Daughter and I dropped by before class to pick up Christmas cake for our students. Renovations were going on exteriorly. The bakery was well occupied with customers. The lady at the counter answered our question of whether there was coconut in the ganache cream cake slice, helped us check out, and put the various slices of Christmas decorated cake slices (soufflé cheesecake piece, strawberry soft cream cake piece, blueberry chiffon cake piece, blueberry yogurt cake piece, and tiramisu cake piece) in boxes for transport. The slices of cakes tasted really good with fresh fruit and cream and not being too sweet. The blueberries were huge. The cake slices were decorated very nicely with candy canes and gingerbread boys. Our students' eyes lit up and they were happy seeing the cake treats we had brought them. Students from other classes wanted to be part of our class seeing the nice treats. The selection of cake as a treat was perfect as we were teaching our students the cultural and sacred Christmas celebrations in America. I would preorder a Christmas cake. read more

Delicious Korean bakery. Love coming here and getting their croissant. Very soft and crispy and quite buttery. They also have red bean bun which I love and croquettes and cronuts. This is my go to place for cakes! They are always so delicious and nicely presented. They offer happy birthday decorations, candles, and a plastic knife, which I always forget to get so it's super convenient and a huge added bonus when you're on the go or are forgetful. This morning, I was greeted by many employees. The person who always stands out is John. I always get amazing customer service from John. Instead of talking over the counter, he walked to the displayed cakes next to me and went over the cakes. He's so helpful and friendly. This has happened on a number of occasions. I was able to try several items at the event and it was a good introduction but I have returned again and again for some of the goods that I didnt get to enjoy that day. The items that keep me coming back is the macaroons so good and all varieties of flavors. They are wonderful for a quick hostess gift. I have a love-hate relationship with PB. I love their pastries so much I end up hating myself whenever I would step on a scale after words. I had dinner nearby and dropped in right before closing to grab a slice of cake and some tea to wash it down with. Opted to keep it simple and went with their Strawberry Cream Cake slice, a peanut pastry/bread and a castella with a hit Earl Grey Tea to balance out the sweet. It was the best choice I've made all week. The castella was super rich from all the butter and the slice of cake was decadent and not too sweet. The cashier was seemed a bit shy but they had my tea order out almost immediately. The interior is spacious and looks very open. Truth be told, I was never a huge fan of Paris Baguette for many years. But this time when I went to the Culver Heritage Plaza mall, I decided to go give it a go. Paris Baguette did not fail me this time. Paris Baguette (PB) was so delectable. Their sausage bread was crunchy, flakey, and soft with the sausage bursting with flavor. It was truly delectable. But what made my PB experience so much higher in quality and overall an award winning experience was the service provided by one of their employees, Anneka. I asked her what breads were most popular and best selling because I haven't been in there in such a long time; she took the time to explain so many different delectable breads in great detail that helped me choose the bread that ultimately changed my opinion of PB for the better. Anneka helped me at the register and even offered me gift packaging because I bought a cake for a dinner party. She even offered me the candles which I needed as well; sure saved me a trip to the Ralphs next door. Such impeccable service and personalization! Is that the prices seem to be a dollar more per every item and almost 3 dollars on one also sandwiches which we eat a lot of less of everything they're smaller and they charge more. "Oh yeah, there's a Paris Baguette in that plaza!" Me around 5:30pm before dinner last week. I usually always go to the one closer to my house in Garden Grove but it was the opposite direction of where I was heading to that night and I didn't have enough time to double back. This location in Irvine saved the day and I was able to pick up a cake without being late for our reservation. My favorite part about getting a cake at Paris Baguette, is 1: there's always ample supply-no having to special order. 2: need candles? Just ask and they'll provide complimentary ones (their candles are perfect-longer so they're sitting higher in the cake-easier to blow put & bottoms are wrapped in foil so it doesn't get wax into the cake) 3: Happy Birthday signs that you can easily place on the cake yourself (made of chocolate so they're edible too) 4: they also provide a complimentary cake cutter (the back of which has the matches to light your candles). Talk about covering all the bases. The staff/cashier working the front that night was always super helpful and I happily walked out with my cake mins after getting there.
