I keep having problems with any live worms I get from this location. I ordered mealworms for a pick up and drove all the way home just to realize there was nothing inside the cup, not even sawdust, and I wasn't able to go back to get a refund or switch it out because I was going out of town the next day, so that not only sucked but I had to search for someone who was comfortable feeding my pets to go pick up a new one for me while in another country; and then we have today. Today I went to go get my pick up order and not only were the super worms I ordered all dead but the "Large" meal worms I ordered where all small babies, and you guessed it, didn't realize till I was home about to feed my animals. So now I have to drive back, and waste more of my money on gas, just to get my correct products. I don't usually make reviews but this has been so upsetting each time, this location really needs to step it up and make sure they are giving their pick up order customers the correct products and even more so make sure their live feed is actually ALIVE. read more

I signed my puppy for training classes and they were rescheduled and sent a message supposedly using an old number I did not list when I enrolled my pet. I showed up and was asked by Lindsay, a supposed trainer, why I was there. When I told her why she stated that it was only a puppy graduation day and she had no classes that day. She was extremely rude and very unprofessional. I told her about the scheduled classes and looked at my phone and chuckled to myself, thinking that this was really insane that I specifically signed up and looked forward to this class and this start date. Then she said under her breath, I don't see what's so funny. After I said excuse me thinking I must be hearing incorrectly, she then said to me that this puppy class was pushed to next Friday at the same time and that today was puppy graduation. I looked at her face and asked her why she was so angry, to which she replied that she did not appreciate being scoffed at. Because of her attitude and demeanor, it was clearly evident that this would not be a positive experience or partnership for me or my puppy to be in. I asked her if she could please let me know how to get a refund for the classes. Again, she chastised me and asked why I would request a refund if the class was only a week away. It's just a week! I again asked her why she was so angry and she said you get a refund at the front counter, I can call my manager for you, you need to get out of the puppy training area and it's too bad bc I love training doodles. I said, my puppy is not a doodle. Which angered her more. I will NEVER give this company a dime of my money. I would think someone in this role would be kind and compassionate. DO NOT COME HERE. I will be scheduling with PetSmart. My friend's MIL had a bad experience too. read more

But to be discriminated publicly at a national chain pet store such as Petco was truly shocking. **BEWARE OF THE SELF SERVE DOG TREATS** A few weeks ago I visited this location to purchase dog food and a pound of the treats from the self serve treat bar. Just this past Sunday my dog became extremely sick, which landed us at the emergency vet. At this time I had no idea what made her so sick since she hadn't had anything new in her diet and is never far enough away from us to have gotten into anything. Yesterday (07/09/19), I went back to this store to get more dog food and treats. When I got back home and went to refill my jar of dog treats, I found this maggots and thousands of eggs on her treats!! Now I knew why she had become so sick. I called Petco immediately and spoke with the manager, Trina, about what I just discovered and her response to me was, "Ok i'll throw away all the treats right now but did you need a refund or..?" She was completely unapologetic and I informed her of my dog becoming ill and that this was unacceptable. She then replied, "Well we throw the old ones away when we get our new shipments but there's always flies landing on them so that's probably why there was maggots." Are you kidding me?! We will never be back to this store and are appalled at her customer service skills and how she handled this situation. Hopefully our letter to corporate will do something about this occurrence. read more

This review is posted for customer service as well as store cleanliness: I walked in to buy food for my pets, I politely asked a associate where the restroom was located. She was mumbling to herself and mumbled the word "sorry", she was obviously upset unloading things alone with no one helping her. Thinking she didn't hear me, I asked her again politely, she DID HEAR ME, but chose to ignore me and walk away. I found the restroom on my own. IT IS LITERALLY THE DIRTIEST BATHROOM I HAVE EVER BEEN IN. There is no cleaning list for regular upkeep; one of the toilets literally had a sh*t stain on the seat. The sink was grimes and covered in dirt and dust. It would have been cleaner to use a bush outside with the dogs. I am no longer comfortable visiting this location, even if it is the closest pet store to me. I have been coming here since they opened, but I'll gladly make the trip to either Fontana Petsmart for supplies or Elliot's per store in San Bernardino who have phenomenal customer service. read more

We took our dog in for a basic wash and trimming. We received a call stating that our dogs face was swollen and if we wanted to pick him up. When we picked him up we were asked "since he's not in pain, would you like us to finish?". His eyes were swollen and so was his mouth. We took him to the vet. The vet said he had an allergic reaction. He was burping a fowl smelling odor as well. We figured we'd bring him to Petco because of their reputation but it turns out we should've just taken him to a small local spot. We won't be back to Petco. read more

I had a few questions and concerns and they answered everything I asked and assured me my dog was in good hands. Katy was my dogs groomer. Let me tell you that she was simply AMAZING!!!! My dog immediately bonded with her and it made me realize my Sky was in great care. Katy called me midway through the groom to give me an update which was awesome! She called me again when she was ready to go home. When I went to pick her up she looked like a brand new dog. I am 100% satisfied with the service and with Katy's work. So I was informed by the Groomers at Petco, that they will no longer service Senior Dogs, due to the high risk they may cause, while they are being bathed. I have been bringing my Senior dog to petco since I got him from the shelter 9 years ago. He is a Dachshund/ Chiwawa mix so being 14 for him is not really a Senior dog, but that's of course my opinion. In that time I have never had a problem with him while taking him to Petco. To be fair he does get Seizure since I adopted him, but they only happen like once or twice a month. And in all that time he's never had one while they groomed him at Petco. However they did offer to groom my other dog who was only a year old. So they want my money, they just don't want to touch my dog cause he's old. I said no thank you, I'll find another store to do business with, and another groomer. As far as the store it self I have never had a problem, its just with the Groomers. read more

Grooming Salon: The two star rating is based on an experience i had with the grooming salon without my pet even being there. Based on the service not the price, I would never bring my family member there for a grooming. My son who is only seven said, " that lady is not very nice." Just asking a couple of questions irritated her and she encouraged me to go somewhere else. My dogs are family members and deserve the respect of knowing they will be in capable and compassionate hands while having stressful services performed. Baths, haircuts, and nail services are stressful for dogs if your not familiar. Retail: I would give this location a four star rating only because they don't stock the quantities i need of specific brands of food. The staff is usually pretty helpful and genuinely nice when asked questions. The retail managers are exceptional when something is brought to their attention.....like a really unhappy lady in charge of grooming pets. Don't assume that everyone who is in the dog grooming business is happy with their job. Maybe she was all bark and no bite but I'll pass and stay with what I know. read more

Grooming: Made an appointment to have our dog groomed at 11:30am. They said they'd call when he was ready which would be about an hour or a little after. Never got a call and it was 1:10pm. So we went in and they told my husband he would be the next dog seen and then it would be another 2 hours!!! So why did we make an appointment for 11:30am if you aren't even going to see him until 1:30pm and not even call to tell us. Now we have to go all the way home and come back. NOT worth giving our money. ***update*** They took care of my issue right away and I was able to go in and get a full refund. Chad was amazing! I am extremely disappointed with this place! I use to have Magan groom my pet but ever since she left the person that does her grooming does not brush her teeth. Although, they do charge me for it.! I groom her monthly. I've been checking her teeth every time and her teeth never get cleaned. So happy with my grooming service today! I called here at 2:50pm, just to see if by any miracle they had any groomers available for a same day appointment & she said she would take my dog at 4! When I got there with my dog bella, Bella was so extremely nervous, trying to run out, shaking, scratching, even peed herself. I felt so bad. But pamala waiters for bella to calm down then took her in the back. It took 3 hours which kind of sucks but the results are beautiful! Bella looks so clean, smells so good, & looks beautiful! The only thing that sucked was there were no small rubber bands for bows to put in Bella's hair. But another lady put a pink bandana on bella instead. I've been going to petco for a while now and I've never had no problems They always done such a good job grooming my dogs, but this time that I took my dogs they did a very lousy job grooming them, I have 2 Bichons small dogs we took them to get a nails trim and a haircut, they did a really bad they shaved my dogs and they didn't even bathe them when we pick them up they still smelled really bad and they shaved my dogs tail and we told them not to, they did not do what we ask and they overcharge us, we paid $140 for two small dogs, I will not be going back to Petco. read more
