For starters this location has not changed a bit... A+++ on customer service the staff are the best. There is plenty of room, seating is inside and outdoor. Store is kept. Clean and well lit. I like this Peet's because it actually seems like a neighborhood coffee shop. There's a Starbucks just across the street, but I also choose to take the walk and wait to cross the Alameda to come over to the Peet's side. The staff are warm and friendly, and best of all fast! I'm usually in a hurry, or late, so I don't stop and linger, but whenever I take a glimpse at the people lounging in this location, they generally look content! read more

Peet's is great! I walk here almost everyday during work hours. They provide great customer service! This Peet's is always crowded and their is always a line. There are some tables and seats available, if you need one, you better take it! Construction is always a problem. There is always something going on Alameda. Sometimes this slows down the "crossing the street"process or sidewalk standing. read more

Surprisingly, I actually really like this place. I'm no huge coffee addict by the way, so if you're not, and you're reading my review, then this will definitely help. However if you're a coffee addict, please skip right on through. I've found this Peet's coffee to be put together very neatly. It's sort of strange to say, but there's a real good feng shui going on here. You walk in and immediately feel warm, cozy, and welcomed. As I mentioned, I'm not a huge coffee drinker, so it really consoles my mind when I walk right up to the counter to tell them I have no idea what to order, and the cashier walks me through the menu in great detail. I had the pleasure to speak with one barista about a couple of weeks ago, where I came in uninitiated to this world of caffeine and did exactly that. I told him I had no idea what to order... and well even today as I'm writing this review I don't really know what I ordered. But it tasted damn good. So there's that! Anyways, Peet's coffee, great for the newbies, and apparently great for caffeine veterans. read more

I still love Peet's! This one can be a little difficult to get to and the parking is small, but usually I'm in and out with my drink very quickly. My usual drink is either an iced or hot nonfat latte. Friendly efficient staff. Aww, I miss my favorite Peet's. This location is spacious and clean, the staff is friendly and efficient, and the tea is excellent. Whenever I visit my former coworkers, this is where I stop for a caffeine hit. Two hours of Wi-Fi come with your order, so stagger your purchases if you'll be there longer that that. read more

IPeople who love coffee know that it doesn't get any better than Peet's. And by "coffee" I mean "coffee" - not a low fat soy latte with extra whip and 1/2 shot of espresso and chocolate sprinkles. I mean DRIP COFFEE - BLACK. Unfortunately 1 out of every 2 times I come here they don't have drip ready to go. COME THE F ON. What started as a minor annoyance that I interpreted as my own bad timing is actually a constant at this place. They're perpetually dry and have to 'make a new batch' while a bunch of us stand around watching people get their frothy mocha chai slurpees. read more

I visit this Peet's most every weekend and always have a great experience. They staff is one of the most wonderful parts of the experience and they aptitude to being friendly and informative is outstanding. They are constantly maintaining the store and store front so even though it is a highly trafficked location it never feels that way when you come and stay. One of the great things for our four legged friends is that they keep a clean bowl of water out front and it great for walks on hot days. The coffee and tea are like any other Peet's chain and that is delicious. I am a tea drinker so i can not comment on the coffee so much but they always offer you loose leaf or bagged and warm or iced so you can always maximize your tasting time. Their pastries are always scrumptious and offer everything from vegan cookies and muffins to chocoholic delights. My only grip is that I wish they would bring by the Chocolate Cherry Banana Bread ( my favorite) but apparently i am the only one and corporate decided to axe it. If you are looking for a nice place to have meet and drink with some friends then this is definitely a great place to stop. read more

I think I'm beginning to enjoy Peet's coffee more than Starbucks. The only inconvenience is there are very few around my hood. But IT IS INDEED ALL GOOD IN THE HOOD, because I don't mind driving a few extra miles. Whenever I come here, it isn't crowded. Which is a plus. There's always at least one or two tables open. PLUS! Especially if you need to do work (or go on facebook on Yelp). I enjoy the Freddo more than the Frap at Starbucks. Reason being... it has a much more creamier finish. YUM-O! This is definitely one of the better Peet's stores. The staff is super friendly, the store is spacious, and the location is great. Since graduating from college I don't come here as often but I liked to come here and do homework because it was spacious and less crowded and noisy than most Starbucks. It's also close to so many businesses I could grab lunch elsewhere and come back for more coffee and homework. The coffee is stronger than I'm used to so it/I require more milk and sugar than usual, but still good. There is outdoor seating but it's such a busy street it's not that enjoyable to sit outside and have a coffee. If you're going to grab coffee in the area then come here, they're much friendlier than the Starbucks right across the street. read more

The guy I spiked on the phone and the girl barista who I asked a question has 0 zero customer service and needs a proper training if a frequent customer ask a question, not by saying excuse me? Still my go to coffee provider as it has MUCH better coffee than Starbucks, but with Peet's expansion and rebranding it has moved closer to mainstream-Starbuckesque styling. Friendly staff and great drinks! They have a private lot, but there is parking available on the street. I came here on their free coffee day last Friday from 1-3pm and it was poppin'! They had a ton of guests, but handled it really well. Their order line moved quickly and the drinks were made within a reasonable time despite the volume. I was really impressed that they all kept their cool and didn't make the patrons feel like they hated us for torturing them with our large mint black ties with almond milk. :) read more

I'm back at my favorite coffee shop and the temperature is perfect! Im sorry for the 2 starts I gave you guys last time. The staff has always been caring, friendly and genuine. My chai has always perfect! The volume of the music at a perfect volume that allows me to study, read a book or enjoy a conversation. Jonathan always makes me feel like he is happy to see me. This is the only place I am a regular because I always like to try new places but the fact that I have 6 other coffee shops closer to me than this one but I still prefer to be here should tell you something great about them. I love my morning coffee ..and look forward to getting my latte everymorning =) and i was starting to become a regular here .. until the blonde boy with the glasses made my drink ... he was mad because i asked if my latte had caramel in it ., like i had requested at the register.. he then took my drink back and poured some caramel in it and re heated the milk and handed it right back instead of making it all over.. when i tasted it i almost spit it out..milk was burnt..the worst drink ive ever tasted ..i had to throw it away =( ..it wasnt my fault they messed up my order.. read more

Parking: hit and miss, there is a small parking area behind the building that is shared amongst most the businesses on this curve of the Alameda, but there is street parking in the local neighborhood as well. Customer Service: great, the barista helping me at the register helped me in picking a drink. I got a peppermint tea, which was a good choice due to the season. The drink comes with 2 tea bags with an option to put either both at once or one at a time. They even offer to refill hot water for the second bag, which is pretty nice if you want something to sip on while you read. Atmosphere: Relaxed, nice soft music in the background, with a selection of chairs and tables to lounge or read at. If it is your first time here, they have a wall that shows the type of teas they have, and the menu is very descriptive of the flavors of all the items they offer here. The wifi, is a bit slow. Drink: peppermint tea, very flavorful. Served with very hot water and 2 bags. I opted to use one at a time, the tea has a strong peppermint taste after you take every sip. It helped soothe my stomach, very good if you want a wake me up without the caffeine. read more

Ah, this Peet's is killing me with its overuse of plastic and packaging. Every time I come in, I specifically ask for the minimum amount of plastic and other single use waste with my order and every time, they don't listen. They did great early in the pandemic. It would be so nice to see creative solutions now to all of the garbage generated while we can't bring in our own reusable mugs or cups. read more

I like coming here because their tea selection is so good. Many more options and higher quality tea than Starbucks. The wifi is shaky though. It'll often cut out. There are a couple really friendly baristas but most are mostly pretty apathetic to customers. Id love to see more smiles and hear more good mornings, etc! read more

I definitely prefer Peet's Coffee over Starbucks for a variety of reasons, but most of all, because the quality of Peet's Coffee is 10x times better than the coffee at Starbucks by far. I do not order overly complicated drink orders which is nice because it makes the enjoyment of my everyday grande vanilla or hazelnut latte all the more sweeter! :) However, the only downside I would have to say now with Peet's is that they got rid of their classic cinnamon rolls! :( Plus, at some Peet's locations, they are out of pastries before they are even open an hour... It is definitely a bummer when I cannot order my new favorite food item (a crumble blueberry muffin), but I know there are more important things in life. Love you Peet's! read more

I work down the street from this Peet's so at first it was just convenient to stop by (not to mention I prefer Peet's to Starbucks any day!) on my way home from work from time to time for a little pick me up. From the start, the atmosphere has always felt warm, clean and the employees are friendly and attentive. Over time I've become a regular and the staff instantly knows my drink and makes an effort to "catch up" if there isn't a huge rush (and even you don't go overlooked). My love for Peet's is as much about the people and atmosphere as it is about the coffee. I come here to work and engage in internet faloofaloofling. I LOVE the coffee, loose leaf teas, and pastries; all of the workers are so cool and memorize what you like and how; most of the workers know their regulars' names (and there are a lot of regulars); and the windows and skylights let in plenty of natural sunlight. It all makes for a sense of community that I have found hard to find. My favorite drinks: soy latte, loose leaf earl gray w/ steamed soy, and, when I'm in a sassy mood, a soy sugar-free mocha. ;) read more

This is nice large location in a quieter part of town. I really like their teas but I find that their coffes give me a stomachache. Maybe I would be okay if I drank smaller amount of it. Doesn't taste bad or anything. But I am sticking to their teas right now. And they have a large variety. I guess that it why they aren't just called Peet's Coffee. For hot tea, you can choose a teabag or you can have them brew some tea leaves for you (takes about 5 minutes). I probably like their Oolong the best right now but I haven't tried them all. The service seems very nice here and they do have a large menu. Nice place to hang out and use their free-wifi. They have plenty of seating and outlets for laptops/tablets/phones. I see some people complaining about Starbucks but there is actually a Starbucks connection to Peet's. One of the original co-founders bought into Peet's with other investors and sold out of Starbucks. There is more to the story but check it out. They are definitely competitors but maybe not as fiercely as believed. I think both companies are doing well and I enjoy them both. Yes, there is a Starbucks across the street but there seems to be a lot of business in this area. A lot of vehicular traffic , not much pedestrian traffic. read more

Looking for a Christmas Gift card. I went there at 10:30am today the guy at counter said there system is off line. WHAT? a day before Xmas??? I have gone to Peet's coffee since they opened the business on The Alameda street. I regularly have come here because the employees are super friendly and they have a great service. They are always smiling to the customers. Also, I like the community in which everybody knows each other. Also, manager Jonathan is a very good manager. Service was great and fast but I soooo did not like their chai tea. When I entered into fitness pal, it's substantially lower in calorie and sugar than Starbucks chai so I should be giving it a 10 star!!
