The service is excellent and the staff is courteous. The only drawback is the food which was average at best. Plating and presentation was great. Flavor did not match the atmosphere, location, or view. Brunch is far from traditional. No buffet, salad bar or protein carving stations. You order appetizers and entrees off of a menu like and other visit. Only brush of brunch is a pastry and fruit bar. Desserts were wonderful. I was disappointed I did not receive a brunch experience. The restaurant is soo beautiful inside and has a gorgeous and large pond with fish inside. If you get a table near the window you get a really pretty view of the marina! I also love the fact that there was a live pianist who sang while we ate, she was fantastic! I wish we could have stayed and listened to her more. We ordered the crab dip, calamari, lobster bisque, and shared a sea bass. The crab dip was so good! It had soo much crab and we loved how creamy it was. Definitely would order it again. The calamari was interesting and unique, but not something I'd probably order again. There were a lot of peppers and onions, and I would have preferred more squid. The lobster bisque was super rich and creamy which I loved and had really good chunks of lobster. Definitely one of my favorite lobster bisques I have had! Last, we split the sea bass which came with risotto. This was such a tasty dish! The fish was cooked beautifully with a nice crispy char. And the risotto was well cooked as well. The service was really great because they halved the dish without us having to ask! We were expecting to half it ourselves, but they brought out the dish already halved on two plates. I have always loved this restaurant for its food and ambience. I've only had good memories of great fish dishes, cooked and seasoned to perfection. I remember the price is being on the higher end, but always felt it was worth the meal. The last time I went to Palisade was probably three years ago. Unfortunately yesterday was not the case. I ordered the black cod. My boyfriend ordered the halibut and my dad ordered the miso salmon. First the plating was shockingly un appetizing. It was messy. It looked like a plate of food that I gathered from a buffet I expected a pan seared piece of fish seasoned through, but my fish was bland, although it was cooked well. The plate of lobster risotto was just mushy with no flavor. My boyfriend's halibut also came out with no skin just a fillet of fish meat under seasoned. The miso salmon was plated nicely, but had no flavor. The best dish was the crab and shrimp bucatini. Crabcake appetizer was cold in the middle. Service was good, but very choppy. I personally was very disappointed and don't think I will be back. :( read more

We drove all the way to Seattle for a Christmas Eve dinner only to be disappointed. The food here was great the last visit we had, but this time we ordered the prime rib with a medium rare temp. When the food finally arrived, it was well done. We requested to send it back and later was told they only have well done. Our server only took our order, he did not bring our food out nor did he plate the food. The chef should be fired for letting a prime rib out with this temperature. If they simply said this is all we have, before they just sent it out, then the rating would be different. Because the chef allowed this out, we are not coming back and we will definitely share our experience with our friends and family to make sure none of them waste their time and money to eat here. read more

Ambiance was great on a warm spring evening (5/24/25). The restaurant is a little dated and heavily relies on the waterfall views and downtown. Ordered two 16oz herb crusted prime rib dinners which were mediocre but very filling. The Dungeness crab dip tasted like a tuna melt. I will say that this restaurant does give generous portions for the price. Our server was good but very overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was responsible for. It's an ok place. I came here on a Saturday night with my family. The place was dimly lit and crowded -- I thought the decorations and vibes felt nice. Despite being crowded, our server was very attentive. We came for the SRW and each got a 3 course meal consisting of caesar salad, clam chowder, prime rib, shellfish linguine, salmon, creme brulee, and chocolate cake. We also ordered an extra appetizer of clams! The good: All the seafood and desserts! I think Palisade specializes in seafood. The clams, salmon, and shellfish linguine were spectacular--each were cooked to our liking. The creme brulee and chocolate cake tasted amazing as well. It was the perfect way to end our meal The bad: The prime rib was not what we expected. It was dry and bland. Additionally, the clam chowder was too creamy and the caesar salad did not taste like your average caesar salad. Overall I'd give this a 3.5/5 for the ambiance and seafood, but I was disappointed with the prime rib. I'd like to try coming back during the daytime to experience the view, though! read more

We had a very disappointing experience at Poseidon. Earlier this week, we called to make a reservation for 7 people for a birthday celebration on Sunday, December 21, and were explicitly told the reservation was confirmed for 5:15 PM. We arrived early at 4:50 PM, only to be told that our reservation could not be found. After some investigation, the staff informed us that the reservation had been incorrectly made for December 28 instead. The host then told us they were looking for a solution and asked us to wait 10 minutes. We waited over 20 minutes, only to be told that the only option was two separate tables. When we asked if the tables could be put together so our party could sit as a group, they refused. In total, we wasted about 40 minutes waiting without a clear or workable resolution and ultimately had to leave without being seated. This was especially upsetting given that it was a birthday celebration and the mistake was not ours. Overall, the experience showed poor reservation management, lack of communication, and very little effort to accommodate a large party after an internal error. Unfortunately, it left a very negative impression. read more

We came here to celebrate a birthday, and overall it was a great experience. As we were driving in, we were a little unsure where the restaurant was, but it turned out to be right next to the marina and it's the only restaurant there, so once you spot it, it's easy. There's also plenty of parking, which was a plus. There were seven of us, and we started by ordering a bottle of wine. They brought a different year than what was listed on the menu, but the wine was good, so we decided to keep it. We also ordered two dozen oysters, but unfortunately they only had one dozen left. They were really yummy, though, and we definitely wished there were more. For dinner, three people ordered the prime rib, and it was hands down the best dish of the night, cooked perfectly and full of flavor. I ordered the crab-stuffed shrimp, which was delicious, especially with the lemon sauce that came with it and the lobster bisque was top tier. The chicken dish was on the dry side, but the sauce it came with was very flavorful and helped a bit. They also brought out a special dessert for my birthday which was really nice. Overall, a nice spot for a special occasion with decent seafood and standout prime rib. We'd definitely come back for the prime rib. read more

We ordered two medium rare steaks that came out well done, and while we tried a variety of appetizers, most were just okay. The oysters, in particular, were very small and didn't feel worth the price. Cocktails were fun and well-presented, but the food overall didn't justify the $50+ per plate cost. While the atmosphere was nice and the staff friendly, I wouldn't return for the food or drinks. My daughter took me here for my birthday. It is a lovely place. We were warmly greeted and ushered to a table personalized with my name. One aspect of this restaurant, is the nautical theme. There was a creek running throughout the restaurant. Also, the view. The table was situated to give an incredible view of the waterfront. Slightly overwhelmed by the beauty of both the restaurant and the view. The servers did seem inexperienced and new. They did try hard to convey the menu and descriptions. Unfortunately, they really seemed overwhelmed . I'm not subtracting any stars for their inexperience. Just felt as if this level of service one is paying for, would benefit from providing servers above fast food abilities. Please be able to describe menu items at a bare minimum. We started out with ordering a seafood tower. This comes with Maine Lobster | Chilled Shrimp | King Crab Legs | Tuna Poke | Oysters | Clams. Our server was quite confused on what seafood came with this order. We asked about the ratio of each type of seafood and could not get an answer. The seafood was of excellent quality. The combination of seafood items appeal to anyone limited in their seafood exposure. For we devoured this tower. Each item was a taste hit. Long time between the tower being brought to our table and any further service. We then had two orders of the steamed clams kettle. These were flavored with Pancetta | Calabrian chili . And came with a grilled baguette, to soak up the flavors. The pancetta and Calabrian chili gave a spicy edge to the meek flavor of the clams. The addition of more meat and vegetables would elevate this dish to entree level. On to entrees. I ordered the fire roasted halibut. The halibut was cooked perfectly, still moist inside. It came with sides of Heirloom tomatoes. To boost the taste of the halibut, it also included corn succotash , corn puree and basil oil. These additions gave a welcome sweetness to the fish. We also ordered the Chilean sea bass. Not a menu item you see every day. One of my favorites. Sea bass has a sweet taste and sauces can take over the delicate flavor of the bass. The roasted tomato beurre was a nice touch, more creamy and buttery than acidic. The lobster risotto that came with it, could have had more lobster, as it hardly tasted of lobster. We also had an order of roasted mushrooms. I enjoyed the compact roasted chewy texture of the mushrooms. Allot all of these dishes were lukewarm. We did try to get the attention of our server. Could not find them. So went ahead with eating. We ended our meal with key lime pie. This was tart and a not too heavy dessert. My thoughts are that this is a beautiful restaurant. I would gladly come here and just be happy eating a bowl of oatmeal. The food was really good. But the service mishaps took away from the experience. Entrees brought lukewarm. A wonderful waterside restaurant perfect to celebrate a special occasion! I feel like Palisade has been around Seattle forever, but is severely underrated. The service was very attentive and friendly. We were celebrating our anniversary and got a cute card and also dessert at the end (flourless chocolate cake). The sake marinated black cod was delicious! Perfectly cooked so that the fish was incredibly tender, with a miso saltiness, zucchini strips, and a soft shrimp cake on the bottom. I would definitely order this again! My partner got the ahi tuna rice bowl and he was a bit less impressed. The ahi was room temp and there was a large amount of lemon peel garnish that was a bit confusing. We ordered the cheesecake for dessert, which was massive and came with some butterscotch. Not too sweet and very fluffy! We were so full by this time that we took the rest home for later. Since the restaurant is by the dock, I'd recommend walking along the water before or after your meal to enjoy the Seattle views. Salads were brought before the soups, orders didn't go to the right people and it took very long to go from one dish to the next. I also found it odd that the waiter knocked the napkin off the wine holder onto the ground as nd didn't notice it. He even came back and brought the bill and stepped over the napkin.
