Hey Philz, thanks for the quick and easy mobile ordering and pick up! If you haven't had anything from Philz, where have you been living? This location is quite popular with plenty of parking. On a very gorgeous day, you'll find people sitting out, talking, laughing, eating, chatting, working maybe, and enjoying some great sips! I feel like that this is near where I work. Not as close as I'd like it to be, but I'll take drivable. No complaints here. Service is excellent. I almost always do a mobile order and time is always met. Love this option. I come here once in a while during my lunch break. Service is friendly. Coffee is solid, though not cheap, but that's to be expected at a Philz. There is ample seating both inside and outside. What I think they need more of, is staff making the coffee. I can't wait 15-20 minutes for a coffee during my break. Part of the problem is that all the drinks being made were mobile orders. There was a row of them, unclaimed, while a handful of people who ordered in store were patiently waiting for their drinks. After 5 minutes to order and another 15 minutes waiting for my drink, I gave up and left so I wouldn't be marked as late at work. Out $7 because they don't have adequate staff and the prioritization of in store vs mobile ordering isn't optimized. read more

I LOVE coffee & Philz, but this location can never nail my drinks every time I order :( I don't ever order anything complicated just FYI! Usually get basic drinks (mocha tesora, ecstatic, philtered soul all iced house way) I'm used to the San Jose & San Francisco locations never disappointing with their drinks, but Walnut Creek's location always lacks taste, cream, sugar, somethingggg. Big space to work at without the deafening silence of a library but without bustling and hustling of a BART car. Bathrooms not gender specific. Parking is huge. This is where CVS is located at. I love Philz! Some of the most well crafted coffee in this area. I mostly order on the app and i have not had any issues with it. Service is very responsive and reliable. The ambiance is really cute! They have a little lounge spot with charging ports for anyone who's looking to get some work done. My go to order is the mint mojito latte or the philtered soul with hazelnut syrup. I trust Philz a lot so I always order it "Philz way". Nice coffee definitely recommend. Only downside is maybe the parking if you're trying to stay and work at the coffee spot. The service was pretty quick and there is ample seating. Very comfortable and the music was very lively. I was impressed with the access to cords for those with devices. Dogs are NOT allowed. The offer dog biscuits at checkout, which is nice... then make you and your dog sit on the crappy hot parking lot patio. Coffee is as good as any Philz, which is to say 20 different blends made fresh to order, none of them as good as whatever pre-made medium-grade coffee they're pouring at Peet's. read more

We waited 30 minutes for our drinks.. The app/mobile orders have created a mess, especially on a busy Sunday morning. They prioritized app orders over in-person orders. There's absolutely no reason to be waiting half an hour for coffee. Shut off app orders during busy times or prioritize in-person orders so we are not just sitting there twiddling our thumbs watching app orders come out. Love the vibe in this place. Workers a friendly and upbeat and the coffee and food is great. My go to coffee is the Tesora with light cream (hot). This drink is absolutely devine. It's smooth and creamy (doesn't really need the cream) and is easy to drink. My wife's go to is the iced Mojito with mint leaves, with almond milk and sweet and creamy. Simply the BEST!!! I'd like to think that it's because of the simplicity of my order that they always get it right but I think they just do a very good job, in general. I don't think we've ever had a bad cup of coffee at Philz. Because of the distance from home to this location, coffee is usually ordered ahead of time and I guestimate how much time it will take us to drive there. Almost 100 percent of the time, it's timed so that I am waiting a minute or two for the iced mint mojitos. I love a good mocha tesora from philz and I did not realize that this location makes them the best until a friend pointed it out to me. I am not sure why there's has the best flavor! Tucked away in a very large shared parking lot, drop in for your cup of coffee, sweet, or savory treat. The line was not long nor was the wait to order. Usually the wait to receive your order takes a bit longer. They have a seating area right by the counter so it's enjoyable to sit and wait until your order is out on the counter. Places to relax indoors and outdoors. If you sit outside, it's kind of nice bc the way r the building is positioned, it can block out direct sunlight - at least the time that I had gone there. I love their drinks and have been coming to the Walnut Creek location regularly for a couple of months. My go-to is the Iced mint mojito, the house way. I used to travel to Berkeley to get my Philz fix but this is so much more convenient. Their app is very user-friendly and great when I'm in a hurry. Their food and drinks are fantastic but the Walnut Creek Philz employees are the best I have ever seen. Today, a special needs customer received his drink from the counter and accidentally spilled his beverage all over the counter and the floor. The customer was distraught. He sadly asked if could get another drink. The barista, Hallie, reassured him that of course she would make him another drink. Quietly, Jai and Brian (the other baristas) cleaned up the counter and floor around him while Hallie was busy making all the drinks. When the customer left, I complimented them on how well they handled the situation. They said that it was easy to clean up a spill and they didn't want the customer feeling sad for something so small. Philz baristas really shined today during the morning rush. Bad experience. Seems the service just keeps degrading at this Philz location. We ordered through the mobile app well in advance and got 1 of 2 drinks on time. So, we waited for the second one for about 10 minutes, but it never came. I asked the lady who made the first cup of coffee if the second cup was coming, but she said she never saw it, even when the sticker on the cup said 1 of 2. The other baristas just said straight up said nope. She said it was a printer issue, which was totally understandable, and was going to make it. However, she never did. I was literally sitting right at the counter, and she just walked off to help other customers and never came back. I gave up after waiting a few more minutes to see if she would come back, but never did. There's no sense in trying to wait any longer to ask again. I'm not one to cause a huge scene at a public place, so I left frustrated at such as a horrible service to a paid and patient customer. I was greeted by an energetic "good morning, welcome in," and then again, another good morning greeting from a fellow employee stacking bagged coffee. I stood near the counter to take mental note of what I would order. I placed my order. I decided on the pork sausage and egg burrito and mocha tesoro with oatmilk. The folks at this Philz are willful fuckers. Took 1hr15min to get my DoorDash order. Their app said it would only take 10min. No this isn't a DoorDash issue because I had my friend in San Ramon check his philz vs DoorDash it was only 15min for either. Now the coffee as you can from the receipt is willfully fucked up.
