We have used pacific termite twice now. Once, about 15 years ago, to check the house after finding a small group of termites while replacing a window. Then again last week, when we found a pile of droppings near our wood stairs. Both times they came out quickly, evaluated the situation, and gave us options on how to best address the situation. It didn't work out for various reasons from: inability to simply schedule appropriately, to offering impractical solutions (one suggested drilling rows of holes in my ceiling..) Of my entire experience of hiring people for work I have not encountered such intense greed if it should even be called that. What I experienced from this company is nothing short of a scam. I am not reviewing their work, only their inspection and quote of the work plan. It's very near the holidays and they may feel that termite is scary and people don't have time shop around. Well I'm the type that if the price feels right and company seems professional I sometimes do not ask for multiple quotes elsewhere. Even with no knowledge of what it takes for this type of job I knew the price they quoted was beyond wild. I expressed my reaction in which they asked if I want them to ask the owner for a discount. Red flag! If you are doing honest business you will have a set price. I called another company with also great reviews and similar presence here on yelp. I was shocked that with the same exact job (spot treating termite sites around the house and repairing all damaged wood plus prime and paint) they quoted me a price about 1/5 of this company. I literally saved more than 14k by not going with this one. This company wanted to charge me $15,800 just to patch up the small wood areas for 3-4 spots outside the home which was the most absurd part of all. Do yourself a favor and don't have this company be your only quote. I'm so glad I put out the extra effort for a second quote and the other company I'm going with is even more professional than this one. Response to her reply: I might have used the wrong vocabulary which became a loophole for this snake of a company to manipulate the meaning of my review. Here is to clarify. Both companies came out to inspect and promised to replaced wood, and make new anything that have issues. Because not a whole chunk of the building has to be removed but just pieces of the wood (which both companies clearly stated) that's why I used the term "patch." Both companies spent as much time to look for termites problems spots. Not only the quoting on the cosmetics part of the job vastly contrast but also the portion of the plan for injecting treatment to the termite site was only 1/3 of the price. (For both companies, these two jobs are broken down as two separate costs). The other company in no ways is inferior to yours as your response insinuate. In fact they have better reviews with no one mentioning high and ridiculous prices. "We told homeowner this would take about a week." NO such thing was said to us. Ever. This is my first ever review calling out a service company for pricings. Most of my other reviews are not one stars. read more

We received several estimates for dealing with termites at our new historic home. Tenting is not an option as it would severely damage our tile roof. They had a competitive price, and were able to schedule this quickly. Their estimate was more detailed and thorough than the other estimates. Pacific Termite did an excellent job treating for termites all over the house. They were able to crawl under the house and treat when the other company required that we hire contractors to make a larger crawl space. They were very considerate and matched the flooring where they repaired holes. The crew was very nice and professional. We will definitely call them again for repeat treatments in the future. Our house (built in the 1950s) and was in dire need of wood repairs. In fact, "wood repairs" is an understatement of the project we hired Pacific Termite for--they basically completely rebuilt our 2 back decks from scratch because all of the wood was old and damaged, as well as some other structural wooden elements around the exterior of the house.
