They are most well known for their counter of bakery goods (Pan) and coffee drinks. I always like to ask staff what bakery goods to get! The place is also very neat & clean! It's a good place to catch up with friends or as a study spot all on your own. The patio also offers a green wall with a neon sign, if that's your thing! Finally had an opportunity to try Pan & Coffee for brunch and it was good. The service was really nice, we were greeted as soon as we walked in and we're able to place our order really quickly. We came at a slower time and our food came out super quickly. I ordered the p&c chilaquiles and they were good, I highly recommend adding avocado to them. They needed a little bit of salt but once I added that they were good. The coffee was delicious, it was perfectly sweet and creamy. Great ambiance, cool atmosphere, chill music. Very clean. Chai Latte was a good temperature, delicious. The Chilaquiles surprised me with some temperature in the drenched red tostadas with other tostadas complimented with refried beans tostadas to take down the heat. The decor is modern, fresh, clean and open. I love all the little faux plants they have there because I'm a plant mom, I love to see greenery everywhere. I recognized a French tune on their speakers, that so awesome! The feel of this place is so eclectic. I love that it has seating outside to eat as well because this place can get full inside so quickly!! Drinks come out almost immediately and food comes out depending on how busy the place is. Pan & Coffee off Stone Oak: overall, not bad. I got the house coffee and it was nothing special. The egg sandwich was good, maybe 8/10. It was egg with bacon and cheese, but the rating comes because the egg lacked flavor. Nothing a little salt didn't fix though. The potatoes are amazing!! You do have to purchase them separately though. $11 for the sandwich and $2.50 for the potatoes. My friend had the chicken salad sandwich, which she said was good. I can't rate it, but looks good! I stopped in here after an oncology appointment. Boy am I glad I did! First of all the amazing, beautiful staff of ladies I dealt with were delightful. Sadly, it was the end of the day so bread was sparse. I was able to snag the rosemary focaccia with salt and tomatoes. I picked up two and proceeded to watch my family at home eat both loaves as everyone discussed work. They were both loved and adored. My daughter said "it was just like the bread from when we lived overseas" I grabbed a bagful of some homemade dog snacks for our Great Danes and I lost the battle trying to give them each just two. I turned around and they had the bag and chowed them down. These two are super picky. We now call them "puppy crack cookies". Definite winner! Peanut butter latte was fantastic! Also for the staff, I am epi pen allergic to to rosemary and tomatoes. They double bagged them, even though they are self serve. The vibe was really classy, clean and bright. Everyone was chatty. I'm a forever fan! My daughter and I tried this place for the first time today and we were both impressed by how delicious everything was. We chose an assortment of pastries to take home for later but we did take a little cheat bite before our breakfast came out. The lemon cruffin, monkey bread and my personal favorite, the almond concha were equally as perfect! The chilaquiles with chicken were so delish and I'll be ordering those every time I come here. The potatoes were a little undercooked but had great flavor nonetheless. We ordered a cold brew and the peanut butter latte and were very happy with our choices. I will have to say that the peanut butter latte is more of a dessert though so I won't be ordering it first thing in the morning again. But I WILL be ordering it after! Staff is very friendly. I was in the stone oak area and had this place bookmarked so I figured I'd give it a try. Once you walk inside there are several compartments that house various pan dulce selections. All the pan dulce looked good and fresh. I opted for a vanilla concha and it was above average. Since that's probably the only spot in the area for pan dulce it's probably your best option. However, there are other places in SA that have superior pan dulce. We ordered a simple vanilla iced coffee and it took 17 minutes for our order to come out. I know, first world problems. If coffee is in the name of your business you'd think the assembly line would be on point. Maybe a lean six sigma course could help improve the efficiency of delivering coffee within a plausible timeframe. The associates were very sweet so that was a plus and there's plenty of seating throughout the joint. If I'm in the area I'll slide through. Peace. read more

Our second time here, and I think it's one of our new favorite places to grab some breakfast, some coffee, and/or a pastry. The chilaquiles texanos were delicious, even better than last time's chilaquiles! DH went with the breakfast sandwich again but, this time, ordered it "as is" instead of requesting fried eggs. He much preferred it with fried eggs. Although it was still delicious, the sandwich, as listed on the menu, comes with scrambled eggs, and the scrambled eggs have things mixed in, so it's more like an omelette sandwich and the texture is more dry. Fried eggs for the win. Added fried eggs (upcharge) to the chilaquiles and they were cooked perfectly. The crumbles of bacon hidden among the chips and cheese were delicious little surprises. The pastry was a white chocolate raspberry muffin which we shared to end our meal on a sweet note. Great flavor, plump raspberries, and the perfect complement to our last sips of coffee. Be prepared to spend some money here, though. Some of the website prices are incorrect- lower than what is posted at the cafe. If it didn't cost us $50 per visit for two, we'd definitely make it our regular breakfast and pastry spot! Service was great apart from the trainee at the register and an overzealous busser who kept trying to collect our things before we were finished. What an excellent place! I considered giving it four stars because my experience wasn't great, but it was not the fault of Pan & Coffee, so I gave it an appropriate five stars. When you walk in there is a hand sanitizing station, some trays, and tongs ready for you to select some interesting pan dulce. The pan dulce itself is very, very good, and unique from other pan dulce I've had. The chocolate concha tastes EXACTLY like cocoa puffs! It was a winner in my book, and I liked it more than the vanilla, though it was also fairly tasty. The cruffins were interesting! Anything crossed with a croissant is going to be great though. It was sugary and flaky and went great with my iced concha latte. But the most incredible things were the "different" concha flavors - pistachio and peanut butter & jelly. Whoa, mama! Both were absolutely incredible! Unfortunately, anxiety set in when I was overstimulated by the noise from the back and also how extremely busy it was (And for good reason, the food looked great) - therefore, I did not get to try some savory food. My fight or flight kicked in and I grabbed my boxed up treats and high-tailed it out. I do plan to come back for the avocado toast, though (and update this review) because it looks like a fantastic brunch spot when it's not overwhelmingly busy. Great staff. Always seems busy but you can eventually get a table. The pastries are really good. A bit rich but so worth it. Their corn bread pudding it delicious. I love their food. I have tired different items from their avocado toast to the breakfast platter. Their beans are so flavorful. Definitely worth checking out if you are a bean person. Their drinks are always on point as well. Food is very reasonably priced. I would say pastries are bit pricey but it seems like everything is going up in SA. Pan & Coffee was one of those places that seemed to be on hold during the pandemic. Finally, this past weekend, it opened and I attempted to visit on three different occassions. I started Sunday, but it was closed. The owner, however, was there and told me they would open on Monday. I did try them on Monday, but they didn't have any sweet breads yet, so I went back today. They still didn't have many sweet breads, but I decided to stay for some cappuccino. The coffee was very good, smooth and tasty. I truly enjoyed it and the place had plenty of comfortable seating. My only issue was the lack of sweet breads during their prime hours. They only had croissants and two of their Mexican traditional conchas. This was very dissapointing, especially after seeing mention of other sweet breads in their menu and another review. In all honesty, though, they just opened, so it could be that with time, they will have more of a selection during the week. I sure hope so because I am looking forward to returning to sample some of their breads. read more

Whoa Yelpers. Pan & Coffee is the place. The wife and I stopped in for a late brunch. It is a little unassuming when you first walk in. The typical coffee shop. People of all ages sitting at tables and a high top bar overlooking the parking lot. Music quietly playing in the background. Just inside the door is a glass case of pastries. Not just any pastries but pastries on another level. We selected the Almond Amaretto Concha based on the recommendation of the barista. I'm not sure I'm crazy about almonds, amaretto is just okay, and who knows what a concha is, but put those three amigos together in a pastry and...Epic! Chase it with a coffee and life suddenly makes sense. Seriously, order it, you won't regret it. We did also order breakfast plates. I had the Chilaquiles de Mole and the wife eggs and bacon. I like Chilaquiles but the flavor was overwhelmingly mole. Not a lot of depth. The bed of refried beans were bland. So I wouldn't order it again. The wife's plate was nothing special. This was my first time at this place. A friend of mines kept saying they wanted to go and it was a good breakfast spot. First I liked the steps to get the pastries. You have to use hand sanitizer and plastic gloves. You get a tray and some tongs. I really like how that works. And great to see people follow the instructions. What was ordered was the churro French toast and the chilaquiles Pan & Coffee and a chai latte. My friend said the French toast as good. Really good in fact but couldn't tell what was the churro part of it. I had the chilaquiles. It was really good for a restaurant. I really liked it. I got an egg on it as well as chicken. I though it was really good. Constructed different than other restaurants. The taste and flavor was really good. It was different to have the sauce on one side and the beans on the other. But I really really enjoyed it. Oh the Chai latte was really good and flavor and temperature. It wasn't too hot it was perfect temperature to drink and warm on a wet rainy day. I've been meaning to try this spot since it's opening. Finally did so last week. It is a lovely place, clean and friendly. The best part are the baked goods! I purchased a variety of muffins to take home. Loved the monkey bread, lemon poppy and raspberry muffins! Delicious! But the best was the cardamom cruffin. Amazing flakiness and flavor so good I went back yesterday to buy another, but sadly they were already sold out at 11:00am. BTW I noticed yesterday that they serve breakfast and lunch. Second go around and MUCH a better experience this morning. Greeted straight away and helped without asking for it. We picked out the smores croissant and pistachio concha to go along with coffees. All were fantastic! Would much rather come here for a quick pastry over donuts from any chain. The service from both registers was top notch service with a smile. We had come in for coffee but this was my first sit down chance. We brought my in laws with us because we love expanding their horizons, and let's just say we will all be back. WOW! I saw this place on Apple Maps on my phone and I saw how cute the aesthetic is and as well as the photos of the food and coffee. It drew me in. I love the inside, you're immediately greeted with a wide variety of sweet bread. I grabbed the monkey bread, the chocolate filled concha and vanilla concha. The bread was so sweet and just right. There was a very kind man who walked us through all the different flavors offered and help us order what we were looking for. The concha latte was delicious, I got mine with oat milk. SO good.
