Best place for a pedicure! Ladies always get me Groomed up! Would recommend this place for everyone!

My mom was complainimg about her toe hurting and she couldn't sleep at night after the pedicure she had at this nail salon. She went to the ER this morning because she could not take the pain anymore. She had to have 5 shots on each toe to numb her to take care of her toe. This is so unacceptable on so many levels, this facility really needs to be more careful. We will definitely not be coming to coming to this place anymore, I hope her toe heals well, if they healing process is not better within a few days further actions will be taken. This is just unceptable. read more

I had the worst service I have ever received at this place. I ended up leaving before they did my nails! I never like to leave bad Yelp reviews, but this one is much deserved. I don't mind waiting when busy but the unprofessionalism and rude attitudes from the workers turned this completely disrespectful. I was standing outside for 2.5 hours waiting to get ONE finger fixed. Myself and 2 ladies that had gotten there before me, asked for an ETA and were completely ignored by the workers. We asked multiple times & even asked why we were being ignored. She eventually said it would be another hour & so I sat back down and waited until about 15 mins later a lady walked up and got taken within 5 mins before all 3 of us. After that I left. I called to speak to the owner about having this horrible experience hoping it was just a bad day, because why would a worker ignore 3 customers that have been there waiting to give you our money?? Instead, I was told I was not able to speak to the owner & that what happened "doesn't matter and is no big deal anyway". After all of this, I will be reporting this unprofessional business! read more

I have finally found the hidden gem!! Seriously, this area does not have a great selection of salons and I have been to some bad ones (nail spa plus). I have only been to this salon twice but it is already my favorite spot in South San Diego. I've been trying to get Sara but she is a busy lady. My sister just had her baby (new born)and she needed to get her nails done. I offered to go with her and watch my niece while she got her nails done. While I was waiting for her sitting where the customers wait the "manager/owner" asked me to move because I wasn't a customer and she needed the chairs for her customers to sit! Mind you there were no customers waiting to sit down! when I told her my sister was getting her nails done and I was just taking care of the baby she didn't care! She still wanted me to move. Yes I refused to move because she was so wrong in so many ways! What kind of "manager/owner" asks you to go leave with a new born! The kind that doesn't care about customers but just her business! This nail place has always been my go-to nail place always. Since the first time I ever got my nails done for my high school prom I came here with my sister. But let me tell you this will be the last time I go. I went when it was packed and I understood that, since there was literally people waiting outside the door. I walked in signed in, on the front desk where EVERYBODY was signing in and waited outside because it was full inside. So as about 30 minutes went by I was going in and out checking to see if there was a seat and seeing if I was getting close to be next but I noticed they didn't even check the sign in sheet ONCE. The ladies would walk up to customers and just take whoever. When I noticed that I walked up to the owner and asked how much longer it would be. She then told me "10-15min" so I was okay with that so I waited again. Still noticing nobody was checking the sign in sheet. Then I had been waiting a whole hour and my patience was withering thin, people who got there after me where going to the back so I told Sara how much longer she then told me 45 minutes, I told her I have already been waiting an hour and she told me "only little longer", trying to be the patient person I am I waited TWO MINUTES, and a lady who had walked in 20 minutes ago got called back, no appointment. I crossed my name out of the sign in sheet and walked out... time to explore new places. piece of advice if you have a sign in sheet USE IT. read more

I was devastated when Sara was missing in action from Walmart in Eastlake. My niece was in a hurry one day and decided to come for a quick fill at Palm Nails. To her surprise Sara was there and new owner of the shop. I understand there is bad reputation from previous owner, but rest assure it's under new management with excellent service. I am glad I found Sara. I highly recommend Palm Nails, the prices are very reasonable and they are very clean. Their tools come straight out of closed sealed packaging from getting them sterilized, like dentist tools do. read more

i love this place!! i was trying to find a new nail salon (the old place i was at just wasn't worth going to anymore). so i yelped for one ;) and thanks to ur help i found this awesome place soo... i walked in on a Monday afternoon and was greeted right away, i was seated for a spa pedi and the pretty young lady did a really good job. then i was seated with Sammy, he was the sweatest guy...he made me feel super comfortable and appreciated and was actually keeping a conversation going with me..cool guy! so overall this place has great customer service, attentive and they got skills! Sammy did an awesome job on my french tip set and he hooked it up with a pretty little flower. I've been getting lots of compliment's of course i cant forget my qute pink tip toes...very qute!!! i recommend this place to anyone and everyone!!! sammy if u read this...ur awesome!! hah-see you soon read more

I came in because I saw that this location just opened. Right away the man at the desk was friendly and asked me to sign in and check the boxes that applied to the services that I needed. I asked right away if they had time to sit me down for a pedicure and fill because I saw they where busy. He said that they will sit me down for the pedicure right away (which they did) however she took only 10 minutes and was rushing because they had people waiting. They very rudely moved me and asked me to wait for the fill which I was fine with ..... 1 hour later !!!!!!!! I left without a fill. DO NOT COME HERE they are rude, Rush the job and don't give you a time frame of wait time. I never am one to write negative reviews but this was horrible and I will NEVER COME HERE read more

I been a regular customer at this nail salon for the past three years already. So i went to get my nails and pedicure done this past Friday. Paid $21 for a pedicure and $45 for a gel REFILL. Saturday morning I was putting my jeans on and one nail flew off. I was so annoyed. I paid $45 for my nails and they dint even last one day. Later that day another nail broke in half. I called the nail salon and explained how i had just done the day before and two fell off. She said to come in the next day because they were too busy and i asked if there was an additional charge to fix them. She said yes. At thy point I decided not to go back. Its so dumb if she would have done her job right in the first place they wouldn't have fallen off so easily. Btw Sara was the one who did my nails. Over all don't go to get nails done. Worst mani-pedi ever!!! I went in on Saturday afternoon and by Sunday morning my nail where chipped! Did I mention I was on vacation so I was nt even doing much with my hands. By Sunday afternoon the nail polish on my ring finger came off in 1 whole piece, yuck!!! My pedi wasn't any better :( it didn't even last a week!!!!! I wasn't aware that if I didn't upgrade I was going to get a terrible job. I think even there standard service should at least last longer than 24 hours!!!!!! read more

I have been going to this shop for years. Great customer service. The owner Jaime is a sweetheart. Always waxes the hell out of my eye brows. :) Sam does my nails and I always get compliments. He is very efficient and I must say we have the best conversations. My pedicures are done by either Van or Jasmine. Awesome!!! They are both efficient and make sure that your toes have the cutes design, if that is your preference. I have not had any bad experiences with the shop, everyone is friendly and helpful. If you want to have the best experience you can have, try out the shop the wait is never too long. read more

Best salon I've been to since I moved to San Diego a year ago! Sam is the most artistic and knows what he's doing. Everything is cleaned and sanitized the correct way. Not just soap and water! I am so happy to have found this place. Luckily my reg place was closed. Its the first time that I show a nail technician a pic of what I want and actually get what I wanted. I really recommend John. He did an amazing job. Attention to detail is a must to me and he did so well. The pedicure lady who's name I didn't get, did a good job but I did not appreciate her cleaning my cuticle of her tools on my foot! come on who doe that??!! any who after I asked her not to do that she stopped and uses the towel. I decided to give this place another shot because it's so close to home, last time I had an appointment I had to wait over an hour. I loved my gel manicure, BUT my pedicure was horrible. She cut me and I don't know what they do with their instruments but I definitely don't believe they're fresh and new from a package. It's been two days and I have an infecting on my toe. NOT to mention that I decided to still tip the pedicure lady and she looked at me shocked like "that's it" simply because I was sitting there for a while does to my bleeding toe! Second time I come to Palm Nails, great experience both times! Today Susan did my pedicure and I absolutely loved it, she cut out all the cuticles and I added a callus remover. She also gave me a nice foot massage, it was pricey but well worth every penny. My gel nail polish will last several weeks, I plan to return with Susan... Nice place , but I just left and I'm not happy the service is OK but they all seem like they don't want to be there, my nails look like they are already grown out :( ,I asked for a pink glitter color it looked good in the salon but when I looked closer there is no glitter it just has white spots . I left with polish all over my hands . Don't waist your time or money . I also seen they dont clean the foot spas with anything they just rinse , unsanitary if you ask me !!! read more

So I once was a regular back when I was in middle & high school. Then ownership changed & quality went down. I decided to give this place another shot considering my history with it & because it is so close to home & gas prices are going up (ya'll can feel me). I got a fill on my acrylics & a basic spa pedicure. Each service were $15. I have to say both came out extremely well. I am very satisfied & have changed my skeptical opinion about this salon because the last time I did my nails here the gentleman ( who wasn't at this salon when I went today ) had completely ruined my nails. The gentleman who did my fill was John, who was extremely nice & friendly. I unfortunately didn't get the name of the woman who did my pedicure. I'm sure I'll go back when it's time for another fill & pedi. For the color I selected, it was DND 494 Magical Mauve & I'm in love with the color. You guys just don't know. Gave 4 stars because my manicurist nicked my cuticles a bit & made me bleed a little. Other than that great quality & service. read more

i came in with a 27 dollar certificate dont ask me why 27. a pedicure cost 17 just the basic but i saw other people getting the basic and seemed like their attention was better. not too happy with what i got i mean she cleaned my nails and i got a massage chair but thats the most i think i was able to get out of it. the nail files they use seems to be used with all the customers and dont seem to ever change it. the tools are def clean cuz they open the bag then and there. they use bags in the massage chair tub so i guess thats a plus. not sure ill come back here. read more

I went to get a pedicure today for my first time. It was about 10:30 and nobody was there. As we walked in I asked for a pedi and the lady told me to sign in. I know it's not a big deal but I just thought it was stupid considering nobody was there. Anyways they seated me on a really comphy spa chair! My lady's name was Angel and she did a really good job! Definitely not returning to this place! Don't even waist your time! everyone will be friendly with you at first!!! I started coming to this place because it was recommended by a family member and she recommended Susan(she is good on what she does but don't give her any complains because you become her enemy) about 6 months ago. Sara the owner is horrible on running a business and communicating with her employees and obviously does not know how to communicate with the customers. On my first "complain" it's when everything change of course no one likes to be told that they did something wrong but I tried to do it in a calm and friendly way and it just escalated to being told that they don't want me to come back. A gentlemen did my nails on the day of the incident for ones he cut me, and I said don't worry about it happens, on this day I decided to do some chrome and glittery gel color wish I notice this guy (Don't know his name I want to say is Sam) didn't know how to use this product he did the coloring 5 times my nails were so lumpy, I told Sara right after I paid that my nails didn't look that great, her answer was "That's the Fashion" WT%^. I was like ok imma give it a try. The next morning one of my nails started cracking the gel polish by the way I had paid EXTRA for the Chrome & the Glitter. So I called them to see if they can fix them but I wanted Susan to do change my color I ask if she had any appointment available and the Owner said yes so she booked me when I show up I waited 35 minutes ("I thought I had an appointment") anyways my sister was with me and Susan tells me "ooh ill do her nails first" (a full set) I was mm no I had an appointment I believe it should be me first. So she started talking to Sara in there language (which I find rude, obviously they are talking about me I can see her demeanor change) and then Susan stars telling me "next time make appointment I'm really busy you know" but her tone of voice was of upset at me. So I told her I did make an appointment (Sara Never communicated that to her she just booked me) if you can't do my nails then I'll just come back another day and she said no I'll just do them now. and she was just rushing on my color change and continuing to talk to other workers in there language and I can seen the looking at me and then one of them even glimpse at my nail (talking about me again). when she'd done I tell Sara (the owner) Can I get a $10 credit since I did pay for a Chrome Color and a glitter color a few days ago and she gave me the look of wanting to slap me and said you should of told me before I don't give credits so I told her well my sister is doing her nail right now can you give her those $10 off her full set then "no you two are different people, you should of told me before" and she was rolling her eyes. Well can I come back tomorrow and get a design or save the $10 for NEXT Time (Me considering coming back stupid me) she said yes so I left. 40 minutes later my sister calls me and said hey they Gave me $10 for you and that they don't want you to come back Whhhaaattt TTThhhheeee!!!! All I wanted was to get my nail repainted and if I pay extra last time get a $10 credit or a discount for next time and I'm sorry for the inconvenience that you had to come back so soon ect. Sara learn to Apologize, I'm not saying customers are always right but you also have to accept when your technicians did a poor job! and don't take it the wrong way we are helping your business as costumers. You didn't only loose one customer but you lost two and even three because my sister went to you guys referred by another friend. read more

I'm really not sure how I should rate this, my feet look awesome and they're so soft but..... I was clipped when my cuticles were being trimmed. I didn't get an apology, she did everything to try to conceal it, but I felt it!!!!! prices are good and like I said she did a good job, I feel like she should've owned up to it and at least offer an apology. Went here for the high rating but never again! I got there 9:30am and didn't get seated until 10:30! Once they sat me down she left for 15 minutes. She kept getting calls and leaving! I can't even say the wait was worth it, I completely disliked the acrylics she did (I asked for coffin shaped) on one of my nails it was rounds and the other side was straight I asked if she can fix it put she made it worse!
