On 4/30/25 I tried Peppi's for the first time. Sadly I will not be returning I ordered two large pastrami's and a small cold cut sandwich, small chilli cheese fries, horchata and Diet Pepsi. I don't see how reviews say generous portions all the sandwiches I ordered hardly had any pastrami in them and an excessive amount of mustard,the cold cut sandwich was practically all bread. I didn't like the chili fries. I don't see how you can go wrong with chili fries but they did. We ordered sandwiches from this place. The service was fast and the staff were friendly. We tried the pastrami the first time and we liked it. We like that they are shaved like and not thick and the bread is fresh and light. The second time, we ordered it again, and we must say it is definitely to our liking we also tried the cheese steak. Looking for lunch in Fontana? I was. After driving around hungry for what felt like 15 minutes, I stumbled upon Peppi's. The outside reminds me of every great burger place I visited throughout my childhood. Growing up in Southern California there's always been plenty of options. I don't get to venture out into the Fontana area very often so I'm rather picky with where I eat while I'm out here. Today I tried somewhere new and I'm happy to say I'll be adding it to my list of favorites for this part of the IE. The menu made me nervous, and by that I mean that I made it to the front of the line and had to quickly skim it and make up my mind so as to not slow down the imaginary people behind me (there was no one else in line, really) and I decided on a double cheeseburger combo, upgrade to chili cheese fries and a side of zucchini with a Sierra Mist (Pepsi products at this joint). After waiting 9 minutes for my order, I got everything exactly as I had ordered it. Everything looked delicious, especially those giant zucchini strips staring at me through the opening in the paper bag. The burger has a great flavor to it. The patties taste better than your average frozen patty you usually get from mom and pop shops. They are seasoned well and 2 of them is the perfect amount of meat on a burger. Tons of veggies and sauce. The fries threw me off a bit, they are COVERED in cheese but I can't taste it at all. What I can taste, though, is the chili. That's the odd part. I think it's the meat in the chili that's got a strong, great flavor and it totally overpowered the taste of the fries and the cheese. All in all they are still great fries, but I think I'll get regular fries next time. I didn't love them, but I couldn't stop eating them! The zucchini has got to be what I was most excited for. Just look at the pictures below, that is some BOMB LOOKING ZUCCHINI. If I'm being honest, it wasn't my favorite. Don't get me wrong, they are the perfect size and the breading had an amazing crisp on it, the actual zucchini was cooked perfectly, but the breading tasted like just breadcrumbs. No seasoning that stood out, no distinguishable flavors besides zucchini and bread. I think they would pair great with a thousand island dip. I really can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu. I hear the bulgogi is good, and it looks fantastic so I will definitely be back to try that. My wife also LOVES pastrami so I'm sure we'll come back to try that. read more

This place is considered historical in Fontana and is pretty well known for its offerings. This was not my first time here, in fact, my wife and son are huge fans. Today we came for a quick lunch and we went with the kids meal burger, pastrami sandwich, and pastrami burger. For the pastrami sandwich, there are two sizes and I had a reasonable appetite, which made me go with the 6 inch (smaller version). My wife loves the pastrami burger, but she never finishes it and my son gets the kid meals. The fries are crinkle cut and you're given a smaller portion, but the combo is definitely filling. The drinks are typical soft drinks and there's no issue there. As far as cost, it cost $26 for three meals and one was a kid meal. It is kind of pricy, but you're getting a good decent lunch for the price. Overall, I'll keep coming here and look forward to enjoying their pastrami sandwich. read more

This place was so good and the food tasted fresh. They don't have a drive thru, but it's a walk up window. The zucchini fries were perfect. The Korean bbq combo comes with rice under the beef, and a side of either fries or salad and a drink. I would come here again. read more

My husband and I have frequent this place for years after seeing the rave reviews for channel 5. I love their pastrami and olde fashioned cheese burgers. They also, use to make the best street tacos on the weekends on the patio of the restaurant but now I believe it was under a different management and the quality of food and service is not the same. Love the way the sign looks when you come in! They got Korean food Mexican food and burgers! We got the bulgogi and the Hawaiian burger and I ended up eating before I took a picture! This used to be our favorite place. They were our go to if they were open. Now I would never go there again. We ordered a kids meal on top of our food. When we got home there was mold on the bun. I scratched the bun hoping it was residue from the grill but some spots were deep. Definitely mold. I wasn't too upset over the mold. I called and so it could be replaced the next day when I went out. I was going to serve his fries and cook him something else. The lady insisted that even if I was going to get it replace the next day I would have to bring it. I was not going to drive around with a hamburger with a moldy bun all day. So my husband and I agreed to go in and she agreed to replace all the fries. We get there and they tried to convince us that it was not mold. Was rude and accusing. We have got there at least once a week for the last year. Order was always almost right and when it wasn't we'd make do. So it's not the mold on the bun that gets them one star it's how they handled it. Peppis during the years has been really good and great Service, but recently there's been 2 guys in the evening that don't care about their job and stop taking phone calls or phone orders at 6:30pm even dought they close at 7pm. I've called a total of 3 times already and they never pick up or they answer the phone and hung up really quick. These 2 Punks are making Peppis look really Bad.
