Grabbed a ton of things for our new puppy. This is a decently sized PetSmart! They have a lot of things, good variety! I need a little bit of everything for our new puppy. I found some dog food, dog toys, a harness and leash, some treats, pet spray for odors and food bowls. Perfect! I got everything I needed! This store was clean and very organized. I was able to find things easily. Service was good too. They were friendly and helpful at finding things. I was happy with my experience overall at this location and would go back if I found myself in the area! P.S. They had a bin of toys that were buy 3, get 2 free deal. That's great!!! Extremely disappointed by the level of customer service at this location. As a regular customer who has spent a significant amount here over time, I expect at least basic professional courtesy, which was entirely missing during my visit this morning. I approached the general manager to ask if she could check their inventory system for a specific item. The product wasn't visible on the sales floor, but items are often kept in storage or hidden further back. Instead of offering any assistance, she flatly refused, stating that she "was not competent" and had no intention of looking. What made the situation unacceptable was the stark contrast in her behavior: while she refused to help a customer, she spent a solid 20 minutes standing idly with a mop in her hands, chatting with a coworker. When I politely repeated my request, her tone turned raised and hostile. Condescending attitudes and raised voices from management are completely unprofessional and disrespectful. Security cameras can easily verify this interaction. It is unfortunate to see staff members representing Fontana who look down on customers while neglecting basic duties. I hope upper management addresses this poor representation of their brand. read more

We had taken our two huskies to get their grooming done at the north fontana location and had added the FURminator service on top of the bath. When making the appointment over the phone they were efficient and were able to get us in the following day. Making the appointment was no issue. We dropped our girls off at 9am. We received a phone call at 11:40am that they were ready for pickup. Once we get there we paid and were waiting for them to bring our girls out. The first one they had brought out was our youngest. She has no history of aggression just a very hyper active husky. When she was brought out, my dad had noticed she had a red mark on her side. Upon further look she had a bald spot on her fur and her skin had been irritated. My dad pointed it out and everyone was looking around asking who had been taking care of Nala. Everyone was saying it was Kass, which upon further review on the receipt it was Kass C. Once we noticed the red spot they didn't know what had happened and told us they were taking her next door to their banfield vet to get it checked out. Now, our dog is very social and cries when she is not allowed to go near someone because she gets very excited. Once they had brought her out she was tugging and not wanting to be taken from our side. She kept tucking her tail between her legs anytime an individual would get near her. They took her in a room and in less than 5 minutes they come out saying they believe she already had inflammation on her side and the brushing and grooming had caused more irritation. Mind you, our dogs are mainly indoor and they did not have any skin concerns before being taken in. They had been asking if she had some type of scab or anything beforehand but again, there was no skin concerns when taking her in and she did not have a single bald spot on her body. Now I know mistakes happen and especially with a hyper active dog like ours, it can be difficult to complete the bath and brush. The only thing that truly disappointed me was the lack of communication. We had gotten the call that they were ready and NOTHING was said. We arrived to pick them up and again, nothing was brought up. Paid and waited for them to be brought out and NOTHING was mentioned. It had been my dad who noticed the red sore spot and told them about it and even then, Kass herself didn't mentioned anything or talked about it at all. We never saw her once throughout the whole situation. We weren't looking to argue, we just wanted some type of explanation or more details about how the incident occurred so we can know how to go about it. The fact that there was really nothing said about the incident was insane and disappointing considering we weren't present when it happened and we wanted to hear what went wrong. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I've brought my Cane Corso to this PetSmart location before for grooming services and have always had positive experiences, which makes today's visit especially disappointing. I scheduled an emergency flea treatment appointment for my pup at 9:00 a.m., and everything seemed to be going well at first. While I was waiting around 11:00-11:30 a.m., I noticed a groomer working with a very small white dog (possibly a Bichon Frise or a similar breed). The dog appeared extremely frightened, it was shaking, barking, and attempting to bite, which I understand can happen when dogs are scared or stressed. What concerned me was the way the situation was handled. The groomer repeatedly raised her voice at the dog, saying things like, "Don't bite me," "What is your problem?" and "Don't try it." At one point, she also pulled the dog's back legs toward her while continuing to groom it. I completely understand that groomers have to prioritize their own safety, and no one should have to risk being bitten. However, if a dog is too stressed or reactive to be groomed safely, I believe it's better to stop the service than to continue in a way that appears forceful or intimidating. Watching the interaction was upsetting and left me questioning whether I wanted to continue bringing my own dog here. Unfortunately, that wasn't the end of my experience. After my dog's appointment, I walked her back to my car and noticed a strong odor. When she jumped into the car, I discovered that she still had feces smeared all over her backside. It was very noticeable, and I had to clean her myself before driving home. This was especially disappointing considering she had just been bathed. I returned to the salon, where Shanae (I apologize if I'm misspelling her name) handled the situation professionally. She sincerely apologized, immediately offered me a full refund, and even offered to clean my dog again. I appreciated her kindness and professionalism, but I respectfully declined because I no longer felt comfortable leaving my dog in the salon. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I don't expect perfection. However, pet owners place an incredible amount of trust in groomers when they leave their animals in their care. Between what I witnessed with another dog and the condition my own dog was returned in, I unfortunately no longer feel confident bringing my pet back to this location. I encourage PetSmart to review both the handling of anxious pets and their quality control procedures before dogs are returned to their owners. I truly hope this experience can help prevent something similar from happening to someone else. read more

My little puppy has been groomed here 3 previous times. Two times we had good service. The groomers were kind. However the last 2 times we encountered extremely rude groomers. The last time, the lady said we needed his rabies shot and refused to service us, even though we had already provided the shot record with the rabies vaccine. She told "no shot, no service." So rude! And they did end up finding the rabies shot. No apologies. Today- There was a discrepancy ( again) with finding his account and the 2nd time they got the breed wrong. So now they want to charge more money. I asked why does this keep happening to the cashier and this other rude girl chimed in and said she's explained it 3 times, feel free to take your dog elsewhere. Her name is Gena. I have decided that I will not longer use petsmart grooming period. I took my poodle to petsmart ontario and her tear stains were still visible after the groomer rudely asked me to return to pick up. Now picking her up from petsmart fontana and she has two razor cuts around an eye. Yes the groomer called to say her eye was red but no her skin was cut. I dont want to get anyone fired. I tipped them for their time but my dog reacts violently whenever I bring her to petsmart since Monday. She whimpers and dig her heels into the floor as if she is terrified. So....I'm not sure what the purpose of the pick-up sign is when only two employees are working at the register. While the employee that retrieved my order was pleasant I could have waited in line since they both appeared to be humans with two arms and could only manage the customer in front of them (not multiple customers at once). It thwarts the objective or in the customer's mind...I'm going to push this button and someone that is solely dedicated to retrieving online orders will get it for me and I will leave the store. I Brought my miniature schnauzer puppy here to get her groomed in September 0f 2023 and I should have known from this 1st mishap not to bring my dog back... anyway we dropped her off they called me to come get my puppy hours later come to find out they released her to us pre-maturely... we get halfway home & get a call saying she wasn't completely done ... so we bring her back so they could finish... mind you my dog is already traumatized from her first experience... we ended up waiting an additional 45mins to an hour to get her back the cut was decent & an actual proper cut for a schnauzer breed ... so we overlooked the mis communication. it's October and I sent her back this time my mother took her to get a cut because I was at work ...since her fur grew back pretty fast my mom told the employee she wanted the infamous schnauzer cut on the body & teddy bear face trim ... this is not at all what we asked for! They refused to sell fish to me because they said I did not have big enough aquarium. I have 10gal And 2 5gal. More room than what they have their fish in those small aquariums. I ask for 4 black tetras and 6 neon's the neon's where set put into 10gal aquarium, 1 betta they sold only the betta. I moved to Fontana about a year ago. I have a golden retriever who has been going to PetSmart grooming, banfield, pets hotel since he was a puppy. He is now almost 5. NEVER have I had an issue with negative feedback about aggression or excessive stress to the point they could no complete a service until today with this location. It's always "Bodhi is such a sweet boy". Today I booked a grooming appointment at this store with Diamond and she called me saying she isn't able to do the grooming today because he's stressing out too much and snapping at the water during his wash. He is a golden, he is playful, he loves water, and would never hurt a fly. I called and spoke to a manager and they basically just backed her up. I was only given the option to take him to a different groomer who only works M-F. Basically impossible with my work schedule. I've been a PetSmart customer for at least over 20 years with other pets as well and this is by far the worst service experience. If you are going to book a grooming appointment here I would NOT RECOMMEND Diamond. She must be new or something. If she can't handle a golden retriever makes me wonder if she sends all other dogs breeds back home for "aggression". I groomed during my college days. What a joke their groomers are. The actual room is small and stinks, there's 8 or 10 stations crammed super close. The air is stale and quiet with the exemption of dogs barking and whimpering in the cages behind the grooming room and then the groomers telling one of the dogs "well if you wouldn't pull away I wouldn't have to" . They overbook all their groomers. I was told that it would be 2 hours even after I hade ALREADY made an APPOINTMENT just for a wash and dry I asked why? They said that they work on multiple dogs at once and if I wanted to pay an extra $50 for express I could on top of the $80 I was already going to be paying. Otherwise I'd have to leave my poor pooch to be neglected in a cage for 2 hours. !#%* that!! I walked right out the door with my dog and cancelled the appointment. Awesome puppy training Maggie completed beginning, intermediate & advanced training with Maria O. and eight weeks of one-on-one training. Maria was awesome. Maggie is so well behaved it improved our quality of life. We can take Maggie anywhere. She is super well behaved and listens. We go on walks or runs and Maggie doesn't tug on the leash. She waits and stays whenever I ask her too. We go to PetSmart so much between training and buying things just about everyone in the store knows her. Maggie knows what I mean when I tell her we are going to PetSmart and gets all excited. Maria made raising and training a puppy easier and less stressful. Thank you Maria and PetSmart. Gotta love this store where you can bring your pets to walk while you shop. I took my puppy twice to get groomed with their Top Pup. Extra add ons for $15. First time he seemed clean, groomed and smelled handsome. Only thing missing was the bandana that was in the description of the extra fee. Silly, but something I expected. 2nd time, his nails that were cut and grinded had splinters of nails still attached. No bandana. And no "cologne" that is also part of the extra $15 fee. At this point, is he getting anal glands and ears cleaned, teeth brushing, brushed for 15 minutes? Who knows. They lack a few of the features that are offered so I don't even know what else they lack doing. Not sure if they just forgot what the fees include or maybe lack of caring? Decided after this I should just go to a local Groomer and not pay a conglomerate that's employees don't care about the money I spend on the services they are required to do.
