I've been here twice. Once for brunch and once at night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brunch was cool. We sat outside since it was nice out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There weren't very many options on this particular menu but what we had was good. Maybe fajitas or tacos. When we came at night it was close to closing time but they still accommodated us which was nice of them. Had a few street tacos and chips and dip this time. Can't go wrong with tacos. The drinks get a gold star!! Unique and strong! Service was great both times.

One of my favorite places for drinks and Mexican food! I usually sit at the bar and bartenders are always very nice and attentive. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice decor inside and a patio outside too for those who like outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their happy hour menu is amazing-- the shrimp with the sauce, chefs kiss, my favorite! I also recently tried the shrimp burrito which was always very delicious. I've been multiple times here and will gladly come back many more times. Everything I've tried so far, no misses!

Love that Patria serves upscale yummy Mexican food right in my neighborhood. I ordered take out for tonight's dinner - California burrito and grilled steak fajita. My order was ready for pick up right at the time they said my meal would be ready! Two entrees did cost around $50, which is quite steep but I was shocked to find how big the portions are! My steak fajita could easily feed two people and I certainly have leftovers for tomorrow. The meat had a nice and flavorful marinade, though I wish I asked to be cooked medium since it was quite chewy cooked as medium rare. This was also served with a heaping amount of rice and veggies! The beans were so flavorful and pairs well with every bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I have not had anything bad here and they are always so busy on the weekends and for dinner.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Consistently great food and service. Mark and I have been patronizing this business for special occasions and sometimes just for a treat for ourselves. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The terrace is lovely and great for dining in nice weather.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The chilaquiles with salsa verde are a consistent favorite as well as the tacos and the craft cocktails. Parking can be a challenge during peak times. We highly recommend this restaurant!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute resturant in Grant Park.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The hostesses were very nice and welcoming. My friend had a bad encounter with the bartender when asking where he was from and he abruptly replied I'm a US citizen. Not sure what that was about fully. However, she loved the chicken mold and the steak fajitas were good (over from medium which I ordered). The guacamole was a little too salty for us both. Overall, I would come back and try them again. The margs are good as well! Giuseppe was a good server!

Insanely overpriced for very much mid food. it's been a good minute since I left a restaurant so unhappy that I felt like I was swindled. My final bill with tip was over $100 and nothing about the food, ambience, or establishment was worth that price. I had a chicken fajita and everything was just so bland. The vegetables were not seasoned at all and the chicken was barely seasoned. The rice and beans were also super bland. Even the margarita was average and didn't taste like 2 ounces of tequila at all. I should've known I was in for a bad time when the chips and salsa weren't free. I was so looking forward to Mexican food today, but left disappointed. Should've just taken my tail to Tacos and Tequila. It's half the price and twice as good. This place is trying to be something they are not. The prices give high end or high quality ingredient. I got neither.

What a cute spot tucked away outside the city. We came in on a Sunday and had reservations, which is highly recommended and sat immediately. Service did start off a little slow, but then our server got the ball rolling and we have no further complaints except for the multiple flies and mosquitoes that swarmed and our area.. but it's summer totally understand... . On the menu is a variety for everyone we got the fajitas and esquites. Complimentary for our table was the octopus and it was delicious!!!!!! The drinks were great I got the Rosa Negra and it was delicious. If you aren't a mezcal fan I don't recommend it but the Boss Margarita was delicious as well. Flan was delicious and so was the ice cream with the churros. Everything was made fresh and seasoned perfectly. We will definitely be back!! Thank you for making my husband and brother in laws birthday fun and delicious!

This is my first time having Patria Cocina, and I have to admit, it's some of the better tex-mex food I've had since leaving Texas. I ordered the chicken fajita platter, and was really impressed by the flavors. There were a couple things that were a bit odd about my order, however. There was a very generous portion of fajita ingredients, which I was very happy about, but they only gave me three tiny little street taco tortillas? I packed the tortillas to their limit, and still had more than half of the ingredients left. Also, with such a large amount of food, they sent the tiniest bag of tortilla chips. I appreciate the inclusion, but given that they are dirt cheap, and the platter is meant to be shared, it was strange that there was only a tiny handful of chips. I also would have loved some shredded cheese to put in my tacos, but that's just a personal preference thing. All that aside, the food was quite good, and I'd definitely eat here again.

Blows Nuevo Laredo Cantina, Agave, Pappasito's, and Superica Out of the Agua. [[HIGHLIGHT]]New location near the old Turner Field. Attractive room with beautiful patio option.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Best Mexican cuisine I've experienced in Atlanta. Fresh, creative beverages. The Mancha three enchiladas is phenomenal in providing variety on one plate with wonderful rice. I wish they would provide beans with the rice. Great service by competent, friendly staff. Ugh the octopus here was soooo good and the portion was not bad unfortunately for the price it wasn't the best. We got two drinks and split one meal. Our total was over $65 which is crazy to me. I guess maybe in this area they can charge more but I wouldn't go back I don't think. With that being said the food was delicious and drinks were ok just not worth it. Great place to bring dogs the patio is dog friendly! read more

Alright her goes... I went for a late lunch and sat at the bar. The bartender was very knowledgeable about everything item on the menu and I asked for recommendation for a drink. My bestie got a drink that was in a bowl with fresh fruit and not sure what my flower drink was but it was very delicious. Food came out quickly and tasted amazing. The ambiance here is great. I love the music and the decor. This place always has great food and excellent customer service. It is always busy so I highly recommend making a reservation. The steak tacos and super burrito are very yummy. The cocktails can be a hit or miss. I got the Rosa negra and I just took two sips and left the entire thing. My fiancé order the "boss" cocktail and we both didn't like it either. Other than that, this place is a must try. read more

I have been coming here since they opened ( prior to their liquor license being granted. Since my favorite server Daisy left, I have had nothing but issues. As of late, the service has been bad. My most recent experience they would not even separate the check equally. I was told it was company policy since theyve been open by the manager Valentino. That is a LIE. I told him thats not true, i have been coming here since before he was here and it has never been an issue. I have had many large party dinner/ lunches here never had an issue until recently. My last take out order, gratuity was added without my consent. I informed the manager and it was brushed off. Unfortunately, due to these issues, I will probably start going back to mezcalitos as my neighborhood cocina. read more

We had a party of 3 at 8:00 pm on a Saturday. There was an hour wait, but it ended up only being 20 minutes! We sat inside and it was very loud. They said there would be a 90 minute limit on the table, but because we were there so late, they didn't bother with the limit and only kicked us out by flashing the lights when they were closing at 10:30. They apparently have some secret weekly menu, but it's just whatever is on their Instagram. The problem is that they don't list the prices. Here's what we got for drinks: - Cazuela ($14): It was basically sangria when what I really wanted was a margarita, so I was disappointed. - Black Diamond Premium ($20): On their "secret menu." Very pricy and very fancy presentation with a cocktail bubble/vapor cloud using a cocktail smoke gun. I didn't try it, but my friend said it was very good. - Rosa Negra ($14): My husband subbed regular tequila for the mezcal. It was your typical margarita. Pretty good. Here's what we got for food: - Ceviche Jalisco ($18 + $0.99 for the aioli): Very good. Nice presentation. Ridiculous that they charged us for the aioli. - Full Order of Guacamole ($16): Your average guacamole. A full order did not come with THAT much guac, especially considering it was $16. - Full Order of Cheese Dip ($8 + $0.75 for jalapeños): Good queso, but again, ridiculous price for the size and that they charged for the jalapeños. - 6 Street Tacos ($3.50 each): We got al pastor and carne asada tacos and they were good. I only ordered one taco, but they gave me two and of course they charged me for it. The food was good. The presentation was made for Instagram. The prices were ridiculous. Our waiter was Miguel. He was really good at making sure we were taken care of, and he was also very good at upselling, so beware. Even though we stuck to appetizers and street tacos, it really added up, especially with drinks. Overall, it was a good experience, but just know that it ain't cheap. read more

Fantastic! From the dramatic opening of our Mezcal Old Fashioned, to the Octopus entree that we ordered as an appetizer and it comes in a spicy chimichurri sauce and my favorite the well seasoned, but not spicy Salmon a la Parilla on a bed of grilled veggies. The carna Asada is the bomb as well. Love, love the patio and the Beacon is really cool. read more

Sat at the bar on a Friday afternoon. The service was very good and quick, and the food was some of the best Mexican in town. When I went I had just spent a week in Mexico - the tequila and mezcal selection is more than I have seen in most restaurants in town. Definitely recommend! read more

I had an amazing time! The weather was nice so the patio doors were open and it made the ambiance bright and inviting. Our server was so sweet and attentive. We were celebrating my friend bday and she had an amazing time. I had the octopus enter which was tasty but not very filling for $30 but still the overall experience was amazing so I'll be back to try something new. read more

I really enjoyed my first visit. From the chipd and salsa to the ceviche to the salmon, everything was so tasty. My server was very attentive and helpful when I had questions. This place seems to be new to the neighborhood and it was absolutely awesome! Their take on an old fashion was sooooooo very good and it's made with tequila! I had their frozen michelada, wasn't really a fan but I'm glad I tried it. We ordered chips and queso with chorizo and that was really good; the chips were crisp and fresh. The waitress let me in on their secret menu. She ordered me a few of the tacos that they make off the menu and they were super flavorful. My partner's cousin ordered the enchiladas that came with 3 and each one had a different sauce. The ambiance of the restaurant is well put together. I loved their artwork they had inside and the greenery they decorated with. Personally, it's a really comforting restaurant with the details and it's a spanish-speaking friendly restaurant which is a huge plus. read more

I've been coming here for years now. It is a truly exceptional establishment. The entire staff is Hispanic which makes it a great time if you yourself are a native speaker, or maybe just looking to get in some practice. Thoughtfully inspired, authentic dishes and cocktails can be attributed to the three brothers who work literally every day to make sure this place is running at its best. The cocktails here are insane. Just try several of them. The bartenders are more like mixologists and deliver everything with a flare. Daniel is my personal favorite over the years and deserves a huge shoutout for holding down the bar most night, although they all share responsibilities so it isn't uncommon to see your favorite bar tender become your severer for a night. My favorites are the shrimp enchiladas and the Cazuela to drink. read more

Everything was great from this place. I got there on a Sunday afternoon and it was full but they gave me a table very quickly in the place where I preferred to sit. The server asked for our order ver quickly and nicely as well, I am Mexican and he seemed Mexican (spoke Spanish) which I loved because it added to the authenticity of the restaurant! The atmosphere was also great, I was with my 3 year old and husband and they both loved the q top quality and authenticity of the food! I am Mexican so I would know , and I love that the look of the place is so elegant and modern and clean. This is now one my top favorite places to eat at! Will return! read more

This place is located in the heart of grant park with a beautiful, intimate ambiance for friends, couples, or whoever. I really enjoyed the vibe. Also we were able to wait at the bar while waiting a brief 15 minutes for outside seating to open up, which is a rare, short wait with no reservations in Atlanta. Outside was made toasty and enjoyable on a chilly night by several heat lamps. The staff was kind and professional. The drinks were delicious and strong. Picture it...3 girls...Wednesday night drinks and dinner... warm weather on the terrace...traditional and modern Mexican music playing. The short: ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS Mexican fare and super innovative cocktails with flawless presentation. The long: NEIGHBORHOOD/PARKING: It's located in a newish, trendy plaza with lots of other restaurants and shops. Street and lot parking is free, plentiful, and safe. SERVICE: I the hostess was happy to seat me (no reservation) outside at a table for 3 before my two friends arrived. Our waitress had great recommendations based on our likes/dislikes and was surprising honest about portion sizes! Loved her. MENU: It has all of the things you expect of standard Mexican are looking for (tacos, burritos, quesadillas, fajitas) but they also have PHENOMENAL TRADITIONAL AND MODERN SELECTIONS! MANCHA MANTELES (100/100!!!) are chicken enchiladas 3 ways and were AMAZING!!! I literally moaned! One each covered in mole, guajillo, and tomatillo sauce. The Tomatilla was my favorite! So bright and flavorful! The MOLE (4/5) was also delicious but a Oaxaca mole (per our waitress) which is on the sweeter side. My friends enjoyed their dishes (Salmon a la parilla and shrimp fajitas) but weren't necessarily moaning over the flavors like I was lol. COCKTAILS: - Skinny Margarita (2/5) it just wasn't very good! I have had so many more tasty skinny margs elsewhere. - Mezcal Old Fashion and the Black Diamond were presented beautifully (see pics) and were quite tasty PRO TIPS: - Ask for secret menu recommendations! We've had some very good food here in the past and this time was no different. The service is not always the best but this time was particularly bad. Overall I'm at a 3-4 stars here but this experience was closer to 2. They estimated 8-20 minutes for our table and it took 45 minutes, which may otherwise be acceptable but with a 2 and 4 year old at hangry o'clock it's less acceptable. There's plenty of other food choices at the Beacon right there had we an accurate sense of the wait. After this wait, we ordered the queso with chips and 25 minutes later it came out. I loved the queso but my wife found it too salty and there weren't not enough chips to go with the dip. We asked for a heater outside and they didn't really respond to this. 45 min later one came out. I know Friday night is not the night to expect quick service at a popular spot, but how long does it take to bring out chips while waiting for food or provide a heater? We ordered the steak fajitas, which come out sizzling in the rock bowl/plate and are delicious and worth the price tag IMO. They initially asked if you want flour or corn tortilla and then brought neither. When we asked about it, instead of apologizing, they said you specifically have to ask for this with the order and it doesn't come automatically? With fajitas and after we specified our preference? Eventually we got three small tortillas, about 15 minutes after the dish came out. Also, we ordered two very good cocktails from their secret drink menu that they said were on special 2 for 1. We were surprised when the bill showed $20 each for these drinks and they said that we misheard (we definitely did not - our Spanish speakers and English speakers in the group heard the same thing in both languages with the waiter). As good of a cocktail as it was, $20 Manhattan drink prices is surprising in our neighborhood and not something I probably would have ordered. That being said, they use fresh daily ingredients (no powders) and very high quality mezcal and other ingredients, but again the communication should have been accurate. It felt like they asked for drinks about 5 times also which might be standard but also felt like we weren't spending enough. Our total was around $68 with tip/tax, which for one main (fajitas), one cocktail, and $9 queso (chips and salsa are often complimentary elsewhere), is a lot. The quality is top notch but given the prices and service we won't come back often. read more

We were looking for a place to eat that was open and according to Google and Resy Patria Cocina was open. We were so excited because we have been wanting to try it so we made a reservation and drove to the restaurant. When we arrived we were extremely upset to find that the restaurant was CLOSED resulting in a wasted trip! The fact that the restaurant was stated as open on Google and accepting reservations through RESY but was not open is completely unacceptable and shows a complete disregard for customers. For our mains the 3 of us shared the red snapper, tuetano with lamb, and the mixteco poblano pepper. Red snapper had a nice charred smoky flavor from being grilled. Was more meaty than flaky in texture. It was our second time getting the mixteco poblano pepper and it hits. Highly recommend eating with some of the salsa as well if you get queso. The duck carnitas in it wasn't particularly duck-y today, but still very good. Best dish is definitely the tuetano. The bone marrow is so incredibly flavorful with the blue corn tortillas. Add some of the pickled onions and it's hard to go wrong with that flavor combo of salt, fat, and acid. if you're going to order one thing, I'd order this and share with a friend and tbh it's enough to be filling. For dessert we got the volcan de chocolate (basically lava cake). The lava cake and coconut ice cream combo is fantastic. You get bits of coconut flakes as you eat! The only thing that rubbed us the wrong way happened right after we were seated. Chips and queso were brought to the table, and we naturally assumed they were complimentary, similar to chips or bread at many other restaurants. After we had already started eating them, our server came back and took them away because they weren't included. Our waitress was otherwise friendly and provided good service, but that initial interaction felt a little awkward. A quick heads-up when placing them on the table would have avoided the confusion entirely.
