We try to stay away from crowds. We cook at home and often get takeout. Tonight we decided to order from Panera as their food is usually very good. Ordered over the phone and paid...not cheap, surprised me. Was told my order would be ready in 15 minutes. Got there in 20 minutes and wasn't ready. Asked twice and finally asked for manager. She informed me that the order had not been processed. ...working on it...30 minutes later I was told my order was ready. Not once did the manager apologize and actually didn't seem to care. Restaurants are having a tough time. I am surprised this one is still open. They won't being seeing any of my business in the future. There are many others that appreciate us. read more

I was so excited to finally try the breakfast sandwich at Panera. The ad they sent me online showed a perfectly cooked over easy egg oozing its yolk down the soft bread when it's cut in half. What I actually received at Panera felt like a bait and switch because the over hard egg had no ooze and no flavor. The sandwich was such a disappointment that all I could think is how much better I could have made this myself at home. Save your money, and make breakfast at home. The portions are less here than some other locations. Our lemon aide and smoothy was a small cup here. Got the same thing down the road at the mall, same price, full size cup. Good food. Panera is a restaurant and a bakery in one. You can purchase loaves of bread soup bread bowls, and pastries. They have six to eighty daily soups. Sandwiches and salads. My favorite song is the autumn squash soup. It starts in late September and runs until January. I also like the pink ribbon bagel for the month of October for breast cancer. I usually love Paneras across the Bay, but I think this experience falls into the "average" category. The cashier was warm and welcoming, especially to my grandmother who had not a clue what to order. My grandmother did note, however, that Panera didn't carry any sugar free items, which might be a good area for improvement. I ordered the Chicken Sonoma Stew, which is delicious. But they served it luke warm and only provided a little under half a bowl of soup. We sat in a booth near the door, where we got to listen to a small child screaming for almost an hour. I have been a loyal customer to Panera for many years. This location is by far the worst. After my visit today, I will not return to this location. I have been ordering lunch to go from the Carrollwood Panera 2 to 3 times per week for about 6 months. I always get a salad and ask for an extra dressing. I usually never get the extra dressing and always have to check the order for accuracy, as they almost never get the whole order correct. Today I ordered a salad to go at 2:34 pm, the restaurant was not busy. I was in a hurry to get back to work and did not check my order before leaving. Not only did I not get an extra dressing, but the one dressing I did get was only a quarter full. The salad had no dressing on it at all so, needless to say, my salad was completely dry after putting the 1/4 teaspoon of dressing on my salad. I called to give them some feedback and let them know that oversight of the to-go orders was a big opportunity. I am a manager so I understand the importance of constructive customer feedback to be made aware of and help fix an ongoing issue. I called the location when I got back to work to speak with management and make them aware of the problem. The first time I called I was instantly placed on hold for 3 minutes. When an associate picked up, I asked to speak to a manager and instead of being placed on hold I was disconnected. Thinking this might have been an accident I called back. This time the phone was picked up and I was instantly hung up on, not even a hello. I called back a third time and this time I was given to a young sounding woman who identified herself as a manager. I relayed my issue and let her know why I was notifying her (because it was an ongoing opportunity). She responded "Oh, Sorry about that" and hung up. Extremely dismissive. I am so disappointed. I spent three or four afternoons a week there having lunch and giving tutorials over the last six months, so I know it well. Food is standard Panera chain, okay but nothing to rave about, with a good selection of bagels and breads (goes without saying), Service is very prompt and eager to please. Coffee quality from the dispensers is kinda spotty; several times I had to ask for a refresh from the staff. Wait staff is constantly turning over and inexperienced, but very friendly. WiFi is good with a very limited # of outlets however. This Panera is notable for its resident bum, a disgusting if harmless figure who occupies a nook area off to the side and spends the entire day eating and drinking stuff he gets from the garbage and given to him by a woman. Why the cafe tolerates a non-paying customer and doesn't just give him excess food at the end of the day is beyond all comprehension. Maybe he's a relative of the manager! read more

Panera is back in the game! History: Panera used to have great fresh food and plentiful servings and then went through a spell of a redesigned menu with tiny portions and reduced 'wow" ingredients so we stopped going. I have had the opportunity to meet for two business lunches at this restaurant over the last couple of weeks and have been super impressed that they are now serving great fresh food with normal size portions again! Yeah! This will return them to my staple list of great salad, soup and flatbreads once more. Their sandwiches and soups are always a go to for me and they even offer a wide variety of bakery products for a special treat. I have to say that over and over Panera Bread delivers a great meal at a very resonable price. The pick two for $7 is a great lunch and I have tried all of the sandwiches and most of the soups. This really is a great Panera. Of every location I have been to, this location has the best customer service. The store is very clean minus a few minor things but in the grand scheme of things it is perfect. Today I had a not so great experience that had turned into a great experience. My sandwich was not correct but it was not the line workers fault, my order is very confusing. The young man who helped me was named Niko and his coworker was Juan. Both very hard working young men who wanted to help me in the best way possible. They offered to remake my food the way I wanted and were kind enough to bring it to me while I waited at my seat. Niko and Juan did more than make my food spectacular, they made me have the best Panera experience ever! These two boys deserve around of applause and deserve to be noticed at their workplace! Honestly, i had a really bad experience today with the Panera staff. They were incredibly rude to me and other students who were utilizing their patio for an imperative study session. Not only did they interrupt us multiple times, paying customers, but they couldn't even do so in a respectful manner. This behavior has single handedly convinced at least 30 people to never return to this location. When being asked repeatedly to move there was a complete lack of manners or respect and they also neglected to tell us why we had to move, instead they orchestrated the worlds most disrespectful game of musical chairs. read more

Ok Panera, you broke my heart! I haven't lived near a Panera location in years so I was so excited to eat here again! I will say that the staff was extremely friendly and kind during my visit and quickly processed my to go order during the lunch rush. However, when I got home I was so disappointed. I got the pick 2 with the chicken avocado blt sandwich and French onion soup, and the sandwich ingredients were awful. The bacon was like shoe leather, the avocado was hard as a rock, and the tomato was clearly extremely under ripe. Add that the bread was very obviously stale, and it ruined my lunch. Soup was delicious, but hardly makes up for such a disappointing sandwich. Still 3 stars in hopes this was a one time problem. read more
