I enjoy getting coffee here from time to time, switching it off from my normal Starbucks run. I like walking in and seeing all the delicious pastries through the glass. I don't usually come for pastries but I've bought some because they just look good. Will definitely stop by more, especially since Starbucks have long lines at times. Only because we love Peet's coffee I gave this place 2 stars. Other locations are great but sadly this one isn't so much. Twice my husband bought ground coffee for the machine at home and twice they gave us the incorrect grind even after specifically requesting it for the cone shaped coffee machine; once it was way too coarse and once it was waaay too fine. We used to get our ground coffee from the UTC branch and they always got it right. To be fair, when getting a beverage at the location, its actually really good. They just need to work on their grinding skills. read more

Love my pick me ups at Peet's! My current favorite is the Black Tie sub Vanilla instead of the Chicory. The RB location is in the Von's shopping center. Everyone is friendly and though I don't come in as often as I'd like (cuz most of the time I'm running late in the morning), they remember me and always try to get me out of there quickly. read more

Finally a Peets close by! Peets coffee is so excellent. Their major dicks whole bean is the only thing we like to grind in our home. On special mornings we make trips to Peets now that they're in RB. Clean, uncluttered, no gondolas of cookie straws or dinging microwave bells. You won't find your 700 calorie blended "coffee drink" here. I am always looking for new coffee places to try and I wanted to check out Petes because I saw the advertisements for the black tie. As I went onto the store I was friendly greeted by the person at the cashier and I proceeded to ask him about the new drinks that they had. He kindly answered my questions and I ordered the black tie. It was delish! It has three layers, condensed milk on the bottom, then cold brew coffee and a little sweetener, and a splash of half and half on top. I asked for it to be not as sweet and I think they did a great job with that. Other than the whole drink together I think that Petes cold brew is GREAT! I came in here earlier today needing a little pick-me-up. I ordered a small cold brewed iced coffee, but they had just about run out. Then an employee remembered they had more in the back. Yay! But, no one knew how to prepare it from the concentrate, so they had to look it up. I wasn't in a hurry, and they knocked a dollar off AND gave me a coupon for a complimentary drink for my trouble. I wish I could give five stars because the service was fantastic. Unfortunately, I just thought the coffee wasn't that great- I'm pretty accustomed to drinking black coffee, but it was quite bitter. This place is right by my work. Most of my coworkers prefer Peets coffee to the Starbucks nearby. I'm not a big coffee drinker, but I love tea. I'm not sure what it was, but my coworkers brought me this fruity drink from there one day and it was amazing!! I only wish I knew the name. Now I'm only giving it 3 stars because the other day when I went in I was craving a chocolate crescent. I went in right before work in the morning and figured their crescents would be fresh. Well this thing was far from it. I was really disappointed with it. I have a 20-year love affair with lattes and the best ones that I have had are in Oregon and Washington. They always taste richer, bolder, and creamier there without being bitter. At long last, I found something like that in San Diego. I don't know why it took me this long to try Peet's but I'm hooked now, even driving WAY out of my way to visit them versus going down the street to visit the green lady coffee chain. I love their maple lattes, and get a small with just two pumps of maple. It comes with 3 pumps, but that's just too sweet for me. I'm sure other people would like the extra sugar. This location is brand new so everything is super nice inside. The service is also excellent. I've found my new go-to study/coffee place. read more

I'm so excited that Peets has moved into RB! I've been traveling far to get Peets Coffee. I love this place. One of the reasons, they have almond milk - and great coffee. And they are amazing experts on the products they sell. If the water doesn't flow through the espresso just right they will remake it until it is perfect. One of my favorite things - they remembered my name the second time I went in! Yay! So, if I love them so much why only 4 star and not 5? Because their coffee is really great but it's not as awesome as some other places I've had coffee at here in San Diego county. My friend and I came in on Sat. for our 'pre thrift store shopping' coffee drink. Gwen behind the counter was sweet and wonderful! Love her! And the barista put a lovely heart on my latte :) But we got some bad news... that corporate had decided to pull hazelnut syrup from the menu. Really?? Hazelnut is a basic staple flavoring for coffee! Now I have to bring my own syrup when I come, or do you want me to go to Starbux for it? BRING BACK the hazelnut syrup. Stopped in for some caffeine & breakfast with my little one. There was no line & it was pretty quiet with only a few other guests. This used to be a Starbucks, but Pete's came in and did a overhaul inside & out. The interior is open & there's plenty of room on the big outdoor patio. They have a good variety of retail products. The service was friendly, not like in a loud & bubbly way, but like a calm, polite kind of way. My drink (a dirty chai) was good. I had to ask for my kid's bagel a second time & it was served unsliced & room temperature, which was fine. But I expected it to be at least sliced if not toasted... Have you ever tried to cut a bagel with a plastic knife? But, maybe that's not how they do it here. Anyway, Pete's is a great addition to the hood! I would definitely send people this way. read more

I visit this shop every morning 7 days and banana bread finishes before 10am. So this means they have to order more. But they dont. This place is close to my work and i genuinely like Peets as a coffee place but this location consistently screws up or just plain forgets to make my drink when it's busy. They've given two free coffee gift cards for forgetting to make my drink and me having to ask them where it is. Each time they told me that someone else much have taken my drink in error but if that was the case, there would've been an extra one left over at the pick up area. I've also ordered things light ice or 'save room for cream' and those requests appear to be cute suggestions that they ignore. In the one case where i asked for room for cream the girl told me to take a couple chugs of my hot coffee to make room for the cream. Really???! I'm not trying to chug my coffee like that; just leave room like i asked. Ug. i am a huge Peet's coffee fan. it is pretty obvious in my social media accounts that this is the place to be for coffee say this x-barista. they dont have to pay me for it so sing my praises of them. we get Peet's whenever we can all up and down so cal trips. on the road, we search for a new Peet's location and go to it even if it is out of the way. it is worth the drive out. i found it at the Arizona airport and it was the highlight of the day. Anywho, the moment i found out about this location, I stalked them. Finally opened in the last week or so and I have already been there 4 times. The coffee and drinks is amazing. It is never too sweet and I never get a migraine here. Something about the processing they do with the beans? The pastries are never overly sweet either. Neither the drinks. Everything is rich and perfect. I can't stand how the other places makes these super sweet drinks and call it a coffee drink - ew! If you love tons of sugar, you might not like Peets but if you like less sugar and quality real taste, Peet's is it. Lately, I have been getting the caramel latte with whole milk. Some will make it a salted caramel for me and some won't as it is a seasonal item. I don't want to get anyone in trouble but i am so grateful for those that have made it with the salt for me. I heart you!! Cold drink, I recommend the Green Matcha Javiva. It is just like their former drinks referred to as Freddos but it is richer and even better ingredients, according to the guy who explained to me what the new drinks were. I heard it was community day today, April 18, 2014 at Peet's Coffee. There is nothing on Google search about. They have a sign up on the counter in the store about it but the workers don't mention it to the customers (been there several times already). This location is not listed on the main Peet's website and I do not see a facebook page. I go here at least twice a week; Peet's is fitting right in Rancho Bernardo! Their coffee is always fresh and I believe it's higher in quality compared to Starbucks. My go to drink is the Iced Carmel Macchiato, I'm never disappointed! The employees are always very welcoming and can hold great conversations. They seem relaxed and they are enjoying themselves, which makes us customers want to enjoy ourselves too! read more
