Chicken Tortellini Alfredo-Served Almost Cold TWICE! We ate at Panera Bread in Spokane Valley this afternoon around 4:30. When we arrived, the floor was dirty with crumbs and paper scraps--we should have left then. My husband wanted broccoli cheese soup, but they were out--at 4:30. He got onion soup and a sandwich. I ordered Chicken Tortellini Alfredo. When it arrived, the pasta was lukewarm and the chicken was actually cold. My husband took it to the counter and explained the problem. A few minutes later, someone brought a replacement, but again the pasta was lukewarm and the chicken was cold. I took it back and the server asked what I wanted to do. I asked if they could put it in the microwave and heat it up. She told me I could do that myself and directed me to a microwave. I began to heat it up and the manager arrived. He asked what the problem was and I explained. He said I could get something else or a refund. At this point, I was taking my plate out and I walked back to my table, fully expecting him to follow me and hand me a voucher or explain how to get a refund. When I arrived at the table, he was completely out of sight. No other employee approached us. $9 for a dish that I personally had to heat up. We will not be back. read more

The autumn squash soup was really delicious, smooth and creamy, with nice seasoning. The pepitas on top were not crunchy and a bit stale. The grilled cheese was very disappointing - although the cheese was melted, I wonder if it was melted in a steam oven? I was so excited for Panera to open, and they did not disappoint in the food arena. The coffee was so bad it was almost undrinkable, I ordered a mocha and my daughter got a caramel late, they both tasted like dirty water with no discernable mocha or caramel flavor. I will definitely come back for the food but will never get a coffee here again. The service was really good for an opening week, friendly and helpful. Overall it was a good experience. read more

I'm always impressed with the variety of food at Panera, as I was with this one. However, I was not impressed with the layout, seating area, etc. I have been to many locations, and for the most part they have been welcoming, accommodating and warm. This one feels very industrial, cold and lacks comforting character. We were going to have our staff meeting here on occasion but have decided to continue at our regular spot. Kinda disappointed, sense we all were excitedly waiting for this one to open. read more

The pear hibiscus drink was absolutely awful. I felt the bread was a little hard for a sandwich and the employees are forgetful, uninterested and a little rude. Honestly expected more from a new business in spokane. I like fresh bread but I'll stick with schlotzskys for that. read more

The food is good my only complaint is everytime they forget to give me something on my order. Like yesterday I ordered the Green Goddess Cobb salad and my salad didnt even have avocado or the egg in it! I was very dissapointed. read more

Speedy service. Great food that is healthy for you too. Employees are extremely friendly and ready to help. Mistakes are rarely made and if something does come out wrong they do more than enough to solve the problem as well as give you a free pastry which is always nice!! Love the food & service inside. I went through the drive through and ordered a salad that was supposed to have chicken. Got home and no chicken. Their phones do not go to voicemail during or after business hours. I finally emailed the Panera website they apologized, said they would said a gift card and never did. Food great, customer service FAIL!!! Why have a number to your business if you don't want to answer the phones to receive orders and information during business hours? WOW Paid $20 for 2 tiny salads and two "cups" of soup, the salad look like it had been sitting out all day and I was unable to eat it, the soup was good but I got less than 1/3 of a cup...... and the same with my wife's food. This is a great place to grab some lunch if you are driving through the Spokane Valley. Anytime I am heading out to cda, I make sure to stop here to get something. I'm slowly discovering the pastries and the muffins. Panera is a good place for lunch. The menu is plentiful prices are average and the quality is excellent. Not real thrilled about the long booth. Not as inviting as other Paneras I've been to. The architecture looks like a chain fast food restaurant. It will be awhile until I return, I feel rushed because it's new and crowded. read more

Great location right off I-90; don't follow the Yelp directions we almost missed it. Warm, inviting staff and atmosphere.

Food was fine but the price was astronomical. We paid $21 for 2 cups of soup, half a grilled cheese, and half a steak and arugula sandwich. It would have been fine (I guess....) if it was at all filling, which it wasn't. I ended up eating other things when I got home. Every time I'm at panera, I get the broccoli cheddar soup. The great thing about this franchise is that the food is truly consistent with each location! The service is always top-notch and I've even been given a complimentary cookie if they feel I have waited too long. The paninis are amazing, but the carrot cake is to die for. I will say that the bread bowl is not a good deal. You get a lot less soup for a lot more money. read more

Been there a couple times now and have heard mixed reviews. My take is that for a new establishment in the valley, nothing really makes it wow me. It is clean inside and the fireplace area is nice but only 1 table can really enoy that feature. They are set up to take as many orders as possible then send you down the Isle to await your order in a conjested line. Sandwiches ordered did not have the ingredients as menu stated but did make it right by giving new ones. Power smoothie had ice cubes in the bottom of the serving container the size of nickels. The food here is great just like every other panera that I've been to. Unfortunately they seemed to have hired a bunch of kids to run this place so make sure your order is right or they will mess it up. I've been back a few times and every time I order more than one thing off the menu they can't seem to get it right. They need some serious quality control at this location. read more

I've Only been here twice and both times they managed to Butcher our order. We went through the drive thru and when the fella read the order back to us it was 99% inaccurate. So we corrected him and went on our way up to the window. After we received our food I looked in the bag to find what looked like part of our order mixed with someone else's order. Instead of cheddar broccoli soup, we got 2 bags of chips, 2 children's yogurts and a cup of Mac and cheese. The grilled cheese i ordered for my daughter was only grilled on one side and they forgot our lemonade! So I went in and talked to what appeared to be the supervisor. She was super apologetic and made everything right. Also she hooked us up with a couple of scones which was rad. At least their food was good, but come on, get it together dudes!! No attention to detail! I went through the drive thru for 2 sandwiches, 2 soups, 2 drinks and cookies. They said that "due to the size of the large order" (!) to pull up front and they'd bring it to me. They did, about 10 minutes later. Drove back to Spokane and they didn't include the beverages I ordered .... no attention to detail. Then I tried calling to tell them. The wait staff was helpful and very polite.The food was good. We had soup and salad and soup and sandwich. The restaurant was clean. Waiting to pick up your own food is awkward due to space confines and your plate is not well marked. I like that they offer three side, but was surprised when my side of apple slices, was a whole apple. They only had two gluten free cookies at the time, but the chocolate one was above great!
