The even have brunch on then menu for like omelettes Coffee was decent in my opinion, price was also reasonable but the pastries were quite expensive. A sausage bun was like $5 but I still couldn't resist getting one everything I walk pass the bakery cos it's so delicious. Parking in the back of the building! This past weekend we visited this location to pickup a cake to share with my parents, whom were visiting from Northern California. My husband and I decided it would be nice as we had just gotten married, and both love Paris Baguette for special occasions. My husband's first time trying Paris Baguette was a few weeks ago for his birthday when I ordered the Red Velvet Cake for him. He ended up falling in love with this cake, but I wanted him to try another flavor. We decided it would be nice to get the full size of the Chocolate Chiffon, which is chocolate bread w/ white frosting as an individual slice. My husband and I asked the guy named "Emerik" if the full size is also like the individual size as they looked completely different from the outside. I wanted to make sure the full size wasn't entirely chocolate as it looked like it would be. He responded with yes it's the same and laughed as if we were stupid for asking. I kept emphasizing that they looked different, but he kept assuring us that it would be the chocolate bread with white frosting once we cut it. Upon arriving home and cutting it we realized "Emerik" had lied to us and the cake wasn't like the individual slice. My husband got furious and it ruined our evening with my parents. We ended up having to drive all the way back to complain, and asked for the red velvet instead. It's unfortunate that they hire people who don't care about giving customers a great experience, and ensuring they are providing accurate information about cakes. This is the closest location to our home and it's saddening to know that we may experience this again. I'm not sure how he would think a chocolate cake would turn white once we cut it. Somehow the raspberries were also going to turn into strawberries once we cut it. Please train employees better or hire individuals who actually care. I have always loved visiting pastry shops with fond memories of visiting local corner bakery shops in Taiwan with my mom. I've always had a blast browsing the shelves and relishing at the sight of all the different breads, pastries, and treats. Therefore when I came across a Paris Baguette in downtown Mountain View, I knew I had to go in for a visit. We came in the evening so a lot of their selections have already been wiped clean but I was able to pick up some goodies including a chocolate croissant, a pastry frank, and a curry croquette. This Paris Baguette location is the worst of any I have visited. I agree with the comments below, the customer service is below par. Summary, I ordered a cake for pick up. I arrived 45min after the selected pick up time, thinking it will be a quick no hassle process. At the counter, I requested that they add a birthday message on the cake since there was no option to indicate this online. Clarifying what to write was an ordeal in itself. I wait, 10 minutes pass. Another employee comes to question when I placed the order and request I show my order details. Another 5 min pass and someone (maybe the manager) comes over to tell me they do not have the cake I ordered in stock. I should just pick another cake. What a waste of time! The staff did not take a moment to acknowledge they messed up and were not the slightest bit apologetic. I left with no cake just a refund. A very disappointing experience Paris Baguette, I may try another location in the future but never returning or recommending this location. read more

I bought a cake worth $50 around 10:45pm. They were not very friendly which is ok at this hour as they may be tired. Now the fun part the cake had strawberries and blueberries which were all stale. I would not recommend any of their cakes. Hopeless service and hopeless cakes. read more

Paris Baguette was our choice, on a play date with a friend after an afternoon Castro stroll. We picked this spot after discussing other ideas and dishes at first. I am a first timer to Baguette and I was really excited to try this place and a bit underwhelmed with the service and timing of order. Seemed like it took forever. HANGRY! I got a maple bacon and cheese melt and the price point to serving ratio is off center, but toasted deliciousness none the less. This is a great cafe because a lot of sophisticated and low-key people lounge and use their comps and write in journals. PLUS! Service is lacking as they just open up. Hire more staff and it'll be good. The variety here is limitless with specialties like acai bowls, cold brew, honey cold brew and espresso. Man this place boasts an array of cakes and desserts like tiramisu lady fingers, green tea chiffon, soft mocha cake and many many MORE! Walked in here during lunch with my coworker to get some coffee. Line was long and there was only one cashier. Why staff one person when you know it will get busy during lunch hours? There goes our lunch break. Cashier took our order and asked if we wanted cream and she said yes. Received coffee with no cream. Came here on a weekday night after having dinner! Most things looks like they're closed except a handful of restaurants and this was one of them! There were a few people here, on the left they have the pastries which you can grab yourself and use trays and tongs to gather what you'd like to eat! Then they have a decently big space with many tables where you can chill, chat and eat! Even at around 8:30 - 9pm they still have a good amount of selection! I got a cronut and a custard filled pastry! I believe it was less than $6 in total. It was actually the first time I had a cronut and it was pretty good! It was fluffy, airy and buttery on the inside but the outside it was fried - so good! The baked good also tasted pretty fresh, as if it was baked that day - not sure if it's actually like that though. In the end, I'd definitely drop by next time I'm back in Mountain View! read more

I picked up a cake for my husband's birthday this week. Besides the cake being absolutely delicious, the customer service I received, especially by Roy, far exceeded expectations. There was a little miscommunication on what I wanted written on the cake and Roy offered to fix it without hesitation. He even made the cake like more beautiful than before! I super appreciated his attitude and willingness to help! My friend and I came to Paris Baguette after she had had a small pastry at Alexander's Patisserie since I wanted to walk around a bit. I had no idea that Paris Baguette was a chain; I thought it was just a small little dessert place unique to Mountain View! I guess the fact that I am not from California is obvious now. My friend got some kind of chocolate bread that looked like the poop emoji. I got a simple sugared twist and a hot cocoa. Our whole experience was satisfying. The workers were kind, the pastries were reasonably priced, there was an outlet for my dying iPhone, and complimentary water. Can't really go wrong! However, now they've been open for sometime, the quality of service has dropped significantly. They forgot my coffee order a few times and I had to go back and remind them after 10-15 mins. I was ready for this part of Castro Street to finally have a decent bakery, but this was not what I was waiting for! This is a new Paris Baguette location, it's still within the "soft opening" period, but this location needs help. The baked goods here looks sad and old, nothing like the Paris Baguette in Palo Alto. The service is questionable, and very short on staff. I saw a bunch of flies flying near the front of the baked goods area and I walked out without service. For some reason they keep leaving the front door open and the flies were coming in. I have visited now 3x and each time I am hoping it improves, but it hasn't thus far. read more

Yay, new Paris Baguette location! So happy they opened on Castro. Paris Baguette is one of my favorite bakeries. They pastries are just so good and are usually made at just the right sweetness level. The interior design is quite nice and modern. Not as open as other locations, but they are pretty limited on space. They're new, so I think they have time to improve. I went at late afternoon and the pastries I got tasted a bit old. They were also all cold. These aren't hot baked goods, so I'm not asking them to be piping hot. But comparing them to other Paris Baguette location's baked goods. The taste was still good, though! I can tell it's the same taste, just old tasting. I left and came back in about an hour because I was meeting up with a friend to do homework. I was interested in getting an ice cream because I noticed it from my earlier visit. My friend was going to get tea, However, it was super busy and packed, so we decided to wait. We were so into our work that a little over an hour into our session, an older lady came over to tell us we had to be paying customers or leave. It was awkward as we explained that we were waiting for the line to die down. I also tried to say I had just purchased quite a few items here earlier and had the photos on my phone, but she wasn't having it. So on we went to get in line for an iced tea, hahaha. First time visitor here. Most of the places to eat up and down Castro were closed for lunch today (Christmas Day) except for this place. The pastries were quite delicious and pretty good. The reason why I'm knocking this place down to a 2-star was the horrendous and extremely long wait for a Salted Caramel Mocha coffee. 20 min. just is not acceptable. By the time my coffee was done, everyone in my party finished all their pastries and drinks. I was so embarrassed, I had to play catch-up. The barista looked taxed and the poor guy had a hard time catching up with the number of orders that were starting to pile up. When he was done with my drink, the guy gave me the wrong size so guess what? He had to make it all over again. Another 5 min. I refrained from bursting out in a rage only because it was Christmas Day and I could see the guy already stressed out. Not sure if he was new at making the drinks but it sure felt like it. There was about 6-7 people waiting huddled around the pick up area waiting for their drinks after I walked away and sat down with mine. This place needs to find a couple of barista's that can keep up with the number of drink orders that come in. Also, if you notice, the barista will reuse the same rag to wipe-off the milk froth that collects on the tube dispenser and places it back down on the rack. Seems totally unsanitary to me. read more

Charles helped me search in the cafe ( I thought I dropped while getting coffee at the counter) and walked with me to my car and waited until I called AAA emergency since my phone was dying as well He invited me back to the store to wait and provided a charger so that my phone stays live till service arrived!!!! This was above and beyond any customer service ever! And this was in addition to brewing me a perfect warm mocha :) An absolute sweetheart. Thanks Charles!!! So ever since living in Japan surrounded by Vie de France bakery cafes, I've had a soft spot for this kind of place, even though I'm on a low carb diet at the moment, and look, I don't judge you, do I? Everyone's gotta have a cheat day sometimes. Today's their first day in business at this location with a soft opening, and so far I'm pleased. The interior is sharp and impeccably clean, with more floor space for dining than I'd expected. Their pastries are tasty and pretty to look at as well. I got a ham and cheese 'panini' (not a sandwich but a round baked thing) that I expected to just contain ham and swiss, but was also hiding a little pesto and red bell pepper, and a couple of dessert pastries I haven't gotten into yet. They look and smell great, though, so I'm fully expecting them to be. I also got an Americano with extra room, which for some reason they warned me would change the flavor, but I just chalk it up to being new (or maybe not a coffee drinker?) and not realizing that that's kind of the point. Good espresso, though, it's smooth and rich and steers well clear of the light roast fad (because, y'all, if I wanted to drink lemon Lysol, I would, but I don't, so I don't). Full marks on their espresso for sure. Anyway, happy soft opening, Paris Baguette crew, it's looking good and I'm sure I'll be back more times than I actually want to acknowledge! read more

A very happy although a bit expensive place. We went there after our dinner for dessert and chit chat. I have been there once only and was overwhelmed by the things I want to try out! Definitely, want to go back to taste other things. We tried the "spongy" cheesecake that they have in their fridge on the left. Was too good. Slightly less sweet with no extra toppings etc! Loved it. Something that I want to compliment them on: many times I go to such places with fancy looking seating but the seating is really uncomfortable. Not with Paris Baguette. Really nice ambiance and clean place. The store internet speed is at 61MBS as fast as we had at home. I ordered Adagio Coffee Croissant, Curry Croquettes, Milk bun and alone with a cup of Americano. The pastries were really delicious. Sitting here for awhile I felt that I was being transplanted to Paris. The tables, chairs and benches in the sitting area are spacious and very comfortable.
