I was thoroughly impressed! I was invited here and honestly had never heard of this place before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The selection was fantastic, and the coffee I ordered was absolutely spectacular. Everything exceeded my expectations, and I'm definitely looking forward to coming back!
Great breakfast spot we found while visiting NYC! It's a small but cute coffee place that was close to our hotel. We ordered iced coffees and a quick breakfast. I got their Avocado Toast with a hard boiled egg which was excellent. My husband had Jambon Beurre (French Baquette, ham, cheese and butter). Everything was fast, friendly and superb. I highly recommend this spot if you want quality food in a casual environment.
It's like a charming European bakery. Except if the patrons had jobs and the food came out accordingly. The Jambon Beurre is, how you say?magnifique? It sends your tastebuds on a round trip flight to the Alsace and back with every bite. The baked goods are exceptional. The quality is *very high*. That said, the prices correspond to the quality. But although the winsome wood beams and exposed brick might fool you, this is midtown Manhattan not a countryside French cafe. And unlike Europe (where the money, like their militaries, is basically imaginary?), things do cost money in New York.
Came in Friday afternoon looking for a quick coffee fix. It was around lunch time so most tables were taken, but since I was only ordering coffee I just grabbed a wall seat by the front. You order at the counter and then find a seat that's open. I tried the maple cardamom latte and thought it was pretty good. It had a good hint of sweetness without being too overpowering. I haven't tried any food items form them but would be open to in the future.
Apple Brie sandwich was delicious. Kind of small for price but the baguette was unreal. The matcha canele was one of the best I've had and definitely the best one I've had in the city so far. Would definitely recommend the canele.

The barista mentioned the larger has four shots of espresso and recommended the smaller, which I appreciated. The latte was good and the space was clean, tidy, and very aesthetic while still delivering on quality. The vibe and playlist were great. Didn't try the pastries this time, but I would come back.

The bread is delicious, the butter tastes imported from France, you even get a few cornichons on the side. I also ordered a flat white, which was tasty. They have several pastries on offer, and based on the other reviews, those are probably equally as good. Service is quick: you order at the counter and they'll call your name once your order is ready. The cafe wasn't super busy when I visited, so my food and drink took about five minutes to be prepared. I was also pleasantly surprised by how spacious and stunning the cafe is. I had no trouble finding a seat, there are outlets, there's a gorgeous skylight in the back -- I would love to come back to read or work for an afternoon with some great pastries and coffee. A welcome reprieve from the chaos of midtown!

(This is a 4.5 star review) I visited Pavé for a work meeting with my coworker yesterday morning because, in my research, it looked like there was enough space to work remotely. Thankfully, there was. This is a really quaint and beautiful French cafe not too far from Bryant Park with ample space, WiFi, and outlets to work remotely. It was a little loud when I went around 9:30 am, but I was still able to get work done easily. I ordered an iced chai ($6) and ham and cheese croissant ($10) and I really enjoyed both. The croissant was flaky and buttery and the chai was cool, spiced, and sweet. I probably would have given this cafe a 5 star rating, however, I didn't have the best service experience. It certainly wasn't bad, but I wasn't told that my food was going to be packaged to go, wasn't asked whether I was staying or not, and wasn't told that the food would be ready at the counter. I had to ask another person at the cafe to confirm whether they brought the food to us or not. It might've been my imagination, but the woman at the counter almost seemed annoyed that I didn't know when my food was still sitting there a few moments later. Either way, not a huge deal, but something to note. A beautiful cafe otherwise.
Came here specifically to the pate sandwich because I was craving. It had two generously thick slices of pate on a baguette. The baguette was perfectly crispy and the pate had great umami flavor and bite to it. The spot was busy and bustling when I came in but they have tables both in the back and front for dine-in. I'll definitely be back to try some of the other pastries!
One of the larger cafes we've seen with a front and rear seating area. We ordered the Raclette with added Prociutto, the very filling Croque Monisier and Smoked Salmon for the three of us. The Cappuccino was a great value too. This place is very well run and hospitable. Highly recommend for breakfast/brunch.
This was a pretty standard cafe. The food selection is very wide, with many savory and sweet options. The coffee was good as well.
Super delicious caprese sandwich and the bread was really nice and soft! The pesto was very flavorful and I liked the addition of the olives as well. The restaurant is super cute inside with tons of seating in the front and back sections. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we had questions. Would definitely come back again!
This is the coziest coffee shop located in Manhattan. The serve sandwiches and pastries. The caprese pesto sandwich was on a fresh fluffy olive roll and was so delicious! i've been back to pave many times over the years and wanted to update my review - you HAVE to try their sandwiches. they are some of the best french sandwiches in the city!! the food: i personally love a jambon beurre, and they do it so well here. the bread itself is incredibly good, so i would say any of their baguette sandwiches are 100% worth it. the cookie is super airy yet filled with chocolate and i loved it. the eclair to me was just okay, but that was because i was expecting a crispier texture. the passionfruit puff used to be my favorite, but they changed the recipe to not have the chunky sugar crystals on top, so i will be trying the other sweets in the future to find my new fav. the space: a rare, big space in the area the service: nice! read more
This is a solid cafe near times square. They have a variety of beverages & food options. The coffee tasted great and the orders move pretty fast. There are some seatings inside and no outdoor seatings. I personally think it's a good take out place for breakfast or needing anything quick to eat. read more

Such a perfect cafe!! I went in the early morning for breakfast because the pictures of their baked goods looked so delicious and those pictures did not deceive me at all. Immediately walking in, you could feel the New York bustle but finding a table was not at all hard. There were people working, enjoying a small morning or conducting business meetings so the ambience was suitable for anything really. I got the mushroom and potato focaccia bread and pan bagnat which were both delicious. They heated the baked goods up so it was so fresh and just hit the spot. Also got a regular cappuccino which just paired so well with the focaccia, and overall just yummy breakfast. Service was fast and efficient, no complaints here! Would definitely come back for an early morning breakfast again read more
A nice little shop in the middle of the business district. I came for the croissant which was a bit soggy at 1 pm. Shop has indoor and outdoor seating and friendly, fast service. Would consider trying for lunch and saw a few people set up for working. Quiet and bright atmosphere. read more
Have been twice now! Surprisingly spacious and not too busy, even on the weekend. The sandwiches, croissants, flatbreads and especially the MATCHA CANELES are absolutely delicious. The croissant is comparable to that of L'Apartmente 4F in Brooklyn. I had never had a canele before but this blew me away. Perfect outside crust, matcha and custardy inside. This is a very cute and welcoming coffee shop. The front of it also has a wonderful color to it on the outside as it makes it stand out on the street. They have indoor seating in the front area and in the back. There are many choices of pastries and other food to choose from. They also have a great coffee menu. I never heard of this coffee shop I thought it was new. I asked one of the baristas how long they have been open for and she said 2 years. I got an iced cappuccino. It was good. Cute bakery with a nice ambiance, and lots of seating available. I got the caprese with prosciutto, which honestly tasted better than it looked. We also tried their babka which was fine, but not the best I've had. If I come back next time, might just stick with their other pastries/baked goods. read more
A 10/10 study or work cafe in Midtown area: good pastries, decent coffee, ample seating, clean restroom, and free wifi. It gets busier on weekdays afternoon, but it's still easy to secure a table. ＊Mushroom Potato Foccacia They heated up the foccacia for me, giving it the soft and chewy texture. The bottom didn't soak in oil like sometimes the other foccacia does. ＊Matcha Scone The matcha scone was studded with white chocolate chips. The two flavor complemented each other pretty well even I am not a fan of white choc. The matcha was distinguishable but on the milder side. It was baked with crispy edges. ＊Latte Smooth and silky milk foam with beautiful latte art. It created a great chemistry with the nutty espresso base. read more

Canelé review only - they make a very good one and do flavors as well. Matcha was sold out by the time I arrived, so went with the caramel. Great caramelized shell, soft and set custard inside, with caramel flavor that reminds of werthers original. Great canelé. shop has a good amount of seating inside. read more

I finally found the place where they know how to make real Baguette. Their Croissants are high quality too. Tomatoes on the salad are delicious and nicely matched with their dressing. I would love to learn how to make this salad dressing. Small opening in the front, but surprisingly spacious in the back. I would love to come back and try everything on their menu. read more
Pavé is such a quaint French style café with delicious food. We ordered the Jambon Beurre on a baguette, a salmon sandwich, a flaky buttery croissant, and chocolate babka. I was a bit skeptical at first because I have eaten baguette in Paris and very few places compare to that. However, Pavé delivered a good crusty and fresh bread that was very satisfying. 5 Stars for the perfect spot to have a coffee meeting or do some work while grabbing lunch. (How was this place not packed?! I don't know, but enjoy!) I met up with a friend at Pave after an exhaustive search on Yelp for the perfect spot to co-work, hang, and grab some food. I found a couple of possible options, but Pave was absolutely the right choice. As I walked in, I saw that it spans a larger area than I thought, it's fairly narrow, but has plenty of space beyond the counter. I ordered and grabbed a table towards the back. This space is bright and inviting, with a huge glass skylight. I ordered a decaf latte and a burrata salad. The latte was great, but the salad really shone. It consisted of burrata, arugula, basil pesto, pistachios, and marinated tomatoes. If you can read that and not start drooling immediately, you're better than me. Because I'm drooling right now just writing it out. The salad was well dressed and just the right mix of creaminess (from the burrata) and acidic (from the marinated tomatoes and pesto). The arugula adds a peppery flavor that enhances the dish and pairs well with the sweetness of pistachios. When looking for a low-key, easy option that offers great food (next time, I'm getting the bread!!) and coffee and available seating, this is your spot. read more
