    Steak Taco
    Corinne C.

5 stars for two specific features: +homemade corn tortillas: YUM. I love a homemade corn tortilla and not many places do them. Got a carne asada taco and it came on a delicious homemade tortilla. It really ups the deliciousness of a taco, and keeps much better structural integrity than an industrial from-a-bag tortilla. +salsa bar! I love serve-yourself salsa bars and this one was solid. Cute and clean, with the salsa containers well nestled in ice. A standard blended mild tomato salsa, a chunky non-spicy pico (aka my youngest's main vehicle for veggies these days), mild/medium green salsa, a fiery brick-red salsa (chile de arbol? Toasty with a great kick!), pickled jalapeños/carrots/onion that has a good kick (also appreciate they're chopped, rather than whole giant peppers), and cilantro/onion mix to put on your tacos. I was a bit surprised the taco came with shredded lettuce on the side and a sprinkle of cheese on top, but hey I'm not turning down some extra fiber and protein. I loaded it up with cilantro/onions from the salsa bar, plus all the salsas. Accompanying chips were thin, light, crispy. My son got a small bean/cheese burrito which the staff helpfully customized to his tastes. Service was quick and very friendly. Carne asada had a bit of gristle but eh, it can do that. Still very happy with the tortillas and salsas, and will be back for more tacos.

Have been coming here for yeeeaaars and even better that it's walking distance! I usually get the following: * "Burrito Atomico" - steak A Chile Tortilla filled with Black Beans, Rice, Salsa, and choice of Chicken, Steak, Carnitas, or Veggies. It's topped with a Homemade Spicy Red Chile Sauce, Melted Cheese and Diced Pepper $14.99 * Churros! W/ Caramel Sauce $7.50

Barria quesadilla- this is so delicious- you want to put the sauce on everything.

Pancho's is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in San Francisco. The restaurant is bright and has great decorations. Service is good and efficient. All the meals come with chips and the salsa bar is fun. We always order the special Barria tacos or quesadillas. The slow cooked beef is so tender and the sauce is very deep and flavorful. You want to put it on everything. And the burritos and fajitas are also excellent choices. You definitely get your money's worth. It is a lovely restaurant to have a simple lunch or dinner.

    BIRRIA QUESADILLA

Found this place while in the city. Had the nachos. They were delicious. My husband had the borracho burrito. He enjoyed that as well. Restaurant is cute and very clean. Staff was very friendly.

They took a long time to prepare the food, however, was worth the wait!! I loved how you could choose how much and what kind of sauces you wanted for your food:) I'm a huge sauce gal so appreciated that I could get any amount I wanted. The beef fajita plate was absolutely delicious! The beef was soft and flavorful, went perfectly with beans, rice, guacamole and tortilla. They also stacked the plate with guacamole which made me super happy Highly recommend the red hot sauce- so tasty but very very spicy (warning)

Simply far too expensive. It is now over $19 for a fajita burrito (including tax). It just can't be defended. Won't be back.

For once in my life, I was forced to eat like a civilized man. On the outside, everything looked normal, but in the inside it was anything but normal: I had to open my third eye center so that I could ascend my primal instinct of going to town on this burrito. Equipped with a knife, I sawed thru that behemoth methodically - too fast and she would burst open, too slow & she would give me the cold side eye. I am the burrito slayer. Cash only, was very very well priced for the size (about $13. Receipt didn't make it out alive).

I have dined here many times in the past, and this is a cash-only restaurant. I ordered the Regular Burrito with Beef Steak ($10.25). The regular burrito comes with a flour tortilla, rice, beans, salsa, onions, and cilantro, plus your choice of meat or vegetarian. Meat choices listed on the menu: * Al Pastor - Marinated Pork * Carnitas - Deep Fried Pork * Chile Verde - Pork Green Sauce * Chorizo - Mexican Sausage * Carne Asada - Steak * Lengua - Beef Tongue * Pollo - Chicken * Cabeza - Beef Head * Tripas - Intestines I asked the cashier which meat was most popular, and he recommended the beef steak, which had a slight hint of spiciness. The burrito came with pinto beans and rice. I forgot to ask if I could substitute black beans. The burrito wasn't too salty, and the beef steak was just okay. I also think the $10.25 Carne Asada burrito is a good deal. At other taquerias, carne asada is often an additional charge or the burrito costs more when you choose steak. I usually ask for a receipt even when paying cash. When I checked my receipt, I noticed I was charged an additional $0.25 for "Bolsa To Go" (bag) even though I was dining in and didn't receive a to-go bag. It's not about the $0.25, but I think it's important for a business to have integrity and charge customers only for what they actually receive. I hope this isn't something being charged to other dine-in customers as well. Overall, I would come back to try a different meat, but next time I'll make sure to clearly say dine-in and check my receipt to make sure I wasn't charged for a to-go bag.

I got my food about 10 mins after ordering. I went with what was popular. The Dorada (toasted) super carne asada burrito was great, but I wish it was more toasty. It was softer than it looked and I assumed that was because they are frying it in lard ? But overall solid and great burrito. I thought the tacos are slept on here. Both asada and lengua tacos were incredible. Tortillas were really fresh and yummy, and they stuff it with a lot of meat (). We came here on a random Thursday at 3 pm and surprisingly, the line still almost reached the end of the block. Luckily, the line moves pretty quickly and the food is solid, but be prepared to wait for a bit. My favorite meats here are the cabeza and the lengua. The cabeza is super fatty and tender and has the amazing shreddy quality of a slow cooked meat. It had the soft melty texture of collagen and was super delicious. The lengua is also really good. It was super tender and soft and had the distinct taste of beef tongue but wasn't too overpowering. The carne asada and carnitas had a good flavor but were a little bit dry for me. I think they would be better in a super taco or burrito where you have the extra fat from the cheese and avocado. My only complaint about this place is the price. I realize that everything in SF is expensive, but over $5 for a single taco and almost $9 for a single super taco is pretty egregious. There's food trucks all over the Bay Area offering cheaper (and almost, if not, just as good) tacos in my opinion.

My friends opted for the burritos and I tried a quesadilla with al pastor meat. The food came out hot and fresh and there were different salsas and pico available to customize it. I needed a good amount of salsa for my quesadilla, which wasn't too flavored but the meat was delicious and I enjoyed the warm, crispy tortilla.
