After this place took over Max's (or something like that), we figured it would be a great place to try out. I came here right after a surgery, so I didn't figure I would eat much. I changed my mind when I saw the various options on the menu. They ranged from bowls to tacos to sushi to even burgers (Mostly Asian Fusion). When we got our food, it was beautifully presented and was super delicious! Favorites are the Rainbow roll and Japanese Wasabi Ahi Bowl. Our server was extremely nice and thoughtful, and even gave some recommendations based on my surgical condition. Ambience was great. The lighting was good too. last year around summer time 2022 I took my boys to eat here. I shouldn't have tipped so much. A particular waiter looks like in his late 50s to 60's, a very high receded hairline, tall, 6' to 6' 2" Caucasian male did attend to us after he took the bill from us . I tipped 20% and that was because I thought it was for that young man or young gal who was great, but I think either they got off work or maybe on break, then the lazy old guy didn't service us. No one came to bring us ice water. tipping is not a given option. It should be earned. read more

For an avid seafood lover this place is amazing ! The ambiance and interior is decorated so nicely and artsy. The staff was super sweet and accommodating. And the food was absolutely delicious and beautiful. I ordered the seared guajillo shrimp bowl. The corn it came with was quite a surprise, bursting with flavor. The seasoning and sauce on the shrimp also caught me off guard with how flavorful and yummy it was. The portion size was really big. I also tried some of the chicken sandwich which had so much sauce and flavor. It was also my birthday for which I was given a free brownie sundae that came with vanilla ice cream and a rich, fudgy brownie garnished with coconut and macadamia nuts. We had the best pina colada , started with a round then some.. we tried the sampler of ceviche of salmon , sea bass and tuna ! YUmmy.. plus the dip is to die for! . Before that, try the guacamole and chips as the perfect starter. The waiters were extra attentive and knowledgeable. We just felt like home. Around 4pm... we decided to stay for dinner! Perfect decision- the best pacific catch of the day 1. Sea bass on Hawaiian sea salt ! Grilled just the way it should be , the taste of the fish was just magnificent on top of sushi rice. My girlfriend had tears coz it just tasted the way her father grilled fish back home. 2. I had the Kona kampachi which is the juiciest yellow tail ever ... grilled lightly with sea salt ! Congratulations to the chef.. this will definitely bring us back. It's 3!hours later and nobody asked us to leave even with people coming in, so we ordered more margaritas. Congratulations to the bartender! Wow! I knew they were giving me a complimentary birthday dessert which our waitstaff Oliver reminded me , but as of this writing , we weren't ready for dessert. Great place for some seafood! I came by on a Friday night around 5:30 for dinner with my boyfriend. It wasn't too busy, but there were a good amount of people there. I made a reservation on their website a few days in advance and was able to choose from indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to dine outdoors and was promptly seated after I checked in. We were seated right next to the water feature by the front of the restaurant. It was an interesting place to be seated since it was close to the sidewalk where people were walking to and from other stores and shops, but still felt safe for the most part. Our server, Oliver, was such a gem and so sweet and nice. He was very attentive throughout the night and really made my day with his happiness and kindness. I got the guaca-poké as an appetizer and the fish was very fresh. There wasn't any stringiness or super fishy flavor, and it was seasoned well. I ordered the 3 taco platter, and chose the hot fish taco, traditional baja taco, and cabo shrimp taco with sweet potato fries. My favorite of the three was the hot fish taco. It had really good flavor and spice. The other two were more classic tasting, which were good, but I thought the hot fish really stole the show. The sweet potato fries also were cooked perfectly. My boyfriend got the sea bass with sea salt which came with a side of miso broccolini and seasoned fries. This is for PC Management: 1. Your reservation system through Open Table sucks. It automatically tries to seat you in the Bar area. In order to try and get in the regular seating area you have to switch up the settings. Most people are not gonna make a reservation in the bar area. 2. It really sucks for the regulars that like those nice seats by the patio fireplace that now you have to book through yumpingo to get a great seat. That is ridiculous and I would never pay extra $$$ just to book through another app to guarantee a seat? We were there for most of the dinner timeline and that table was empty. Bravo. 3. You need to get more fresh fish in here. All they had tonight was Black cod. That is a local fish that anyone can catch off the Santa Cruz wharf. What happened to the Mahi Mahi, Opah and other great Hawaiin fish you used to have? 4. Answer the phone. I had to call multiple times during non peak times to talk to a human. All I wanted to do was make sure we weren't going to be seated in the bar. And to see what was the local daily fish like you had 3 years ago. J So I get it. Times are hard yadda yadda but when I want to go out for some fresh fish I won't be coming here until I call first to see at least what fish they have in house. This place was empty at dinner time albeit was a Monday night. I'm hoping management looks at this and makes some changes otherwise I would hate to see this place go. Quarantine Eats #56: Also got takeout here last Saturday for lunch, and was impressed by the food! The pickup process was smooth and easy, and the employees at the front were all wearing masks. The Korean burger was juicy and sweet, with the sunny-side egg adding a creamy element to it. The fries were also well salted. The luau special bowl (on the Winter comfort food menu) contained chicken katsu which was breaded and fried beautifully and authentically, and the sushi rice complimented it well. However, the katsu sauce tasted just like teriyaki sauce and was overly sweet. However, I am still looking forward to trying out their seafood dishes in the future! **Update 12/16/20** I returned here as predicted to give their seafood items a go, and it was well worth it! The seafood tacos that I ordered (Traditional baja (crispy alaskan cod), Guajillo shrimp, and Grilled sea bass) were packed with flavor, with the guajillo shrimp and grilled sea bass tacos bringing a strong punch of heat. The traditional baja had a pungent taste with the jalapeno tartar sauce, which complemented the crispy breading of the cod really well. In addition, the chips and salsa and the selected side (miso salad) helped to tone down some of the welcoming spices within the tacos. The California style salmon burger was also delicious, with the fish being flaky but not dry. Finally, the mixed catch platter was filled with crispy calamari, thai coconut shrimp, and Alaskan cod, pairing well with the jalapeno tartar sauce. However, the fries which came with the seafood were really excessively salty. Other than that though, this restaurant certainly warrants a visit for anyone who enjoys seafood or just wants to dine healthier! read more

The one in Santa Clara is suited well in an Irvine-like setting. Believe it or not, the entire setting was developed by the Irvine Company and highlighted in Southern California style, palm trees, glass buildings submerged in the blue sky. They just introduced a new menu with very interesting items. We ordered most from the new menu and enjoyed the food in the wonderful outdoor seating. It is a place we would recommend for family/friends gatherings. read more

I wouldn't come here again, I ordered the Sea bass ceviche and was honestly disappointed. I received a spoonful of the ceviche with an entire plate of tortilla chips. If you get this plate expect to get full from the tortilla chips. The service was just so bad we had to flag the servers down every time we needed something (like a drink?) lol. No water was offered we needed to ask for it, we had to flag a server down to take our order, we had to flag the server down to ask for additional requests (I asked for cholula never got it). The portions are small, the food is mediocre, the hospitality sucks- needless to say I won't be back here. Waste of money and time. I really wish I could show how lacking the service was. read more

The Poke Trio Chirashi was the worst I have ever eaten. with sloppy presentation. Fish was not very fresh. Multiple order of Korean BBQ, the ribs were dry & Hawaiian Teriyaki chicken was not very good & dry. The mixed catch was at best ok, & they were out of the calamari. Dined at P.C. on Friday 12/4 for lunch and got a really bad food poisoning from the chicken katsu sandwich. The symptoms of stomach cramp showed up shortly after we ate our meal and then I got violently sick until midnight. My friend whom I shared the food with also got sick. The reason we know it was that sandwich in particular is that we had others in the group that did not get sick, only the 2 of us that shared that sandwich. I called the restaurant the same night and notified the manager, he just said we haven't had any other calls and that sorry you got sick! Needless to say we are never going back! read more

The hot fish tacos here are good but the service and order accuracy has been an absolute disaster. On previous order I purchased the two fish taco plate which comes with a side, and selected the miso side salad. Got home and no side salad. Ok, understand things get busy and sometimes things get mixed up or missed. On the very next order I ordered the exact same meal and when we arrived for pickup we told the staff the salad was missing last time. The staff didn't apologize or offer to make things right. Ok, no big deal, but we specifically asked them to double check that the side salad was included as everything is sealed. They responded that it was indeed packed and yet when arriving at home it was once again missing! This was the second time in a row! Even if the food is good Pacific Catch needs to provide accuracy on what is ordered, and the staff clearly didn't even care enough to ensure that the order was right even when told about the issues, and specifically asked on the subsequent order. At this point I've been ripped off two times! Maybe the the "Catch" is you literally have to open up every container in your order on-site to double check it during pickup! read more

The place has both outdoor and indoor dining. We sat indoor; the environment is nice and comfortable. The server is friendly and did check in with us couple time throughout our dining time there. The food is good overall, but nothing really outstanding or memorable. We order the following: 1.) Special Platter - This platter has mix of all kind of appetizers, such as Satay, Coconut Shrimp, Short Back Ribs, and Ceviche (Ahi Tuna). The food is already cold when it serve to us, so it lose some taste there. The Ceviche itself is good and fresh with some spicy kick to it, but the chip serve with it is not good at all (oily and not crispy). The taste and texture of Satay is average, nothing standout and it is already cold when they are served. The Coconut Shrimp and Ribs are both average too. 2.) Striped Sea Bass Fresh Catch - You can pick any fish out of 3 different choices you have. Then you get to pick a sauce to go with the fish and a side dish of your choice. The sea bass is fresh and well cooked. The Asian Herb sauce we picked is on the acidic side, but it pretty much has no other taste beside some sourness to it. We pick cauliflower as the side, but it end up with way too many veggies for the dish overall. The Asian Herb sauce come with Thai Brussels, which has 1/3 plate portion of it, then the cauliflower take up another 1/3 portion of the plate. So I would recommend to order a carbohydrates side dish if you will pick that sauce. The Brussels is on the sweet side, but the sweetness is only on the outside, so the sweetness is not too overpowering. The cauliflower is a mixed of Thai and Indian flavor with has bit of sour and coconut taste to it while has a distinct Indian herb taste to it. Both veggies are good. 3.) Lobster Roll - This is the best out of the 3 dishes. The portion of the lobster is very generous and it is fresh. It does not has strong taste to it, so doesn't overpowering the fresh lobster taste itself. The bread outside is good too. The bread is soft and buttery which goes well with the lobster itself. You can add $3 to add fries or miso salad. We order the miso salad; it is light and refreshing. Overall this dish is good and I would recommend it. read more

I noticed Pacific Catch has a Wagyu burger. So I decided to try it. It is good, but second to the Wagyu burger from Montana Ale Works in Bozeman, Montana. Pacific Catch has a patio with heaters, but it was too cold on Saturday night to sit outside. The burger came with fries and cole slaw. My husband ordered cod and chips. That is the star of Pacific Catch. The cod is flaky and the inside tender. I will be back tonight for takeout.. As it was my first time there, I intend to try other tantalizing entrees! read more

Just got the soggiest mess of tacos i've ever recieved. I picked up my order according to the approximated time. I didn't receive a pick up confirmation text so I have no clue if it was ready earlier. But this soggy mess deserves to go into the trash. I can't even pick it up to eat it. I was contacted by management with their sincerest apologies and they have consequently implemented new trainings for their servers. I went in for a second visit and the service was definitely more professional, attentive, and pleasant. I forget my server's name, but he was tan and had short hair. I'm glad that they're taking training their employees more seriously and their effort definitely shows. I'll be coming back to take my father here for dinner sometime soon.
