I can't believe after coming here all these years I have yet to do a review. This is my go to Mercado in the area for fresh produce and especially peppers I can't find at a local grocery store. They also have a great selection of the standard canned offerings, hot sauces, and the freshest tortilla chips I can find. I also hit their meat section too if I don't want to take the time prep a meal at home and just want to whip something together. I have tried their fajita mix, al pastor, carne asada, and pollo asado. All are great and you can't beat the price. Randomly visited here since had never been to a "Mexican grocery store" before have been to many other ethnic stores but this kept catching my eye esp after the refurbishment. In a strip mall thy have plenty of parking and lots of intriguing items. A lot of the staff are not bilingual but managed to order some food from their deli. The beef and chicken fajitas were really tasty , you have to cook yourself. The bakery section is pretty good if you're tired of regular donuts they have some decent Pan Dulce Barquillo which is a puff pastry come filed with custard and other breads and cookies. It's very clean and fully stocked ,a little more expensive than I'd like but overall pretty good read more

So I got introduced to authentic tacos this year (I know, where have I been) and it truly has been amazing. Before, I only knew Taco Bell and chicken chalupas. What else do they need in here? The place has a bakery, meat, and snack section, refreshments counter, and a taqueria. I ordered the asada and pastor tacos and they were really good with the different sauces. Place has the sauces for sale too. I felt like the tacos weren't soggy and meats weren't dry at all. Pricing is decent, tacos are a bit cheaper compared to other places. Also tried their mangonada and it was just okay. If I was craving for a mangonada, this place wouldn't come to mind. I didn't like the salt and sugar granule texture in my mouth. I did like that they used actual diced mangos in their drink. Service is not bad. Ladies at the taco counter were nice. Wait time varies depending on how busy they are. There was 1 cook that day, probably waited 10 minutes. I was so amazed by the different pastries they carry. Unfortunately I didn't get to try it as I was too full. 3 stars for overall, would give 4 stars specifically to their tacos. This place is ok but bad customer service with no manger on the floor or manger to help when you don't speak Spanish. I went into the store and got some groceries, and the cashier scanned my items and bagged it but didn't give me the rest of my groceries, i was charged for it too. I called the next day to talk to a manger and the person couldn't speak english and told me that there was no manger there and hung up on me. Now that was rude, how do you have a business that have people work for you but cant speak english or help you when you want to order Mexican Food. Will never go back there. Got charged and didn't get a refund back. Will go somewhere else where I'm appreciated and welcome with help. read more

Honestly, this little hidden gem in the Crystal Shopping Center is the perfect spot for a before or after shopping lunch whether emptying your wallet at Target, passing through the area, or just completely obliterating your current placeholder for best tacos in or around Minneapolis greater metro. Their al pastor is totally out of this world, I typically grab a couple extra and a tamale or two on my way out the door, and I would highly recommend this place over El Loro nearby, which is fine in it's own way, but not nearly as authentic or flavorful as Panaderia La Loma. This is not a Tex Mex restaurant, this is real Mexican food, nestled inside a weird combo bakery/market/deli/butcher/check-cashing joint. It's not guaranteed the person working the counter will even speak much English, but if you speak even a little bit of Spanish, or know to point at the menu, you'll not only be fine, you'll be so thoroughly transported as to feel a gulf breeze on your face while salt and lime and grease dance on your tastebuds. You'll go to reach for a sip of your margarita, which unfortunately they do not serve, but I won't take away a star for that, they make up for it with a selection of delicious agua frescas. A pretty nice little bakery/ grocery/ butcher shop. Upon walking in, you will immediately see the baking area with big ovens with bakers working while the front staffs bring out freshly baked goods to fill in the empty display cases. They provide trays and tongues for you to pick whatever baked goods that you want from the display cases by yourself. They also have a separate area for grocery .. a small fresh veggie stand, a couple of display cases for fresh cut meat, and a couple of aisles for dried and packaged grocery items. There were a lot of yummy looking Mexican baked goods, but I didnt really know what they were, so I selected a couple of churros and a couple of cream-filled horns. They were all fresh and very good, and only a dollar each .. they were really inexpensive. This bakery-grocery is definitely worth a stop if in the area. read more

Welcome to the 3rd world! Every time I come here, i get the same terrible service and attitude. The cashiers have tried shorting us twice. They treat everyone as they would in Mexico - like they dont give a crap! Bathroom had broken plumbing, no toilet paper, and nasty paper towels everywhere. The prices here are 30% more then anywhere. The other Mexican markets near bye are great. Avoid this place. read more

I was there buying tacos, the person who was there looked tired and careless she forgot to put onions on the tacos. I asked her before I left if the tacos have onions??? She told me ...YES!!!! When I got home there was not any onions .... I called the manager and she talked to this employee, but she lied ...she kept saying that she putted onions. BAD service!!! I have order cakes here in the past but today the entire cake tastes very sour my kids didn't eat it, and the bread was dry.
