Apparently, giving out cups of ice is a "Fireable Offense." Seriously Starbucks? Quite honestly, this is why I love supporting local coffee shops. I only stopped here because I was in the middle of a long bike ride. After I was told, by the barista, that handing out ice was a fireable offense, I offered to purchase something. I have been going to this Starbucks for years. The store seems l too be well run, clean and the staff very pleasant. One of the baristas seems to be quite helpful and friendly. He was gone for a while but thankfully came back. Frankly, I had missed him he was so friendly, always remembered my name, had my drink waiting for me by the time I reached the register. He really stood out. His green apron days "Luis". He's back! I am so happy to see him working there again. While I was drinking my drink today, I overheard several customers say how great he was and welcoming him back! Wow! What a joy to have this young man here! Love my Starbucks! Ask for Luis. God forbid I ask to use the restroom. I even answered her question whether I had purchased something by saying "very early this morning." This location is always super quick and friendly! I often place mobile orders and they are always ready in the predicted time! Today I went in around 1 and the staff was super nice and made my drink right away! The drink was delicious and made perfectly. This starbucks has a good amount of parking and is right next to an Albertsons. There is plenty of places to sit inside and outside, however it gets pretty busy with students and people trying to work. I would recommend coming early if you are meeting someone to ensure you get seating! Some of my favorite drinks are an iced coffee with sugar free vanilla and a splash of cream and if I want a hot drink I would suggest a hot mocha with soy! Nice SBUX located around the corner from where we stay frequently. It has a cute layout inside, and can be pretty full up in the mornings. Its very inviting; so much so that I had to wait 30 minutes to catch an empty seat inside... Good wireless, friendly staff. It's cool to watch the older gentlemen playing Chess near the front entrance. They are having fun, and it adds to the ambiance of this particular store. This Starbucks is one of the most crowded and loud one in my region. The tables are SUPER close together, the parking lot is really tight and inside the store - the floor plan is packed. From the towers of product to the small are that remains for the line - it's a noisy, jumbled area. I'd suggest they clear out some of the clutter and think about a different seating plan. The locals have really taken possession of the space and have even a basket of games in the corner like chess. While I LOVE coffee shop culture, this one has been over run. read more

I go to Starbucks all the time and enjoy it very much. I've gone to multiple different ones. This location I wouldn't recommend. I went in to get my free birthday drink. I also ordered a ham and Swiss breakfast sandwich. The guy at the register asked someone else if they had them and the other person said yes. I paid and waited for my drink and food. I was told after paying that they don't have the breakfast sandwich I ordered. Also, the lady (her apron said kim) who was making my drink must have not realized I was standing right there and listening to her conversation with her coworker. They were making fun of my drink saying that light ice was not going to work. They were snickering and I felt very offended. I got my drink and it tasted awful and diluted. Happened to be in Poway for work and ran across this little Starbucks and I say little because it was a tad on the tiny side. This Starbucks is located and shares its parking lot with a large strip mall of stores including several restaurants and a Supermarket. I am not sure even during the busiest of times / seasons this parking lot would never reach capacity. I walked into this Starbucks and found the Sunday crowd starting to build. The staff & baristas did their best to keep the line moving as quickly as possible. I had several other patrons in front of me and before I knew it, it was my time to order. My orders tend to be the same and I again went with a 'San OB' which consists of two chamomile tea bags, 2 inches of steamed soy, 1 packet of agave syrup and some cinnamon and the barista made it perfectly. I can tell right away when the barista did not take the time to make my drink by simply taking off the lid and looked at the steamed soy. If there is no foam and just muddy water I know the barista simply does not care because in my opinion this would not be acceptable if they ordered the drink. With this order I took the top off and say a huge amount of steamed foamy soy floating on top and was stoked. The drink itself tasted amazing. This Starbucks has a small outdoor patio area for patrons. I found the inside of this Starbucks to be spotless including the bathrooms. My only complaint about this Starbucks would be the area in which you wait for your drink to be ready is in the walking path of other patrons trying to squeeze through a tiny area. Even with that being said the size of this location is not enough to keep me away. If and when I find myself in this area again I would without hesitation visit this location again. read more

Best Starbucks hands down!

This is one of the nicest Starbucks anywhere. I was traveling today and forgot my phone charger, JOHN lent me his personal charger. Talk about extraordinary service. In the two hours I have been here, John and his co-worker, Jacob, have been fantastic with customers. In a short period, a woman was choking, they quickly and unobtrusively supplied water. A group of unruly kids came in with bottles of juice and asked for ice in cups. They proceeded to pour the juice over the ice and sort of act badly but were treated with complete courtesy. It is hot out and the kids were in real need. All customers were treated with extreme courtesy. Others have noted the nice customer service. I came, I saw, I experienced it. I sat down with my coffee a couple hours before they closed, and one of the employees was frantically sweeping around me which i did not appreciate. To top it off she left her broom right in front of the condiment station while changing the trash bag (again, it was way before they had to close) and customers had to try and and go around the broom in order to get their milk, sugar etc. This was definitely not the type of Starbucks experience i would have liked to have. read more
