Whenever you are craving something sweet, Parlor Doughnuts is a must try! This is not your average donut, it's a cronut! Soft, flaky texture, large portions, with plenty of variety of flavors. Gluten free options are available. They do serve coffee, water, juices as well , but the star of the show is always the cronuts. I've tried majority of the flavors and have never been disappointed. Highly suggest getting there early when they open because that's when they taste the best. Don't let the line out the door scare you. It moves quickly. Price point is a little higher than your average donut shop, just FYI. Plenty of seating outside or take it to go and walk around the pier. Plenty of parking in the area due to the close proximity of the beach and Oceanside pier. read more

Doughy, delicious, large donuts. I really loved the french toast (their most popular) and the smores (though it just tasted like chocolate sauce on a donut). Cookies and cream didn't taste much like cookies and cream either. Service was friendly. But they were out of self-serve napkins and water - making it a little difficult to grab and go. This donut shop was popping when we went! So figured we would try it since our kids were excited to have donuts. Service was ok and the line was moving pretty fast. My coworker came down with these. He picks a new donut place every week and these were sooo good. (Like so good I feel guilty indulging like this before noon...) I got to try the peanut butter cup one as peanut butter is usually what makes a pastry quite unique. The blueberry hill & sandy beach are amazing. This place does not have seating in doors but some tables outside. If you plan on going during busy hours do not be surprised if there is a long line. Regardless of the long lines it's beyond worth it! read more

First time trying this and it's a different experience compared to other doughnuts. It's a very flakey and not to sweet type of doughnut. It taste like a real apple pie. We also had the blueberry hill which was super good as well and not too sweet. I would for sure give this a 5 out of 5 for taste. read more

We took a little detour while on our daily walk to find the place where all the tourist are getting these boxes of donuts they are carrying! We've solved this year long mystery. We're so glad that we did. They even had gluten-free options for me and hubby got a iced mocha which he loved. Staff was super and explaining my gluten-free options and I chose the most popular one which was the French toast. I have a nice little seating area outside. Call ahead to ask if they have keto donuts. Because the place known for keto donuts runs out by 2pm. I made the mistake of coming at 2pm and assuming they would still have some. Definitely won't be driving all the way to Oceanside again for this donut shop. Very disappointed. read more

The young girls working at the front were rude and unwelcoming. They acted bothered by simple questions and seemed more interested in hurrying customers along than providing good service. It felt like they would rather be anywhere else than working there. At this point, I couldn't care less if these were the best donuts in the world I won't be coming back. These donuts are incredible. A must have if you're any sort of a donut fan. The only bad news is once you have these it's impossible to go back to regular mom and pop donut shops. I would suggest getting a few different ones and sharing them, everyone was friendly location was clean. There was a line of people, but it moved very fast. Highly recommend! read more

Really beautiful place right by the beach here in Oceanside. The two working at the counter were very kind and courteous. We tried a variety of flavors that included the popular French toast , strawberry pistachio, s'mores to a must try chocolate for all the chocolate lovers! The dough is moist, soft and chewy and you can definitely see the layers of goodness. This gem is adjacent to Cava and in the Whole Foods plaza. I have no idea why I had not heard about this place before! So happy I found it! Also pleasantly surprised that they offer great vegan options. All donuts looked amazing, but I only had room for one and picked the French toast. I can't say enough details on how doughy that donut was for it to be vegan. You wouldn't even know it was vegan unless you were told/saw the menu. I've never had a vegan donut that doughy and flavorful! Definitely coming back to try their other flavors. Updated review: January 25 at 1:40pm. Just finished lunch at The Lab were was down the street at the corner for my bestie birthday and had to get dessert. There is always room for dessert. ALWAYS. I was here last year with my other bestie, Danielle and we got half dozen to tried out different donuts so this visit was a lesson learned. During this visit, I got the cookie and oreo and this time the raspberry pistachio was 10 times better from my initial visit. Both were soft and moist, the cream of the cookie and cream wasn't too sweet at all and so was the frosting on the raspberry pistachio wasn't. running this time. I knew I should have gotten the turtle but opted out for the cookies and cream but its giving me another reason to head back here when my friends was to eat around here. Services was good, the staff were helpful and even gave my bestie a birthday donut on which she got the sandy beach (you can't go wrong with that one either) Looking forward to coming back to Parlor donuts again, and hopefully soon because as I was updating my review, I saw the turtle donuts and now I really one four of them. read more

Delicious donuts!! We were on our way to pick up our turkey trot bibs and saw a bunch of people holding these boxes. Then my husband said they were doughnuts. We decided to check it out and there weren't many flavors when we came. It was slim pickings as all the good ones were taken. We decided on 3- the blueberry hill, French toast, and cookies and cream. Top 5 Doughnut place for me. I like this better than Sidecar. They are big but not doughy at all. Great mix of flavors. Was in Oceanside for the weekend and got this for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday before we left. The strawberry was a standout and extremely popular. Had to wait till they brought out a new tray. STEPH UPDATE: Their regular doughnuts are great; regular coffee not so much. After my unfortunate brush with their vegan doughnuts the last time around, I decided to get their regular raspberry pistachio donut, which was just what such a doughnut should be. Light and fluffy, with a nice coating of raspberry glaze sprinkled with pistachio bits, it wasn't too gloppy and tasted fresh. Their regular drip coffee, however, was kind of meh--it was acidic-tasting and not that hot (temperature- and taste-wise). Next time I think I'll get an Americano instead. read more

Why I'm giving such a low score is the sale processing, make sure you look at the "tip" section carefully they have it reversed and set to stupid high percentage Left to right "45% ,35%,15%" on the far right . Nice location walking distance from the beach. The selection of donuts is pretty good came around 6 pm and they still had a good variety left. I love the blueberry hill and the French toast. Parking can be hard so you may have to have to park a couple blocks away during peak hours. read more

They're like if a croissant hit the gym, got all fluffy and layered, and then dove into a hot tub of glaze. I went in thinking I'd just try one.Next thing I know, I'm six bites deep and wondering if I need a second mortgage so I can try every flavor. The spot itself is super chill--good music, comfy vibes, and the staff is cool, like the kind of people you'd want to be friends with. In town for a few days with family friends- after dinner, we stumbled upon Parlor Doughnuts while looking for dessert. One look at the display case and it was game over. There were eight of us, all standing there completely undecided because everything looked incredible. The vintage look was a fun vibe- at the counter was Chloe- friendly and ready for us- I think. She was amazing!! After a lot of "Should we get this one?" and "Wait- add that one too," we somehow walked out with four boxes for our three families... zero regrets. The doughnuts tasted just as amazing as they smelled- fresh, warm- perfectly crafted. Each one felt indulgent without being overwhelming, and there was something for everyone. The variety alone makes this place DANGEROUS in the best possible way. We're staying in town for the next four days, and let's just say Parlor Doughnuts has already been added to the repeat-visit list. Quick, delicious, numerous flavors to choose from. This is our second time here. Got the same 2 donuts as our first time : strawberry shortcake and churro. This time we had our son w us and he wanted a blueberry one (which they had) and then just got a vanilla sprinkles to share. The donuts are so airy: croissant-like. Prices for them is not bad, I believe they were $3.75 each. Seating is all outside, which is nice cause your a block from the beach. And once again, no photos cause the donuts got devoured too fast. We will come back! read more

They're also incredibly dog-friendly, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so I always know I'm going to be comfortable, happy, and well-fed. Parking is surprisingly easy too--even on busy PCH, I've always managed to find a spot either on the street or in their small lot. After waiting in a very long line, we were told that this place only accepts exact change. What? Our bill came to $7.31 and we attempted to pay with a $10 bill. They said they could not give us back change, so we would have to give them an extra $2.69 if we wanted our donut and juice. Who owns this place? The girl behind the counter didn't seem to see anything wrong with extorting money from cash paying customers. So I remarked that if we wanted our purchase, one of of would get screwed. Either she gives it to us for $5 and the business eats the $2.31, or we give her $10 and we get screwed out of $2.69. What type of people run a business this way? After the consistently long line of people, they have NO CHANGE to run a business ethically? I grew up in a family business and if we were ever this ill-prepared, we would never expect our customers to take on the burden of our stupidity by claiming that the cash drawer only had "pennies" which the girl at the counter tried to tell us. Our business is still open and thriving 48 years later, I doubt Parlor Doughnuts will ever enjoy that longevity treating customers this way. What a joke this place is! read more

Parlor Doughnuts in Oceanside is hands down the best donut spot in town. From the very first bite you can taste the quality, freshness, and creativity in every donut. Overall, we got the chocolate sprinkles, chocolate, cinnamon toast crunch, fruity pebbles, maple, churro, and glazed. I loved every bite! I figured because they were mini donuts that they would be more of a cake texture which I'm not the biggest fan of, but to me it felt like a mix between cake donut and normal donut. It wasn't too dense and heavy, still felt very light but substantial. I loved every flavor I got, but I think my favorite was the glazed and the fruity pebbles. We also got the chocolate milk and like an orange creamsicle type of milk. Overall, this was a great stop! It traveled well to the beach, kept us filled up for a bit, and tasted really good on top of that. Service was also very nice. If we lived here, I would absolutely come back.
