I'm not sure when this happened, but this store carries Just Food For Dogs. It's real food, cooked, frozen, and packaged by a company in Orange County. I used to have it shipped to our house, but then my husband found a store that sold it near his office. This week was telecommuting for my husband, and the hounds were running low so we were pleasantly surprised to find a store that carried it closer to home. I stopped by on my way home from work and found the freezer at the back of the store and loaded up my cart. Also added a package of healthy pumpkin treats. Came in because I needed some questions answered. Shannen and Brittanney were so knowledgeable and helpful. The veterinarian recommended Just food for dogs. My chihuahua is overweight. Brittinney has her cat on the exact brand of food. She showed me photos. I was amazed. Within 3 days her cat had lost weight and her fur was shinier. Shannen had helped us first. She left us to get Brittinney because she had more knowledge of the product. Shannen said she needed to increase her knowledge because she too was putting her animal on the same food. I loved that they both took the time to answer my questions and guide me to the right purchase for Foxannes needs. I have put a before photo on this review. Now we wait. Much like other reviewers, customer service (both blondes without name tags) specifically at checkout were extremely rude. We were waiting in line hoping we didn't get one lady specifically but we did. No greeting, no eye contact, just asked for the phone number and if we wanted a bag. Rudely grabbed our items and threw them in a bag. I didn't take it personal because she even gave her fellow employee in the grooming department attitude for not helping checkout even tho she was scheduled to be off in 5mins. They refused to sell us medically necessary food for our obviously injured animal. Saying we need a prescription from petco pharmacy on top of the prescription from our veterinarian. I'm looking into legal action on this. As I'm pretty sure it's illegal to deny an in stock medication to someone who has a prescription for that medication. read more

Went in to buy a plecostomus for my 10 gallon tank. The employee refused to sell me one! I have 2 Molly's in there now that have been in there for over a year. The lady tried telling me that my 10 gallon tank is too small for my Molly's as Molly's grow over 5", which is not true. Molly's usually get around 4". The Molly's I have Are around 2" and I don't think they're going to get any bigger being that they are over 1 year old. I called again to let someone know what happened, and she told me the same thing. If these people are going to be selling fish, they need to know what they're talking about. read more

I hate coming to petco. Today my reason is because they price match but not with other stores. They only price match with the ONLINE PETCO WEBSITE!! Like wtf!???? How are their prices in store not the same as online. ASSHOLES. I don't want a reason. I know it's not the employees fault. The owner sucks! And! We couldn't even get help in the fish department. All we wanted were little ghost shrimp. Smh. They don't have enough employees? Looks like they don't treat them right or something. They look so sad and not interested in helping. And they charge 150$ plus when you can adopt an actual homeless pet for 24-65$ and they will get fixed before you get them. My pup needed his nails trimmed and we usually get the mini makeover which is walk in only service. Due to Covid I figured I would call first to see if it's still considered walk in or if we need an appointment. I started calling the grooming line at 8:30am. I called 8-9 more times between 8:30am-11am and no one answered the phone. I finally called the actual store (in store pick up line) because that is the only way to get through to the store. A lady answered and I asked her if grooming is closed and she said no but they are busy. I get they are busy but to never answer your phone? At one point I called the line 5 times in a row and still no one answered. I told her that I've been trying to call all day and she said she would transfer me over to grooming. Before the lady could put the phone on hold to transfer I heard her grunt and huff. I clearly inconvenienced her or else she was having the worst day. I don't know what's going on at this location or if they are just so understaffed but it's unacceptable for someone to be rude on the phone. At least wait until you are on hold to voice your frustration. FYI: you need an appointment for EVERYTHING for grooming whether it's nail trimming or grooming due to COVID. Once you actually get transferred over to grooming they would be happy to set up an appointment for you over the phone. read more

I took my husky to be groomed on Friday. They said since I gave her a calming treat they couldn't not serve her. I probably should not have told them. I asked how long do I have to wait. They scheduled me for Sunday at 1:30. Next thing I get a text saying they were canceling my appointment because I hadn't confirmed it? I'm like when was I supposed to confirm if I just left telling them I would see them in Sunday. I try to confirm and accidentally hit the 2 to cancel instead of the 1 to confirm. It was a nightmare trying to clear that up. Online there is no one to confirm with when you call there's no one to confirm with. Finally on Saturday afternoon I was able to speak with someone for them to tell me my 1:30 wasn't really an appointment. I:00 was the last one of the day, they scheduled me for 1:30 to fit me in. Ohmygoodness! I show up in Sunday at 1:30 to find in extremely crowded, there were 3 crates right inside the door full of kittens people were trying to get rid of. My dog was frightened by all the people, dogs and kittens and the noise. The technician come out and says my dog is "nippy". She doesn't think she can service her. WTHeck!!! Then I get this text saying I canceled the appointment. So what happens now!!!!! My dog doesn't get groomed! Where should I go for service!! What a bunch of unprofessional people. read more

Today I tried to book appointments for my two dogs grooming and been told they would not see my dogs and give me some where ekes to go. I asked reason and I was told there was some misunderstanding each other from last groomer. I looked back few months ago only I asked the groomer why there was a fee $6.99 plus tax, he told me dog shampoos he used. We bought the kids a fish tank last weekend and were advised to let the tank sit and filter out for a few days before introducing the fish. My husband took the kids on Thursday and they would not sell him fish because the filter hadn't run long enough. So I went on Saturday with the kids and tried to buy them fish again but nope they still would not sell us fish and referred us to PetSmart down the road. I called my husband and told him of the situation and he said "I think they're discriminating," but after reading the comments it looks like either there is some type of discrimination going on or they just don't want to sell fish. I find it hard to understand how this store stays in business. Twice I have visited with intention to buy fish and was denied due to a employee that lacks knowledge. I wanted to buy 7 mollies in total. I have a 55 gallon tank with only a few guppies and an algae eater which is more than big enough and the employee claimed I'm not allowed to because my tank is not big enough. These are normal mollies that get to 4 inches max. This means seven would require 28 gallons of water space (inch per gallon). Very frustrating as I drove 30 min out of my way read more
