Called to place a Togo order they answered and left me on hold for more than 10 min.. shows how much they care about customer service!

This Panera is right by my work and is a staple for a quick lunch. They offer salads and soups that rotate based on season, and most are quite good. I like that they have a drive-thru at this location in case I need to make a run for my morning coffee. They also have a really good greek yogurt parfait for a light and healthy breakfast. read more

I went in to Panera at 9:11pm on a Monday through the drive through and they weren't taking orders so i pull up to the window and saw as 3 to 4 employees saw me sitting there waiting after 5 minutes of waiting i knocked at the window and a young man came to the window and I proceeded to ask whatnwas going on? He said we close at 10 and i said ok whats going on? He just looked very puzzled and mumbled something and i said i just wanted bagels and he said they ran OUT OF BAGELS! really PANERA . He said they only had plain so i said ok 3 plain and continues to tell me their toastar broke so then i knew you just ha a lazy weak crew! Really Panera i expected more from you! You should change your hours to closenat 9 because it seems are your crew is unable to stay open until they're suppose to 9! Really PANERA! Used to be my favorite place for lunch not anymore! I visit several Paneras and have been coming to this location once a week for nearly 3 years. Something has changed in the past 2-3 months, however, but not for the best. About a month ago I posted a complaint on the Panera web site and was sent a survey for further information. I told them we would give them one more week to see improvement...and we actually gave them 3 weeks, but there is no improvement whatsoever. Here's some of the highlights: 1. Constantly run out of coffee...at 10 AM 2. Constantly run low on milk/cream 3. Only one person manning the registers 4. Running out of bagels. 5. Long delays at the register...due to ridiculous work assignment for the cashier...take the order, get the bagel, cut the bagel, toast the bagel, get the pastries, and then finally wait on the next customer. 6. Due to the cashier being busy, there's no one to tell that the coffee has run out...and even if you do, the cashier has so many other duties that he/she cannot do anything about it. 7. A/C is freezing in some areas and hot in others 8. Tables are seldom cleaned off. Needless to say we are now going to move our meeting place to another Panera. I love the coffee (when it's there) and I love the free refills. I've never seen so many problems at any other Paneras...it has to be the management team (or lack thereof.) Be warned! read more

My father in law decided this is where he wanted to go for his birthday lunch this year. Aside from being very busy on A Sunday it was a very pleasant surprise from our usual lunch spots. There were ten of us and we each had something slightly different. The kids all had sanwiches with soup or chips. The Roast beef was the most popular. Followed by the grown up grilled cheese who doesn't like bacon on thier grilled cheese? I had the chicken avocado salad, it was very good but very large, next time I would go with the half size. The only soup that wasnt tried that day was the tomato. Two thumbs up from everyone who had the broccoli cheese. I tasted the chicken pot pie soup, it was perfect for a winter's day but I was too full from my salad to have a cup. We ended lunch with giant cookies. The employees went above and beyond to help me with my two children. I also heard them talking to regulars behind me guessing what their order would be and getting it started. It felt so warm and loving at a time when we really need more of that. I will be back. read more

I love this particular location! It's close to my house and the service is excellent - that's saying a lot these days!!!

...again today...stopped in Plainfield panera yesterday and they ran out of sprouted grain bagels...today this one's out. ..I know...why return...nothing worst than knee jerk mgt...Midwest lags way behind coastal advancement in restaurant food quality...only reason local panera has it is because they have coastal stores...locals too mentally slow to see it...no other local restaurants have it yet...I love nyc! read more

First time ordering at this location. A couple of us at work ordered take out. Called ahead and they said it would take an HOUR! Ridiculous but we had time. Went to pick up @ 55 minutes and was not ready! A lady ordering take out there next to me had her food done first.....but I called ahead and was going to take an hour?!? Waited about 10 min as I watched them make my orders. As I checked my bag before leaving, they had forgotten chips! Had to ask for those. Food was very good. That is why I am giving 2 stars. They may claim their salads are clean, however, they are also completely clean of any flavor. Orderd the romaine and kale caesar, which came almost completely undressed, with powdered parmesan dumped on top. Free wifi is just about the only acceptable thing about this spot. read more

Went through the drive thru to order a bagel. They were out of everything except cinnamon or whole wheat. I reluctantly chose whole wheat because I was already in line. When I got to the window the employee told me they sold my bagel to someone else and asked if I wanted the cinnamon. "You sold my order?" Not going back to that Panera ever again. read more

The food is decent, although the bacon is seriously skimpy on the sandwiches. But the service of late has been awful! Salty associates who don't seem to want to be there... after making errors on the order. This has happened twice in the last two weeks! Rudeness maximized and I will not return. Every time I order online for pickup they always mess my order up, I choose field greens and they always give me romaine lettuce. They never have any avocado there, no bread smh this location is a complete mess. They need a new manager or a complete overhaul. read more

I went through the drive thru. I failed to mention I wanted a spoon to eat my soup with and caeser dressing to go on my caeser salad. Luckily, I was able to carve a spoon out of my abnormally stale bread. The bread spoon didn't hold up to my expectations. read more

Food is great but service STINKS! Kaleigha in the drive through has one speed SLOOOOOW! No customer service here! She actually brought my order to the window and it sat on the counter for 6 minutes while I could see her wandering around the store in sloooooow motion. She finally came back to the window, got the drink order ready for the next order and then FINALLY bagged my order and gave it to me. This is the poorest run Panera I have ever encountered. They are close to me so I generally go by once or twice a week. They are ALWAYS out of some key item e.g soup at 5:30 pm, baguette side at 6:30 at night, etc!!! read more

It looks healthy and flavorful, but the roast beef was grey and covered in fat. Likewise, the tomato and basil soup was so rich, it tasted unhealthy. Lastly, the cookie was terrible. All in all, I was pretty disappointing in the quality of the food. read more

While I go to this Panera often and usually have mediocre service, the food should at least be to spec and typically is. That what chains are meant for - you can go to any one of them and get your food the same. Today, they didn't give us our drink, which my pregnant friend had to go back in to get, she got the wrong soup, and I had no bacon on my Goddess Cobb. Then when we called to let them know of their mistake, we were told that they were busy and asked us to call back. TERRIBLE mistake on customer service. On top of this, I was charged $1 to replace the chicken on my salad with an egg, bringing my total to a whopping $14 for a salad and a drink. Ridiculous. Panera, you're losing me. read more

Thought this place would get better after all the bad reviews, the service is horrible. Employees are Consistently so rude. No please, no thank you and so unfriendly. Service is so slow and about 90 percent of the time they get your order completely wrong. They're also always out of everything. Today I came to Panera Bread to study and eat lunch. I approached the counter to place my order and the server asked for my order. That was fine, but then when I asked if there was combination on the menu that consisted of a whole sandwich and a side of soup, she said no and that I would have to order them separately. This again would be fine. She neglected to mention that there were different sizes of soup to choose from and rung me up for a bowl. She then preceded to ask me about my sides, which the choices were bread, an apple or a bag of chips. Because the orders had to be separate, I had to choose two sides. Since I already ordered a whole sandwich, I didn't want to get any bread as a side, I was interested in knowing if I could combine the two sides and trade them in for one of the upgraded sides, such as a fruit cup. I as told no. Then when I was being rung out, I asked if they had different sizes of soup, since this wasn't mentioned to me. Then the server had an attitude and said you asked for a bowl. I didn't ask for anything except soup. Then I suggested that maybe in the future she mention that there were different sizes since I didn't see this on the menu. Then I guess a manager was listening in and just completely tried to take over and was completely huffy with me and said he'd just give me my money back and I could get whatever I want. To those reading, this may sound like a good deal, but for me it wasn't about spending the money, I just wanted to get the order I wanted and be understood. I didn't think it was too much to ask the server to mention sizes of bowls of soup. For crying out loud, it's her job. I don't have the menu memorized by heart to know all of the different combinations that may be available. That's' why I rely on the servers to communicate choices and menu options. This apparently is not what the manager said and he preceded to get loud with me to the point that those around were looking in confusion. Then he kept wanting to come around and talk to me about the incident in a very loud manner as if I was being completely unreasonable. I didn't ask for anything except a freakin' side upgrade to a fruit cup. Seriously!! I politely told him I didn't care to discuss the matter anymore and preferred to be left alone. I did not have a good experience today which is unfortunate. I would not recommend this Panera, there are many other Paneras that don't seem to come equipped with high-strung managers that clearly need to learn communication skills and customer service minus the attitude. read more
