I went to this store and ordered a bigger plate with kung pao chicken, honey walnut shrimp, and orange chicken. For some reason, we were told the honey walnut shrimp were $1.25 extra. Why? When I asked a worker named Tao why this was an extra charge, he muttered something unintelligible. Even when asked to repeat his answer, he was very unclear where other customers had no idea what he was saying. That extra charge for the honey walnut shrimp boggles my mind, I have not seen any other location give that extra charge. Sounds like a scam at this specific location. Not only that, the portions were not full. This practice seems consistent across several locations where workers are not filling up the plate. read more

This version of the panda express is pretty cool. The food is about the same as the other panda expresses that I've been too. The boba milk tea here isn't too bad 7/10. But it's a nice pairing with my panda express meal. I haven't been able to try the burrito yet at this location, but when I do I'll make an updated review. I used the app to order my meal. The app told me my food and drink would be ready by 7:00pm. I arrived at 7:09pm and was told they never received my order. They asked me to confirm the location for pick up and, after showing them my phone, it was indeed this location. The manager went into the kitchen area, for what I assumed would be to make my order. After I sat with my thumb up my ass for 15 minutes, I approached the counter again to see if my order was ready. It was not. So effectively, the manager ignored my order all together and just let me wait there, knowing my order would never get processed. I told them to cancel the order, to which they responded it would take 35 days to process! read more

The Manager was angry because he was working the line and gave me a batch of old orange chicken right before he put in a new batch. He got mad and threw my old chicken away and then gave me a half portion of the new stuff. I asked if I could get a new portion, but was ignored and told to move on. I asked the cashier to be charged for a kids meal or be given a full portion. He was rude and said he that he didn't care it was only half and I'm being charged full price. So, I pulled out my phone to take a picture of this half portion and he verbally abused me and then asked me if I minded to get out of the way so he could ring up the next person, who got a full portion by the way and commented on the difference of portions. Anyway, I said that I DO mind and that I am taking a photo for my Yelp review. Third, let's get real about Bing... I was concerned. The double OC White rice is a classic. A staple of Panda's success for years, and a personal favorite. So with a bit of apprehension I tried the Bing, 2OC, White Rice, and Mandarin sauce. The green in the torTILLA, was unusual and intimidating (Vegies are fake news), but deeecent* the Rest, fantastic. The convenience, compactness, and ability to eat on the go (windows down, tunes ablazin, people noticing your legendary vibe) was epic. In the company of high quality companions, a beautiful evening, and the promise of panda, I walked away beyond satisfied. This new panda concept also know as BING is Huuuuuuge. I've never seen a Panda with the bing/burrito option and was intrigued as well as impressed at the same time since I grew up eating bing with green onions. I ordered it with string bean chicken, quinoa, and three out of the four toppings: cucumbers, chili sauce, and a green garlic sauce. It was so delicious that I ate the entire thing when I was already full at half. I also never seen a Panda that offered boba drinks and had to try also. So I ordered the pomegranate pineapple lemonade and checked in on Yelp to get it at half price. It was really good, though a tad too sweet for my taste. Overall, I really enjoyed my experience and glad I tried things that I haven't before. Another reviewer said this location tends to run out of items, and it appears to be the case when I was there also as several items did not get replenished immediately like the tofu/eggplant. Came here on a Saturday afternoon! There is a small free parking lot in back of the restaurant. Once you step in you see how aesthetically pleasing it is. It's surrounded by a lot of green and small lanterns. The reason I came here was to try the famous orange chicken burrito. They let you pick two meats and one side, which is a bit too much in my opinion. I settled with orange chicken and fried rice, which was good. This location also has a tea bar where they have a number of milk teas and lemonades. I got the matcha milk tea and it was sooooo good! This place isn't as packed as you would think it is. The staff working here are all very attentive. The person making the teas actually goes to your table once your tea is done. I would come to this location again to try their healthier sides like quinoa and rice and kale, broccoli, and cabbage stir fry. read more

I was really eager to try this place because I had no idea the Panda Tea Bar even existed. I pulled up and easily found a street parking spot right out front but there is additional parking in the back as well. The inside was well set up to comply with social distancing guidelines and the staff was friendly. Our order was ready right away and we didn't have any issues with them being out of options. I do have to dock a star for the Tea Bar though. They exclusively use high fructose syrup to sweeten all the drinks. They don't carry any sugar substitutes - no Splenda, no Equal, nothing like that. Sugar substitutes are standard these days, especially when the alternative is something as sweet as their syrup. We were told that the only drink they could make sugar free was the matcha milk tea, and then she said that they would just put matcha, milk and water (yuck!). This didn't really strike me as a "Tea Bar" but rather just a Panda with extra beverage options. That said, the food was great and my pomegranate pineapple lemonade was tasty (although too sickly sweet for me to finish it). I'll continue coming here as a regular Panda option but this wouldn't be the pace I drop into just for a drink. read more

I came here to try the orange chicken bing and it's amazing. You can get any of the entrees in the bing though which is essentially a wrap made with a scallion pancake. So so good. Ummm well it's a Panda Express except just a little bit nicer. They have remodeled this place making it feel cleaner and more modern. The food is good and cheap but nothing amazing. The main draw of this place compared to others is that they have Boba milk tea and a few other drinks. Also, I'm not sure if the older pandas have this but they have some unique items like quinoa and you can order things in a scallion burrito wrap kind of thing. This is a review for the tea part. I have to say three things: 1. They are slow 2. The milk tea drink which is pictured with boba and even sampled with it does NOT come with boba automatically so beware if you want it, you need to say so and add it for a price. We ordered it and when we finally got it, no boba and had to wait again for it to be added and pay for it. 3. The strawberry fruit tea (green) is gross! Had a terrible aftertaste. The Cherngs are doing it right! I was surprised when I walked over to "Panda Express" to find that they moved next door to the old Rubio's and made it into "Panda & Tea," happily surprised. Wow it's like the Panda Innovation Kitchen on the east side of Pasadena. It's so fresh and modern, it made me realize just how much the Panda Express was in need of a makeover. Same great food and service but now with a Tea Bar. I got the Pomegranate Pineapple Lemonade, it was so good! I tend to always get a dish with shrimp in it, because I'd rather eat more healthy than fried foods. Thanks for the new healthier options too. I just wish they didn't make you pay an extra $1.25 for some dishes (shrimp, steak, etc.), that's why I give it 4 stars. I am happy to get a discount though because of where I work. read more

Just ordered the new Family Meal with 3 entrees & 2 sides for dinner today. Broccoli Beef came with 5 small pieces of beef for a family of four! I know food cost has gone up during Covid but this is ridiculous and simply not acceptable for a Family Meal that cost $29 + tax! This restaurant has good food, great design, and family-friendly ambiance! Panda has always been satisfying by itself,but pairing the meal with drinks is ingenious. This takes away the need to go to a boba shop! The selection of drinks offered is wide. My favorite is probably the panda milk tea or the matcha green tea. First review! I've been going to the older location that used to be next door for a while now since my school is close to this place. This is an innovation kitchen similar to the one on foothill & michillinda. They have orange chicken burritos, salads, and boba! When you walk in they welcome you and it feels pretty nice. There's a projector on the wall that displays stuff, and they give out samples of their tea drinks while you dine in. T pumps has been a hyped favorite, but if you stay and watch, the tea bar area uses real fruit. Overall very good experience! Will come back again! read more

I was so disappointed with the update of the Panda Express. There is a very limited selection for the main dish. Looking at the service line, it appears to be of similar length to that of the old Panda Express, over a third is taken up bt the tea bar. Add to that the remodel seems to have been done with all hard surfaces so the noise level is very unpleasant, even with only a handful of people in the restaurant. There are new food bases like salad mix, kale cabbage & broccoli stir fry in addition to chow mein and fried rice. You can get Chinese chicken salad and your meal as a wrap. I went to panda express tonight and i ordered my usual kinds meal. i ordered honey walnut shrimp per usual and when they were scooping, they gave me 2 shrimp. 2. 2 shrimp. i asked if i could have some more and the employee that gave me the shrimp to begin with said under his breath, "don't worry about it". first of all, honey walnut shrimp is extra so if i am paying extra, i deserve more than 2 shrimps. he ended up giving me another scoop of 1 shrimp. so in all i had 3. 3 shrimp. at this point i was uncomfortable and annoyed so i left it at that. so disappointing. read more
