I really like this place. Pizza is decent and always hot as hell. Even for delivery. I've had People's Choice from a few locations but the Unionville one is the best. I have no clue why but it's delicious. We love getting fries, wings and pizza. Get the garlic dipping sauce for razzle dazzle. Oh and they are the bomb for offering more than just food right now (Covid-19). Got a box of 100 gloves for $3.50!! Delivered to our door. And they left the food on porch for no contact! I dont think I ever gave a 1 star before, but when you order two grinders and throw them out after few bites, thats a zero, the 1 star is for the quick delivery. My first time trying this place out, and although I likes the cheese pizza, the food was overcooked and the fries were very disappointing. Soggy and burnt for the most part and just a waste of money. The chicken wings were decent but did not come with any dip (?) which I assumed was a standard thing. The piggly wiggly pizza was tasty but definitely overcooked. So, it seems like they can send out bad food and just think "we don't have time or money to make this right by the customer". People's Choice has, for many years now, been a reliable, cost-friendly option for those lazy Sundays or mid-week treats for the Farmington Valley area. Even their sub-par online ordering system is acceptable, due to its overall efficiency in order accuracy. Yesterday's delivery changed that impression for me indefinitely. A party of three including myself ordered food for delivery around 12:30 pm. We all ordered non-pizza items, more specifically wraps, burgers, and grinders. When the food was delivered, I did not even think to double check the items before closing the door. As soon as we opened the bags, I noticed my order was completely wrong. Instead of receiving a hot, vegetarian grinder with onions and a side of curly fries, I found a veggie wrap with mushrooms and no side. Naturally confused, I called People's Choice to ask what happened. The man who answered the phone listened to my complaint and then put me on hold for at least two minutes. He returned, only to mumble back that he would have the order remade and send it out. After twenty five minutes, the same delivery man came back. He then hands me a small box inside a paper bag. Before he had the chance to leave, I opened the box and all I saw were my side of fries. When I asked him where my sandwich was, he said, "I don't know." At this point, I am pretty ticked off. I call People's Choice again and a woman answers. She also puts me on hold. After another two minutes, I finally get to ask her about the mishap of both deliveries. She tells me if I want to have it redelivered, I would have to wait another thirty minutes! I tell her instead that I am coming in to pick it up. Ten minutes later, I arrive. The hostess in the front asks me if im the grinder guy. She brings out the food and quietly gestures, "sorry about the mix up" to not grab their in house customer's attention. No one offered an extended apology, any additional food or a partial/full refund for the trouble we received today. I do not eat out much, making my decisions towards food picky. The amount of lemon pepper was so much so that taking a bite was like tasting battery acid. The chicken tenders were so augmented by the enormous amount of spice that they had to be thrown out. Too bad yelp doesn't allow ZERO Stars. This was probably the worse take out food I have ever gotten. I gave this place a try on a Sunday night. The ordering process was painful. Took over 7 minutes to place my order with the clerk on the phone. He was very unprofessional and incompetent. He kept messing up my order. I proceeded to order two ziti and meatball meals along with a small cheese pizza. The delivery was to take 20-30 minutes. The only decent part of this experience was the delivery driver coming sooner and he was pretty nice. $25 for a small pizza and ziti is not reasonable either! So the food arrives and we open the bag after he leaves. We come to find only one ziti meal instead of two and a salad so small that it literally had three pieces of lettuce. The meatballs from this establishment made me ill the next day. I will never order from this place again and recommend you read the other unpleasant reviews. I tried this place twice, and frankly I hae to wonder why it is still in business. With quality competitors such as George's or Naples Pizza, I know for certain eating twice here was two times too many. The first time I went there I tried the fish platter. It came in a box, and had a medium portion of old looking thin fries that literally look like just came out of a freezer bag. So dissapointing. The Fish was worse. Its breading stuck to the bottom of the box, and was hardly edible. It was thin, super greasy, and tasteless. This was all for around 15 dollars too. I thought to myself, perhaps this was just not the kind of place to 'order fish', so I decided to give them another try with my roomate. We each ordered a small calzone, and it was around 10$ each. Mine was the supreme, and it was supremely bad. The portion was tiny, and it was probably about 70% pizza dough. It was dry, and each of us were throroughly dissapointed. Over the last year I have noticed a big change in the unionville people's choice. The pizzas and sauce are all now made from scratch and I enjoy them much more. The wings are larger than before. I order them extra crispy because I like a crisp to my wings and you may not get that if you don't do extra crispy. The delivery time is usually less than 30 minutes and they now have wine and beer on tap if you want to eat in or wait for your food. Short version: Bit down into a staple, called the store, and the manager snarkily replied, "Well what do you want us to do about it?" Long version: Ordered a large salad, two medium pizzas for guests and mozzarella sticks. The guy taking my order sounded like he was having a conversation with another employee as I ordered the mozzarella sticks, so I asked him - three times - if he heard me. He finally snapped back "YEA I GOT IT" at me. When the delivery got here; the large salad (my entire dinner for the night) was a small, and no mozzarella sticks. No big deal right? Except the sticks were the ONE thing somebody else in the house had paid for as their dinner. I called back and as I was explaining the situation, the guy who answered the phone put down the phone without a word and then a woman started talking. She said she'd have the mozzarella sticks sent right over. Almost an hour goes by, and we're eating our food as the other person waits for their mozzarella sticks which still haven't arrived. I'm taking a bite of my salad and I bite into a STAPLE; a staple that looked like it was ripped out of a sheet of paper. From how I bit down on it, it actually left a groove in one of my bottom teeth. Had the situation been handled better AFTER this, I wouldn't be saying this, but having some time to think it over, I sincerely feel it was intentional. I feel that the person taking my order had a problem with me repeatedly asking whether or not he had heard me order the mozzarella sticks. What happened next was absolutely appalling. I called the restaurant back and spoke to "Ashley" whose response was "What do you want us to do about it" so I asked for the number of the main office - she gave me the following phone number, 860-673-7907, to call to speak to the manager and when I asked her for the name of the person who took my order when I called earlier, she said she didn't know what I was talking about; I explain to her again it was the person who took my order, and she still refused to give me his name. She again used the phrase, "I don't know what you're talking about." I finally hung up on her, called the number she gave me and was redirected to what sounded like a private voicemail. Infuriated, I called another random store in the chain (Manchester) and spoke to their manager who was WONDERFUL. He informed me that there's a certain protocol to follow whether or not the customer is right or wrong and that the Unionville store was definitely not following protocol. He gave me the phone number to the actual franchise owner who I am still waiting to hear back from. The soonest appointment I could get to my dentist is in 13 days. read more

We ordered and picked it up last week. The tomato on the pie was nice & sweet and I appreciated that from a chain place.
