Finally, I was allowed to physically walk into this bakery. This is because I like to say that I have a sweet saber-tooth. Why do I call it saber-tooth? Imagine the size of a human tooth vs a saber-tooth. :) So, usually every time my wife and I pass by one of these locations, with a gasp I exclaim, "Paaariiss Bagueettttte!!" And then she always tells me that I don't need to go there because I need eat healthy, yadda yadda yadda. But, this magical day. Yes, magical indeed, I was able to step foot through the portal, sending me over into an alternate reality. Perhaps, I was only dreaming. Oh no, this is real, I am inside a Paris Baguette. So, now that I had made it inside, I was excited to think about what adventures lie before me. I looked over on the left through the glass door shelves to see what were all the left over options, there wasn't much. And shockingly, I now realized that I wasn't even craving anything. How could this be, that I was actually inside one of my fav places and I didn't care for any of it? But instead, my wife was that one craving something and we ended up picking up this tapioca bun. Must be the twilight zone ! *nee nuu nee nuu* (is that how the song sounds?) Anyhow, we noticed that there weren't any of those wax paper left. And us, being paranoid about germs (Yes, I guess these still existed in this Paris Baguette dimension), we didn't want to put the bun directly on those trays without any wax paper. So, instead we did the clamp method with the tongs and just grabbed a bun and held it through the line. In a way, I was paranoid that I might actually get bumped by someone in line. This would, in high probability, send this little ball through the air and plopping on the floor. I could imagine my pain if that happened, like a soccer player missing a PK. But maybe it wasn't too bad. Since the hard part was actually making it into the store, why not defy more odds and do a matrix move to avoid losing my bun? Anyway, I guess we were still hungry so we were looking at the pre-made sandwiches. The egg salad sandwich looked tempting. However, after seeing some condensation on the package, we were unsure about how long it had been there. Eating soggy bread would make an unenjoyable meal and we would hate to waste the food by tossing it away. And then, it came upon us. A possible lifesaver! There was a ham and cheese baguette! After all, if the bakery is called baguette, then the baguette has to be good right??! So, we decided to purchase that also. We asked the kind and helpful cashier to have it toasted. I wanted ensure the bread is crispy! If it's crispy, then it can't be soggy! So, all was done and transaction was complete. And we stepped out of the portal and we're back. Just like the song "Back to life" by Soul ii Soul. So, we first had a taste of the ham and cheese baguette. It still had a slight crunch sound when we ate. So that was a plus. But what I didn't enjoy was that the ham and cheese part was still pretty cold. It probably just needed to be toasted a wee bit longer. Next, my wife enjoyed her fav tapioca bun and it was literally "SO GOOD". I didn't get to try any though since I wanted to let her get the full experience of the bun. She rarely ever says anything is really good so it really must have been good. Not to mention, it was finished completely and not a crumb remained! So, if ya ever wandering around this location, then definitely swing by and try a tapioca bun. And if you want to try the ham and cheese baguette maybe request for extra toasted (if that's possible). read more

I've gone to other locations before but this was my first time visiting this Mountain View location. Came by on a weekday afternoon just to pick up a couple baked pastries for lunch. This is a really nice looking location! Right along the strip of Downtown Mountain View, so this area has lots of different bakeries and restaurants within walking distance. The pastries looked great and really fresh. The whole set up looked organized and clean. If I was in the Mountain View area again, I would consider returning to this place. While shopping in this cute town of Mountain View, stopped into Paris Baguette for some goodies. They have a wide display of both savory and sweet items. When you enter, use hand sanitizer then pick up a tray with a paper sheet for the tray and the tongs to pick up items. Make sure you close each of the doors to ensure that no flies enter in the case! Some are individually wrapped while other pastry items are freely in the display cases. Once you have your items, you bring your tray to the cashier to make your purchase. Customer service was pretty efficient as it got busy after i arrived. Cashier appropriately placed my items in a box and i was good to go after payment. All the items i got were all really good,except for the curry one that the flavors were all off and was not edible to me. I was very pleased with the vegan items. read more

I've always liked Paris baguette, they make great cakes. However we were here last night and this place was filthy. Paper everywhere, they were out of forks and knives. There's grime on all the tables, and God forbid you had to use the bathroom! It was unhygienic, out of toilet paper (which the employee gave me after I requested it) I don't like bashing on businesses which are doing good work. After searching high and low for a patisserie for our picnic, Paris Baguette ended up as the winner! Hands down, the variety here was really exciting. The one in Milpitas has been my birthday cake spot for the past two years, but I hadn't purchased anything aside while there since nothing else caught my eye. However, at this location, we had seen Oreo croissants, cronuts, mochi donuts, and so much more I hadn't seen elsewhere! I ended up buying a little bit of everything (including a tray of macarons) and the price was a bit higher than what I normally pay elsewhere which is a bit of a downside since I didn't anticipate paying $50 for desserts! (Not to mention, this was just what I chose, my friend chose other things on a separate order) When I go to Andersen's or 85°C , I'd likely be able to get double the amount for half the price (if not a little over). In case you're on a budget, it's good to be mindful about the prices! It's easy to get carried away, but it'll save you time and a surprise at the register. Overall, this was a fun location to see and view. Everything that I had purchased was fresh, enjoyable, and ready to eat. The staff here was really friendly, and the general atmosphere was enjoyable (despite us not staying long). I've seen so many YouTubers try out Paris Baguette so I had to give it a try. I was a little disappointed by the mochi doughnuts, which was way too oily and small for the price :( The matcha filled croissant, however, was so good!!! Located in downtown mountain view parking is plentiful but at times hard to find. The store wasn't too crowded. Background noise is also kept to a minimum. It wasn't too loud and the music wasn't blaring either. Do note there are alot of machines running which caused quite a bit of noise. There's a lot of seating so this place is good for groups. I recommend the fruit pastry, croissant donut, and mini fruit pastry. The cream for all of the cakes/pastries were super fluffy and creamy and not too sweet. Google/apple pay is accepted. Overall Paris Baguette in Mountain view is a good spot to hang out and grab a yummy piece of dessert. This place gets an A from me. read more

Ordered a ham & cheese baguette sandwich via DoorDash where I somehow saw a picture (that I can't find right of a lovely French baguette cooked precisely the way it should be -- light, browned, crispy. I received the abomination photographed below. Pale, uncooked, tasteless, dense baguette with sweetened ham on it. I accidentally confused this place with La Baguette at Stanford which sells a great French ham & cheese baguette, prepared as it should be. Paris Baguette is a dessert lovers dream! The first time I came in here, I didn't realize how many desserts I've never tried but needed in my life. Everything tastes incredible and well baked. My friend and I came here for dessert shortly after being at Alexander Patisserie. We wanted a little bit more dessert but didn't want to spend all that much for it like we would have over there. We ended up getting the mixed berry creme brulee. It was okay, the creme brulee wasn't terrible, but I've definitely had better. It was also a bit strong on the mixed berry taste, as that overpowered the caramelized sugar taste you would normally get from a good creme brulee. Paris Baguette has become my favorite place to satisfy my sweet tooth craving. This place is located in Mountain View downtown which has always been my favorite place to go for food or hang out with friends. Even with the pandemic, it is still my favorite. As it is located in Mountain View downtown, you can easily get dinner at one of the many delicious restaurants in Mountain View downtown. With things being half open and half closed, there is plenty of outdoor seating with HEATERS so you don't have to worry about getting too cold. Paris baguette itself does have you wear a mask and you can still be distant from others but keep in mind that occupancy limits have gone up so if you are still worried, be aware. Parking in Mountain View is still ok. There are lots and two parking garages so choose wisely for good parking and remember where you parked! You are likely to forget at the end of your scrumptious meal and dessert! As a Wizards Unite fan, I am happy to say that taking a walk around Mountain View downtown is sure to get you plenty of confoundables, energy, and ingredients. Took a bite and the mangos fruit pieces throughout tasted sour and I noticed they didn't look fresh. Really gross. Pretty sure it was sitting there for a while. I was pretty disappointed with my latest trip here -- popped in to order a coffee because my son wanted to get a donut after lunch nearby. First, there were no more paper liners to place on trays for the self service bakery. I had to ask someone to get the liners, which I found a little surprising given COVID. Second, as I was waiting to pay there was clear confusion on where to line up / who should go first, as I was part of a natural line coming from the self service bakery goods while some other lady was creating a separate line to order at the register. Third and what frustrated me the most was that I ordered a latte and they forgot about my drink. I had to gesture to and inquire with the staff at least twice before someone worked on my drink, and when I finally asked to cancel my order I was given a rude " she's already working on it / it's almost ready" response. Horrible customer service knocks this place down from a 3 star to a 2, as I've been to other Paris Baguette locations where the baked goods look less dingy and the service is much better! I believe my poor experience is fairly consistent vs. a one off, as I have previously ordered a cake online for pick up here and it was similarly a super slow process where I had to wait way too long because staff was not paying attention and/or unorganized. I saw the same thing happen with a man picking up this second visit. Do not recommend coming here, especially when there are several alternative bakery / pastry options [albeit pricier] within 2-3 blocks. read more

Brought a chocolate strawberry cake right before thanksgiving day. The guy at the cashier did not give me the cake from the display but took a cake from the back. He confirmed with the lady in the back and the cake was already in the box when he took it out so I can't see inside as it was all sort of fog up and cold. There was something off between their interaction. I thought it was a newer cake but as it turns out the cake might not be fresh. We took it out on thanksgiving morning to eat it with my son and the cream on the top of the cake is already cracking up. Multiple cracks on the top all over the top like the cake has been sitting in the fridge for a while and all drying up. The inside of the cake is all soggy and soaked up like eating a wet sponge. I think Paris Baguette losing. I ordered strawberry cream cake, She gave me chocolate strawberry cream cake. It tasted like 3 days old. Cream tasted really blend watery and bad. I don't think I will feel good tomorrow. It tasted really bad. Nothing like chocolate or vanilla.. tasted like something plain cream and bread. I ended up throwing them away it was disgusting. Said they could make a hot tea or iced coffee, ordered the Earl gray and it tasted like hot water with a taste of milk( this place just doesn't care and just does good numbers because it's in a good location, if you are not going to make coffee or hot chocolate, please let the customers know.
