Mm mmm mm!! I've been here a handful of times and it's such a nice ambiance and true Italian experience. The service is great and the owner does her best to greet each table. When I come I always order a sampler platter, pasta, wine and a sweet dessert. If you're looking for an authentic Italian restaurant, this spot is for you!

Lasagna Alla Parmigiana

Amazing food, you can tell the pasta is handmade. Service was great, we had a reservation and were sat immediately, and were instantly and consistently served bread and topped off our water. I recommend the lasagna, super rich, flavorful, and filling, not like any lasagna you've had before. Tortellini is yummy as well, portion is just a little on the small side. I definitely recommend Parma if you want an authentic Italian experience for reasonable prices.

Pretty quiet on a Tuesday evening. We did not need a reservation. We loved that. The food came out so beautifully. And the owner came out to greet us and brought us our first course. I think it's best to come with a few people to a lot of people so you can get to try all the dishes. We ordered the risotto and spicy chicken. It was so darn delicious!

I don't remember the name, but this is the meat tray for 2 and the tagliolini bolognese.

This place has some of the best food in the valley. I'll be honest, the service can be bad at times. We have went 4 or 5 times and had the best service in this last visit. That doesn't matter though. The food is that good. The meat tray is incredible, like unbelievably good. My wife and I spent the entire night debating what was the best thing on the tray. I had a good glass of wine, we sat outside and the weather could not have been any better. All in all, a great evening.

My friend made a reservation for dinner and I literally cannot wait to come back!! I didn't get a good look inside, but the exterior dining area where we were was absolutely gorgeous, especially at night. Service is easily a 5/5. I didn't catch the name of our server, but everyone that came by our table was super friendly & welcoming! I got the Bolognese Gnocchi. Portion size wasn't that filling, but the pasta itself was excellent. Even plating looked great! For dessert, we got the mousse. It was on the thicker side and very rich and filling! We ordered two, but I think just one would've been enough for the three of us. I will say that so far, this is my favorite spot to get mousse in Fresno/Clovis!

Service was incredible. Very friendly. The portions were very filling. My daughter and I could have definitely shared. Flavor was on point and tasted very authentic. (Lasagna was a little overcooked but flavor was really good) They didn't bring everything out all at once... My daughter got her pasta first, then I got my meal about 5 minutes later and my husband didn't get his entree until 10 mins. later. I got my lasagna then got my steak. I had to let them know when I was ready for my steak. The complimentary bread and butter was nice to have. The butter tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge uncovered for too long though. My husband and I shared my plate while he waited for his... Not sure if that's they how they normally bring it out. One meal per person at a time every few minutes at the same table.... I felt bad that he didn't get his dish at the same time as when my daughter and I got ours. We definitely didn't want my food to get cold while waiting for his food. I didn't like how the tables were placed. It felt really crowded. We were sitting right in front of the door that went out to the patio so I felt like I was just in the way of the servers. My husband called a few days ahead to reserve a table and that's the table we got :(

Antipasti Misti for Two

My bf called 3 weeks in advance for a reservation for Valentine's Day. The only time slots available were 8pm and 8:30pm and he reserved at 8pm. We arrived on time and it was busy as expected. We were seated in the back room and it was pretty tight. We sort of felt like sardines... like we could grab the food off the next table's plate, lol. We were provided table bread with butter. The butter was cold and hard to spread on the bread. We ordered the Antipasti Misti $34 for two to start. It was a wonderful array of appetizers from a spinach apple salad, 2 types of bruschetta, 2 types of quiche, a warm bean salad, caprese, and polenta. The tomato bruschetta was one of the best I've tasted! The tomatoes were flavorful, acidic, and the crostini was soft yet toasted perfectly on the outside. I loved the variety. We enjoyed some more than the others. Overall, it was a great start as we waited for our main entrees. It took awhile. We finished our appetizers and surprisingly, tables next to us, seated after us got their entrees before us. The boyfriend ordered the Filetto di Manzo $60, (filet mignon with potatoes and roasted vegetables). I ordered the Tagliolini $25 (fettuccine noodle w/ a spicy tomato sauce). My noodles felt a bit undercooked, it had more of a bite than al dente. The bf's potatoes were the highlight of his dish. I am not sure what they're called, but we were blown away at how it was made. It was like a block of thin accordion potatoes, topped with a sour cream dressing. The bf enjoyed his entree. The steak and veggies complimented each other well. Just a bit pricey overall. It felt like home style Italian cooking, with high end prices. They fell a little short on service. We're glad we got to try it given many rave reviews, yet it wasn't a hit for us given the price point for the quality of food and experience. We also learned that we're at the age where 8pm for dinner reservations after a long week of working is just too late for us, lol.

Chef course #2 steak

Came here for dinner on Tuesday and it was delicious. Walked in at 6:00pm and we were instantly seated. We ordered a bottle of wine and each did the chefs course #2. I love the strawberry mousse and we also tried the lemon cheesecake. I do prefer the previous strawberry glaze on the dessert over the caramel, however it was still enjoyable. I never switch it up for the pasta as the gnocchi with Gorgonzola sauce is scrumptious! Scott was our waiter for the night. The wine he recommended went splendid with our meal and his service was great!

Out for a lovely holiday dinner with friends. Chef Elena and her staff are so friendly, welcoming and professional. We felt well taken care of. Full house on a Thursday in December, but we called in reservations. Very clean with tasteful bistro decor. We were served bread, butter and bread sticks as always. Ordered a nice bottle of Italian wine, Lumache alla Bourguignonne (escargot), Insalata do Spinaci, Lasagna alla Parmigiana and Pappardelle all' Anatra (duck). Each dish was delicious. Large portions... leftovers tonight! Thank you for a lovely evening.

Chef Elena and Owner- Always so friendly

From the moment you enter Parma you are greeted by Elena the Chef and Owner that graciously goes to each table welcoming her guests and checking on your meals. She takes pride in her Northern Italy Parma region inspired menu and the house made pasta made from scratch daily! I have been coming here since it was at the first location almost 20 years ago. Parma opened in 1999. Tonight we started with Antipasti Misti ($34) Crostini, prosciutto melone (the cantaloupe was so fresh, sweet and juicy, not woody and hard), caprese, frittata, quiche, and Italian bean salad, eggplant medallions and spinach salad. Also tomato bruschetta and peach bruschetta (we thought they were yellow tomatoes at first but the peaches were so fresh and sweet!) absolutely delicious! For the main we had Insalate di Quaglia ($24)- Grilled quail with arugula and Pecorino cheese served with grilled polenta and balsamic reduction. Filet ($58)- served with duchess potatoes and spinach Parma style. Unfortunately the filet came out well done and not medium rare temperature as requested and also came with prosciutto wrapped, but we requested it to be plain and medium rare. We informed the waiter who immediately recognized the mistake and took it back to refire! It took a long time to come back so it was awkward that both meals weren't served at the same time. Elena came by to reassure that it was being corrected. The whipped potatoes that came with it were creamy and delicious. The spinach was also well seasoned and tasty. Special of the Month- Petto d' Aratra- Smoked Duck Breast For dessert: Bavarese al Frutti di Bosco ($11)- Wild Berry Bavarian mousse served with berry sauce Mousse al Cioccolato con Salsa Chantilly- Belgian chocolate mousse served with chantilly From the ambiance to the courteous well dressed staff to the incredible quality of everything on the menu, Parma Ristorante should be at the top of your list if you are looking for the ultimate spot for a Valentines Day dinner or any romantic date night. It's no wonder that Parma Ristorante has received ten California Restaurant Association awards, including "Best Italian Restaurant" and "Most Romantic".

The waiter was super attentive and efficient the entire evening. We went for dinner, so the restaurant was definitely dimly lit, which I think is the atmosphere they're going for. It was a little dark for our taste at first, but we were able to open the blinds. If you enjoy cozy, dim dinner ambiance, this is definitely your kind of place. The menu uses Italian names for many of the dishes, so I wasn't immediately sure what everything was, but once we figured it out, everything we ordered was delicious. The angel hair pasta was simple but absolutely perfect. We also had cheesecake for dessert, and it was fantastic. I also appreciated that they had a kid's menu, plus mini pizza options for kids. My five-year-old only made it through a couple slices because the portions were generous. Definitely come hungry, and don't be surprised if you leave with a doggy bag because the portions are big. Highly recommend!

On my second visit, I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs--and it did not disappoint. The spaghetti was perfectly cooked, with a hearty, house-made sauce that tasted deeply authentic. The sauce had a beautiful balance of savory tomato flavor, herbs, and just the right amount of richness, as if it had been simmering all day. The meatballs were tender, well-seasoned, and full of flavor, not dry or overly dense, but exactly what you hope for in classic Italian comfort food. Every bite felt homemade and satisfying, the kind of meal that reminds you of a family kitchen rather than a restaurant. Valentino's proves that size isn't everything; the small space is remarkably warm and inviting. The relaxed, cozy atmosphere perfectly mirrors the menu, allowing for a meal that feels unhurried. With its genuine family-run charm, the restaurant feels wonderfully authentic and approachable. Beyond the food, the experience at Valentino's is what truly sets it apart. This is our 3rd visit to Dicicco's on Shaw Ave Van Ness Avenues…read more Dicicco's is a family owned restaurant. It has a long and wonderful history here in the Fresno area. Each restaurant is owned by a family member of the original Dicicco's which was located on Belmont Ave. I have great memories of the little brick building. It's where I had my first Dicicco's pizza about 50 years ago! Every visit here has been a delicious experience. Each of our servers has not only provided excellent service but they've made our dining experience a fun one. Elena was our server this evening and she was so much fun! Oh, I almost forgot to tell you about the food! Haha well ... Tonight, my hubby had The Don. The Don is epic! It features Fettuccine Alfredo And Lasagna as part of a 3 main dish combo with your choice of one of their delicious chicken dishes. You have a choice of all the classics: Chicken Parmesan, Chicken Marsala, Chicken Panna, and even Chicken Cacciatore. Can you believe that?! Well, he chose the tried and true Chicken Parm. I was surprised because this has never been his favorite dish but is mine. His dinner was absolutely delicious! But how would I know? He loved it so much that he shared a good bite of each with me. The chicken was tender and cooked to perfection. The marinara was light and well... perfect. The Lasagna? You have to come try it. Just like Nonna's. Well, not My nonna because I'm not Italian, but you know what I mean! I decided to try something different and ordered the Old Blue Eyes. This dish features penne pasta with green onions, fresh spinach, and perfectly cooked chicken breast pieces gently tossed in a delicious pink sauce. Let's have some saucy conversation here. This Pink Sauce is no ordinary Pink Sauce. It has a depth of flavor that is so good and complex that well, you're just going to have to come and experience it for yourself! It's much more than just a marinara with a touch of Alfredo. This is a unique sauce that stands on its own! You really owe it to yourself to discover a Fresno gem that offers the taste and feel of a delicious family dinner in a bright and cheerful setting. We invite you to come and experience this Dicicco's! Their menu offers a variety of dishes not available at the others. Do you have vegetarian or vegan friends or family? We do and were they ever surprised to have more than one choice. Don't forget... You can add a soup or salad for a modest charge. Along with the salad they offer a choice of homemade Minestrone or Cream of Zucchini. Either are good choices but... If you're a Clam Chowder lover come in on a Friday when you can find it made fresh. Friday is also the only day that they do not serve Cream of Zucchini. If you have the chance to order the Cream of Zucchini do it! My husband is Very picky and if he liked it you're sure to love it! I absolutely enjoyed every delicious spoonful! It was light yet warm and comforting. A soup that is perfect for a chilly night like tonight. It's so good that it's worth going out to dinner just to have a bowl of it with some of their fresh, hot buttered bread. Yum!! (PS:#1 Elena deserves a raise. She was so much fun. If I had a restaurant I'd try to steal her! #2- Do not ever let go of the person who made that Cream of Zucchini soup because it's worthy of the Soup Nazi!
