I can not recommend this place! First off, Covid aside, there is a sign on the door that reads: Please Do Not "Disrespect" This Place Or "Offend" Our Customers By Wearing A Mask As a Special Educator and former restaurant manager, they are in direct violation of ADA law as some people must wear masks due to other medical condition and have rights. It is illegal to deny anyone for a potential medical reason from wearing a mask regardless of Covid. If management wishes to not require a mask, fine, I'm all supportive, I'd personally love to. But this isn't about politics or vaccine/anti-vac positions. I ask that the management reconsider its position or legal action will be filed. You posted on your door. You are now legally liable for your written comments as your other "sign" tells potential and current patrons that is we don't like your policy, there's a pizza place across the street... And to respond to a previous post by Kim. B, the owner responded that he recorded your call. In Florida, he is legally required to ask for your permission AND acquire consent before recording so, again, it goes to failure to obey and/or respect laws...as well as showing tolerance. Stopped for a slice of pizza and was shocked when I was served a slice that looked like it was 2 slices uncut. It was delicious, crispy and thin with very tasty sauce, that came with a canned or bottled drink of your choice all for $5 dollars! Our office decided to give this place a try today 11/28/18. Person taking the multiple orders over the phone was very nice. He had to put us on hold a couple of times but he was very courteous about it. I ordered the heavenly Stromboli and a half dozen garlic rolls. Yes it's greasy it's good quality Italian food. Who eats Italian while trying to stick to a diet? Lol ... anyways my food was very good. I added banana peppers. It has an awesome amount of cheese and tons of toppings maybe that's why you are paying a little more than some places. Delivery came on time and the guy who delivered it was so very sweet and kind. Food was hot when it came. Whoever this deliver driver is KEEP HIM he's a 5 for sure :) Our office will be ordering again for sure. We like to support christian businesses. I SCORED A FREE PIZZA, Y'ALL. I've seen this place for years, but could never bring myself to try it because I was a bit put off by the religious part. However, I've since decided that, unless someone actively tries to convert me and/or tells me I'm going to hell, they can do whatever they want as long as they make a good pizza. I've ordered from here a few times, twice for their lunch special (two slices and a soda) and once to pick up a medium pizza for our office. The pizza is quite good, and with the lunch special, they even let you substitute bottled water for the soda at no extra charge. While I still have my absolute favorite pizza joint, this is a solid option in the area, and it's nice to experience friendly service, which is not always a guarantee around here. They have more than just pizza, and I'd be interested to try some of their other menu items. Today was the first time we opted for delivery, since one of our co-workers is off this week and we couldn't leave to get food. So imagine our surprise when the delivery driver brings in the pizza and tells us it's free! Say whaaat?! The driver told us that Phil randomly chooses someone to give a free pizza to, with a little note attached to the box that says, "Complimentary from Phil's Heavenly Pizza. Have a great day! God Bless! -Phil" (see the photo I posted). The driver would not even accept a tip, saying they do this together. It was such a lovely, unexpected surprise! How awesome is that?! I admittedly let my misgivings about the whole "church in a pizzeria" keep me from giving this place a shot before. Wow, I love this place. A " Church in a pizzeria". Notice what comes first there. The owner of this place is on a true "mission from God". Daily Bible studies, Sunday services, community outreaches, and counseling and prayer available anytime. There's Bible verses on the wall, and Christian music playing all the time. I was very inspired by talking to Phil, the owner. You can tell he loves God. Oh yeah... The pizza? Well, it may seem like my review of it is an afterthought, but it isn't an afterthought to Phil. Everyone around me seemed to love what they were eating. If you read any of my reviews though , you'll see that I've been totally gluten free for a year now, so one reason I went to PHP is that they advertise they have Gfree pizza available. If there's one thing I miss, being Gfree, it's pizza. Well I have to tell you, Phil's was amazing. The best Gfree pizza I've had yet in a pizzeria. Ordered a pizza...picked it up ...got home....opened the box and there was a very long dark hair in the pizza....called them ,theysaid they would make another....got there to pick it up and no apology or anything....told Phil (the owner)we wanted our son who was here from out of town to try the pizza. Every so often I develop my film at a pro lab a few doors down, and it wasn't until my boyfriend mentioned wanting calzones that the "Calzone Factory" sign finally caught my attention. Sure it has a ton of religious markings and references on both the inside and outside of the restaurant, but don't let that sway your decision to go not go inside. This food is serious business! I walked in to take a look at the menu and decided to go with the peperonni calzone to go. The time it took to make this monstrous calzone was very reasonable - maybe 10-15 minutes. The only difficult part was trying to not eat half of it before I arrived home since the aroma of the melty cheesy goodness had to follow me in my car and back to the office. Later on that night I took one bite (followed by many more) and it was well worth it. They do not skimp on the amount of cheese they put - the only thing I'd alter is asking them to lighten up on the ricotta cheese and maybe asking for extra pepperoni. With that said, Phil's Calzone Factory is a godsend for carb overloading. Plus, the price was reasonable (around $12) and it could feed 2 people easily. I'll definitely be back, only next time I'd like to try out some of the pizza. read more

We walked in and were immediately disappointed about this "no mask" policy. Requiring people to remove their masks inside is just irresponsible during this pandemic. There was a sign inside that said vaccines are killing people and that masks make people sicker. This is perpetuating misinformation and is dangerous to the public and goes against most bible teachings. Always 5 stars! My go-to spot for picking up pizza! It's always on time, hot and fresh. Super nice people work there. I like to go a few min early and check out his fish tank in back. When I Yelp rate a restaurant, it's always based upon my overall dining experience which includes not only the quality, nature, flavor and taste of the food, but the service, ambiance and atmosphere as well. However, for the purposes of this review, it's going to be based upon food only. Phil's Heavenly Pizza is like no other place I've been. It's a really very, very, Christian religious place, and shows it all over the place. Any comment I might make about atmosphere or ambiance might be, and probably would be viewed as being bias or in some way prejudice. While some may enjoy munching their pizza while viewing Phil's flat screen with a continuous loop playing of a 1977 movie with Roman legionnaires whooping it up while torturing the ever loving hell out of some Jewish guy then crucifying him, it just isn't for me. So, I'm going show some pics, but not touch upon it. I'll only quote Phil who may have best describes the atmosphere, ambiance and dining experience as being "The Church in a Pizza." For food, though Phil's emphasis is upon his "Heavenly Pizza," his menu offers a lot more. It has appetizers, salads, both hot and cold subs, a whole listing of calzones and signature strombolis, hot entrees including eggplant parmigiana and lasagna, burgers, chicken wings, deserts and beverages. For pizza there is a standard listing of about nine coming in medium, large or at a mere $2.35, by the slice, but no small. Then as another good thing, Phil's has one of the most extensive lists of toppings of any pizza place around with everything you can think of from capicola to anchovies. For me, I ordered their "Heavenly Pizza" which has a base of extra cheese, pepperoni, sausage and mushroom to which I added anchovies, eggplant and black olives. When doing my counter order I found the clerk to be exceptionally friendly as well as polite and when waiting for my pizza found the other four customers, who were engaged in some sort of old testament bible (thought that was the Book of the Jews) study, to also to be exceptionally friendly, even offering me a taste of their food. And, you'll also find everything here to be spotlessly clean not only inside but in their rather lovely garden like sidewalk patio as well. Though I have no idea why, the wait time for my pizza was 29 minutes (yes, I timed it), which I thought to be rather long. But, that may be because I'm used to having "Pizza alla Neopolitana" in style cooked in a fired 1,000F oven, done within 90 seconds, instead of however New York style may be made. When my pizza arrived it was clearly New York in style but not with a taste or texture wherein you'd suddenly think you are in Brooklyn. It's just not the same as the New York style found there. Though the flavors were close, to me and though New York style was originally meant to be soft enough to be folded I half, it was really way too mushy, almost liquid soup against the crust. However, in one way, since Phil's persists in using plastic (I hate eating with plastic) for eating utensils, the mushiness worked out rather nicely. So, based upon food alone, the best I can say is that, as far as New York pizza goes, meh, I've had better. read more

I walked in wearing a mask and asked if they still had the two slice and a soda special? I was told yes but I didn't need to wear the mask I was wearing. I said causally I'll remove it when I am eating. He said if you insist on wearing the mask you must sit outside and that's were I will take your order. I said ok and went outside and got in my car and left. He has every right to run his business the way he feels he should and I also have the right to eat elsewhere. I would personally not recommend this place if you don't like being told that you're going to hell for wearing a mask. My girlfriend has Celiac's disease so we were attracted to this place due to the great GF reviews we saw online. We put in our order over the phone and it was ready in 20min with no issues. When I went to pick up my order an older gentlemen who seemed to be in charge told me no masks were allowed in the facility and that I needed to put my mask in a bowel before entering. I told him as a medical student working in the ER I felt more comfortable wearing my mask. He said "most people would be happy to be in a mask free facility." I said while that is true I personally have seen people lose their lives so I would prefer to keep it on. He said, "so you believe that load of shit." I said yes sir I have helped saved lives, and he said "the only one saving lives is Jesus." I said I believed him and that I am a devout catholic that goes to church every Sunday, and he shouted "doesn't matter if you are wearing a mask and don't believe in Jesus you're going to hell!" I was honestly in shock, and another worker told him to calm down so he left me alone. I paid for my pizza, calzone and personal GF personal pizza, and told the other worker who processed our order that we appreciated the GF option. He did not seem too fond of me either and was very quiet. I was in disbelief of the service and never felt so uncomfortable. I understand that this option is probably a huge draw to some people in the area, but due to my profession and experiences I would never go back. On top of that the GF pizza likely had some cross contamination because it upset my girlfriends stomach anyway. The only nice thing I will say is that the portion sizes are huge and their sausage tastes very good. read more

This sign is at the front entrance. This is supposed to be a Christian ran resturant, however this not very Christian at all. But besides the establishment being anti mask. I discovered while in there they have cauliflower crust pizza and gluten-free.... instead of a slice I decided to order a pie.... I was hanging out waiting for the pie someone brought it to me and when I reach for my credit card they just said to me " it's on the house".... I asked "are you sure " ? And gentleman said we randomly give out free pie.... I thought I would drop the box.... Stopped in for a slice as I heard the pizza was the best around. Walked in the front door and......holy crucifix batman! Jesus was everywhere. So Phil's Heavenly Pizza name has a double meaning. Not to mention days during the week when a church service is held in the pizzeria... But what about the pizza? My pepperoni slice was good and filling. Far from heavenly but tasty. $2.35 or a cheese slice and $.50 each for toppings. The cokes and other sodas are in a self serve fridge. They are cans and $.90. Overall a pretty good value considering. The "heavenly" interior was quite small with 3 or 4 cramped tables. I hope heaven is a bit larger or I am in big trouble lol. Regardless of your faith, the inside is a bit creepy.
