The restaurant was clean, including the restroom. The service was warm, friendly, and prompt. The food also arrives quickly. The food tasted good but not phenomenal. We sampled the lamb, shrimp, chorizo, & churrasco starters. The churrasco was the most flavorful. I was not impressed by the shrimp. This is a nice place to go on a date and or with a small group. "52 Hours of Happy: Hour #8" {Full 52 Happy Hours List in "More About" section of my profile} This trip to Patio had been a longggg time coming...and boy was it worth it. First I just have to say that I find tapas to be so misleading. You think to yourself that something so small can't possibly fill you up, so with it being so cheap, you're inclined to order a bunch so it equates to a normal meal. Welp....that's the wrong approach. Because between the loaded carb intake with the bread and protein from the meat on each tapa, your stomach leaves feeling satisfied even if your eyes are hungry for more. I LOVE Spain. I love the people, the landscape, the architecture, the language, the wine and the food. Tapas are small Spanish appetizers, that have evolved into a sophisticated cuisine and dining experience. You'd usually associate sophistication with expense, but that's not the case with these $3 culinary offerings. That was the price for every Tapa on the Happy Hour menu, minus the vegetarian one (Pan con Tomate) which was an even cheaper $2.50. In doing this year-long Happy Hour expedition, each week I'm realizing things that I now look for in qualifying that restaurant as having a GOOD HH. First, if I am not relegated to only bar seating for HH, that is a huge plus. I want to feel a part of the normal customer community, not just the bar seating for the "cheap people". Next, the HH menu should include a significant amount or the most notable items from the regular menu. Doing this gives the customer a true glimpse of the restaurant's food, and if I like it enough, I'd come back outside of HH. Lastly, it should include food AND drinks, but if the drinks are varied amongst beer, wine and cocktails, that's a home run. Patio nailed it on all 3 counts, and have one of the most plentiful Happy Hour offerings that I've been to yet. My personal faves of the 5 tapas tried were the Duck Breast and Piquillo Relleno. The duck was layered on top of a fig marmalade w/ white truffle oil, which gave it a sweet and almost tangy taste. The Piquillo was a surprise because it was a red pepper (which I normally don't like) stuffed w/ goat cheese. It was not spicy and had a subtle flavor of the pepper, which meshed well with the cheese. A close 3rd would be the Cordero Estofado, which was a tomato and red-wine based lamb, that had a pulled pork texture while reminding me a bit of oxtail. It was very good! For side, the chicken croqueta I really didn't enjoy, and wouldn't order again. It was too mushy inside, not a fan of that creamed chicken taste. But I would definitely recommend the Patatas Bravas, which were potatoes wedges with a spiced tomato sauce and aioli. They're also known for their Sangria, which I'd rate as one of the better ones I've tasted in South Florida. I'm still looking for one that blows me away, but this one was pretty good. I would highly recommend everything we got - the lamb chops, steak, chicken, and pork belly were all some of the most flavorful and delicious entrées we've had in a very long time. The churros and chocolate were also a great end to the meal. The owner, Bryant Fajardo, gave us an overview of the menu, took our orders, and served us our meals. Incredibly friendly and down to earth, along with the rest of the staff and the atmosphere of the restaurant. 5/5 would recommend to anyone in the Bocas Raton area. read more

I love this place. Super small and cozy. There is seating out front and in the back. Very chill place. Immediately when we arrived we were greeted and went out back to sit. Several restaurants share the back patio. One thing that bothered me was the hookah while I was eating. Next time we will have to find a table a little further away from the hookah place. Using Yelp to check-in we are given a complimentary sangria. I was definitely a fan. It is not too sweet and very tasty. The menu has such a great variety of tapas to choose from. We started off with the Sweet Chips. The yogurt espuma and glaze was addicting. I wanted to use it on all the tapas. It was really good. If it was up to me I would have ordered everything on the menu. However, we learned our lesson once and decided to only choose a few and return soon to try the others. All the tapas we tried were delicious. Pork Belly Sandwich: Love it. One of my favorites of the night. I was a bit worried it would have too much fat but it was done to perfection. Tortilla Española: First time trying this. It was pretty good. Churrasco: I am always a fan of churrasco. They included some potatoes which was a great combination. I will be back! read more

This is a good traditional spainish tapas place near mizner park. The atmosphere was nice with outdoor seating with a fountain nearby. Tables are metal and could use a upgrade but overall the atmosphere was nice. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent and the meats were very tasty. We tried the duck, lamb, churasco steak, and pork belly. All were tasty but I think I liked the churasco the best. We ordered all tapas because we wanted to try different things since there were 3 of us. The sangria was excellent! May be the best I've had outside barcelona! The price was the only drawback and the portions were small even for tapas. It was also hard to share because each tapas was a piece of meat over a slice of bread. We tried to cut them but it did require some effort. The smoked salmon one was literally bitesize. It was my impression that tapas are for sharing but these were hard to do so. Maybe the tapas menu wasn't the way to go (maybe we should have ordered dinners instead). Overall food and service was great, but I took off a star because portions were small for the price. I stumbled across this place because of the Yelp recommendations and we were around the area. So decided, what the heck - we love Tapas so why not. And oh boy, am I so glad that we did... The place is a nice and small inside, and there's seating outside. We happened to get there for Happy Hour which had $3 tapas. So, we ordered a variety of items as we always do when it comes to Tapas as well tried the Sangria. Service was great - friendly and on point, and slowly it began to get busier. First came the Sangria, which my wife and I were pretty impressed with - not to fruity, not sour, a nice refreshing combination so i give it 2 thumbs up on that one. Next came the food which I ordered the Pork Belly, Churrasco & the Duck. Holly Mother of Cows!!! The flavor combinations were amazing - the duck had this amazing jam/ sauce below it which brought out the flavors... and the same thing applied to the pork belly and churrasco!!! The pork belly was tender and flavorful that I had to order some more!!! Once I was done it was desert time and I had just caught the server a few minutes earlier serving an ice cream with an espresso which seemed perfect to me and heck yea, it was!!! It was so good that we had to come back again - so brought our clients as they where closing on their very first home. It was the perfect spot for them as they loved it just as much as we did.
