This place only has (from my experience) one person who knows how to handle my dog and most likely many more. Morgan is the girl I would recommend if you plan bringing your dog here cause hands down, she would always know how to take care of my dog but I messed up not knowing her name before until this last time I brought my dog. The girls (not Morgan) would always hesitate when grabbing my dog like if my dog was aggressive which he is not clearly since I've been bringing him here for a while. They told me I could not bring him anymore and said I had to go somewhere else without even apologizing. I recommend where ever you go to know the name of your groomer because not all dog groomers know how to handle dogs. read more

She has the worst attitude, and if you really care about your pets well being, I would highly recommend not using her. She is very cold, inconsiderate and not gentle at all when she handled my dog. I went into Petsmart they were asking me questions about my dog and being very personable and when I told them that he was a rescue they gave me a coupon book for dogs that were adopted. Inside was a free session with a trainer and when we redeemed it we were lucky enough to work with Barbie. She was super knowledgeable about dogs, open to questions, and worked really well with my pet Simba. We decided to sign up for training classes and it has been a godsend! She is especially wonderful with dogs that have unique issues. She comes up with all sorts of ways to solve problems and we are so happy that we are in the class. Simba has been doing very well and we're excited to keep going in the process by taking the advanced class next month. Highly recommend their dog training classes! If your dog doesn't pass you can take the class again at no charge. read more

We registered our seven month old cattle dog named Quigley for beginners course . I had read on Yelp and was told that Barbie would be his trainer and that she was great ! Hey Petsmart! I'm writing this review after paying a 500 dollar vet bill due to your terrible service on my dog. I have brought various dogs to be groomed at Petsmart for years, recently I was informed that they no longer remove hair from the dogs ear. The grooming "professional" informed me it wasnt necessary anyway. I didn't question it as I trusted that they knew what they were talking about. Fast forward to today, my dog was scratching incessantly at her ear and appeared to be in discomfort. After an examination from our veterinarian, it was determined that because of the excessive hair growth in her ear that was desperately needing removal, it caused her to develop an ear infection. She required sedation for the hair to be removed and her ears properly cleaned, a handful of medications, and may have permanent damage to her ear drum. You're already over priced service is causing harm to pets! read more

I finally had it, I dropped off my pup at 10 and by 3pm they call me and say that they couldn't do anything because he was too anxious. If you're looking for a dog training class for your fur baby, look no further. Gabby O. is wonderful! I recently adopted a dog from a local rescue. He came from the streets of Mexico. We named him Rocko, as in Rocko's Modern Life. He was probably a little over a year and definitely needed training. He obviously wasn't potty trained and had no idea what toys even were. I have never taken a dog to training, and trust me, I have had many dogs. I am an RVT (Registered Veterinary Technician), so having a lot of pets come with the territory. Gabby worked so well with Rocko. He is suspicious of everyone at first, but he took to Gabby very quickly. Gabby is very sweet and mindful of your dogs specific needs. Per the manager onsite face masks are not required to shop in this store. Even though there is a sign that's states that. Just had a couple in line in front of me neither one of them had face mask so I asked he manager how is it that you can pick and choose who wears a mask when your sign says "it's required". She basically said if they don't want to wear it we can't make them. I get that but don't have a sign stating it's required then because clearly it's not. read more

I came and bought 3 packs of chicken treats for my cat at the beginning of December. I went home and my cat wouldn't eat the food. Turns out, the treats expired in July if 2018... almost a year ago! I brought them back in for a refund, and pulled the remaining snacks off the shelves to show the front. I brought these treats back in the end of December. It is now midway through January... I come back to find that the treats are back on the shelf! All with expiration dates of July 2018. I brought them up the front and was really disappointed. They need to make a law for PetSmart where they have camera recording of inside. German Shepherd came back with a fractured tooth and they claimed they "think" it was fractured before his visit and every second since he came home he is whimpering and crying. You need video surveillance and hire compassionate human beings. I hope whoever fractured his tooth with force experiences the same as karma. read more

Had brought my golden & schnauzer from grooming . About 2 hours from drop off, they called me to say my dog won't be ready before another 3 hours. I have never heard of such thing! I asked why, as there were 5 groomers. The floor manager said, they are short groomers and have other dogs. That's ridiculous as they had mine for almost 2.4 hours, and only started washing the golden. I asked to just dry the golden and I will pick up. Reina explained, dogs are dried while in their cages. I asked how long? She said, "the dryer has a timer." She didn't know for sure but it's can be off and on for an hour. I was livid. My husband picked up both dogs in 5 minutes. My golden was panting and probably got overheated! Be careful. read more

All the workers are amazing and helpful! We took our pup for doggy training with the beginner, intermediate, and advanced package. I took all 3 classes with Barbie and she is AMAZING. All her patience with my high energy husky mix was great. She took the time to explain all the training during our class and helped develop ways to refine it. Especially when my pup would react to different scenarios (let's just say my pup does not like little dogs), she helped give tips on having him get desensitization to the environment. All about focus and treats! She helps build a bond with your dog too. My pup LOVES Barbie and gets excited to go to class. I had drag him out of petsmart a few times lol. Friendly and helpful service. Some prices are good, some not so good. I saw they had good deals on dog clothing but the selection was small. Needed some dog dewormer, so I called. The woman on the phone was helpful but $35 for pyrantel pamoate for a small dog is pretty absurd. That drug for humans is at the drugstore for like $10. Went online and ordered a better dewormer, Fenbendazole for $11. I understand that running a retail store costs a lot so they need to charge more but more than 3 times the price seems a bit excessive, IMO. Hence the retail apocalypse. Sigh. read more

Terrible customer service, avoid this PetSmart if you can. Parking lot was closed almost didn't go in, had to park on the far side of the parking lot. Needed to buy two different prescription dog foods. I accidentally left one of the prescription cards in the car. I thought the clerk would help me out knowing the parking lot situation. NOPE! She insisted I would need to go get the other prescription card out of the car to sell me the food. For me to do this it would have taken me ten minutes to walk out and back to my car for a piece of paper. A clerk with common sense and one who cares about customers would have found away to sell me the food. Maybe PetSmart could offer some common sense training. Fortunately, I don't have to shop here because I won't be back anytime soon with this poor customer service. read more

When my rescue told me that Petsmart had a great training program I kind of hesitated thinking how great can a store program be. Well, she was correct !! Barbie has been absolutely fantastic. My little Rylee is flying through the program. I also have a dog Tucker that was abused and after months of trying, Barbie finally found a treat that he loves. As most people know, it's can be difficult to train a dog that could care less about treats. Now that she's found something, I will be putting him through her pet therapy class along with Rylee. He came back with his nails poorly done, food in this teeth, his head smelling like dust, and no sanitation trim done. I highly recommend taking your dog here for training with Barbie! When we first started with my new puppy, It was hard to imagine that she could learn to heel by my side for walks, leave things in her path alone, or stop jumping up in people. Barbie has changed our lives! My dog has come so far! She has earned her Canine Good Citizen title, is a certified therapy dog, and has just earned her AKC advanced trick dog title. All because of our work with Barbie! She's really cares about each and every dog and is able to read their body language and help you understand what your dog is communicating to you and how best to respond. She uses positive reinforcement techniques and the dogs get to practice their skills in the store. If you have a dog that is pulling on the leash, barking at other dogs and is generally out of control, give these classes a try! You will have to practice at home and be ready to provide lots of treats, but you can transform your dog. Also I can't say enough about the Brain Games class, where my dog learned to differentiate colors, and she learned to read!!! My dog Bella has talking buttons and we gave her a "Barbie" button because seeing Barbie every week for her training has become that important to Bella.
