie at the airport, but that's another story. Two things stand out about the evening - First was the meal. I'm on this stupid diet so I was looking for low calorie stuff. Chang's has the calories right on the menu, which is nice. I got the pepper steak, and it was surprisingly good! Low in calories but big peppery flavor. Went well with the Lo mein noodles. Pinot Grigio went down well too. We also had an outstanding waitress (Alexis). It was a super busy night and she was always around doing a great job. Looked like she had quite a few tables too. Friendly, and had everything under control. So I'll end my boycott and make an exception to the 'no chain restaurant' rule because I liked that pepper steak so much. read more

Sat at the bar while we waited and basically was ignored and they weren't even that busy. I gave two stars for the friendliness of our waitress only. I hardly remembered what I ordered here because the food was just meh. Once upon a time I really enjoyed this chain of restaurants but it has since gone downhill. We came in to grab a bite before heading to Atlantic City. It was about 9pm and they were still seating. We were seated at one of those long benches with the two separate tables. The shrimp were good, the miso salmon was ok but the fried rice had a nasty aftertaste like they added too much white pepper or something. The crab wontons were also flavorless. It doesn't even seem like it's real crabmeat in them anymore. I don't know if they changed the recipe but it literally tastes like unseasoned minced fish in there. Also because we both ordered fried rice with our meal they brought us a big container of it to share. So much so it was a lot left over. My husband had it boxed up and once we got to our destination we both came to the conclusion neither one of us even wanted it. He thought I did so he asked for it to be boxed up, I thought he did so I just let him get it boxed up lol! We don't like waisting food but it was just that nasty that neither one of us wanted it. Should have read reviews before going here because the negative ones were very accurate. We haven't eaten here in years and now I know why. You can get much better quality and way more appetizing food from your little local Chinese restaurant. As soon as we sat down the table looked & smelled dirty. The heat was blasting over our head with some weird overpowering incense scent that was giving me an instant migraine! Our waitress was abysmal, she rarely came to table, service was slow as heck, runners were miserable and rude and to top it all off the food was meh!! The meat was dry and hard to chew & every single thing we ordered had the same, weird bbq type flavor, nothing tasted like an asian dish AT ALL. We won't be returning to PF Changs ever again. Clearly this restaurant is going through changes. The pan fried dumplings were displayed differently. They are now in a bowl sitting in a sauce. Mine were also cold as well. The Brussel Sprouts were not cooked all the way through and had large stems not removed. Portions also appeared smaller. The Pad Thai was very good as always. The dessert was embarrassing, it was a small round of key lime mousse. I think they called it pie. The prices get higher and portions get smaller. I had a reservation for dinner and despite that, I still had to wait quite a bit of time to be seated. I'm not sure how other waiters/waitresses are but our waitress was not pleasant. It was like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. We were nice and knew exactly what we wanted to order so we wanted to make her job a bit easier by getting straight to the point. Every time she came by to "check in" on us, it felt as if she didn't want us there. I understand it's a busy night but her attitude made the experience bad. We ordered fried rice with our entrees. Crispy honey shrimp was decent. Pepper steak was EXTREMELY salty. I felt nauseous after eating the salty steak. We asked for white rice to counter the salty steak but the waitress forgot. Would not recommend coming here for overpriced salt. You can find better Chinese food that is much cheaper and worth your money in Chinatown across the bridge to Philly. This place is outstanding! It's 2-23-24 You all have 2 weeks to try the crab and pork belly rice dish before it is taken off the menu! I also recommend getting the ribs appetizer with barbecue sauce on the side, then drizzle that over the rice with pork belly side of your dish when your entrée comes! You're welcome! This place sucks. Bartender is lazy. Sat at bar next to stall and heard nothing bu complaining from wait staff about management. Passive aggressive comments when I asked them to clean the dirty ass bar that I was sitting at...for at least 10 minutes. Food was average at best.
