Sea bass

Food: 3 Decor: 4 Service: 4 I came here with my gf for dinner Saturday around 7pm http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#li3DR1yyUy3Rwvfr0kFsgQ. 1. Trio double lamb chops, 26 http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#U6CmzxYNCfafd3dF6SwSkw So-so. Lamb chops were a bit overcooked and a bit bland. 2. Chilean sea bass with lemon butter, 24 Okay. Sea bass was cooked well, but it was rather bland. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#yOS9vBkbC56nO-mRCER22Q 3. Fruit and grilled veggie sides Pretty good. Fruit plate was decently sized, but could have been fresher. 4. Smetannik, 5 http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/ginoUhUXb6CB8cZjdZUm9w?userid=2fN8mN7uUjOw-QqtcgYqXQ#cqF4jeGKw7NjMl-wUgOTww Mediocre. Probably the most authentic dish we ordered, but it was too dense and dry. Would have been better by replacing the strawberry sauce with more fruit and something more moist (maybe ice cream). Service was good.

Restaurant Hours (as of 3/25/22).

I wanted to try the restaurant tonight with my family and one other guest, total party size of 4 people. I tried booking a table through OpenTable, however NOTHING is available until 7:30p on Monday, March 28th 2022. Ok, no big deal, I'll just call the restaurant. I called the restaurant at 847-715-9440, listened to the menu and tapped on 1 for reservations. After 10-20 rings, I was promptly told by the automated phone system that I had selected an invalid mailbox. First sign that the restaurant doesn't care about its customers (or future customers). I tried a second time, and tapped on 0 (zero) for "all other" inquiries, I expected the same treatment, but amazingly someone answered. I asked about availability for an 8pm reservation, and was immediately told they were closing at 4pm. No why, wherefore, thank you for you interest, nothing pleasant about he interaction. I'm surprised they are closing so early on a FRIDAY, when lots of people go out. Makes me wonder why, .... For such an unusual closing hour, I would at a minimum have expected THE PAVILLION'S website to have indicated the early closing. Their website says they are open until 10p on Fridays and Saturdays, closed Sundays, and open until 9pm the rest of the week. The week as defined by their website does not include Monday, it's probably a safe bet they are closed on Mondays as well. (Full disclosure, Yelp shows them open 11a to 9p on Mondays.)

Impressive dinner at Pavilion! Honestly I didn't expect so much for this restaurant before I go, it's new in Northbrook area. Last Saturday I went there with my boyfriend, it's not a big restaurant but atmosphere is classy, small lounge looks nice too and serve variety of alcohol, they also have live music on specific days, its very nice to have dinner with live music, when we got there it was empty but right after one hour later, the whole restaurant was packed! It's a good place for late dinner during weekend too, since they open till 3am. Service was outstanding, our waitress is knowledgeable of the food and she was very nice! We ordered Lobster bisque for soup, it's a little too salty and didn't have too much lobster meat, but it's only 5 dollars, not bad to try. For main course I ordered sea bass and my boyfriend had salmon, didn't overcook my sea bass and it was a big portion. Dinner better than what I expected, we also order chocolate martini too, so overall I like this restaurant. Menu price is fair, not too expensive, food was standard, European style. There is another restaurant called Petergolf right next to Pavilion, it's a banquet hall and I think they do serve dinner too. Worth for 4 stars!

It's nice to be surprised and the Pavillion was a very pleasant and unexpected pleasure. The restaurant's roots seem to be Russian judging from the some of the help and other diners but the copious menu leans more to western Europe and the U.S. than to the east. Still, there are some eastern European dishes such a Rasputin Caviar Blini and Ukrainian Borscht but much of the menu is given to favorites such as Chilean Sea Bass, New York Strip Steak or Shrimp Tortellini Alfredo. The greater part of the menu is taken up by a marvelous assortment of hot and cold appetizers. Besides the caviar and borscht, one could choose Beef Carpaccio, Tuna Tartar, Crab Cake, Foie Gras or Artichoke Fritters, just to name a few. Indeed a good and interesting meal could be assembled from just the starters on this menu. We found the chef paid attention to the presentation as well as the flavor and service was attentive without being overbearing. Pavillion is certainly a good value and they currently have an $18, 3 course prix fixe dinner which is a steal.

Trio double lamb chops mmm

Came here for dinner with the bf on a Saturday night. I wasn't a huge fan of the decor, but it was great otherwise. We ordered: - Trio double lamb chops - delicious. I ordered medium, but thinking back, I should've gotten it medium rare (I was warned that the medium might look well done, but I stuck with medium) - Chilean sea bass with lemon butter - really fresh and flaky and just well cooked - Sides, 2 with each entree: side salad had an amazing citrus dressing, veggies were nicely grilled, and we each got the fruit plate which turned out to be huge (we should've just gotten one to split) - Smetannik - just okay. The waitress recommended it and said that it's very authentic but may be an acquired taste. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't my fave, I just don't think the strawberry sauce went well with it. Service was really sweet, I knocked over my salad dressing so they moved us to another table. Also kept my water glass full. We had a restaurant.com voucher which we had no trouble using.

Beef Stragonoff. A must have in your order!

Amazing! I was intrigued by the yelp pics that I had to see and taste it for myself. And wow I was blown away. I'm a foodie and I hunt places in the US for great food and this is a hidden Gem (bcuz you'd never expect this in the hidden plaza it's in). We went during Lunch and the Taste, Food portion, presentation, atmosphere and manager was on Point! I ordered Beef Stroganoff (best I ever had) and my husband ordered the Turkey Sandwich (Amazing turkey) and portions were awesome. I'm also rate restaurant bread (I see it as, if they pay attention to their bread what more their entree) and wow we had a variety of them (all perfect and warm) with lil butter balls.... ! If you're reading this, you really have to go and try this place! This is definitely worth the trip. Lunch pricing - Amazing deal definitely worth every penny. Dinner pricing - If this was in the City you would be paying double. Note: Door entry to restaurant might be confusing because Pavillion is also Petergof. We went thru the banquet door vs the restaurant door. Make sure you go to the door further right. Might look plain on the outside but you will be impressed inside. Thank you Pavilion - Northbrook for a wonderful experience - Your Executive Chef who created the dishes is a keeper!! Looking forward to dining again!

Very nice setting. Chicken Marsala was very good, and staff were very attentive. Great place for lunch with reasonable prices.

I ordered a Bloody Mary that was supposed to come with celery and it didn't come with celery, it was still decent though.

We were seated promptly. The place is a little louder than I prefer; we had a 2 top booth in the rear of the resto that tempered the sound level a bit, but keep in mind it's not a "quiet place". The menu is straightforward; pizzas, pastas, proteins. We started with the arancini; they were great (and a large portion, to boot). I had the house made pasta with Bolognese, and she had the chicken piccata. Both dishes were wonderful; again, really large portions. Service was fast and friendly, and dinner for two with tip didn't break $80 Recommended for a good southern Italian meal in Highland Parl.

I attempted to text and call the driver-Daniel-to give better instructions on which unit (8 unit townhome) is mine. Had blinds open and porch light on. All other units were dark, Drivers phone was turned off. I saw him place the food on the stoop of another unit. I called out to ask to bring to mine to no avail. Having just gotten home from an extended stay in the hospital, I struggled to put on shoes and retrieve it. Food was ice cold. Bag with calamari came sealed. Pizza box was not. After reheating the calamari was soggy and pizza pretty good. I would think delivery would have some sort of thermo bag to keep food warm. While I expect the pizza is better, all in all, Domino's delivers a better experience

We first sat down for a meal, and coming on a early weeknight it was not that busy at all when we arrived. They had a happy hour deals for $6 of four different kinds of shareables. We tried all four. The loaded tots, Nashville hot chicken baos, onion dip with chips and southwest quesadillas. Our favorites were the loaded tots and onion dip. The loaded tots had a decent amount of small strips of bacon and was covered with a white and cheddar queso. Very good and tasty and the right amount of toppings on it. The onion dip was good too, the dip came in what looked like a smaller sauce side but there was plenty, we had leftover dip after finishing the chips. The bao were decent sized, came in a set of 2 and wasn't overly spicy. The least favorite was the quesadillas, just not much to the flavor and filling. After eating we played a 9 hole round of putt putt. The holes are fun and interactive. You pay for the round at the kiosks and then get your ball at the start of the course. Each hole is digitized and shots are auto calculated for a score. It was a fun way to play putt putt.

The restaurant inside is convenient and our server was great. The woman working inside the kitchen was also extremely sweet to our son. My husband ordered the burger and said it was great. I had the hot chicken sandwich and it was very dry. Prices were reasonable so I'd say this lands in the "fine" range. There are four courses of nine holes each - ruby, emerald, sapphire, and amber. Some holes do repeat across all courses, which seemed odd. The designs were fun for both adults and kids. We definitely had a great time on the two courses we did. It did get a bit congested at one point, and they were not very busy. For whatever reason 90% of the groups were on two adjacent courses while the other two courses had one group between them. The distribution was not the best. There are also these numbered posts at the front of each hole to let you know which hole you're at. The problem is they are directly in the way of your swing. It's a strange design. The ball automatically keeps track of your strokes. This was pretty cool and we all had a great time with it. However, the voiceover that tallies your strokes at the end is very sarcastic and pokes fun at you if you go over. This is funny for adults but discouraging for kids. My son was having fun and then heard the voiceover and asked if he did a bad job. It would be great to have the option to play without the voiceover if you're playing with kids. My husband and I just kind of cheered over it to keep our kid distracted. We had a lot of fun and found it reasonably priced ($52 for three of us to play two 9 hole courses). We will definitely go again.
