I was in this location around 10:35 on sunday 3-26-2017 and the person making our drinks was so sloppy...wiped her nose, touched the cups, the machines, then pushed up her glasses, wiped her nose again, touched more cups and not to mention messed up every drink in our order, even snatched the cup out of my hand to remake it. If your sick, call in sick or do something where you are not spreading your germs all over the place. I usually enjoy this location. read more

I have waited way too long for my drinks here at least three times and each time I think about writing a review and then wait because I think maybe it was just a bad day -today was out of control waiting 10 minutes for one chai latte and one mocha. While I stood waiting, the barista chatted with her family and stopped and paused and laughed and giggled and chatted them up while I waited. I have to get to work Monday through Friday many people in this neighborhood don't have to and have more leisure time. If you're in a rush, go to Starbucks!!!! read more

Peet's coffee n pastries are amazing. I don't know why people go to Starbux when peetes is just around the corner. I usually drink a latte hot or cold and it's always good. They also added new pastries. Strawberry pound cake and confetti mini bites are awesome. I also like that this Peet's location is clean and friendly. read more

This review is loooong overdue, as I have been a loyal Peetnik for years and a customer of this particular Peet's store, since the day that they first opened in Rancho Bernardo. Prior to that, my wife and I went to the Torrey Highlands location for our Sunday AM breakfasts. The lattes and the breakfast food here is always first class, as are all of the friendly baristas at this location. This RB store is also my daily AM stop for a drip coffee on my way to work. Everything is always excellent and served with a caring and friendly attitude. Peet's is not Starbucks but, IMO, that is a GOOD thing. Peet's drip coffee and specialty drinks are far better than the other guys. I can't think of anything negative to say about this place but, I do miss the black forest ham lunch sandwiches that they offered at one time. read more

I love Peet's. It doesn't matter what Peet's I step foot into, it just gives me an overall happy feeling before their caffeinated beverages even pass my lips. I think it reminds me of a coffee shop my mom used to frequent when I was a kid: quiet, with soft music playing. No hustle and bustle of other coffee shops around. I'm still deciding on my signature drink here, it changes depending on the weather and my mood, but I've enjoyed everything I've tried. From the cold brew, to the black tie, so the seasonal Mayan mocha yesterday (cinnamony!). They also have the best foam on their lattes, I'm not sure how they do it. It was difficult to find Peet's with the construction going on, but I was glad I did. The staff was so friendly and helpful! I had no idea what I wanted, just that I needed some caffeine and didn't want a ton of calories. So happy to have a Peet's in Rancho Bernardo. It's near work and always has a friendly staff and consistent service and drink quality. The cold brew is good--tried the black tie and it was okay. I usually stick to iced lattes. It's a nice change for me and have added it into my regular coffee spot rotation. read more

Recently discovered Peet's coffee after arriving at the SD airport. Fell in love. Looked for one near escondido and found this location. Still loving the coffee here. So delicious. I do have to commend the young man and girl that were working here yesterday Friday 03/11/16 around 3:00. My son and I stopped in on the way to San Diego. My poor little man spilled his drink. The employees were so wonderful and sweet about it. They helped him to be a little less embarrassed over it. Thank you again guys for your wonderful customer service!!!!!!! Peet's is simply the best. They offer bold, delicately crafted coffee everyday, all day. All the baristas are trained to make each beverage an art and if you genuinely love coffee, you'll definitely love Peet's. For bold coffee lovers: Get their iced cold brew with cream or their americano. For those that have a sweeter tooth, but want a strong espresso flavor, get their vanilla latte iced. I can be a coffee snob (former barista) & I often forego 'chain' coffee shops. Bopped in here today, just to check it out & was pleasantly surprised. Friendly, attentive staff, who can carry on a conversation with customers while working = bonus points! Coffee drink knowledge & made my drink like I asked = A+. Nice quiet environment, which is inviting, if you have work to do or want to converse with a friend - all there. Oh & your peppermint mocha extra foam passed my splendid drink test - I didn't feel sick after I drank it. I will be back! read more

This location just opened! Had an iced coffee and they have a nice selection of high quality coffees and teas. I like the loose leaf Chinese teas (oolong, pu-er, jasmine, etc) -often the quality rivals or surpasses that of teas served in dim sum restaurants or milk tea joints. Peet's has excellent tasters and suppliers. Service was excellent and the store is brand sparkling new. Staff are well trained, professional, and friendly. read more

Finally! They had a set back on opening time because when they extended the patio they were required to add a second bathroom. The server was so friendly, I actually didn't ask for that information, I only mentioned I was excitedly waiting for them to open. The place looks wonderful! A complete remodel. I am excited about the patio expansion. Anyways, my beverage was pretty spectacular, all in all. I hate getting coffee on the go and I hate getting coffee from big name shops.. but occasionally it's convenient, so I do it. I rarely go to Peets because there isn't one locally, but I remember enjoying their chai before. We got the dirty chai latte to share and it's good! I am picky about my chai, I prefer to make it at home, but I like being able to get something on the go. It wasn't watery, too sweet or bitter. I hate chai at most of the big name coffee shops for all of the aforementioned reasons. I refuse to get it from ever-popular-down-the-street because it's too sweet and watery. Peets dirty chai was perfect. The spiciness is something I will go back for if I want chai on the go! I plan to go back for a chai latte and a matcha green tea.. if they can do either of those just as good, I won't be returning to Sbucks..! read more

This place replaced the other major coffee chain and my wife and I couldn't be happier! My favorite is their coldbrew, but to be honest I haven't had anything I didn't like yet. The staff are very nice and DIDN'T give me a pretentious eye roll when I once asked for "a Caramel Macchiato" or their equivalent. That HAS happened to me before lol. No snobbery here. Alyssa and the team at RB Peet's do a phenomenal job. Always greeting the customer, staying on top of store cleanliness, and consistent in time it takes to make our drinks. A must try is the WHITE CHOCOLATE MOCHA. My only complaint is that you cannot order ahead. Other than that, there drinks and food are great. read more

I was looking forward to a tasty cup of coffee, and left SO disappointed. I ordered a large. The barista poured and only filled the cup halfway. She asked if I wanted the rest with a medium roast, or wait. I opted to wait! In the end, she poured the fresh brew in the half-filled cup. The temperature was luke warm. Nice young people but it gets annoying when you have to repeat your order 3 times n then spend $4.50 for a coffee n they don't even fill the cup n then you watch them throw the balance down the sink! Love this location. The staff is always so sweet and accommodating. I go to this location almost daily because of how close it is to work. Not only is the staff super nice and friendly but the products they have are great! The breakfast sandwiches are amazing and don't feel like they came out of a package (like starbucks) but taste homemade. The chicken chorizo flatbread is amazing btw.
