    Jumbo Shrimp In Garlic Sauce*
    Karla M.

This has been our Go-To for Chinese take-out for at LEAST 15 years! We love how fast they are. Our Go-To is General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Pork...and recently added Jumbo Shrimp in Garlic Sauce...and we love it. The staff are friendly...and we've 'known' them forEVER.

I knew that the chance of finding decent Chinese food in Fairbanks would be a long shot, but this was by far the worst Chinese food I've ever had in my entire life. The Pork Fried Rice had about 3 quarter-inch cubes of pork in the entire dish and was closer to plain rice than anything else. The General Tso's Chicken was a flavorless slop, and the fried chicken wings were truly disgusting - I think they were battered with styrofoam. The fact that this place has some positive reviews is mind-boggling. I can't believe it survives as a business. The food is astonishingly, embarrassingly bad. If you enjoy this food, I honestly pity you.

Portion was huge surprisingly for Alaska. I ordered Gen Tso chicken, beef lo mein, hot sour soup, and special fried rice. Standard greasy decent Chinese food in Fairbanks. When I arrived to pick up, cooks were in the back busy prepping and cooking. One guy in the back was closing the lid and sauce spilled on the lid. He swiped the sauce clean with his finger and put his entire finger in his mouth. He saw me looking at him and we locked eyesAwkward. Not a big deal since I watch "Chopped" on tv and I guess this is normal. Maybe? Not sure! Decent food. Cheap. Huge portion.

Really wide variety of Asian dishes. Impressed but also dubious about whether they can pull off all of them. Everything we had was pretty good though! Since the name and decoration is Chinese, we stuck mostly to those dishes. I got twice cooked pork which was spicy and delicious! Liked all the vegetables too. Dad got Singapore style rice noodles which were solid. Mom got the Alaskan King crab with ginger and scallions and that was the biggest standout. Such great flavor and cooked perfectly. Much more decadent than just butter and lemon. Brother got strawberry chicken which was interesting. Crispy like orange chicken but with strawberries and sauce on it. Fine, but definitely a one and done. He also got a dragon roll which was ok. I think the rice was a bit dry. Our server Chris was really nice and he advised us to get the ginger and scallion sauce rather than another we considered because he said that one was dry. Glad he kept us from making a bad choice!

My daughter ordered the sweet n sour chicken and it was just as u would expect. I don't know how the dinner rush. Would be but we went around 3 pm and there was only 1 other customer. I like when things aren't busy. So this is a perfect time to go. $39 for two entrees and hot tea. So not to terrible.

I can say I come at least once a week that's how good the food is. They're open 7 days a week and have the best customer service I've seen by far in Fairbanks. If you ever find yourself here or haven't tried them yet YOU MUST. I highly recommend their Duck Rice Bowl & their Beef Brisket rice bowl. They're my go to meals when I don't know what I'd like to try. 10/10 I love Aurora and I'm always so happy going in and leaving the restaurant.

We ended up ordering beef noodle soup and the duck crepe, which both were surprisingly better than I expected. However, my only issue with the dishes were the veggies used, which was far from any Asian veggies since they used raw lettuce and it was very undercooked and had a slight bitterness that somewhat ruined the dishes for me. In a way I think the dishes might have tasted better without it although I appreciate the effort to add in some veggies. For the beef noodle soup, the broth and the meat was good and the egg noodle went well with it. My friend ordered the ramen version, and it was literally instant ramen noodles (not worth in my opinion). While you're able to dine in they operate more like a take out spot as all the utensils and boxes are using take out and disposable containers. Overall, not a bad spot if you're craving some Asian food.
