Was a loyal customer for years, but the service has gone WAY down. Last time I ordered before today our delivery person barely spoke English and wouldn't give us an ONLINE coupon insisting he couldn't leave until the coupon was in his hand. After calling back in and being spoken to very rudely I finally got a manager on the phone and she told me that he was new and offered us a $10 credit. I was hesitant to order for months but finally decided to use my credit today. We ordered a pizza and 20 wings. 20 wings came without ANY sauce, any celery. I called back in and was told that under new rules, sauce comes only with an additional charge. Shouldn't have I been told this on the phone?? I have never heard such a thing. All of this for mediocre food. The food is ok, but not great. Regardless, they have lost my business of 15 yrs and I will never order from them again. read more

Recently moved to the area and needed a pizza delivered. Called and was told 30 min for a pizza. The person who took my order also could not answer whether or not I could add tip on the credit card slip when the driver arrived. 55 min later I called to ask where the pizza was. After some yelling back and forth on the other end I finally got "ummm yeah we sent it out a while ago they should be there in like five-10 min or something bye" 10 min later the pizza finally arrived. Excited I happily settled in now starving and the pizza was ice cold. I called the complain and my options were box back up the pizza and wait for an exchange OR a $5 credit in my NEXT order. No apologies and quite a rude response on the phone. Now I am left with pizza I need to microwave and that already has burnt pepperoni on top. Hopefully someone else delivers around her. read more

The wife likes the pizza. I ordered a ham grinder and was very disappointed. The meat was skimpy and the tomatoes were skin only. Asked for onion and it was hard to find. Won't order again. read more

Certainly 5-star at the moment!!! My husband and I had become increasingly unsatisfied with our usual go-to pizza delivery choice (cold, dry, at least an inch of dough not touched with sauce and/or topping), and decided we HAD to try somebody else! Not only is People's Choice in Unionville close by, but it's what we've been looking for in a pizza! The crust is thin (our choice), the sauce and toppings go right to the edge (no wasted thick edges that end up in the garbage -- I ate the whole thing!), plus it was not a "dry" pizza. It was juicy and tasty even to the last room-temperature piece! So sorry to read the several negative comments, but I'm glad they didn't influence me. Granted, this has only been one experience, but I'm looking forward to many more great pizza orders!! read more

HORRIBLE!!!! do not order from here!! my friend and i got sick after a few bites. the food was too greasy. Ive been having cramps, nausea and diarrhea! I called and complain and the worker said " since You work in the Heath field you probably got it from the residents!" She was rude and unprofessional about the situation. Horrible! Food came incorrect...manager argued about replacing - wanted to give us a $5 credit on food that costs $20. What we got that was cooked right tasted like it had gone bad. Prices have increased substantially with less food given. I repeated the order to the person on the phone 2 times who still got it wrong....never again! read more

The owners are real scumbags they violate labor laws treat the employees like garbage ignore food safety, and overall upkeep of store/equipment in the name of food cost, saw a lot of grimy stuff nobody washes their hands the inside of the coolers are rotted and rusty. good pizza but if you knew the people your money was going to you wouldn't fork it over. There should be a zero star button. I see other people's reviews and think "at least they got a pizza!" We got home late from work and ordered pizza at 10:15, at 11:20 we started wondering where our pizza was. I called and was instantly put on hold for 9 minutes, then they hung up on me. I called right back and was told my pizza was on its way and would be there with in 15 minutes. At 11:45pm I called inquiring about its whereabouts & was told the delivery guy had come to our house & called us but was told we didn't order pizza. (We live in a multi family and have dogs so we sat on the porch to keep the dogs from barking, never saw anyone drive by or pull up so he didn't even show up). Kid on the phone checked our online order to see the delivery kid had messed up our number. So they offered to remake our food and would have it to us by 12:15, a half hour later. 12:20 rolls around, still no pizza. The poor kid that answers is so kind and so frustrated and can't believe it either. I ask to speak to the manager, she won't get on the phone, no offer to remake and deliver no charge. No offer to do anything for us except refund us, and well DUH, you can't charge for something you didn't deliver!!!! I called the simsbury location to see if they could help us. The staff was so rude "we close soon, we don't want to make anymore food, sorry". I can't believe People's Choice is still in business after the experience we had. I'll be sure to call the owner, Rob and tell him what an awful experience we had. And still no dinner!!!! Don't waste your time. Cook at home or order earlier bc this place is the worst. read more

My husband and I loved People's Choice simply because of the customer service. Yes, the food is great, but we enjoyed the kind and professional employees we encountered - both on the phone and in person. However, tonight absolutely destroyed the loyalty and trust we had for People's Choice. This is not to point fingers at any other location, but what we experienced over the phone tonight in Manchester CT was just so disappointing. Hey, if you're someone who just wants good food, this is certainly the place for you. And truth be told, tonight was the first and only bad experience we've had with this company. But I have to say, that if you are going to be someone who keeps their customers and keeps them for a long time... Please do us a favor and make sure you have employees on staff that actually care for the customers who call in. I'm sorry, but not only am I calling you with a pre-determined sense of confidence towards the service I am about to receive, but I am also giving you my money. At least ACT like you want to talk to me. I don't care how busy you are, I don't care how horrible your day at work has been. I am you CUSTOMER. And there is something about the CUSTOMER SERVICE business that one must seriously understand. It is absolutely imperative to your business, and one foul employee can lose you a customer (or two or three or more...) for a lifetime. I can personally attest to this as my career is completely and fully surrounding customer service. I just have to get this off my chest, and I honestly am very disappointed that my faith in People's choice has been tainted by this one, small circumstance.
