Great Philz location with the best coffee. Service was pretty quick and you can order ahead of time. Inside, there's pretty high ceilings and a good amount of tables to do work. Several outlets available. No code for bathroom.

Being able to work close by to Philz has been a blessing! Overall love the coffee and the taste is always consistent and what I'm looking for. The service is super friendly as well, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is that it does take a little longer than expected to get a drink. Maybe it's due to the need to blend different drinks and beans at all times, but it overall is a place I will continue to go to happily.

Philz always hits and this is a very spacious and convenient location near the Chase Center! The staff are always very friendly and helpful, and their drinks are great too - always well-balanced, creamy if you want it to be, and not too sweet (great for taste buds like mine haha). Lots of seating with small tables and chairs with outlets on the walls and plenty of natural light from the huge windows. The only con is that it may take a while for your drink to be made, but it's worth it. Overall: 5/5

SERVICE: baristas are nice & they are very speedy compared to other philz locations i've been to. cashier seemed upset to be there tho DRINKS: this location has never disappointed me :)

This Philz is spacious and has lots of places to sit both inside and a few outside. There's never usually a line here and the drinks come out perfectly and quickly! There's not too many plugs here but if you are looking for somewhere to casually hang out, then this is great for you. It is right next to Chase Center so ideally you'd already be in the area. I wouldn't come park here just for Philz. I love the Mint Mojito, but recently I've been getting the Ecstatic Iced Coffee (because it has one of the highest caffeine contents but sweet chocolate flavor) or the Philtered Soul with a hint of hazelnut. If you have never been to Philz, then just know it's not your typical coffee shop. I always order my coffee "Sweet and Creamy"! If you don't like how your drink comes out, you can always let the barista know and they will remake the drink to your taste. Usually it's always great for me though :)

The iced mint mojito did not have as much flavor as I remember. Perhaps it's because they don't muddle the mint anymore. The bacon and egg burrito was delicious It was nice and hot and big chunks of eggs. The line was t too bad and we did get our drink and food quickly.

My first time at a Philz Ordered Tesora with oat milk (medium) with sweet honey, hot. It was delicious! No espresso, just strong coffee UPDATE: came here a second time and ordered the rose coffee with oak milk and honey (instead of sugar), i absolutely LOVED UT! This is my new fave

I really don't think Dubs fans really need caffeine. By the time they get to Chase Center in packs, they're so jacked up on Warriors-ignited adrenaline that I pray they're ordering decaf. Otherwise I assume the baristas will need to peel them off the ceiling with a large blue & gold spatula. Otherwise I got no complaints about this particular location. Philz is Philz, and this one's pretty cavernous with a lot of Philz merch. Gee, where's the Dubs merch? Anyway, I got my $5.35 Large Silken Splendor without incident. Light light, of course (photo: https://bit.ly/3sAUU1i). Even though I was surrounded by highly vocal fans in full Warriors regalia. I felt like an outsider about to be recruited like a Scientology seminar. Time to go. COFFEE - 4 stars...smooth though it took a while to cool AMBIANCE - 4 stars...a more spacious Philz SERVICE - 4 stars...they keep their cool even though the Dubs fans were pumped TOTAL - 4 stars...the Dubs need their Philz or at least their fans do in all their Warriors wear RELATED - Exploring Mission Bay? It was easy to order online and pick up, and the person behind the counter kindly helped me confirm the order's contents. 4/5 12 oz Matcha Latte with Almond Milk This is one of the better tasting matcha lattes from a bakery/cafe that isn't a standalone tea shop. I could taste the matcha powder, though it wasn't grassy. It's nice to see oat milk doesn't have its own surcharge, but it is pricy at $7.25 for 8 oz, and $8+ for 12 oz. 2/5 Kaya Toast The Kaya jam tasted strange to me, though the others sharing the meal said it was good. I couldn't define what exactly it was, maybe I couldn't handle the milkiness nor pandan overload. The bread was soft and fluffy, though. My friend said the kaya toast was comforting and reminiscent of home. 5/5 Kaya Bun This was a 2-in-1 dessert. The top is a chewy matcha cookie atop a cream bun. The pandan cream was nice and smooth, and less milky and strange than the kaya toast. I wasn't as impressed by the bun itself, it seemed a bit on the hard side (similar to chasiu bao). However, this is a dessert I may get again. 5/5 Shrimpwich The shrimp patty was bouncy with a brisk crunch. The veggies also added a nice tang to the burger. I think this was a crowd favorite within the brunch haul. 3.5/5 Chicken Cutlet Sandwich Tasting the chicken cutlet first, I found this to be somewhat close to the taste of Taiwanese cutlet. However, when combined with the pickled veggies, I found the sourness overpowered everything in this sandwich. The pickled veggies did have a nice crisp to them, though. 3/5 Mango Passionfruit Monkey Bread This was also sour (as expected), and on the drier side. I did have a small piece from the outside, so it may be more moist near the center. 2/5 Chocolate Soba-ko Cookie This was an odd cookie. Folks described it as "healthy tasting", and I personally think it tasted like a flourless cookie? I liked the crunch and toasty quality of the buckwheat, but the cookie fell apart and didn't have the stuck together hold you find in chewy cookies. 2/5 Sesame Cookie This seems to be Breadbelly's take on an Asian alfajore. The caramel was tasty, but I wasn't sure it went together well with the sesame, as both flavors tend to be overpowering. It also fell apart easily. There were a few other items that caught my eye (guava chocolate milk?!), so I might be back to check them out.

I've been here a few times and this time I remembered to take photos of the pastries before digging in! We tried the ube twice-baked croissant, ham and cheese croissant, curry potato bourek, and the spicy chicken pepper sausage croissant. The savory pastries were packed with flavor, and the ube croissant struck the perfect balance of sweetness without being overpowering. I also love that they offer unique pastries you don't find at most bakeries. The café itself is small and cozy, and the staff were warm and friendly. It's usually packed, but we arrived at the perfect time and were able to grab everything we wanted before they sold out. We'll definitely be back to try more of their delicious pastries!

To be fair, they weren't terrible, but we had similar dishes the week prior (at La Connessa) and they weren't nearly as good here. The pizza was totally wet/soggy (and very pork-y), the pasta was a bit undercooked (like I had some bites of raw dough), and they just didn't maintain the same flavor explosions as the apps. Service / ambiance: This lovely little coffee nook is tucked into the lobby of an apartment complex. Many of the residents also seem to be frequent patrons, and the staff at Progeny frequently greets folks by name. Even if you don't live here, the staff is still plenty friendly. They offered great recommendations on what to get (one of the first baristas who really delivered on my request for a sweet treat that wasn't too sweet). You can sit at the collection of tables in the apartment lobby, which includes a set of giant steps and huge windowsill bench. It's all a bit unconventional but very cozy. They also have access to the building's WiFi, so you can easily spend all day here. Food: Outstanding coffee and snacks, all of which is pretty affordable priced. I got an americano and black sesame mochi cake, which came out to less than $10...honestly unheard of in much of SF. The americano was outstanding. Progeny is focused on ethically sourced Colombian coffee, and you can really see their love for the country and product in every cup. The coffee is fragrant, slightly fruity, but not overly bright. It went wonderfully with the nutty, not-to-sweet black sesame mochi cake.
